Dificultad de comunicación con el administrador, el apartamento un poco descuidado, tenía una fuga de agua. Fulmigamos porque nos salió una cucaracha. El WiFi fatal. TV nunca funcionó.

The location is great—next to restaurants, breakfast cafes, a supermarket, and all of the incredible adventures in the Arenal area. Common areas are charming, and the pool is nice. The staff is so helpful and friendly. We were a large group with young kids, teenagers, and 20agers, and everyone was happy. I would not hesitate to stay or recommend Iris again. 10/10! I’d recommend that they update their website site photos.

• Richard (9/5): Lovely comfortable stay with beautiful view - The staff were brilliant, friendly and helpful and the view from our room was excellent of the volcano and the hotel garden/ pool which attracted a host of colourful birds. A kettle in the room would have been a nice bonus.

• Bas (6/5): - De airco werkt goed. Met de hitte in dit gebied was dat erg fijn. De douche werkt ook goed en heeft warm water. De sfeer rondom het zwembad is gezellig. Het hotel ligt vlak langs een drukke weg, maar je hoort het verkeer nauwelijks. Het personeel is erg behulpzaam, je moet echter overal zelf achteraan als je iets wil: bijv schone handdoeken of extra wcpapier. De bedden liggen verschrikkelijk. Ze zijn zo enorm hard, dat door het liggen op je zij je 's nachts wakker wordt van pijn in je afgeknelde schouders. De gezamenlijke keuken ontbreekt vanalles. Er is geen warm water, de afwas mogelijkheden zijn er bijna niet, er is maar weinig bestek, borden, kommetjes en er ziin ook te weinig tafels en stoelen. Andere gasten, die hun aangekoekte rijst in de pan laten staan, doet het personeel helaas niets aan. De gordijnen van de kamer zijn veel te klein. Je kan niet alles afsluiten tegen de inkijk of de zon.
• Steve Schaller (9/5): Lovely Pool Waterfall - We loved the outside porch area being able to look over the garden courtyard. There was a delightful waterfall pouring into the pool which was wonderful to hear. We enjoyed both the sound of the gurgling waterfall and dipping into the pool to cool off. Located on the outskirts of the town, we could easily drive out to Arenal Volcano National Park. The nearby restaurant serves delicious Indian food and the nearby grocery store was great for lunch foods and snacks. Parking was okay with our smaller car rental, but may be difficult for larger trucks.

• IngeJon (7/5): Basic hotel op prima locatie - Schone kamer en aardige mensen. Het indiaas eten in het restaurant bij het hotel was ook erg lekker. De locatie is prima! Niet in het centrum van la fortuna, maar net erbuiten. Wat prima is. Er zijn genoeg leuke soda's en ontbijten is een aanrader bij the red frog ernaast. Ook ben je met de auto of een uber zo in het echte centrum van la fortuna. Alle activiteiten die je kunt doen zijn dichtbij. De waterval, wandeling bij de Arenal, zipline, hotsprings. Het hotel is flink verouderd. De kamers zijn goed schoongemaakt maar de meubels, bekleding, badkamer, het viel ons best wel tegen. De prijzen zijn hoog in La Fortuna dus in vergelijking daarmee is dit misschien wel redelijk, maar we hadden op beter gehoopt.
• Julia (7/5): Gute Unterkunft, besonders für Familien - Gute Lage, warmes Wasser, eigener Pool. Nettes Personal. Kühlschrank auf dem Zimmer und kleiner Balkon. Grundsätzlich eine gute Unterkunft mit allem notwendigen. Wir hatten zwei Doppelbetten und ein Einzelbett für vier Personen. Mehr als wir gebraucht hätten. Als "Bettdecke " hatten wir etwas andere Vorstellungen. Man musste die Tagesdecke nutzen. Leider gab es einen unangenehmen Geruch aus dem Badezimmer, was zunächst durch Toilettensteine versucht wurde zu beheben. Die Küche könnte etwas besser und sauberer ausgestattet sein.

Filtre de la piscine qui tourne uniquement la nuit avec un bruit de cascade qui empêche de dormir. Cuisine extérieure commune qui doit être modernisée.

Cozinha comum estava um pouco suja e a geladeira comum com coisas estragadas dentro com muito mal cheiro. Mas tínhamos outra geladeira no quarto. Área da piscina poderia estar com as cadeiras mais limpas e organizadas.

• Lopez (9/5): - The place was clean well located and a great price. Place run by the same staff as the indian restaurant that is in the entrance of the hotel. So when the restaurant is full the staff at the hotel is minimum. Only staff available was the cleaning lady who was super attentive on us while there.

• Kimberley-anne (10/5): Real Hidden Gem - My 3rd stay at this excellent little gem of a hotel. Room was immaculate and pool very beautiful. The grounds are so beautiful and the garden is amazing. Everything fantastic. Had a wonderful lunch at Saffron Indian Restaurant of lamb vindaloo. The food was to die for. The hotel is so centrally located to restaurants and art galleries. I highly recommend this place. Awesome value for the money. Nothing

Public kitchen area was useful, but, dishes, pans, cutlery etc... cleaned by guests and left to airdry in draining board. I misunderstood the pics when I rented rooms and thought our rooms had kitchenettes. Did not realize it was shared area. The dishsoap and sponge was disgusting. Had to buy our own.

Pool and garden nice and look good in photos but only 2 sunbeds and no umbrella ( 5* !!) reviews are deceptive and 5* is a joke. Much nicer places for less money. . Wi-fi good. Photos show my room surround outside. Ants, horrendous noise from drunk men shouting till ,3 am. Room is in car park , Louvre windows give no soundproofing. Staff from Indian restaurant manage place but go home at night. It's mainly for Costa Rican people and they book place out , lots of yelling and loud music.. Ridiculous price for no sleep. Had to keep curtains pulled as clear views in to room from car park on three sides, so dark inside. Kitchen has little stuff. The drunks make it frightening , older men and it would be dangerous to go outdoors to try and speak to them , even the Indian staff in morning agree. I had to move .Very expensive for this place despite ok pool.

Excellent the manager spoke English for me but for Spanish speakers a little difficult I would imagine. Very nice pool and nice kitchen with microwave, stove and coffee maker. Could have used some forks and spoons and coffee mugs. Nice eating area and excellent location. We did not try the Indian restaurant but next time. Room very very clean with fridge. Nice little hotel. We would definitely stay again. It was all very good. Good supermarket right next door.

I waited 20 minutes for someone to meet me in the office. This was after I had to message them through the Booking.com site. I was not sure who was helping me or where they were coming from.

• George (9/5): When the manager of a hotel makes you feel feel like you’re visiting family not just another guest, makes your stay spec - The location was good with a big Super Mercado right next door, many good restaurants very close to the hotel. There is an excellent Indian restaurant attached to the hotel. Our thanks to the wonderful manager, Harry, for his kindness & consideration during our stay. His attention to our comfort was deeply appreciated.

• Julie (5/5): Nice hotel and good location, but really bad service and freezing cold pool. - Good location and the hotel is nice and clean The pool is freezing cold, and the staff are never available, they’re all working in their restaurant in front of the hotel and are not paying attention to clients needs. We had bugs all over the bed and could t even find any staff to help us. They completely ignored me standing in the restaurant with my toddler in her Pj when I needed their attention. I gave up after 1 hour of trying to get their attention.
