Guest Reviews
- Amy (9/5): Beautiful property with outstanding staff - The rooms were beautiful and spacious and the view out our window was absolutely stunning. The staff were some of the best I have encountered: warm, welcoming, helpful. The breakfast buffet offered plenty of delicious options. The little town of Montbazon was cute and Dolce Vita restaurant is a must go. The dinner we had at the restaurant was only average. Menu options were limited so I had chicken and one other of us had veal. The veal had very little taste so definitely not a good choice. The service was amazing. One little detail: there were 2 pugs and a large Italian hound dog in the restaurant. I didn't mind at all but some might.
- Kevin (10/5): Beautiful Chateau in an Awesome Location - Dinner was awesome, we enjoyed the sommelier helping us pick the right wine for our dinner. Chateau was beautiful, in a great location. The bar menu could have had a larger selection of wines. The selection of wines in the restaurant was huge.
- Geert (9/5): - Fantastische plek
Mooie natuur en prachtig chateau

- Richard (10/5): I’ve always wanted to stay in a French château and this one did not disappoint. We love the experience of driving up fro - What an absolute pleasure to be able to stay in a property like this once we learnt the history of the property it was owned and developed by the Cody family. We were very impressed with the state of repair and overall ambience of the Château. Unfortunately the rooms are a little tired and in need of updating however they were clean and tidy and the bathrooms were adequate. The staff went to great links to explain that there is a significant renovation program taking place over the next few years which will see our bedrooms and bathrooms upgraded.
- Arnulf (8/5): -
- Erin (10/5): - What I loved about staying at Château d’Artigny was how effortlessly it made me feel like I stepped into another world. The grounds were beautiful and peaceful, the kind of place where even a simple walk felt romantic and cinematic. I loved the elegance of the château itself, but what stood out most was the feeling, quiet luxury, charm, and a sense of slowing down to really enjoy where I was. It felt like a little fairytale tucked into the Loire Valley, and for a moment, life just felt softer there. My stay at Château d’Artigny was truly memorable. Beyond the beauty of the château and its peaceful, storybook setting, what made the experience so special was the people. Every interaction felt warm and genuine. From the restaurant staff, to the front desk team, to the spa, everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive. They made me feel comfortable from the moment I arrived, and that level of hospitality turned a beautiful stay into one I’ll always remember.

- Romain (10/5): -
- Oleksandr (3/5): My family and I came here to celebrate my wife's birthday. We were disappointed with the room in a hotel of this sta - Beautiful nature and the hotel looks good too. There were cobwebs in the room. The toilet didn't work. There was a terrible sewer smell.
- ISSAIDEN (10/5): -
- Anton (6/5): Looks good outside but sad inside - Majestic Chateau, spacious halls The room design is from 80s. It definitely needs renovation. The territory is not that variable, besides courts and pool there’s nothing else
- Stephen Thomas (7/5): -

- Michel (9/5): -
- Sarah (10/5): Magical and memorable. - Stubbing chateau Nothing
- Heather (8/5): - Beautiful place. Amazing pool. We were hoping for better croissants.
Obsoleto.
- Frank (10/5): Elegant classic beauty with a friendly staff—especially Julien. - Gorgeous property. Julien was very patient and helpful with booking our train tickets. The junior suite was exceptional. Not much. Only the bed was a little hard for our tastes. But the extra quilt was delivered and that made all the difference.
- Clara (8/5): -
- Cagla (10/5): -
- Pascal (8/5): Good stay could be even better with better cleanliness - Location, prestige, good food Cleanliness is not perfect which is a bit surprising
- Charline (9/5): -
- Catherine (7/5): -
- Ian (8/5): We enjoyed the visit but the experience was spoilt by lack of maintenance and poor housekeeping. - Beautiful property. Nice spa, great restaurant Heating in the bedroom was not working. Weather was sub-zero and only provided a small electric heater.
Should have moved us to a better room. Shower tray did not drain properly, conditioner bottle in the shower was broken. Very poor housekeeping for such a grand hotel.
- Ewelina (6/5): Zimny zamek - Wystrój świąteczny zamku, atmosfera. Super smaczna kolacja. Nie polecam wyjazdów w zimie z dziećmi. Pokoje zimne.
- nicolette (1/5): Dio not stay there! - it is not a 5 star hotel. it was more like an old people's home. it was cold, smelled of fried food, shabby and no service. we left 2 hrs after arriving....thi nki ng it wpould be wonderful for christmas......it was so bad we couldnt stay even one night. why is it rated 5 star....it should be three at very best. the facade is lovely but inside was such a huge disappointment. It is not a 5 star hotel....I liken it to an old shabby old persons home.........it was cold, it smelled, there seemed to bwe only one person running it.....the lounge had a small fire....but was a huge, shabby space. our coffee cups were still there an hour later on the brpom, ken glass coffee table. we left after 2 hours as it was just so depressing.....tried to get at least a partial refund for the days booked but was refused
- David (10/5): Excelente hospedagem - Tudo maravilhoso Nada
- Cameron (9/5): Our 3rd stay here, excellent as always. - Our 3rd stay here, excellent as always.
The restaurant was excellent once again.
Staff very helpful and attentive.
Pool and spa facilities were good, first time I've used these during a stay.
- Felix (9/5): -
- Duncan (6/5): - The property is grand and the ambience is regal. The new pool complex and tennis courts are exceptional. Parking is very good. The rooms in the Chateau and the bathrooms are old and tired. The walk to our room was up and down flights of stairs and a bit of a pain. Or it required us to change elevators on different landings.
A priori rien !
- Daniel (10/5): - Le cadre

- seb61 (8/5): -
- Shae (10/5): Really beautiful chateau, very dog friendly - Very dog friendly, beautiful grand old chateau, good value, second time here and we will return! Few bits could do with some renovation such as shower but for the price seems fair

- Shae (9/5): Great stay with our pup - Very dog friendly thank you so much it’s really appreciated ❤️
- ANNA1993 (9/5): 满足幻想 - The view is absolutely breathtaking — it truly fulfills every fantasy one could have about staying in a castle. From the moment you arrive, you feel surrounded by history, elegance, and a sense of quiet grandeur. The atmosphere is magical, with stunning architecture and beautifully maintained grounds. The staff are exceptionally professional and attentive; their hospitality and sense of service are far superior to what I’ve experienced in many five-star hotels across Switzerland, Italy, or Germany. Every interaction felt genuine, and they made sure that every guest was treated with care and respect. The dining experience and common areas are also exquisite, perfectly blending historic charm with comfort. Not all staff members speak fluent English, which can occasionally make communication a bit challenging, though everyone is kind and willing to help. The room and bathroom facilities show some signs of age — everything works properly, but the fittings and decor could use an update to match the hotel’s otherwise outstanding quality. If your room happens to be on the top floor, you may notice a drop in temperature during the night, especially in cooler seasons, so it’s best to keep that in mind when booking.
Overall, this is an extraordinary place with unforgettable scenery and service — a dream destination for anyone who loves history and timeless beauty.
- James (9/5): Stunning chateaux - Fantastic chateau in the Loire Valley. Great facilities. Brand new tennis and padel courts. Brand new heated pool. Beautiful location. Amazing experience. One of the showers didn’t drain very well.
- veronica (10/5): Lugar maravilhoso, restaurante delicioso, café da manhã sensacional! - Lugar lindo! Perfeito! Cinematográfico! O chuveiro demora a esquentar e sai pouca água.
- buffy (9/5): - The place was beautiful and the staff was great! I wish that we could have had a massage but they were booked.
- Norman (10/5): Amazing. Stunning property. Everything I had hoped for and more. -
