Guest Reviews
- Solic (7/5): - Plenty of space.
Old world charm.
Beautiful old home furnishings and history.
Beautiful location and scenery. Peaceful setting apart from the noisy neighbours yelling in the pool. The gardens were wonderful. Musty unpleasant smell that lingered for the entire stay. It was quite uncomfortable trying to sleep in the single room due to the smell. We opened all the doors and windows to air out the home but it didn’t help.
Many items were not clean, for example the ceiling fan and the heaters had visible dust. The single bed in the room with the queen bed had a dirty stained doona cover just covered up with the clean sheets.
The main bathroom sink had visible slime in the sinkhole.
- Kelly (4/5): Would be a beautiful place if it had a little bit of money spent on it to get it up to scratch if the hedge on the front - The location The smell of a dying rat in the kitchen and the ants everywhere along with the leaky roof
- Denise (8/5): Merimbula is a beautiful place and would recommend Munn's Towerhouse - Location was great and it was a beautiful old home with high ceilings and great water pressure. We loved sitting on the front porch overlooking the water. Loved all the sitting areas with the sun coming in. Thoughtful having fans in every room There were quite a few places that the cleaners forgot to dust. The description also said private pool whereas a better description would have been a shared pool. Both of these can be easily fixed and does not warrant not staying there.
- Colleen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Darren (8/5): Living in another lifetime and escaping reality for a change - Loved everything about the property, just needed the bathroom sink to be fixed as leaking a lot and the window frame in bathroom needs repairing before it breaks off. All the rest of the property has great character as is a very old house which we really love. Location is fantastic, and privacy is exceptional
- Brian (4/5): Good location, nice pool, cool old house, but in need of repairs and work. - Good location Bathroom floor is like an ice ring when wet and is likely not allowed. Cracks under doors, rotten timbers and generally poor workmanship means that lizards, spiders, mice, rats, etc can walk in and out as they please.
- Debbie (10/5): Beautiful property would stay there again - What a lovely property lots of history, beautiful gardens ,the rooms were spacious and beds comfortable and the kitchen had everything we needed to cook with ,close to restaurants and shops it was lovely relaxing on the verandah overlooking the sea .we really enjoyed our time there. The walk back up the hill after tea very steep but we all laughed about it later
- Elwyn (6/5): Very mixed feelings about the house but loved Merimbula - Beautiful old place but in need of a bit of tlc. Lovely gardens and easy allocated parking for both cars. The gardens were overlooked by holiday apartments and we didn’t realise that they shared the pool as well. Our biggest disappointment was no tumble dryer as with 3 young children and only 1 bath towel per person for the week this was a real problem. Stark bathrooms which felt like being in an institution.
