Guest Reviews
- SERGIO (10/5): - Lugar tranquilo y sus anfitriones de una calidad humana extraordinaria. Además, c/muchos muy cerca de circuitos turísticos naturales. 100% recomendable. Todo me gustó
- Mikko (9/5): - out of town, own private cabin within refugio.
Only stayed for one night while passing through but Mr Arturo and family were super helpful. Go and experience homestay - recommended.
Gracias
- Teis (9/5): Would come back - Host pick us up from the ferry and bring us to the airport.
House had 2 heaters 1 on wood other on gas. Kitchen was ok, had the thing you need.
Nature around and in front of you
Easy going place, host was very hospitable and helpful Nothing
- Irina (7/5): Good - It’s a nice place, very quiet, we stayed there after doing Dientes de Navarino trek (which is pretty convenient, no need to go to the city).
the host organized a taxi to the airport for us with no problem the shower barely worked
- Ayelen (8/5): nice rustic place near the forest. - Location is nice, near the forest about 50 min walk from the main center. Its a little independent cabana with solar panel system, rustic, ideal to disconnect. You can go for a run from there. It has a little kitchen with everything and a wood stove. The owner Arturo is very nice, he picked me up from the ferry and was always available to give me a lift if needed. Puerto Williams is a small place full of nature and everything is limited, so this was a good place to me to start my trip. Its not a place for everybody since its a bit rustic. The shower is small (so not ideal if you are very tall), and the only downside for me was the charging system which was very slow due the solar panel system, so it took a long time to charge phone and other electronics. Its a place to disconnect and be chill.
- Sabrina (10/5): Exceptional - I highly recommend staying in this beautiful place. The hosts are super welcoming, communication was excellent from the beginning. They picked me up in the middle of the night from the ferry, fire already lit and the hut cozy and warm. Whenever they went to a trip they would offer me to join or helped me with transportation whereever I wanted to go. Two times I had dinner with them and the food was super delicious and fresh and we had nice conversations though my Spanish is very little, but translator helped ;) It`s a calm and peaceful place with beautiful view onto the Beagle Canal and Argentinia`s mountains and lovely free raoming horses are your neighbors. You can easily walk to the nearby waterfalls and the botanical garden. The town centre is a bit further, but still walkable. Otherwise there would alwas be someone to give you a lift. I was happily surprised, that there was WI-FI. It was not always working super fast, but was good enough to plan my further travels and sometimes would even work for videos etc. and will probably improve in future. I stayed four days and wished I had not booked my flight in advance so I could have stayed longer. For the ones who are worried about keeping the fire going: Arturo would always come to help, but there was also a gas stove to bridge some time without the wood stove.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Bert (10/5): Exceptional - Best stay in Chile!
Living in a small cottage surrounded by trees and animals with a view on the Beagle Canal. Adventures and extremely cozy. The comfort didn't make us miss anything.
Last but not least very friendly and helpful hosts.
Do not worry about the distance to the town, they always offered us a lift.
Many thanks to Arturo, Victoria and the others.
