• Holly (9/5): - Cute property. Very close to Berat castle. Clean and comfortable. Owners were very friendly! Difficult road to get into property but they helped us drive in and navigate it which was awesome! We were in a c200 Mercedes a larger car would be even more difficult to navigate.

Pas de doubles rideaux ni volets donc reveil matinal.. accessibilité en voiture et parking difficiles : acces tres étroit.

• TP (1/5): Our worst experience so far staying in Balkans after 21 days in many many accommodations. - Tucked away at the end of winding alley up in the hills near (200m) from the castle. The price is cheaper than other places. The caretakers do not speak any English. Though the coordinator can communicate in English in wAp. The elderly caretaker couple were unfriendly and does not take in any complaints. The host cancelled our booking when we brought up some key points about the residence. Perhaps, they want to avoid my feedback. But yet I m able to write here. location is uphill from town centre. a 30min walk. Not suitable if u carry big luggage. There are 3 room. 2 with attached bath room. A 3rd one with private bathroom outside the bedroom. It seems like their spare room with lots of personal stuff. The room was dusty. The floor was dirty. When we tried to communicate with the wAp coordinator, she cancelled our booking on booking.com which We noticed immediate change on our credit card for not turned up for checkin thought we had checked in. The next day, we were required to pay the EURO 20. Despite the booking.com charges as indicated by booking.com system. We continued to communicate via wAp as the booking.com chat is not functioning after the cancellation by host. We paid the charges to the 2 very unhappy older couple.

• Dainius (10/5): - Very very friendly and nice hosts! Helped with car parking as well. The whole night we were thinking will we manage to get out of the property with the car, as the entry as steep :D

• Izabela (8/5): - Rodzinny biznes, pomocni właściciele, pokój czysty a śniadania bardzo dobre. Dojazd do posesji jest bardzo trudny, droga jest zniszczona a podjazd bardzo stromy. Parking jest bardzo mały i wynaga częstego przeparkowywania aut w celu ustalenia kolejności wyjazdów.

On est comme chez les grands-parents. Une confiance et l’amour du travail bien exécuté.
• Jordyn (9/5): Beautiful stay, very nice hosts, fresh fruit and good food. - The property is beautiful, with terraced gardens above the balconies and a nice view of Berat. The castle is a close (5-10 min) walk away. The family that hosts you is lovely: they helped us park, met us with fruit & water on our arrival, and were very sweet. They do not speak fluent English, but communication was easy with a translation app. The included breakfast was delicious. Loved the fresh grapes, and parking within a gated driveway. It was a little difficult to find: Apple Maps incorrectly took us on the wrong back road, Google maps got us there. The driveway and road leading to it are very steep and narrow, and rocky (not really paved).
• Marine (10/5): - Le couple qui nous a accueilli est adorable. Ils nous ont offert du raisin de chez eux avec un grand verre d'eau fraîche. Les petit déjeuner était très bon et nourrissant. L'accès à la maison se fait par une toute petite route en très mauvais état malheureusement. Mais il ne faut pas s'arrêter à cela. Ça fait de bon souvenirs.
• Ludovic (8/5): - Hébergement au calme et à proximité du château. Malgré la barrière de la langue, les hôtes font tout leur possible pour rendre le séjour agreable. L'accès au logement si vous êtes en voiture est assez compliqué, mais le propriétaire est là pour vous aider.

Ne au ajutat cu toate informatiile de care am avut nevoie inclusiv cu o tura cu masina pana in vechiul oras. Ne au servit cu micul dejun gratuit . Niste oameni extraordinar de calzi . Vila este aproape de obiectivele turistice . Recomand cu incredere!! Nu a fost ceva care sa nu ne placa

• Guest (7/5): Ich habe mich von Anfang an wohl gefühlt bei der Familie und würde wiederkommen. - Die Hilfsbereitschaft der Familie fand ich schön; das war Frühstück war lecker, dazu eine tolle Sicht; die Gastgeber wirkten routiniert.

• Florentine (9/5): Unterkunft mit Charme - Die Unterkunft ist in einem gemeinsamen Haus mit der 3-Generationen-Familie. Man hat eine kleine Küche und eine schöne Terrasse auf einer eigenen Etage. Wir wurden mit Feigen und Süßigkeiten empfangen. Die Familie ist sehr gastfreundlich und hilfsbereit - allerdings läuft die Kommunikation ausschließlich über den Google Übersetzer (kein Problem, aber vielleicht etwas umständlich). Zu berücksichtigen ist die Anfahrt. Die letzten Meter zur Unterkunft sind sehr steil - teilweise mit Schotter und Schlaglöchern. Die leicht zu übersehende Einfahrt zum Haus ist super steil. Uns wurde netterweise von der Familie geholfen, unser Auto die Einfahrt hochzufahren. Man kann das Auto nicht vor der Einfahrt an der kleinen Straße parken.
• Edgar (10/5): Absolutamente recomendable - La amabilidad de los dueños, que nos regalaron fruta de su propio huerto. La posibilidad de aparcar en la puerta, dentro del recinto, así como de usar la cocina y nevera. Un poco lejos caminando del centro.
• Victoria (9/5): Familiär und Gastfreundlich! - Die Unterkunft war sehr familiär und hilfsbereit. Das Ausparken mit dem Auto war ein wenig schwer, aber uns wurde extra geholfen. Wir hatten einen super Aufenthalt hier!

• Jana (10/5): - Hezké ubytování, moc příjemní hostitelé (velká rodina), možnost parkování v uzavřeném dvoře, Wi-Fi, uvítací občerstvení. Přesto, že jsme je překvapili pozdní objednávkou a rychlým příjezdem, vše bylo připravené a čisté. Strávili jsme tam jen jednu noc, ale přesto jsme se tam cítili jako doma. I přes jazykovou bariéru jsme si pomocí překladače hezky popovídali. Pomohli nám i se zádrhelem ohledně našeho špatného příjezdu - bohužel jsme přijeli ze špatné strany domu, pan majitel nám ochotně pomohl situaci vyřešit. Výborná domácí snídaně po domluvě na námi určený čas. K dispozici malá kuchyňka s lednicí. Při příjezdu postupujte podle pokynů hostitele - jediný správný příjezd k domu je ze spodní - přední strany domu. Nás navigace navedla špatně z horní strany - po kamenité cestě - tudy ne! :-)

• Jorge (10/5): My favorite stay in Albania. The nicest family and a lovely home! - This was my favorite stay in Albania. The family that runs the guest house is adorable! They don't speak English but will use Google translate to treat you with true Albanian hospitality. The view in the evening of the sunset from the balcony or rooftop is beautiful. The breakfast was always delicious. The price was crazy low. And it's only a 10 minute walk to the top of Berat Castle. PS. fill up your water bottles from their spigot downstairs: it's fresh mountain spring water!

• Urška (10/5): Exceptional - Our stay here was lovely, it is very close to the castle. The road to get there by car is a little tricky, but the host is so nice and helped us park our car! They greeted us with fresh watermelon and the breakfast was delicious.
• Péter (10/5): The place gave us the perfect getaway in beautiful Berat - The room is perfect and very clean, with good AC and modern furniture. The hosts are amazing and friendly and gave us fabulous breakfast as well as fresh fruit upon arrival. It is a bit of a hike to get there from the city centre, and it is not the best route during the night.

They helped us to take the car out of the parking lot. They were really nice people and there was a pretty vue ! The house is also 5min away from the castle.

Google maps can lead you down the wrong road, but the host is very easy to contact and will guide you without any trouble. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, served by a truly lovely family who made us feel right at home. The location is excellent,next to the castle. I highly recommend staying here! 🥰

B - The guest house is run by an Albanian family with 3 generations which lives at the property. Very authenic! It’s a bit difficult to drive the last couple of meters to the house but the owner helped us!
• Sławomir (9/5): Cosy friendly place to enjoy the local scenery and atmosphere of historic Berat - This family-run place is in a very picturesque and quiet location, the hosts a very friendly and helpful, the room comfortable, and the amenities quite sufficient. This is topped by a tasty breakfast served by the hosts. The entrance to Berat Castle is just a 10-minute walk away. Driving up to the house is quite tricky as you have to navigate a difficult turn up into a narrow gravelly road. The hosts don't speak much English so communication relies on sign language and translating apps.

• Emma (9/5): Sleeping under the Castle - The welcome we received was phenomenal. Every day, we had a fantastic breakfast, and we were welcomed in the late afternoon with fresh fruit and cool drinks. Our hosts did everything to make us feel at home. The location is ideal for exploring Berat.

• Suheyla (10/5): Lovely authentic Albanian suburban family house with very kind helpful host - It was close to Castle on hill and authentic Albanian family house with lovely green garden big bedrooms and living room . Maggie is a lovely host tried her best to help us . Property good but if you planning to walk to town will take 15 min walk down to hill and walk back up to hill. May not be suitable for people with mobility issues but you can always take a taxi. Saying that close to castle easy to walk touristic castle area.
