- Judith (10/5): - Ideal location a short tram ride away from Old Nice, meaning it was quiet but still convenient and close to a choice of bakeries and restaurants as well as a shopping centre. The room was clean and extremely comfortable and the rooftop pool and bar perfect for a relaxing break.

The staff gives great dining recommendations and it’s walkable to most needs. The pool, bar and restaurant are lovely. *They should add some missing details to make it feel more upscale: a gym, robes, washcloths, conditioner and coffee/tea.

- Jamie (4/5): Room Dirty and Glass in Hallway - Disappointed. Checked in to our room to find rubbish from the previous guests on the floor. There was also broken glass in the hallway outside the room that my girlfriend narrowly avoided. I informed reception about this who apologies, but nothing was done! The glass was still there for another 36 hours, and the rubbish in our room was never picked up. There was also no shampoo or conditioner in the shower, just a bar of soap that was designed to act as everything.. I asked reception if they had any actual actual shampoo and conditioner and they said no but advised there was a supermarket down the road! The pool area was cool. All in all very disappointed with the stay given we spent nearly £600 for 2 nights...

- Cathy (6/5): - Hi I check in and my room was extremely hot and was told that is the law and temperature can't be adjusted. When I asked to see a different room it was cooler. I asked for someone to bring me a key since I was gathering my items in my original room I was told I need to come downstairs until I believe the manager heard my conversation. It was poorly handle and in other hotels they would offered to take care of moving my room. Just don't think u handle it correct.

We are travelling with our elderly father and everyone made his stay so pleasant, including giving us an upgrade so he could have his own room. It was a generous gesture and a huge win for us all. Thank you one million times.

- Tony (6/5): - Globalement satisfaits de notre séjour, nous avons néanmoins constaté une baisse de qualité dans les prestations. Absence de mini-bar en chambre, nécessité de réclamer des produits de base comme du savon, papier toilette de qualité très moyenne… Petit déjeuner décevant pour un tarif élevé, sans aucun geste commercial même pour un simple café. L’ensemble donne une impression de prestations en retrait, et l’esprit Mama Shelter, qui faisait le charme de l’enseigne, semble se perdre.

- Mark (10/5): - A quiet, clean, comfortable hotel that is close to a train station. There is a Carre Four express across the street. All of the staff were polite, helpful and willing to listen to my attempts as speaking French. A bit quirky with masks of Looney Tune characters on the lamps in the rooms. Only 4* for the are because the restaurant selections within a 10’ walk were not plentiful. I would definitely stay here again

Par contre, ils ne sont pas au point sur l'accueil et leur proposition commerciale pour le petit déjeuner... J'ai demandé un petit déjeuné formule Express à 9euros (et quelques) et ils m'ont prévelés 21 euros le lendemain matin. Je n'ai à ce jour toujours pas de remboursement. Mon collègue quant à lui, a eu un problème de numéro de chambre pour le petit déj. Un vrai sketch ... En bref, manque d'organisation sur les petits déj.

- Leonore (10/5): Nydelig hotell med hyggelige ansatte. - Nydelig hotell, de ansatte i resepsjonen er meget imøtekommende og hyggelige. Rommet var klart før innsjekk så vi fikk rommet når vi kom. Stort og fint rom. Lå sentralt. Vi spiste middag på hotellet en dag, maten og drinkene var gode. Veldig hyggelig ansatte. Vi var litt uheldige den ene dagen på frokosten da det var tomt for både eggerøre og kjøttpålegg selvom det var 30min igjen før frokosten stengte. Vi etterspurte egg og pålegg fikk beskjed om at det ville komme. Ventet i 20 min, fikk da beskjed at det var tomt. Men etter litt om og men fikk vi servert en omelett. Da var frokosten ferdig så vi fikk litt dårlig tid på å spise. Frokosten var ellers god og variert. Ettersom vi ble seint ute til utsjekk fikk vi sjekke ut litt senere. Noe vi var takknemlige for. Ville absolutt anbefalt hotellet.

- Rebecca L (8/5): - Love Mama Shelter, have stayed at several. The staff were lovely, room great but the pool area was often left messy and is small so needs to be kept on top of, unfortunately the pool was also out of order on one day of out stay. Location was great.

- William (10/5): - We loved how reliable Mama Shelter was for our trip. Kataryna is fantastic! with great knowledge of fun things to do for night life & Simon with great outdoor recommendations! This is a brand new property so everything was clean and new which was very nice. Location has a very local vibe near to highway so good of your driving to Monaco or Canne. You can walk to the port in 10 minutes which was great. We would for sure stay in Mama Shelter again!

- Jonny (6/5): Needs work - Stayed for a long weekend. The beds are very comfy and the hotel is very clean. However there were lacking basic facilities, such as a kettle, glasses or cups in rooms, there was no minibar or room service so if you wanted a drink in the evening you had to go into the loud hotel bar / club. The bathroom only provided bars of soap to wash with so we had to purchase our own products. Considering the high price you pay to stay in the hotel, you’d expect a better level of service and quality. As well as this, when we checked in the other customers who checked in immediately after us were given the same room number so entered our room unannounced not knowing where they were meant to go.

The hotel itself was very fun and nice in design. It’s different in a very good way! The breakfast could vary a bit, but it’s fine if you don’t stay here too long.
