• Maria (10/5): Lovely hotel in a great location - Fabulous view of Golden Horn, the Suleymaniye Mosque on other side of the water, and the bridge that the M2 metro goes over. (This was from a Sea View room.) Loved also the airy open glass-walled entrance lobby: simple but very effective and comfortable. Terrifically friendly team, very courteous & hospitable. Delicious breakfast (excellent citrus, hummus, hot items, and lots of different things to try). Hotel has 21 rooms, making it a perfect size. Great location. Especially liked that it's situated in a real neighborhood (of mostly small stores selling lamps and electrical goods), rather than a noisy, touristy zone, yet still very close to sites & restaurants. Easy 5-7 minute walk from Sishane metro station, which is on the M2. Small safe, does not fit a laptop, though would fit an iPad. Loved my room, which suited perfectly, but in a few spots (baseboards, paint) it could probably do with a little TLC, nothing major. For anyone traveling with a lot of luggage (I wasn't), this particular room would be a tight fit.
• Inga (4/5): Smelly room, garbage at dining hall! Seems like fake reviews - We liked to get a bottle of water straigt at the moment when we arrived. Also getting our bags to room. Room smelled of cigarettes. Terrible! When said about that next morning got answer that it can't be because reception guy has checked each room twice 🙃 Absolutely culture shock was all that mess with dirty staff (cleanser, cups, garbage) on the table near glasses and everything at breakfast. And it kept being there. Two workers at the hall, and for lady it was more important to look at mirror, for a hall guy - to scroll his phone. Also our dirty plates no one hurried to take away. Didn't like a view out of window. Metro bridge, water side, but garbage and messy look. Yes, hotel ir very central but surroundin is quite messy - poor buildings, lot of garbage on the street. Absolutely don't understand why hotel has so good reviews. Reception guy after my complain about smelly room still asked for good review. Not fair!

• Rana (9/5): - The hotel is located near the Galata Tower. The view from the room is amazing almost the same view you get from the top of the tower itself. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the amazing team: Bilal, Hassan and Mahmoud. They took great care of us and truly made us feel at home. The hotel is super clean, the room is spacious and the bed is very comfortable. The team was always available to answer our inquiries and support us with helpful tips and recommendations. - The closest tram station is around a 15-minute walk from the hotel. - 2 cats live in the lobby, which may be a concern for some guests. - Breakfast choices are somewhat limited.

The location is great, and the staff and the family are incredibly friendly and always ready to help with advice and support. The rooms offer a wonderful view over the Golden Horn. The breakfast is also excellent. The (secret) stars, however, are the two cats, Princess and Mr. Osman (who also happens to be the house’s head of security 😉). He welcomes you and even escorts you to your room, sometimes staying for a little nap. Occasionally, he’ll wake you up during his morning rounds, loudly asking to be let in—only to curl up after a quick inspection and get some sleep. A wonderful place - we would happily return anytime

• krecotel (10/5): - Η τοποθεσία του ξενοδοχείου ήταν πολύ καλή σε απόσταση λιγότερο από 400 μέτρα από τον Πύργο του Γαλατά πολύ κοντά στην περιοχή Karakoy Το πρωινό πολύ ικανοποιητικό , η καθαριότητα όλων των χώρων και η αμεσότητα του προσωπικού σε οτιδήποτε χρειάστηκε ήταν υποδειγματική. Ο Υπεύθυνος του καταλύματος κος Mohammad ήταν πάντα πρόθυμος και διαθέσιμος να σε εξυπηρετήσει όπως και το σύνολο του προσωπικού. Όλα ήταν πολύ καλά

• Yohann (10/5): Super séjour à Doruk Palas - Séjour de 4 nuits très agréable à Doruk Palas. Idéalement situé proche de la tour de Galata et du métro. 10min à pied de Karakoy et du pont de Galata. Chambre propre, calme et climatisée mais plutôt petite. Vue incroyable sur la Corne d’Or et la mosquée Süleymaniye ! Le staff était d’une très grande gentillesse et à notre disposition pour toute demande! Merci à Mohammed et à son équipe. Le petit déjeuner, sous forme de buffet, était très complet avec plein de délicieuses choses à déguster. Nous avons hâte de revenir à Istanbul ! Je recommande vivement ce lieu !
• Randall (10/5): Great staff, facilities, location and breakfast. - Fabulous staff at the front Desk especially Bilal and Muhammad. They felt like friends to us. The facilities are very nice and comfortable. Breakfast A+. They arranged our Airport transfer and answered all my messages concerning logistics. Walking distance to great shops and restaurants. Easy walk to the tram to go to the Blue Mosque and Grand Bazaar, and of course, anywhere else.

• martina (10/5): Un Hotel che vi farà rimanere Istanbul nel cuore! Fantastico!! - Consiglierei questo hotel a chi vuole passare un soggiorno indimenticabile a Istanbul. Staff molto gentile e disponibile ci ha dato indicazioni fondamentali per passare al meglio il nostro soggiorno. Camera pulita e completa di tutto il necessario: acqua, minibar, ciabatte ed una vista MOZZAFIATO!!!! Biancheria e asciugamani cambiati giornalmente. Colazione completa sia nella versione dolce che salata. La posizione è molto strategica, nella zona moderna di Istanbul comoda ai mezzi: bus, metro, tram ma anche se volete in poco tempo si raggiungere facilmente a piedi la parte più storica Abbiamo usufruito del transfer per l'aereoporto sia all'andata che al ritorno. Tutto perfetto!! Non potevamo aspettarci di meglio.. niente da segnalare

Het grootste pluspunt is het aardige personeel en de katten Princess en mr. Osman. Het voelde elke dag als thuiskomen. Het ontbijt was tevens erg goed. Dank voor het fantastische verblijf! Niets.
• Katja (9/5): Kleines Hotel mit toller Lage - Sehr gute Lage, viele Sehenswürdigkeiten sind fussläufig erreichbar. Der Galata-Turm ist z. B. nur 5 Minuten entfernt. Es gibt unzählige Restaurants in der Nähe und auch die Metro ist nur ein paar Minuten entfernt. Wir hatten ein Zimmer ganz oben mit einem spektakulären Blick vom Balkon. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr nett und hilfsbereit. Das türkische Frühstück war auch wirklich gut. Ein sehr gutes Hotel für einen Städtetrip.

L’ambiente è molto accogliente, reso ancora più piacevole dalla gentilezza e disponibilità dello staff, sempre pronto ad aiutare con il sorriso. La camera rispecchiava perfettamente le foto: pulita, curata nei dettagli e confortevole, il che ha reso il soggiorno ancora più rilassante. Anche la colazione è stata all’altezza delle aspettative, con una buona varietà sia di dolce che di salato, perfettamente equilibrata per iniziare la giornata. Un dettaglio che ho apprezzato particolarmente è stata l’attenzione verso i gatti che vivono nei dintorni dell’hotel: è davvero bello vedere come vengano curati e rispettati, aggiungendo un tocco ancora più autentico e umano al soggiorno. Consiglio sicuramente questo hotel a chi cerca un’esperienza piacevole e senza sorprese nel cuore di Galata a Istanbul.

The room had all the amenities we needed and exceeded our expectations. The area was safe and quiet, highly recommended! I also loved the buffet breakfast, with both sweet and savory traditional Turkish options. No negative feedback.
• Olivia (10/5): Un séjour inoubliable au cœur d’une ville au patrimoine historique et culturel exceptionnel. - L’hôtel bénéficie d’un emplacement idéal, à proximité de la Tour de Galata et très bien desservi par les transports (métro, tramway et ferry). Notre chambre offrait une vue imprenable sur de nombreux monuments de la ville, ce qui a rendu notre séjour encore plus agréable. Le personnel a été exceptionnel du début à la fin : attentionné, chaleureux et toujours disponible. Nous avons beaucoup échangé et ri avec eux, au point de nous sentir comme à la maison. Une mention spéciale à Bilal et Mohammed, ainsi qu’au véritable maître des lieux, Mister Ozman 🐈 L’équipe est également de très bon conseil, toujours prête à partager de bonnes adresses et à nous faire découvrir davantage Istanbul et sa culture. Le petit déjeuner sous forme de buffet était délicieux, varié et renouvelé chaque jour. Nous avons eu un véritable coup de cœur pour la ville et sa richesse historique. La visite de Sainte-Sophie nous a particulièrement marqués. Nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. À noter également : aucun souci rencontré lors de notre séjour en avril 2026. Tout était parfait
• Aphrodite Anna (10/5): The perfect, value for money, boutique hotel in Istanbul - We stayed at the Doruk Palace Hotel for 5 days during our first trip to Istanbul, and we couldn’t have been happier with our choice. The hotel is clean, modern, and beautifully decorated. The location is perfect, close to Galata Tower and the metro, yet still very quiet. We were given a complimentary upgrade to a rooftop suite, and the view was breathtaking, we didn’t want to leave our balcony! They provided us with free bottled water every day, and the room was spotless each time. What truly makes this hotel special, though, is the staff (cats included!). Bilal and the rest of the team were some of the kindest and most accommodating people we’ve ever met at a hotel. We had a little chat every time we headed out, and he gave us the best tips for our trip. One thing is certain: the next time we visit Istanbul, we won’t need to look for another hotel, we’ve already found the one. Thank you for everything, and we hope to see you again soon!

• Fernando (10/5): Buena opción para quedarse en Estambul - Hotel confortable, limpio y todo relativamente nuevo y bien mantenido. Cama muy cómoda y cuarto no muy grande, pero con todas las comodidades. Baño con ducha y amenities. Mohammed, fue la persona que nos atendió de forma muy amable… quizás de las que más en la cantidad de hoteles que he estado a lo largo de mi vida por mi trabajo, ya que suelo pasar unas 6-8 noches al mes fuera de casa. Su amabilidad, simpatía, empatía y ganas de agradar y hacernos este viaje increíble, han sido impresionante. Entre otras cosas, nos prestó una tarjeta de transporte para poder recargarla y nos dio un par de consejos para ir a comer y cosas que visitar. Este hotel, según nos contaba, es un negocio familiar e intentan cuidar los detalles. El resto de empleados que nos atendió a la llegada y en el desayuno, también muy serviciales, amables y siempre con una sonrisa. El desayuno es correcto, sin grandes pretensiones, pero suficiente para empezar el día. Hay pan del día para hacer tostadas, algún tipo de ensaladas turcas, bizcocho y la posibilidad de encargar huevos al gusto. Quizás eché de menos algún zumo natural. La localización es bastante buena, ya que está a 5’ caminando de la estación de metro de Sishane. Las vistas eran muy buenas desde nuestro piso (4º), aunque justo en los alrededores del hotel no es tan bonito y puede resultar algo inhóspito. Saliendo del hotel a la derecha, enseguida se sale a una calle principal y desde ahí es fácil llegar a la estación de metro y también a los puentes que cruzan al otro lado. Nos ofrecieron transporte tanto desde como para el aeropuerto. Tienen dos gatos encantadores en recepción y, para el que no lo sepa, Estambul es la ciudad de los gatos. Ninguno es agresivo y mantienen la ciudad libre de ratones. Todo perfecto. Quizás, el secador de pelo algo escaso de potencia.

The location is truly superb—nestled right by the Galata Tower and surrounded by vibrant streets, charming cafes, and easy transport links. For those who enjoy a stroll, the major landmarks like the Hagia Sophia and Sultanahmet are just a scenic 30-minute walk away. The cleanliness was impeccable; the staff was so efficient they often refreshed our room before we had even finished breakfast! A special thanks to Mr. Osman and the entire team for their exceptional politeness and warmth. This hotel is a gem for anyone planning a trip to Istanbul. Not a single point to mention.

Номера очень чистые, светлые и уютные. Каждый день качественная уборка, свежие полотенца и приятный аромат в комнате — мелочь, а как поднимает настроение! Кровати невероятно комфортные, спалось просто отлично. Особенно хочется отметить доброжелательный и внимательный персонал. Все сотрудники улыбчивые, отзывчивые и всегда готовы помочь. Создаётся ощущение настоящего домашнего тепла. Расположение отеля , просто идеальное! Все главные достопримечательности находятся в пешей доступности, не нужно никуда ехать. Утром выходишь из отеля и уже в самом центре красивой жизни города. Вкусные завтраки разнообразные, всегда свежие продукты. Каждый день начинался с удовольствия. • Yana (10/5): - Отличный отель, остались только приятные впечатления. Удобное расположение — прямо в центре, всё рядом, что очень важно в поездке. Вид из окна был красивый, создавал особую атмосферу. Отдельно хочется отметить администратора — очень приятный, внимательный и доброжелательный. Завтрак был действительно вкусный, всё свежее и с хорошим выбором — начинать день было особенно приятно. Также важно, что персонал всегда на связи: быстро отвечают, помогают с любыми вопросами, чувствуется забота о гостях. В целом мы остались полностью довольны проживанием и с уверенностью можем рекомендовать этот отель.

• Brankovic (10/5): - Staff is incredibly kind,its easy to communicate and you feel welcomed. Small nice cozy hotel, fantastic location and considering everything that you can find around it is value for money. Human touch is something important for me above fancy brand. All staff speaks very good English and they treat you with respect. Also,very easy to arrange transportation and tours. It's not about didn't like but if you are travelling with 1-3 year old toddler you need to disscus with hotel appropriate room for you as it is boutique hotel and no kids amenities so just prepare yourself well in advance and all is good :)

• Massiel (10/5): 10/10 recommend - Great location - accessible to trains, main attractions, restaurants & nightlife. Staff was amazing and super responsive. They helped me set up a lovely surprise for my husband and were a text away for any of our needs. Also gave great recommendations. Breakfast was great and rooms were clean. We had a lovely view!
• Roman (10/5): Хороший отель в историческом центре Стамбула - Мы отдыхали с женой и годовалым ребенком. Персонал отеля был максимально вежливый и отзывчивый! Завтраки были хорошие, турецкие. В номере было тихо и комфортно для сна. Несмотря на то, что отель располагается вблизи Галатской башни, около самого отеля достаточно спокойно и не шумно. Мы знали, что номер будет небольшой. Нас это устроило. Но кому важна большая площадь, лучше смотреть номер просторнее. Так же в жару может быть такое, что кондиционер не справится. Минимум, который можно выставить, 19 градусов. Нам было жарко иногда, так как выключали отопление в ванной чтобы высушить одежду. Если его не включать, то будет комфортно.

• Sebastian (10/5): Toller Aufenthalt – sehr zu empfehlen! - Vom ersten Moment an haben wir uns wohl gefühlt. Check-in lief reibungslos, das Personal war durchgehend freundlich und hat bei Fragen immer unkompliziert geholfen. Das Hotel ist sauber und gepflegt. Das Frühstück hat uns positiv überrascht: große Auswahl, frisch, lecker. Mehr als genug, um gut in den Tag zu starten. Die Lage ist auch super: Wer möchte, läuft einfach los – wer weiter will, ist mit Metro oder Fähre schnell unterwegs. Alles hat super gepasst!

• Emrah (10/5): - Doruk palace was A diamond in the ruff. A true gem with an amazing view and superb location. DORUK palace felt home. Why? We were Always greeted with a smile and the place felt warm and genuinely comforting. All the while feeling like you are staying at a palace- you are provided with exceptional customer service as request's and needs met with a joyful hand. We may be back again :) Room temperature very warm. Bed and pillows average.

Pagalba teikiama visą parą, todėl jautėmės saugiai ir ramiai. Kambariuose radome viską, ko gali prireikti patogiam poilsiui. Vaizdas pro langą – tiesiog vertas milijono. O misteris Osmanas (katinas) – mano didžioji meilė, jis tikrai liks atmintyje ilgam. Išvykstame su liūdesiu. Jei dar kada nors sugrįšiu, be jokių abejonių apsistosiu būtent čia.
• Ali Shehzad (10/5): Very comfortable stay and we were well looked after by everybody. - Loved everything about Doruk Palas hotel during our 4 day stay here recently. We got the room on the top floor with the terrace and the views were absolutely incredible. The hotel staff was some of the most hospitable, friendly and helpful I have ever come across, specially Muhammad, Bilal and Hassan. The rooms were clean and comfortable and the breakfast every morning was a treat with a good variety of foods. Everything was topped by Osman the cat - The chief security incharge who always kept an eye on us and even made room visits to check if we were ok! Would definitely stay here again. Cant think of anything that I didn’t like.
• Hendra (1/5): This hotel is a 100% dump. At best a 2-star cheap motel, not a 4-star hotel. - Nothing. The place is a dump. You're paying a 4-star hotel price for a 2-star hotel (or cheap motel) experience. Do yourself a favor and spend this money on a proper 4-star hotel. "I need you to do me a favour... to give us a 10/10", said the receptionist on our last checkout day. You can see from the photos uploaded (e.g. cup-sized hole in the wall in the room), what a horrible condition the property is in. But the fella still had the nerve to demand a 10/10 online review score from us. Talk about being dishonest and toxic pressure tactics. I suspect many of these other reviews were done under this pressure. I'm summarizing the BAD issues we observed during our stay: 1) Cup-sized hole in the wall - see photo 2) Water leaking (with mold) on bathroom ceiling - see photo 3) Paints peeling from part of the room wall - see photo 3) Broken bathroom switch panel - see photo 4) Bed blanket barely wide enough to cover entire bed (i.e. gets chilly when sleeping at night for 2 people) - see photo 5) View outside is a dump and not as advertised; it looks like a landfill - see photo 6) Mattress too soft (bad for someone with bad back) and just 2 single-beds pulled together 7) Neighborhood NOT SAFE at night as the hotel is in the middle of an industrial area where shops are closed at night with no one around and not much lighting. We walked back around midnight and got harassed (shouted and whistled at) by passing vehicle. We also passed by a van parked in a dark corner alley with its engine switched off on the road up to the hotel; there were two guys inside (driver + passenger seat) who kept staring at us from that dark corner while we walked by. It felt incredibly unsafe, and thankfully there were two of us. At one point I had to tell my partner that if they approach us on foot or using the car she needs to run to the hotel as fast as possible to call for help. 8) Room is very old and rundown. Nothing like the photos posted online. 9) Manipulative staff - very warm and charming to disarm you from the sorry state of the property and to guilt trip you later into giving them good review.

• Erik (8/5): Heerlijk relaxed hotel, centraal gelegen voor een mooie citytrip. - Het vriendelijke personeel was heel fijn, het ontbijt precies goed en de kamer en badkamer was iedere dag even schoon. De locatie van het hotel was voor een stedentrip echt goed: bus, tram en metro op loopafstand. Top! NB. Opmerkelijk: de receptionist, die altijd vriendelijk was, vroeg om onze 9/10 beoordeling aan te passen naar 10/10 én om de tekst hieronder te veranderen. Dat lijkt me niet de bedoeling. Reviews horen realistisch te zijn en daar helpen scores bij die afwijken van 10/10. Hopelijk stopt men met pushen om nietszeggende perfecte review scores in te vullen. De speciale koffie bij het ontbijt kon beter en de beer van mijn dochter was spoorloos na de eerste dag. Die lag in een lade opgeborgen 😂 NB. Na het lezen van de review van Singapore gasten (16 april), heb ik de score met terugwerkende kracht aangepast naar een 8/10. Redenen: het beddengoed is idd te klein voor een tweepersoons bed. Voor het hotel ligt een braak liggend terrein, afgeschermd met bouwplaten. Als je uitzicht belangrijk vindt, kan dat storend zijn. De buurt was wat ons betreft veilig.

Siisti kylpyhuone ja tarpeeksi hygieniatuotteita. Vesipullo tuotiin joka päivä. Hieman remontoinnin tarvetta lattiassa (oli rikki), liian vähän vaatesäilytystilaa: esim. pari koukkua seinässä ulkovaatteille olisi hyvä ja (turhan) sohvan tilalla vaatekaappi ja mukava siirrettävä tuoli.

• Sergei (10/5): Всё отлично. - Отличное местоположение, близко к достопримечательностям, но при этом в шаге от основного движения, на тихой улочке. Поэтому спать было комфортно, никакого шума. Метро рядом, не сложно добраться куда-либо. Завтрак сытный, но мне хотелось бы добавить листья салата на стол и больше разнообразия овощей. Рядом много кафе и ресторанов на различный ценовой диапазон и вкус. Удобные кровати и подушки. Чисто, уборка ежедневная. Очень приветливый персонал, все просьбы выполнялись. Кошки при отеле тоже очень ласковые. Для проживания в этом районе отличный вариант. Хотелось бы больше зелени на завтрак.

From the moment we arrived at the airport to the moment we left, we felt welcomed and helped with everything. The staff are unbelievably pleasant — all of them do their work with passion and care about you all the time. As for the apartment, everything was great. The rooms have amazing views and are always clean. A huge part of this hotel’s charm is the cat Osman, who made us laugh many times. I cannot recommend this hotel enough!

• Patrick (10/5): - Great hotel in an extremely convenient location for all of the major attractions in Istanbul. The staff were extremely welcoming and friendly, immediately making us feel at home. The room was not the largest, but comfortable and totally adequate. Everything was clean, new, and visibly well cared for.

В номере было немного душно,но можно было открыть окна или включить кондиционер. Завтрак можно было бы улучшить. Хотелось бы лучше кофе на завтраке.

• Polly (9/5): Met our needs totally and if I was to return to IST I would stay again - Good customer service. Staff were helpful. Comfy bed. Well had nice bedroom views. Well located for our needs. Two resident cats, were lovely. Right opposite the hotel the land is a tip. There is a right way only to walk there, as some of the adjacent streets are not nice, poor quality road and lacking light.
