- Alexander (10/5): Great view, great value, lovely hosts, would recommend to anyone. - The view is spectacular, the hosts are delightful, even with everything under construction they still had a washing machine we could use to freshen up our clothes. The bathroom did smell a little bit and the bathroom floor can get a little wet after a shower.
- hugo (10/5): - An incredible place to stay after visiting both monasteries, and the chilled vibe town of Alaverdi.
The room and the view were amazing. Everything was spotless and one of the best decorated cabins I have stayed in. The place is really special and the owners are so kind and friendly ☺️
The breakfast was delicious, and that honey 😋
A gem! Thank you!

- Pelle Paulus (10/5): Lorri at its best! - This place is out of this world!! The location is 10/10, overlooking Alaverdi - you can imagine the morning view from your bed and balcony. Vigen and his wife are the kindest hosts and so passionate and inspiring! The little houses and their beds were very comfortable and well-equipped. Good breakfast with some of the finest honey one can find. We would have loved to stay longer and experience a workshop!! We wish only the very best to Vigen in this worthwhile project and his ongoing endeavors — can’t wait to be back!!
- Emanuele (10/5): - Stunning location with an amazing view. The owners are incredibly sweet. Their project is amazing and we love to support such an entrepreneurial couple. The room was spacious and clean. We had a lovely breakfast with their homemade honey (delicious) and local produce. We ended our stay with a honey making class with the owners. Definitely recommend for an extraordinary experience.

- Mark (10/5): - It was definitely a unique stay; the chalets were nice and cozy. Warm bedding and a space heater to combat the cold. The water pressure in the shower was fantastic.
- Amir (8/5): -

- sarah (10/5): Loved our stay here - Peaceful location with beautiful views across the valley and our hosts were so kind and friendly. Room was cosy and very clean. Nothing
UPD:
- Jacob (9/5): - Our stay at Armbee was great. The cabins have spectacular views from the hill over the town and gorge. It is well located for local sites. Vigen was a welcoming host, and kindly gave us a tutorial one morning about bees!
- Maurits (10/5): Cozy stay on a cozy farm - We were received by a lovely older couple, the parents of the owner, who showed us the house and the grounds. We immediately sampled the fruits that were ready for harvest and it was delicious.
The houses are small but comfortable, offering amazing views of Alaverdi and the surrounding mountains. Breakfast with honey and jam from the farm, eggs, sausages and cheese offer a great start to the day. The ever present smells in local bathrooms, this does not spoil the stay!
- Jonathan (10/5): -

- Francesca (8/5): - Il progetto è molto bello, interessante e originale.
- Alexander (10/5): - Fantastic stay. Really amazing cabins, great view. The host is lovely and will give you a honey making / bee master class. Really recommend this stay! Absolutely no need to fear the bees buzzing around, peacefully. The public road up the mountain is paved but poor condition.
- Oliver (8/5): Ich würde sehr gerne wieder kommen.
- Thomas (9/5): A memorable stay among bees in the beautiful region of Alaverdi - Our family had a memorable stay at Armbee. We were in one of the wood cabins overlooking Alaverdi, the view is truly spectacular. And it is definitely special to be surrounded by bees and beehives. We were very warmly welcomed by Vigen and his family, and we really enjoyed the beekeeping tour / workshop, we learned so many things! The cabin was a little bit too small for our family of 4, our daughter slept on the sofa, which was not the most comfortable. But they survived and they loved their stay!
- Daniele (10/5): Posto bellissimo - Il posto è bellissimo e molto tranquillo. Buona colazione abbondante. Super consigliato!
- Anne-Claire Hoyaux (9/5): Beautiful place and amazing hosts - We were very touched by the family's warm welcome. Vigen and his parents were extremely kind with us and attentive to our comfort and needs. We very much enjoyed the masterclass on beekeeping and learning about Vigen's entrepreneurial adventure. On top of that, the chalet was beautiful and comfortable, with a great view. I would just recommend adding more curtains to keep the light out in the morning.
If you don't have a car, you will need to take taxis to and from the guesthouse, eg. to get to restaurants. The road to the guesthouse is very steep.
- Alina (10/5): -
- Anna MARIA (10/5): -
- Abdulrahman (10/5): - Our host was exceptional, and the view was truly one of the best I've seen in Armenia.
He was extremely helpful, always going the extra mile to assist and ensure our comfort.
The family was warm and welcoming, making us feel right at home.
The cabins were spotless, beautifully designed, and very comfortable. Breakfast was outstanding, offering a generous variety of delicious items. The honey tour was both enjoyable and informative.
I sincerely thank our host and wish him continued success. The rooms do not have air conditioning, but this was hardly an issue during our stay in August, which is known as the hottest time of the year. The weather was wonderful, and the host’s excellent way of keeping the rooms well-ventilated made the experience very comfortable.
- Shady (9/5): Great stay and extremely friendly staff. Nice lesson about bees life cycle. - Location and friendly staff Only the weather was very hot and facility doesn’t have AC
- Bianca (7/5): Interesting experience in nature - The Host and his family were very welcoming and friendly. You can park on the private ground, which is great so you don’t have to park the car on the narrow streets. The host is also a beekeeper, so you can try his honey for breakfast- or see how he does it. The breakfast was good. We could use the kitchen, which was great because there are no restaurants or supermarket in walking distance. We slept in the superior chalet. (Keep in mind that this isn’t, the big room with the couch. It’s more like a two bed cabin- so very small.) We slept there in summer anf unfortunately the cabin didn’t cool down at night, even when we left the window open. We just had a mosquito net on the window and not one at door. So we decided to keep the door closed, because mosquitos came in. So sleeping in summer can be very hard in there.
- Maksim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andy (9/5): Modern amenities in tranquil mountain overlooking town, run by awesome beekeepers! - The larger rooms have new, modern amenities and a lovely balcony with views of town and mountains. The family that runs this place is very friendly. They are beekeeping masters and produce some of the tastiest apricots and honey we've ever had! The beekeeping master class that is included in the stay was informative and fun. The regular, smaller rooms can get quite stuffy during the day and early night. A fan would be helpful. The mosquitos can also be quite ferocious, so come prepared. The morning masterclass was also a little short. Perhaps they offer more in-depth and involved activities for those interested?
- Kathryn (10/5): Beautiful outlook - Friendly owners, comfortable beds and beautiful view.
- Kate (10/5): Fabulous - Wonderful family running this lovely farm. Set on the hill with amazing views of the town and hills.
Wake up surrounded by bees, flowers and fruit trees is a great start to any day!
Great breakfast of local produce and, of course, honey!
- Lina (8/5): Very good - Loved the view from the room, it was wonderful and serene. Make sure to also wake up early one morning to watch the sunrise as it's perfectly and beautifully visible from the room.
The room was very clean, there's toiletries offered, place is spacious and there's a mini bar filled with wine and other snacks if you need it.
The breakfast was homemade and of course the honey is right from the farm, it's unlike anything you'll ever have tried before. They also made us raspberry jam for breakfast which was fantastic.
The host Sona was super helpful with recommendations and in ordering transportation. And in helping us get a bus to Tbilisi at the end of our stay.
The place however is pretty far from the city so this is perfect for a getaway spot if you want to take some time to be alone and have quality chill time.
One of the wonderful things we did was the Sanahin to Haghpat trail. It's a 4hr hike from one monastery to the other. (You can download hike Armenia app) Which is a great guide to walk you through it. A double edged sword in the fact that the place is so far from town is that you can't get anywhere except by a taxi (which are costly, a 5 minute drive is 1000 amd, and each extra 5 minutes of distance adds about 500 amd).
Which would be fine if you didn't need to leave the property much, but given that it is a bed and breakfast, you have to leave the property to eat lunch/dinner each day. Which makes a two night stay pretty costly since the place is also pretty spendy to stay at.
It would've been nice if the place offered a dinner meal for extra, to at least give the option to not have to leave to get a meal.
Would recommend the place if you have a car with you as everything is pretty far away and on top of really high hills even when it just looks like 20 minutes by car. The maps were very misleading when planning our stay due to all non walkable distances and no public transportation, taxis have to be ordered each time.
- Krisztina (10/5): Exceptional - Home stay in a beautiful, peaceful area surrounded by green mountains. The houses are comfortable with beautiful view. Breakfast is simple, quality home made food.
- Lorna (9/5): Superb -
- Meruzhan (9/5): Superb -
- Stephen (10/5): Helpful staff, stunning views, good breakfast and comfortable accommodations. - The staff / owner was exceptionally helpful, the view from the hotel was stunning, good breakfast, and comfortable accommodations. We stayed for 2 nights and had a wonderful time.
- Yulia (8/5): Very good -
- Melanie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lukas (10/5): Perfect host and perfect stay - Location simply perfect
It’s really a pity that I came late and I could not ask the owner for more information about honey, wax and bees. There is nothing negative to say. The only minor issue I would mention is that it would be helpful to have a bit of lighting at night for going down the stairs.
- Pablo (10/5): excellent place. best decision! - It's a magical place. Totally worth it. one of the best views I've seen and great people!
- Izabela (10/5): Amazing stay with bees! - Good location, amazing view from the balcony, quiet place, clean and well equipped (fridge, kettle, hairdryer) little house, extremely nice hosting family, bees and honey wine, tasty breakfast:) Long waiting (5min) for warm water, unless you like cold showers. In the morning we did not get a warm water at all but likely it was exceptional.
- Chi (10/5): Hotel is Easy found. Nice boss and good breakfast. Honey very tasty. - Great view and very beautiful room. No tv haha.
- Sophie (9/5): Superb - Amazing view. Lovely hosts. The chalet was simple but very comfortable and modern.
- Edouard (9/5): Best city views! Amazing location and staff - Absolutely amazing views from the heights of Alaverdi. Bed and mattress felt a bit cramped for 2 persons.
- Gianmaria (9/5): Superb - The position dominates the valley and therefore you can enjoy an incredible view. The owners are very friendly. The honey they produce is very good. We also tasted a preview of a new production, the honey wine, with a very particular taste (we bought a bottle). The bungalows are close to the beehives but we had no problems with the bees
- Karin (9/5): Breathtaking view!! Bees are lovely! - Breathtaking view from the room and the balcony!!! Very friendly and attentive hosts. Consistent eco concept with solar energy/water heating. The bees are adorable - peaceful and calming little fellows. Some things that would have been nice: drinking water bottles, shower gel, bedside light. Other ideas for improvement: shower not flooding the bathroom, better bed linens (felt like plastic), possibility to buy at least some snacks and/or some recommendations where to get food nearby (as the site is really a bit off).
- Simen (10/5): Exceptional - The family that runs the place is very friendly and hospitable. They were very helpful with arranging taxis and transportation, among other things. We had a tour and explanation of the bees and honey. Ruben (the grandfather) showed us around the area and let us taste a variety of fruits they grew themselves. We stayed in the new chalets, which were very nice, well-maintained, and clean. There was a fan, curtains, a refrigerator. The chalet also had a terrace and a very beautiful view.
- Markus (10/5): Exceptional -
- Giulia (10/5): A unique experience! - A fantastic experience! The location in surrounded by nature and you can stay in a real bees farm. Some houses has beetherapy. The hosts are wonderful and polite. We had some car problems and they help us managing the situation. The honey Is terrific! We had a litte masterclass about bees and It was really interesting! The hosts replied to all out questions. The view from our room was priceless.
- Kathryn (10/5): Happy bees! - Beautiful setting, friendly hosts, amazing plants/flowers all around, and the bees were very active and clearly thriving! The breakfast was splendid and Vigen taught us so much about bees. A bit tricky to come and go without a car. We walked down to the town for dinner and it was a long but pleasant walk.
- Jessica (10/5): Exceptional -
- Heinz (10/5): Exceptional - I really enjoyed my time there. I will always remember the family with Ruben, Gohat, Sona and Vygen. The location is spectacular.
- Maree (9/5): Armenian hospitality at it's bee-st! - We had a wonderful 2 night stay at the bee farm. Sona, Vigan and Vigan's family are very welcoming and it was an amazing start to our Armenian journey. We arrived at an unfortunate time after devastating floods, which meant that our journey from Yerevan (by car) was a lot longer than expected, meaning we arrived very late at night. Sona was very caring and helpful providing us route recommendations. We participated in the bee masterclass with Vigan which was so interesting and un-beelievable!
Breakfast was simple, but delicious. Vigan's father even picked us mulberries from the tree! We stayed in the chalet with the en-suite and it was so nicely designed and spacious, with a lot of natural light and an AMAZING view. Vigan and Sona are very intelligent and have some amazing plans for their business, which we really appreciated to learn about. The api-therapy cabins are also very interesting. The temperature when we were there was around 30C during the day, meaning that the chalet can become quite hot, as there is no AC (you can open the door and it has a screen). There are no curtains either, which isn't so much of an issue, but could be for some that like to sleep in complete darkness.
- N. (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jason (10/5): delightful, comfortable, ecotourism - Fantastic, friendly hosts in a beautiful setting. We arrived at a very unfortunate time, just after devastating flooding in the region, and the hosts nonetheless welcomed us and made our stay comfortable, and even reached out to us in the evening when we hadn't yet returned from dinner to make sure we were ok. The breakfast was simple but delicious. We stayed in the smaller cabin with mattresses over the bee hives, which was a delightful treat. The larger cabins with in-suite bathrooms were beautifully designed.
- Sunshine (10/5): Amazing place. Wish we stayed longer! - It was a family-owned business and they treated us like an honorable guest. The location is perfect for recharging and relaxing. The bees around were very calming and the view from the rooms was amazing. a tip: to get a meal there notify in advance.
- Ivan (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing view, amazing room, great breakfast and great hosts. So good! Nothing, it was amazing.
- Robert (10/5): Comfortable Chalet with unique view and amazing hosts - The Chalet is way above Alaverdi on a steep hill. The view is amazing and the big balcony just awesome. The owner couple are extremely hospitable and do their best to make your stay as pleasant as possible. I think there is no better way to stay in Alaverdi than this unique location. Just make sure you have a car or can afford the taxi ride to and from the center (ca. 500 dram), since walking the hill up can be really annoying ;)
- Kevin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Emily (10/5): Absolutely beautiful people and story of how they started Arm Bee. Couldn’t recommend enough! Thank you so much for your - The location, the view, the rooms, everything was perfect! That we didn’t book longer!
