Guest Reviews
- Dawn (8/5): Overall very comfortable. - Needed to get to Monash Hospital and this was only about 15 minutes away. Walking distance to a pizza shop for tea and a Foodary over the road. The lady on reception was very helpful. Could park the car out the front of the unit.
Bed was comfy and offered low and high pillows, most unusual as we usually have to take our own (we like low). The room was also lovely and warm. There is a restaurant but it wasn't open because the motel had just changed hands - check before you book, though the pizza shop was good.
The bathroom had a huge spa bath which meant the toilet was squashed behind the door - difficult if you needed it at night. Also difficult as an older person to get in and out of the spa bath for a shower. Personally just prefer a shower.
Only 2 black tea bags, the rest were coffee or herbal. Guess I could have requested more but we just shared one for supper and breakfast. Had to leave just after 6am.
Also, a new trend I've noticed, no biscuits for supper. Just come back from Queensland and only one hotel offered biscuits.
- Jan (9/5): Excellent! - Motel was close to Monash medical where I needed to go
- Anthony (9/5): -
- Matthew Siva (8/5): - Excellent location. Comfortable rooms. improve on plumbing system. Mainly shower taps.
- Ronil (8/5): -
- JO (1/5): Don't stay here! - Nothing. It wasnt suitable at all for my elderly mother to get upstairs and she also couldn't shower as its a high spa bath to step.over to get i to it. Customer Service was devastating. The rooms are extremely unsuitable for elderly people. They took my money, we quickly realised my mum couldn't stay there and they refused to help in any way. Had to stay somewhere else and refused a refund. Absolutely worst experience I've ever had with accommodation.

- Leanne (8/5): Excellent value for a Metro Hotel - The location was ideal for Victoria Heart Hospital. Quiet room with no traffic noise. 2 complimentary bottles of water were a very nice touch. Thanks. The room is a little dated (some fraying on the couch, older furniture) but the room is great value for A metro Hotel and the price is on point for the facilities.

- Melissa (10/5): - Everything Nothing i didn't like
- Olivia (6/5): Comfortable and convenient - Room was spacious, beds were clean and comfortable. It was very convenient for where we needed to be. Didn't use it, but the pool area looked good. Tiles in the bathroom looked like they needed an extra scrub and generally a little extra love for the room e.g. wiping marks off doors, dusting

Friendly concierge Lights in bathroom need fixing
- James (9/5): Excellent, friendly and helpful staff - I was visiting Monash University, the accommodation is a nice easy 10-15 minute walk from the campus. The breakfast was excellent and the chef/cook very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable and the room was nice. The front desk staff were super helpful, I had to check out early to make my flight and they organised that for me and also booked me a taxi to the airport. Next time I visit Monash I will stay here again.
- Robert (10/5): Really good - Comfy and very clean N/a
- Scott (7/5): - Location Needs to be updated very old

- Dominic (8/5): I only stayed for one night, but I would be happy to stay there again - Very comfortable and spacious room it has everything that I needed and the location was perfect for what I wanted Nothing comes to mind
- Tiffany (6/5): Mixed feelings - It was easy to find and the staff were welcoming. The room was comfortable. I asked for a room that was suitable for a person with a disability and does not do stairs and steps as I walk with a walking stick. I hadn't heard that my request was confirmed on the morning of my stay, so I rang to check and was advised it was all fine. I checked and said "So no steps or stairs?" and the reply was "That's right". When I arrived in the afternoon and booked in I found there were 2 steps from the car Park up to the veranda and there wasn't a hand rail. I had to hang onto the down pipe from the roof. This also meant I couldn't use my trolly to wheel my belongings inside, therefore I had to swing my luggage up onto the veranda and then climb up to take them into my room. I then went to the bathroom and found the shower was over a spa bath, which was too high and dangerous for me to get in. I couldn't face moving everything so I didn't contact the staff to be moved, if they could. Also the Smoke detector had fallen from the ceiling and was in a drawer. I did talk to the man in reception when I left, suggesting that some of the staff might need some training in understanding what disability is and perhaps some sensitive questions to ask in order they can provide what is appropriate.
- Brett (8/5): Thanks - Perfect location for my needs
Clean, good value for money.
- Vivian (10/5): Spacious room, comfortable bed, amazing bathroom - The room is spacious. The bathroom was amazing with a big spa bath. The bed was comfortable. Michael, the chef, cooked me my scramble egg every morning for breakfast. I enjoyed my stay very much. Thank you. Nothing
- Gunness (7/5): Pleasant, Nicolas was very helpful - Expensive for the variety available. Cleanliness
- Fiona (8/5): The room was lovely, clean, quiet - I would’ve liked a toaster and microwave in the room
- Mark (6/5): Cheap accommodation, met expectations, friendly staff. - Staff were friendly. Cheap location to stay. Rooms not cleaned well. Stains on walls. No sheets on bedding.
- Judith (8/5): -
- Mel (6/5): We have stayed here previously and had no issues until this stay. - Location was perfect Our smoke alarm was beeping when we arrived. We had to take the battery out. Next day it was replaced and started beeping at 4am. We had to take it apart again.
The toilet was constantly running water.
- David (10/5): -
- Sayed Mustafa (10/5): -
- Nicolazzo (7/5): -
- Saple (8/5): Comfortable - could have been better - Breakfast was simple and good - a bit low on variety but meets the intent Room lighting inadequate - couple of bulbs were fused
- Kyla (6/5): - Location Arranged late check out with staff member so baby could nap before late flights.
Staff banging on the door for check out before arranged time.
- Louis (10/5): - Excellent spot near Monash Clayton.
- Anjani (7/5): - Near to all amenities I got the downstairs room, and if someone walking upstairs, i can hear in my room. Its hard to sleep with baby.
- MIKE (7/5): -
- Chelsea (9/5): -
- Aimee (6/5): It was nice enough for a night maybe 2 if needed but wouldn’t stay for any length of time. - Easy parking and easy to find room.
Mostly quiet
Later checkout than most places I’ve stayed
Had enough space and cupboards and ironing board etc The pool area is shockingly under maintained and the pool and spa themselves had not been cleaned in a while…
Room not properly cleaned….
Water bottles and glasses inside the bedside tables and the spa bath in our room had hairs all over it!
- Peter (8/5): -
- KIRILL (5/5): -
- Brad (9/5): Comfortable and quiet stay - The rooms are older, but large and well equipped, clean and tidy. Huge tv, bar fridge and cutlery, large bathroom, aircon, actual dining table and chairs all positives. Super dark and quiet rooms generally. Possibly had the best hotel sleeps I've had in a non luxury type of place. Free wifi. No microwave. The access key failed once so had to get it reprogrammed, I was extremely lucky it was while staff were there, or I would have been stranded. The couch in my room looked as old as the building itself. The restaurant as far as I could tell wasn't open any longer apart from breakfast and not a whole lot of food nearby. Gets costly quickly if you aren't driving to travel around
- Daryl (10/5): -
- Kieren (6/5): -
- Jan (8/5): Very good,I will be coming back to Monash for two more visits so will stay there again. - Location was excellent for me to go to Monash Base Facility. Easy to get to from the city.
- David (7/5): -
- Shelley (1/5): Not happy! - Filthy dirty…. Pictures didn’t come up to scratch in real life situation.
- David (8/5): Older property but very well kept. A very nice place to stay. - Although the property is older, the room was well equipped and good state of repair with everything working well and without fault. Nothing comes to mind.

- Fetuli (5/5): -
- Tracey (10/5): - Easy check in
They had us booked in upstairs i asked if we could have a room downstairs as mobility problems they didn't hesitate and put us downstairs
- Fetuli (5/5): -
- Beka (1/5): Taking money they shouldn’t and are very misunderstanding and Rude - Nothing really. The bathroom was very dirty, room was dirty as well, none of the furniture had been moved to clean underneath and it was super noisy with a lot of weird smells and creepy people.
The bathroom light was broken and the smoke alarm pulled out already when I had arrived , I got locked out of my room when I had left for a couple hours during the day and came back at night to go to enter my room and couldn’t get in! Was told when I called up the next day to have called the 24hour number on the door when I checked the night before for a 24 hour number when there wasn’t one !
I paid 300$ for this place, to be locked out on the second night and to get none of this money back is honestly very cruel and mean as it was my last bit of money to live on! Not even to give my safety deposit back, I just have no words, I’m utterly disgusted with how I was treated here and I would recommend that you don’t come here. Unless you wanna get ripped off and lied too, oh and stay in filth.
- Andrew (2/5): Place has great potential if managed better - Venue easy to access, nice rooms Room had smoke alarm removed
Bristo not operating as advertised
Limited crockery, 1mug(cracked), 1small cup, 1wine glass, 2teaspoons, no plates or small saucers
Requested more crockery & glass. Request declined as crockery belongs to Bistro which is not operating
Noisy hotel patrons on site till midnight
- Simone (8/5): -
- Kerrie (9/5): -
- Perrin (8/5): No id no deposit - Staff Stairs
- james (7/5): - Close to hospital Advertised as having a restaurant, this was not available.
- Anita (7/5): Gateway to Monash - The staff were helpful and kind, especially after finding out I was there for a family funeral I had forgotten my toothbrush/toothpaste and shower cap, but they didn't have any emergency overnight supplies.
- Greg (7/5): -
- Fetuli (3/5): -
- Wilton (6/5): Good location at a good rate - Great location with easy access to the freeway and South Eastern suburbs. Comfortable bed in a well sized room. Pleasant staff at check-in and checkout. The cleanliness of the bathroom left a lot to be desired.
- ken (6/5): It was alright for a short stay - The price of the room and the spa It was outdated interior needs to be updated
- Quyen (7/5): -
- Veronica (10/5): Excellent motel - Loved everything so clean Nothing at all will come back again
- David (5/5): - Friendly and pleasant staff Mould on the ceilings and shower pressure was poor for room No 25. Furniture was broken in places, and decor was reminiscent of late 1990s early 2000s
- Peter (4/5): - Location excellent.
Value for money reasonably priced.
General facilities ok TV had circles ghosting the display.
Bathroom light fixtures would not always turn on and off in sequence properly.
Cleaning around the edge of carpets not done, substantial dust build up.
Bed blanket only just big enough.
Staff where not very engaged, poor direction to room and carparking. Also minimal effort in welcome, or checking out.
- Chris (7/5): -
- Mark. (9/5): Superb - Good price, quiet stay with a spa in every room
- Katie (6/5): Pleasant -
- Annie (8/5): Very good - The cleaner lady checked on us, she was very nice and kind
- Daryl (6/5): Pleasant -
- Paul (9/5): Clean, well priced and great location for what I needed - Location
Car parking on site
Friendly staff
Clean bed and room Bathroom exhaust fan/system operated all night and quiet noisy even when the bathroom door was closed
- Chan (7/5): Good - Close proximity to Monash U
- Sharon (8/5): Very good - Convient
- Adrian (1/5): Dirty - There was nothing available to what was advertised, no restaurants no bar, no drinks in fridge no info and ants in spa so nothing was good at this place No restaurant or any food available as advertised on facebook and on booking.com about their facilities. Plus, it had ants in spa making that experience bad. Strange behaviour in carpark all food had to be menulog .
- Alex (7/5): Good bath, would book again for that alone. - Spa bath, the water pressure is very good so it fills up fast! The TV was nice and the wifi was easy, I liked that the password for it is on the room key. Couch looked 20 years old and worse for wear, and there was no microwave (?) but I should’ve checked for that.
- Brydon (9/5): Superb -
- Shannon (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elvina (7/5): Good -
- Colin (8/5): Very good -
- Leanne (4/5): Overall it was satisfactory to my needs - The chef was friendly and helpful, the food was satisfactory but a but more selection would have been good, like a coffee machine to make cappuccino. Room was a little dusty in corners, there was bothing but a few milks in the fridge, no information in room for food, room smelt a little stale.
- Penny (6/5): Not as pleasant as we have had there before. - The car park the shops close by. Bed was very hard, the noise upstairs. The fridge was completely frozen and not level.
Kettle leaks.
