Guest Reviews
- Anne (10/5): Perfect apartment - We arrived at the apartment and was welcomed by the sweetest couple. They showed us around in the apartment and were very helpful. They even let us stay a couple more hours on the day of departure. The apartment itself had a great placement and easy access to all the sights (we didn’t use public transportation once). It was spacious, and we didn’t miss anything the week we were there. We will definitely come back if we’re are ind Rome again and highly recommend to it to others Nothing it was perfect
- Anna (10/5): We had a wonderful stay in Rome. The apartment was lovely and the hosts were very welcoming and helpful. - The location and the size of the apartment was terrific.
- Fleming (9/5): Superb -
- Tereza (10/5): Exceptional - The location is excellent, with lots of restaurants and cafés, 10 minut by foot via ponte Sisto to piaza Navona, il Gesù, Pantheon etc. The apparment is cute (better looking than the photos), comfortable and well equiped (and great value for money!)
- Christopher (8/5): Very good -
- Laurel (10/5): Amazing apartment to explore Rome from! - This is a fantastic neighborhood to explore Rome from. It's a little far away from the major public transportation (metro) lines, but nothing is really more than a 30 minute walk away. The restaurants in the neighborhood are also perfect. Rafaella and Stefano were amazing hosts. The shower was warm, but the drain was a little slow. It took about a day to warm the apartment up, but I'm sure that's not an issue in the summer.
- Elizabeth (1/5): DON’T GET ROBBED, FIND SOMEWHERE ELSE! - Great location in a lively square. However if you value your safety and possessions, DON’T STAY HERE.
Inside is fairly basic but does the job - I think we left it cleaner than we found it, but was fine. (And we have before/after photos if the owner puts up a silly reply!) Not sure about the old broom, dirty rag etc that was left in the shower when we arrived!
Be aware of the steep stairs to the bedroom and bathroom, not suitable for everyone.
Kitchenette fairly well kitted out.
Booking.com refunded us for the last night’s stay, the night we were broken into, which is very appreciated, especially as the owner lied to them about the locks. There was NO KEY for the main 5 bolt lock (porta blindata), just a cheap small lock and a star key lock for the outside only, therefore no way of securing the door from the inside. I asked Virginia and she just shrugged, told us it didn’t matter and not to bother with the star key. So YES WE WERE BURGLED..interesting they knew late afternoon the one apartment at the top of a building was empty and had no proper lock and so knew exactly which one to chisel away…raised eyebrows from the attending police over this too! Barely any English spoken even though it says so on property details. I hope Virginia enjoys the iron ;)
- Antonella (9/5): Perfect - Great apartment, super comfortable, the Host super kind and the location is in a very cool neighborhood ( a bit noisy in the night). Recommended 100% I would come back there next time. ..
- Gypsymalu (9/5): Excellent - Location
- James (10/5): Exceptional - This is in the heart of Trastevere! There is no better area of Rome. It's only 2 blocks from Piazza di Trilussa. This is the perfect place to catch a taxi or watch street performers. It's a small piazza not terribly overcrowded. You can cross the bridge and walk to many of the great attractions. Also there are restaurants everywhere and you can't go wrong. The nightlife is great but doesn't go too late. Be aware this is a 4th story apt. Italians don't count ground level. Lol. There is a small elevator so you can avoid the stairs. Also it is a split level like many Italian apts the loft is up a narrow set of steep stairs. Finally the host doesn't speak much English, so use the message app. If you can live with these few issues, this place is perfect!
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (9/5): Superb -
- Zuzanna (10/5): Everything was amazing, especially the location! Great place to go anywhere and full of restaurants! -
- Małgorzata (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jeannice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jesus (10/5): Fantastic location in the heart of Trastevere - The location was exceptional, in the heart of Trastevere. That meant we were always surrounded by the best restaurants and night life. And all the main Rome attractions are at walking distance.
- Maria (6/5): Improve fire hazards please - Excellent location Fire hazard.
The apartment was on the 3rd floor of a house with many apartments on each floor and a narrow staircase. A lift was available too. The stairs were narrow, there were no smoke alarms on the stairs or the apartment, no fire extinguishers, or fire blankets, the windows were very small so provided no route for escape. The square was busy with restaurant tables, open naked flames and often found people smoking on the doorstep. The least that can be done is to install smoke detectors and fire extinguishers.
- Trvvlngkim (9/5): Live like a local! - Great Location, quiet, comfortable, friendly host. Nice hot shower. Live like a local. Bed is a little hard, but not as hard as many beds we've slept in in Italy. Plenty of extra bedding and a/c. Elevator, good hair dryer. Shower needs a deeper clean, or a regrouting. The dirty rag left in there was not very pleasant. That's about the only negative.
- Sara (10/5): In the heart of Trastevere surrounded by amazing restaurants - This apartment is located in the heart of Trastevere. Just a few steps away you will find delicious restaurants (our favorite in Rome!). Reaching the historical center from there takes about 25 minutes, either on foot or by bus. There are several bus stops nearby. The neighborhood is very lively, it is the heart of Roman night life in an incredibly charming neighborhood. Stephano, the host, was very kind in welcoming us and recommending things to do in Rome. At night it can be a bit noisy due to the night life of the neighborhood. We were asked to take out the garbage at the end of our stay and this should not be asked of guests; it should be included in what you are paying for your stay (cleaning fee).
- Kristian (10/5): Exceptional - Very helpful hosts, excellent location and looks better than the pictures suggest. Its a very large space. can be slightly loud at night, but that's Trastevere!
