• jeison (10/5): - Property is in excellent condition, the guys were super nice and helpful, Abdula was a very nice person, Ahmed the best driver ever, I wish them the best, super good persons. Ahmed the owner help me to arrange all the tours and transport very easy. Property is a little bit far, but it is fine for the price, also is a quiet zone. I had the bad luck that I stay at days of 47 and 48 degrees when normally is 30, so for convenience (and survival haha) I had to always get a car almost non optional, but it has nothing to do with the property just my bad luck.

• Rania (5/5): Décevant - La vue sur la bananeraie est jolie. L'appartement est globalement propre Les photos sur Booking sont nettement améliorées donnant l'impression d'un appartement beaucoup plus lumineux et moderne. La cuisine et la salle de bain sont vraiment à refaire. La villa est dans un lieu excentré, éloignée de la berge du Nil et surtout la route qui y mène est gravement dégradée et en plein travaux, impossible pratiquement d'atteindre la villa à pieds. Le plus décevant, c'est que l'hôte a eu un contact très froid voire désagréable dès lors qu'on a décliné l'idée d'organiser toutes les visites/activités/déplacements avec lui, sachant qu'il propose des prix exorbitants comparés à ceux dont on a bénéficié en cherchant par nous mêmes. Nous avons été mal à l'aise pendant tout le séjour.

• Patience (10/5): - What an absolutely brilliant first time expirience of Egypt and Luxor we got. Ahmed and his entire team supported us and worked tirelessly to ensure our trip was beyond amazing. They went above and beyond arranging exceptional private tours of various temples, excursions and traditional craft stores and they were all within budget friendly prices for a family of 5. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and we learnt a lot and absolutely loved our experiences. Ahmed went as far as helping us arrange a tour guide and transport for when we went to Cairo and She was phenomenal and a pleasure to spend time with. Nothing was too hard or too much for the entire team. The apartment was as shown on the pictures and even more. Apartment was clean and in a very calm and quiet location. Absolutely brilliant for anyone who wants to relax and disconnect from a busy lifestyle and just reconnect with themselves again. Ac was available and great to have as it was boiling hot on some days 😂. Ahmed was super helpful with our check in and check out times and was very responsive and responded to all our queries. Breakfast was spot on even with my fussy eaters they all took part and enjoyed the Egyptian food. We had a 16th birthday to celebrate a day after our arrival and the entire team worked tirelessly to arrange a very memorable experience for us and arranged for a cake and a very delicious boat dinner on the Nile and it was truly one of the most amazing experience we had. We tried various egyptian cuisines and they were all very delicious. The locals were all super welcoming and when we were out on tours the entire team ensured we never got hassled which was a great relief especially when we got to cairo 😂. We felt safe through out our stay at the Villa. We definitely recommend Villa De Rose to anyone coming to Luxor. We are already planning our next trip back. TV was a bit fiddly to work out and some batteries were missing.

L’hôtel est situé en plein milieu des champs de bananiers et céréaliers ce qui permet une vraie immersion authentique dans la culture égyptienne campagnarde bédouine. Le personnel est gentil et serviable, disponible à tout moment pour toute demande de leurs clients. L’hôtel offre aussi plein de services et prestations payantes (Guides, chauffeur privé, activités comme le felouque et montgolfière) il faut juste penser à bien demander et négocier les prix avant toute confirmation.

• Federica (7/5): Hotel tranquillo e pulito - La struttura è situata in un posto tranquillo, la camera è spaziosa e pulita. Abbiamo richiesto una guida per il tempio di Karnak e Luxor ed è stata bravissima. Il giorno seguente abbiamo richiesto una guida per visitare la Valle dei Re e delle Regine, ma purtroppo non parlava molto bene italiano. Lei è stata molto carina e disponibile, ma avremmo voluto capire un po' di più la storia del posto.

• XIAOXIA (6/5): 一般，在西岸，很偏僻，坐船去卢克索神庙据说很近，没试过。坐汽车要30分钟，不太推荐 - 老板人很好，但是！地理位置很偏，很难找到。早餐很苛刻，只有一个鸡蛋一杯酸奶一杯咖啡一些果酱之类的。
• Sara (9/5): Great stay in Luxor - Super clean and spacious, we were 3 people in an apartment that could house around 7 people comfortably! Everything was spotless. Breakfast was okay, more than enough in quantity. There was a bit of a mix up in the check-in but it was quickly sorted. The access is not the best, but we had a local driver, so no problem at all.

• Tomoe (10/5): Spacious and authentic apartments in a banana forest - It was a lovely and spacious apartment hotel set in a banana forest. The hotel felt very authentic, with stylish and traditional interiors. We loved the breakfast. There is nothing we didn’t like but the location is quite difficult to reach by ourselves since it is in the middle of the banana forest. I strongly recommend using the hotel’s free transfer service.
• Garry (10/5): Fabulous Luxor - The location was perfect, a short walk to the Nile, with lovely little restaurants and shops, internet was a plus, all the staff were very accommodating and welcoming, 20mins from the Valley Of The Kings and hetshapsuts temple, the ferry across to Luxor Temple was easy, we walked the avenue of sphinxes to Karnak from Luxor Temple and were the only people doing that, had an amazing time, the villa itself is very well maintained and a little oasis set amongst the banana plantation, very quiet and relaxing🙏 There was nothing to dislike, it was clean, quiet, comfortable and close to everything we needed😎

• Billie (10/5): Great stay at Villa Desert Rose Guest House during my 3nights in Luxor - I had a really great stay at Villa Desert Rose Guest House during my 3nights in Luxor. Arianna helped with my booking and airport pickup and was friendly, helpful, and quick to respond. My flight from Cairo was delayed for almost 3hours and I arrived past midnight, but Ahmed (who is managing the place) stayed in touch with me the whole time and even made sure food was ready for me. That thoughtfulness and level of care really meant a lot and made me feel very welcome. The apartment was spacious, clean, and smelled really nice. It had a calm, relaxing vibe and I loved having a living area to unwind in after long day of touring. The bed was very comfortable and I slept well every night. Breakfast was simple, traditional Egyptian style—fresh and filling, enough to keep me going until midday during my tours. The staff were amazing—kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. Big thanks to Ahmed and Abdullah for going above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. I checked out at noon but Ahmed kindly let me stay until the evening since my bus back to Cairo was later, at no extra charge and even arranged a drop-off at the bus station. Abdullah also let me spend time on the rooftop (located at the twin Villa) and brought me lunch, which was incredibly thoughtful. The Guest House is about 10min drive from the Nile River corniche (West Bank) but that’s actually a plus if you’re looking for a quiet and peaceful place away from the noise and crowds. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Luxor.

• Samantha (8/5): Buoni appartamenti distanti dal centro urbano - Struttura piccola con appartamenti molto spaziosi, luminosi e confortevoli. Buona e abbondante anche la colazione. La possibilità di farsi il bucato è decisamente apprezzata. C'è anche una piccola piscina, ma a dicembre le temperature non erano tali da provarla. Il servizio da parte dei ragazzi presenti in struttura è abbastanza disattento (ho segnalato che l'asciugacapelli non funzionava e chiesto di sostutuirlo ma alla partenza tre giorni dopo ancora non ne avevo ricevuto uno; servita la colazione ma si sono dimenticati di portarci il the...). La posizione è distante dal punto dei traghetti e il centro cittadino (1,5km), con un lungo tratto finale da fare in mezzo alla campagna per rientrare a piedi.
• Dacia (10/5): Peaceful and Quiet Comfort at Villa Desert Rose - We had a lovely stay at Villa Desert Rose. Ahmed and the staff were very helpful and ensured that everything—from our arrangements to transportation—was well coordinated and smoothly organized. The villa is new, clean, and beautifully maintained, and breakfast was delicious. While it is a bit farther from the main attractions, this added to a quiet and relaxing atmosphere away from the bustle of downtown. I highly recommend Villa Desert Rose when visiting Luxor.

• Lawrence Van Gurp (9/5): - I really enjoyed my stay at this Villa. We rented the two Room Villa. It was clean, spacious and comfortable, I LOVED how cold the Air conditioning was, but obviously you can set that to your preference. The Villa rest amongst green fields and local farmers. In the distance during the early morning hours you can watch the Hot air balloons take to the sky. The staff was very helpful and accommodating and went above and beyond to assist us with excursions and my endless need to Galavant. The Assistant Arianna made communication with the property very simple and assisted when any hiccups arose which thankfully only one did. It was a oversight on my part. The tours offered made for a very thorough and complete experience. They employed a top notch egyptologist to show us the sights but also delve into the deep history of Egypt. My brother and I's tours came with a private car, driver and a well educated Egyptologist that made the experience more intimate and carefree as opposed to those big tour bus groups. It was hands down on of the best experiences and trios of my life. Breakfast with good coffee was available every morning with a traditional Egyptian breakfast, they assisting with ordering and retrieving food from restaurants when we ordered. The Owner also met with us multiple times as well as other guest to ensure our needs were met. One thing I really appreciate was our flight out of Luxor required us to leave the Facility at 3am. He not only arranged a driver to be there but also had our breakfast delivered later that evening and put in the fridge so we could eat before rushing off to the airport. Exceptional Service. Overall the Staff and the trip memorable.

Le petit déjeuner: sommaire et composition locale, pas de jus de fruits, pas de beurre, pas de pain uniquement de la galette, pas de choix de fruits (que banane), pas de céréales ni de lait… La Couette à disposition dans l’armoire était très sale et le verre à dent également. Sinon assez propre.

• Andreea M. (10/5): Clean & Welcoming - We only stayed one night at Villa Desert Rose, just passing through, but it was a really nice stop. The cleanliness was absolutely perfect and the staff was kind and very helpful – they even helped us get dinner when we arrived in the evening. We didn’t swim in the pool, but it looked clean and well maintained. The location isn’t hard to reach, but it’s less accessible compared to hotels on the East Bank – you’ll need to take a felucca or drive over. Might be something to consider if you’re planning a longer stay. Still, for a short visit, everything was great. A couple of small things that could be improved: the bed was a bit firm, the pillows were quite big and hard, and we would’ve appreciated having an iron available.
• Charity (9/5): Desert Oasis - I arrived after almost a week in Cairo to an oasis: clean, spacious and beautiful rooms and an immaculate pool area right outside our door. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, we were in excellent hands for everything—transport, meals, tours—totally taken care of from start to finish. The main room (where the second bed was) was not air conditioned and it was crazy hot—41 degrees celsius (104 f)!!!—so we pretty much only used the bedroom. That was disappointing bc we were excited to have 2 beds and could only use one.

La villa est moderne, propre et située dans un endroit calme. La piscine est parfaite. Le petit déjeuner est excellent et copieux. Les excursions organisées pour nous étaient formidables. Par un temps très chaud nous aurions apprécié la climatisation dans la pièce de vie. Mais elle est bien présente dans la chambre et c’est le principal.
• Danny Lorenty (10/5): Great Stay in Luxor - The staff was absolutely amazing and cared for us as if we were their only guests though clearly we were not. They accomodated everything we needed (helped us with laundry, gave me a ride to the ATM, and picked up food for us from a restaurant we wanted). I would definitely stay here again and recommend this guest house. Excellent for families. They also arranged tours for me in Cairo, Luxor, and Marsa Alam. This is Egypt in general, but there are clearly Egypt prices and tourist prices. It didn't feel very good.
• Zuzana (8/5): Nice apartment on local side ob Luxor set in banana fields - First we were a bit skeptical about the location and I thought maybe it was not a great choice. In the end,if you are ready for a stay on the more local side of Luxor (and bit of walking in the dirt road :)), you will get good experience. Walk to the ‘port’ with a trip to East side by boat is highly recommended and on the way back to the West side,you can actually rather enjoy local restaurants. The apartment itself was very nice,spacious and well decorated. Breakfast was served at the pool,though they did not have enough tables for all the guests to eat at the same time. Arianna helped to arrange a lot of our tours (Abu simbel from aswan,Kom ombo and edfu and transport to el Quseir) and all those were perfect,highly recommend, their guides are always very knowledgeable. The guys at the site,younger one was very nice,but did not speak a lot of English. The other one was a bit bored and communication was not always easy,sometimes confusing, but we got what we needed. The cleaning was done only high level.
• Veronica (8/5): Overall it was a good stay! - The apartment is very spacious and nice. The mattresses are very comfy. The guys doing breakfast are really friendly and kind. The property is in the middle of banana fields surrounded by local homes. There is a nice restaurant in walking distance called Baladi Garden Restaurant. The shower is a bit tricky as it's all open and when someone showers the whole bathroom does too. The stairs leading up to the apartment should really have some sort of protection, it's very dangerous like that. The guy called Mohamed always smoking by the pool is sneaky and just wants your money. He's dishonest and we did not like him at all.

• Pasqualina (8/5): Very good - Ahmed was very warm and accommodating. We could check in early and also spent a very relaxed afternoon by the pool before we had to go to the airport. He also offered to help with ordering dinner if we wanted to dine in and not head out. The site is a bit further from the Nile than it looked on the map but it is only a 12-15walk to the main promenade with nice restaurants.

We were treated to a breakfast as we arrived (flight landed around 7am) despite check in not being til the pm. The place is near a banana farm - really peaceful. The pool was clean and lovely. The property is being renovated still - looks like an upper floor is about to be built and banisters will be put in soon (the owner said they will ensure the works are done when there are no guests to prevent disruption). Nothing. It was all great. We only stayed one night and wish we stayed longer!

• Dayton (10/5): Amazing - The people are what made this place special. Muhammad the driver is so funny and you will feel protected with him. The house keeper Yousef is beyond anything you ever get back home. Anything ya need at anytime, no questions ask. Ahmed is another man who helps out around the place and he went and got us anything we need from the village. Super nice as well. All the people will be habibi for life. Special place Hard to find for other taxis drivers.

• Gary (9/5): A pleasant stay in a quiet location amongst banana palms - A modern place with everything in as new condition. The freshly cooked breakfast was superb. Very hard mattress and pillows, which seems to be the norm in Egypt. The low, plastic furniture in the dining area was not suitable.

Close to the Nile. 10 out of 10! - Amazingly friendly owner and driver that we had the opportunity to go around with in Luxor. Warm hearted and very welcoming people who gave us an exellent stay at the Villa. I can strongly recommend this place, and also the fact that it's by walking distance from the Nile and a lovely breakfast in the morning. I will myself go back because I liked it so much and a safe place to stay that I can recommend to everyone else too.
• Eoin (10/5): Your perfect stay in Luxor West Bank. - Amazing stay in Luxor. One of the best accommodations I’ve stayed in anywhere in a long time. The villa is beautifully set off the main part of the West Bank - an easy 15 min walk through banana plantations and along the Bile to the public ferry and lots of good restaurants. The room was huge. Beautifully decorated and had everything you need to relax and unwind. Shower was great and bed comfortable and the whole accommodation very clean (didn’t try the pool as was there in January) The real stars are all the staff. Ahmed the owner is a great guy - always there to help, give tips, arrange tours and just have a chat about life. He really made my stay in Luxor great. I booked a balloon tour, transfer to bus station and a driver (Mohammed is the best) for a few hours. Fair price and just relaxed vibe. Big mention to Yousef and Mohammed who prepared a delicious breakfast each morning. They really went out of their way to make sure each guest was happy and had enough to eat. Just genuine, nice people offering a great place to stay in Luxor. Can’t wait to come back! That I couldn’t stay longer. Honestly nothing bad to say.
• Ricki (10/5): Amazing! Great location and staff. - At first we thought staying on the West Bank was a bad idea. That was until we went to the east side and it was so busy and we were hassled constantly. The east side was so much calmer and the location was great, you do get hassled but no where near as much. And the locals are so friendly. Short walk to the shops, restaurants (check out moon cafe) and the public ferry to cross the river. The apartment was lovely and the staff were so helpful, there’s nothing they wouldn’t do to help us. Went on a tour organised by the owner and it was amazing. Picked us up from the apartment and took us to the tombs and temples, it was a great day! There’s nothing we didn’t like.

• Fathima (10/5): Exceptional - I had a wonderful stay at this apartment! The pool was nice and big. The apartment is newly build, clean and spacious. You are surrounded by farm land and it a beautiful site during sunrise and sunset. If you like a quiet and peaceful place, this villa is for you. The owner and staff were very accommodating and helpful. The owner was so nice he let us check in early and allowed us have a late check out without any additional charge. They made sure to make us feel at home. I definitely would recommend this place so check it out! Can’t wait to be back in Luxor soon!

Excellent staff, superb amenities - sunny terrace with swimming pool where you can lounge as you rest from sightseeing ... it's in a quiet part of the village but just about 15 minutes of lovely walk in nature from the port where you can get a public ferry from and to East Bank Luxor (for which be prepared to pay anything from 20EGP to 100EGP as price depends on the guard and how naive you look!) The entire staff team is very friendly and makes you feel like family. Delicious breakfast and a variety of tours you can book. Search no more and book! Nothing ! It was my best booking.com stay (I want to say ever!)

Great service from hosts (above and beyond) and we had some really special experiences including dinner on our final night. Location is a bit away from the main centre but that was good for us and host organised quick and cheap Transport
• William (10/5): Amazing place to stay, short or long term - This place was truly amazing! Perfect for us in every way possible. So cosy, clean and comfortable with everything you could possibly need. Owner/Host was great! Very welcoming and helpful. Private terrace and pool was awesome! Being able to use in the evenings and relax and keep cool was bonus. Not like most hotels and places where no use after around 6pm. Really looking forward to returning in the future. If we visit Luxor, this will be our first option every time. Zero faults with this place. Can not think of any negative at all
