Buchanan (2/5): Obviously there were better cabins on sight. Guess we were unlucky. - Location was good. Cabin 2 was very old, not well presented. Unfortunately ants and spiders were a problem. Fittings generally in poor condition. Front door falling apart.

Peter (4/5): Poor presentation - Location The cabin we were given on arrival was simply unpresentable. There were crumbs on the table, shopping tags on the couch, dirt on the sink and no spare toilet paper rolls. When the girl came to give the cabin another clean, she dropped cleaning fluid on the floor, which wasn't wiped up properly. On cleaning the rest myself, I noticed the floor was very dirty and hadn't been moped since god knows when. I also noticed hair on the floor. After complaining again we were given a cabin upgrade, much to their credit. However, while the next cabin was better, it was still of a poor standard. We swept up quite a bit of dirt on the floor and noticed quite a few cobwebs scattered around. Would not recommend.

Lee-Anne (7/5): - I did request a shower big enough for a shower chair but were given a very small bathroom and as I have a walking frame i found it hard to even get into the bed as frame couldnt fit in by the side of it. Next time i will look into the disabled cabin more . I think that will be more suitable. As we have never stayed there before, we didnt know what to expect on size of bathroom and bedroom. But we made it work. Thank you.

Alpuerto (9/5): Very good stay! - The location is superb just very close to the beach! The staff (Peter) was very kind! 😁 Nothing major really - aircondition broke down on one of the cabins we booked and could not be fixed during our stay but luckily we had cool weather at night so it didn’t really become an inconvenience. But hope that gets fixed for next guests! 🙂

Jeanne (6/5): Friendly village - It was conveniently close to the pub for dinner and the next morning for the market I was part of. Elliston is a lovely fishing village and the locals made me feel very welcome. The food at the pub was good too. Cabin was quite dated.

Dorianne (1/5): Never Again - There was nothing to like. Room had an horrible smell. The sheets in the main bedroom haven't been changed and were dirty, the pillow cases had a bad smell. The blanket was filthy. The whole cabin was filthy.

Jamie-Lee (5/5): - The location. In town near the beach. Walking distance to everything. We have stayed there many times but it seems to have really declined with its cleanliness and care. The linen and towels are ancient, old and frayed. As soon as my kids walked in the cabin their feet were black. There were spider webs and dead flies everywhere throughout the cabin. The jumpy pillow was a snake haven, very unkept. The place needs a bit of love and some money spent on it. There were some utensils that had not been cleaned from previous stayers. The bbq across from our cabin ran out of gas and while we cleaned it, it was never checked by any staff. I hate to leave this review as we love Elliston and have always had a pleasant stay at Waterloo but unfortunately this time was not good and very unhygienic.

No acknowledgment or eye contact when checking in. Gave her my name and her response was “for what?!” Rather than for who? Every windowsill was dirty. Mould growing on the curtains. Dead blowfly’s around windows. Vents completely filled with dust and range hood above stove was dirty.

Avril (8/5): Great coastal location. - The park location was good. Our cabin was a short walk to a quiet beach. Elliston let us down. The Hotel was closed for the weekend, yet their website & voice mail said they were open & the supermarket & bakery was closed on a Sunday. Thankfully the roadhouse was open & we had taken food supplies just in case.
