Guest Reviews
- Carol (9/5): Enjoyed our stay at and would recommend to others - The house was beautiful inside with just about everything we needed. Spotlessly clean with modern amenities. Would have liked access to wifi and could do with a coffee table in front of lounge.
- Lauren (10/5): -
- Sara (10/5): -
- Julie (8/5): The inside of the property was newly renovated and beautiful. Beds were comfy and shower hot. - There was no breakfast provided. The location was good - easy walk to town, but down and up a steep hill. The outside of the property is very run down and the driveway needs attention.
- Katie (9/5): Beautifully furnished home in a great location. Have stayed before and we love it! - Great location and beautifully furnished.
- Richelle (10/5): -
- Lynne (8/5): A very lovely place to stay in a fabulous location. - The inside of this two bedroom house is very, very nice….especially the bathroom. It’s been renovated well. From the outside it is hard to believe it’s as lovely as it is inside. We were delighted.
- Justine (9/5): Great location and value for money - Great location. Easy to walk into town. A beautifully fitted out house.
- Sheryl (10/5): - Very cute, cozy, clean and comfortable older style cottage. It had a nice atmosphere and felt very homey!
Just a little drive or a nice walk to the town centre, but enough distance away to avoid all the noise and traffic.
There is a little light traffic near the cottage during the day, but extremely quiet at night and very easy to sleep.
Everything you might need is provided in the kitchen cupboards, laundry etc.
We would definitely stay there again! 😊⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

- Danielle (10/5): Cottage on Dangar was an absolute delight and highly recommended! - It’s a very unassuming property from the outside and beautifully renovated inside.
It was so cozy and comfortable. The beds were lovely. The bath was a nice touch. We were a little disappointed that we couldn’t use the wood fireplace but that’s probably best to confirm its use beforehand. It wasn’t necessary anyway as the heating was adequate. The only thing I could say we didn’t love about our stay, was that one of the bedrooms heats up much more than the rest of the house. So you can’t turn the heating up without turning that bedroom into a sauna. A minor annoyance.
- Ben (10/5): A great stay for work! - It was very clean and tidy.
- Georgina (8/5): Great spot, close to town and had everything we needed - Nice place for a small family. Dishwasher was great! And heating was lovely in the cold. Dryer was greatly appreciated given the weather! Not very well sealed though so felt bad about running the heating all the time. Had to put a blanket along the floor at the back door because could see outside!
Could have done with a bit more cutlery for when the dishwasher was full.
- Katrina (10/5): - The cottage has been beautifully renovated and has everything you need for a stay in beautiful Armidale. Walking distance to the main street. The gardens are a beautiful place to enjoy a cheese board and glass of wine amongst the trees and bird life. Hannah was an exceptional host and should be so proud of this fabulous little jewel on Anaiwan Country.

- Susan (10/5): A magical snowy weekend in Armidale topped off by beautiful, comfy, warm accommodation. - The renovated space was very well thought through and beautiful. The bath was especially lovely as was the rain head shower. We appreciated the owner had turned the air conditioning earlier as it was snowing outside when we arrived. A coffee table in the lounge room would be nice to rest a glass of wine and a plate of cheese on.
- Heather (8/5): Tastefully decorated and very comfortable. -
- Janelle (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely cottage which has been tastefully renovated on the inside. We arrived late afternoon and the owner had put on lights and the ducted heating which was lovely. A real home away from home will definitely stay here again.
- Lucy (9/5): Superb -
- Ned (8/5): Overall, the plusses far outweighed the negatives. - Spacious and well-equipped. The front screen door swings back powerfully, making entry and exit difficult when you're carrying anything. A catch to keep it open would be helpful.
My sister and her husband had a few problems with the heating in the back bedroom - seemed a lot warmer than the rest of the house. Also the room door catch didn't quite fit meaning the door did not stay shut.
- Maree (9/5): Superb -
- Katie (9/5): Fantastic stay in cute cottage and close to the city - Great location, beautifully renovated inside
- Mark (9/5): Superb - Great No clothes dryer
- Prabhu (9/5): We enjoyed the stay with family - Nice and clean property

- Kate (10/5): Wonderful property - very clean and well presented, comfy beds, air con was great with the heat. Fantastic place for a t - The place was clean and well presented, plenty of towels - which is thoughtful when you have young kids, air con was brilliant, place was central in a great location. I am having a hard time thinking of something
- Mel (10/5): Exceptional - Cleanliness, position to town
- Christina (10/5): Very convenient to everything we needed in town. Cute and charming. Well appointed. Great for family of 3 on a cricket t - Spacious and comfortable - great for our cricket trip. Lovely bathroom. Beautifully renovated. Loved it all!
- Gaye (5/5): Quite comfortable but overpriced for the quality - Bathroom
Cleanliness
Bed Outside presentation
No bedside lights
Renovation appears incomplete
No light shade in second bedroom
Wider driveway entrance would help
- Mark (9/5): Great location, comfy beds, beautifully renovated inside and exceptionally clean -
- Theresa (9/5): Superb -
- Greg (10/5): It was a really lovely place to stay in Armidale. We felt very at home and enjoyed our stay. - This was such a charming cottage, it seems a little humble when you arrive but as soon as you open the door you feel so at home in this thoughtfully renovated and decorated spacious accomodation. The sun room and delightfully comfy bedrooms madd us feel v very at home. it had great kitchen facilities and oh that bath! :) It was so conveniently located in walking distance to the town centre, shops and restaurants. It was a little tricky backing out of the driveway. Use caution as the curb it higher that expected.
- Claudia (10/5): Cottage on Dangar felt just like home and we would stay here again. - The bathroom, kitchen and bedrooms were lovely and immaculate. The heated flooring in the bathroom and ducted heating/cooling system was great. Communication with the host was excellent and timely.
- Katie (10/5): Great place to stay in Armidale! - It was such a cute property - so nicely designed and really close to town.
- Angus (10/5): Very comfortable, clean, well finished (internally), and warm place to stay in Armidale. - The outside is very deceiving, as the interior is very well finished and thought out. Good quiet location, would recommend. Needs a bedside lamp in each bedroom… apart from that - nothing to fault.
- Jessica (9/5): Superb - Never judge a book by its cover! The inside of this cottage has been beautifully renovated and it felt every bit a home away from home. Very close to the main centre (easy downhill walk). Hosts very responsive. Would definitely stay again!
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg (10/5): The hidden gem - The home was like an oasis. I didn't really know what to expect but was so surprised at what a little hidden gem the Cottage on Dangar was. It was so cozy and well appointed. The ducted air conditioning was absolutely superb and the beds were so comfy! Up there with the best accommodation we've stayed in.
- Anne (9/5): Comfy Cottage on Dangar - We had the privilege of being the first AirBnB guests at this bright and freshly refurbished, clean and comfortable cottage. There was ample room for 4 adults to stay comfortably. The beds were very comfortable, the kitchen was well equipped and the central heating was appreciated. Lauren and Anthony were attentive to our needs and we thoroughly recommend their cottage to other travellers. Both back and front yards need some landscaping to make them more accessible and attractive.
