Guest Reviews
- Dawson (10/5): - My boyfriend and I couldn’t have asked for a better spot to stay for our last night in PEI. While you do feel like you’re in the middle of nowhere that’s half the charm. The property was beautiful the breakfast they served was delicious and we couldn’t have asked for more out of our stay. We will certainly to try stay here again the next time we’re on the east coast!
- Wesley (10/5): - Good location not far from Wood Island ferry. The view was amazing. Cozy - friendly staff.
- Stephen (6/5): - The sunrise was gorgeous. Limited access to the beach as we couldn’t find the ladder down. No TV in room. Wifi was good. East drive to Murray Harbour for dinner. Property is rustic. Fridge and propane fireplace in room.
- John (6/5): - Great to be so close to the ocean. With great views.
- Yannick (10/5): Fantastique! - Fantastique, très bon accueil, une vue de rêve, endroit tranquille, la plage privée et un petit déjeuner très bon, à la carte.
- Peter (4/5): - The property is rundown. One door between suites which the lights is shining through.
We had to drive 30 km for dinner which was subpar.
- Eleanor (8/5): Great stay! - Unbelievable location! Fantastic views! Owners very nice and delicious breakfast. As stated on hotels.com, super close for ferry.
Only possible suggestions: better pillows; tabletop fans available; light to mark driveway off road.
- brian (10/5): - The inn has magnificent views of the ocean, is centrally located, and serves delicious breakfasts. Hosts are friendly and very accommodating. One area of improvement would be in providing better lighting upon entering unit....both outside and inside. Overall, a lovely place to stay.
- Eileen (10/5): - The property is beautiful. The breakfast is outstanding. We loved it.
- EMILY (8/5): - A hidden gem, pretty and quiet. Comfortable and spacious room
- Trish (10/5): - We loved the peace and quiet of this place. sitting on the porch listening to the rain at night and having coffee reading in the am was heaven for us. The Hosts were amazing with local recommendations and the breakfast was yummy!
- David (10/5): - Cliffside Inn is in a beautiful area just 10 minutes from the Wood Islands Ferry Terminal and on the water. Somewhat of an eccentric layout but full of character and good vibes. Hosts Amber and Jay were very helpful and prepared a nice dinner for us on our last evening. Conveniently located for all eastern island day trips in PEI
- Nicole (8/5): Quaint little seaside Inn near the ferry - The Inn has the right idea. It's set beautifully on a cliff side overlooking the water. The decor is done well and the atmosphere is very cozy.
The bed and pillows are rock hard and made for a challenging night's sleep, and the host could have been a tad more responsive. But overall, it's cute little in and a perfect place to spend the night if you're catching the Wood Islands ferry in the morning
- Michael (10/5): - We very much enjoyed our stay at this amazing place. The rooms were so unique and well decorated. Super comfortable and the views were unbeatable. Our hosts were knowledgeable and accommodating. Can’t wait to come back. We highly recommend The Cliffside Inn to anyone. It’s a great home base for exploring the wonderful island of PEI.
- marget (4/5): - This couple does not know how to run an Inn. Disorganized. Poor communication. The husband was friendly (Amber seemed pained to even say hello and was ungracious ). Jay did very kindly make us a nice meal. Other than that, they seem unfit for their chosen profession.
- Mary (10/5): Best host on the island! - When we got there, they had no record of our reservations. Immediately, Amber said they had one room vacant and was so accommodating!!! She immediately freshened up our room, gave us a bottle of wine, and assured us everything was fine!
- Sai (10/5): Beautiful o - Charming little cottage. Breathtaking ocean views. Comfy bed. Excellent breakfast buffet.
- Llloyd (10/5): - Beautiful area with the cliffs etc . Breakfast was great & had a good visit. Sorry could only stay for one night.
- Brenda (10/5): - Very cool historical B&B. Thanks Amber and Jason
- William (10/5): A little gem on the south coast of PEI - While only an overnight stay this little inn tucked in on the south coast of PEI offered a magnificent view of the St Lawrence, comfy king sized beds and a home cooked breakfast. The owners were welcoming and friendly and made sure we had everything we needed.
- James (10/5): - A great location overlooking the ocean. The owners were super helpful in suggesting things to do and places to eat. Breakfast was super tasty.
- Casey (8/5): - If you want a cozy little getaway from the hustle and bustle this is your sign. It was an overnight in the Spring - cool & rainy so unable to enjoy the grounds. But drivable to local eats in the area. Amy, our host, was super friendly. Enjoyed her company at breakfast.
- Daniel (10/5): - Nice cozy place i loved everything about it the view was incredible even had the first snow storm and wind storm and the house didnt even creek one bit
Id recommend this for.anyone that want to explore PEI
- Cindy (10/5): - Very quiet and tranquil property. Amber our host was spectacular! Breakfast was delicious!!!
- Ann (10/5): Beautiful red cliff & waterside view!!! - This was a wonderful stay. Our balcony was right next to the water. At night, the moon shone over the water and was beautiful. We were given a list of hot breakfasts, and we were told to text our breakfast order, and we did. We could pick a time between 8:00 and 9:30. We just went downstairs and our hot breakfast was made. Lovely and delicious. Thr building is a redecorated old barn. The floor does slope on our room, but don’t know about the other rooms. So peaceful and beautiful altogether. Highly recommend!!!
- Melanie (10/5): Beautiful Stay - Was fantastic
- Lucie (8/5): - beautiful, great place, breakfast was ok, not hot foods
- Kevan (10/5): - Nice and quiet great views of the sea, saw some seals. Very clean.
- Colleen (8/5): - Beautiful, quiet property. Rustic charm that was peaceful and relaxing. Amazing ocean view.
- Wendy (10/5): - Great location on the cliffside.
- Nathalie (8/5): - Wonderfully quiet and peaceful.
- Shawn (10/5): - B&B with beautiful large suites with ocean views. The owners are very nice, helpful people (and they make great Breakfast too!). The quiet remote location on the cliffs is awesome. Fire at night is nice. Little more than hotel room but well worth it. A slight negative on no AC if its a hot day.
- Andrea (10/5): - Close to ferry
- Verified traveler (6/5): Great location - Great location, walking distance to centre. Great it had washing machine and provided washing liquid. Breakfast was good. Unfortunately the beds were extremely uncomfortable. Hotel overall could be great just needs a bit of updating.
- Joyce (8/5): - Remodeling was being done and we had no AC in our room, just fans.
- john david (10/5): - Nice little B&B sort of in the middle of nowhere. Great ocean views. Nothing fancy, but decent. It was the nicest place we found near the Woods Island Ferry.
- Emma (10/5): - Absolutely stunning property. Amber was so accommodating and helpful the whole stay. They make you feel right at home. They also make an AMAZING breakfast! We will definitely be staying here again for our next trip out to PEI. Thanks Amber!
- Theresa (10/5): The Best!! - We love The Cliffside Inn!! We were sorry we weren’t staying another night!! Amber is the best and wonderful host!!
- VERONICA (10/5): - I really like the view by the sea really comfy the bed :)
- Catherine (6/5): Bad experience - Beautiful property with incredible views. Unfortunately our experience was poor. We were told that the property was not open and he should’ve canceled (it was low season). We were also told we should’ve called direct as we paid too much booking online. But the topper was that we were promised breakfast but no one ever showed (we were the only ones there). No explanation. No message, nothing. We left and did not hear anything until after I sent a message hours later. Since we had to catch the ferry we had no chance to have breakfast until we were aboard (no place was open around the property). If I had heard an apology from the host first I would not be writing this review but I did not care for the way we were treated.
