Guest Reviews
- Robert (9/5): Kaye has created a charming secluded and comfortable place to stay in an amazing dome. - Secluded, spacious, unusual. Great to have a record player. Very comfortable. Private path to the shore. Kaye was an engaging and friendly host. All good for us but some would find the path from car parking space difficult with luggage, although Kaye did offer help.

- Jane (10/5): Amazing stay with quick access to lots of local beaches etc. was a great home base to start our vacation in NS. We will - We loved that we had the entire property to ourselves so could feel fully relaxed. There is really nothing we disliked.
- Jane (10/5): Kaye is an amazing woman and host. This was a bucket list stay for us and we were not disappointed! 100% would recommend - The host thought of everything! Nothing
- Orane (9/5): Perfect getaway - Excellent peaceful location, with beautiful interior touches in a quiet wooded area. Quick walk to the water, and nice water view from the windows. Host was warm and welcoming and provided quick response to questions. Amenities provided were as described and in great condition. We might have been more comfortable with access to a shower (+ the bath provided) as well as a microwave for ease of heating meals.
- Luke (9/5): Superb -
- Kyra (8/5): Very good -
- Christy (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kathleen (10/5): Amazing! You must go! - Everything. It has calm healing vibe and is charming, cozy and comfortable!
Had the wood-stove going all night and woke up to a stunning sunrise directly in front of us. Then a lovely soak in tub with lovely bath
salts/products.
Lovely hostess provided fresh fruit and eggs, from her chickens on site, for breakfast.
It was therapeutic and just what we needed.
Highly recommend! Nothing!
- Stephane (10/5): Exceptional -
- Richard (10/5): The best place we stayed in our 2 weeks in Nova Scotia. Highly recommended - The accommodation was peaceful and immersed in nature being situated within a forest overlooking a lake. Nothing
- Lori (9/5): It was a beautiful experience being so close to nature. - The property was quaint, private and quiet. The path way to the Dome was windy and unexpected leading to the excitement of arriving at the Dome. I wish we could have seen the water a bit more. That is no reflection on the property just a personal desire.
- Alexandra (10/5): Exceptional - The Forrest Shore Dome was the most magical getaway into nature. The dome was cozy and beautifully designed, with large windows offering stunning views of the forest, water, and a starry sky at night. Inside, it was super clean and comfy with all the thoughtful amenities one would need.
The host was above and beyond, ensuring we had everything we needed. This stay was an amazing, calming experience for us and a perfect retreat into nature. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend! ❤️
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jennifer (9/5): Superb -
- Sherene (7/5): Beautiful spot with some unexpected challenges - Beautiful location, pristine attention to detail inside the dome (record player, soaps, bath salts, lighting, bedding, fresh farm eggs), the bed was very comfortable and the bathtub with the ocean view was amazing. The photos reflected the property perfectly. Our hostess couldn’t have been more friendly, attentive, or accommodating. I want to preface this with saying that everything in the write up is accurate…there are just a couple of things that I assumed from it that didn’t end up being as I thought and I think it’s important for people to know before going.
I wasn’t expecting a hike in, we thought there was a propane bbq, and the dome was uncomfortably hot during the day, to the point we couldn’t stay in there( it heated up by 9:30).
The hike in was only about a minute-2 minute walk, but we had a cooler of food with us, excited about bbq-ing some meals and we knew the fridge was small, so it took us a few trips to take everything in. If you have any mobility issues, you wouldn’t be able to get to the dome (the path to the dome is the forest floor, with roots and rocks on the descent). The bbq set up is not propane-you have to build a fire and then there’s a grill on top. The bugs were quite bad, so we didn’t want to be out tending the fire to get it to coals so we could cook, so we ended up getting takeout for most meals. There is a hot plate inside with all the cooking utensils, but we didn’t want to heat up the space with cooking. There is a floor air conditioner in the dome, but, being the end of summer, it just couldn’t keep up with the heat of the sun coming in, so we essentially couldn’t be comfortable inside between 10-5 or 6, which was disappointing because it’s such a sweet space we would have liked to spend more time relaxing, napping, reading and enjoying the accommodations more.
There’s not a lot to do in the area (which we knew before we went), so we had planned for most of our getaway to be relaxing at the dome, making yummy meals, and enjoying our beautiful accommodations, so, having to be out of the dome during the daytime hours was a shift in plans for sure.
- Lavinia (10/5): Just amazing - Absolutely everything. The dome is located in a lovely little forest, just a minutes walk from the beach. The dome is equipped with a little kitchenette, the owner even provides some fruit, coffee and fresh eggs from her farm. The bed is extremely comfortable, the views are amazing: during the day the ocean and at night the stars. The interior is so cozy and has been set up with so much love for detail: there are books, a vinyl player, games. The owner is so nice and helpful nothing
- Steve (10/5): Serene location in the forest, beautifully decorated interior and the host was fantastic! - Serene location in the forest, beautifully decorated interior and the host was was fantastic! Everything was perfect, no complaints.
