Guest Reviews
- Clifton (10/5): - The sound of the waves & the still of the morning ☕️ Not enough time to spend at the beach,
Before the day slips away
- James (7/5): Enjoy the food which is available 24 hours, canteen staff is very friendly. Bed - Like the variety of food. location is a bit off. No wifi in the accomodation. Single bed.
- Ylva (10/5): - Important to note: this is not a hotel or resort, but a camp for FIFO workers – and should be judged accordingly.
The accommodation is simple but functional and serves its purpose. The biggest highlight is the 24/7 meal service included in the price, which works perfectly with irregular work hours.
It suited our needs well during a short stopover.
Overall: no luxury, but it delivers well

- Hilson (7/5): comfortable and easy - No issue with facilities, all fit for purpose There was no admin representation during my stay
- Hamish (6/5): Good value for area, mess hall was great, whole site needs more work - Staff great, Food excellent, room adequate demolition site next to room, bad phone reception coupled with no onsite internet options, tv in room didnt actual recieve anything,
- JACOB (8/5): Easy comftable clean food included - The mess😊 Wifi wasnt that good
- catherine (8/5): - Pas de wifi sauf à la cafeteria. Superbe cafeteria ouverte 24/24. Personnel agreable. Bien pour nuit d etape et decouverte des logement des mineurs, style cabine.
- OSBORNE (4/5): - Location and food being included. The young lady on the front desk was lovely Rooms smelt bad. I actually asked to be moved the first was so awful. Eau de ashtray mixed with mould and some sort of cleaning product or essential oil. The second was better in that it didn't ave the ashtray smell. They were a good size and comfortable but the smell thing was weird
- Arunchandran (7/5): - Food Room and area
- Andrew (9/5): Very convenient and very good value compared to alternatives. - The mess being open all day was fantastic Being near the laundry - plumbing there is suspect!
- Krstin (10/5): -

- Helen Jane (8/5): Enjoyed our stay. - Cleanliness and staff Nothing
- Sonia (10/5): This will definitely be a place we stop at every time on way to Perth - Quality of food in the 24 hour mess was next level EPIC and very tasty.
Room was clean with excellent facilities plus the most comfortable bed to sleep on.
I was very surprised that camp life would be that good! Everyone we came in contact with was friendly!
Hats off to the Chefs and staff…
100% recommend stay here if you need somewhere to stay in Port Headland Nothing at all!
Exceeded my expectations 10 fold
- John (8/5): Thanks to the catering staff. - Clean, quiet, fully catered. Double bed pushed against wall making difficult for one person to enter/leave the bed.
- Michael (1/5): - The room was dirty and can’t even get wifi in the room. When you’re paying this price for the room would expect a lot more. Very disappointed and the lack of help

- Viola (3/5): I would never spend that money again for this place. - Bed was comfortable, the room was clean. It’s good that the kitchen is open 24/7, even if the food quality is quite low. The room is absolutely not worth the money. For 330$ a night we expected a lot more. We didn’t even have Wi-Fi in the room, the television wasn’t working at all. The room is really basic, not a room that I would expect for that price.
- Saturnino (8/5): nice - good chef and foods weather
- Vojtech (5/5): Passable -
- Macri (9/5): Superb -
- Kevin (10/5): Overall I would stay again and I have already recommended to others to stay here due to the food being that good. - The food was excellent Rooms could do with a revamp
- Washington (3/5): Not ideal - Location Room stank of dampness and aircon probably not serviced in a long time, all mouldy
- Belinda (7/5): gravy in the pie - the food was good quality and the staff were helpful. looks from the outside like a prison camp but nice once in the room.
- Shoana (8/5): Nice, quiet and clean - The food was awesome Room aircon requires a service
- Michael (5/5): Passable - Price was discussing
- Luke (9/5): Superb - Great accommodation. Rooms are simple, but clean and comfortable. The 24hr food in the mess was a huge bonus. Lots of great food options.
- Bjorn (8/5): Very good -
- Kelly (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): Very good -
- Cassidi (10/5): Amazing food, if I'm ever up north again I'll be back. - The food was excellent. The staff were also friendly and approachable so as a single female traveller I felt very safe. The 24-hr restaurant was a lifesaver for my one-night stay. When I finished my gig that night I was exhausted after travel, setup and packdown, and being able to get a decent hot meal at 1am made all the difference. I appreciated the takeaway options the next morning as I had to eat on the run when catching a plane. I have recommended this place to anyone else I know who is travelling up north. The disinfectant used to clean the room smelt a bit strong (but hey, I knew 100% it was clean! and it faded quickly), the curtains in my room were a little narrow for the window so I felt like I constantly had to check them to make sure there wasn't a gap.
- Kevin (8/5): Stayed for a week, room and bed was great. Food was the bestselling point for me. - Loved the unlimited 24/7 foods. Location was good if you prefer port hedland.
- Coffin (7/5): Good location - The kitchen was open 24/7 More for contracting businesses
- Kerri (3/5): Dissatisfied and felt fooled by the advertisement about the overpriced facility. - Not much to like. The room was clean and smelt fresh. Way over priced. No facility in room to make a drink. The mess food was terrible and looked like it been out all day. The facility is very old and run down. Don’t be fooled by the advertising. It is simply a very run down FIFO CAMP. Nothing reflective towards a lodge at all. Rooms are noisey. Staff are not overly helpful. Bed linens very old and worn thin.
- Lynley (9/5): Superb -
- Chen (8/5): Very good -
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (9/5): Worth a try - This was a surprise. No accomodation in port Hedland. This one came up and is basically a mining camp. However the double room ( donga ) was comfortable and spotlesslessy clean and tariff included a 24 hour mess to eat in. Receptionist was lovely and showed us to our room.
- Kyto (8/5): pleasantly surprised. - The food was very good, location was not too far from airport. No WIFI and no Shampoo for the shower.
