• Niccole (10/5): - It seemed as though we were the only people there. We had privacy in tye pool area, the pool had a breathtaking view & the gym was very well equipped. The breakfast was delicious, & the bed waa very comfortable.
• Bridget (6/5): - Area was not the greatest. Hotel was old and not cute at all. Room was dingy and hot water was luke warm. The staff was friendly and helped out a lot. Owners need to do better. Pool was okay but hot tube did not work so what’s the point to have water in there collecting bugs. Not worth it. The only good thing was it was a $7 cab ride to the good areas.

• David (8/5): A good stay. - I had a short overnight stay in Belize City and this hotel was conveniently located. My room was totally adequate for my needs with a nice fridge and a good AC unit. It met all of my needs. I will stay there again, and hope to check out the pool next time!

• Karen (4/5): - Old. Dirty. The 1 elevator was out of service when I arrived mid afternoon. Could not get to my room for a couple of hours. No restaurant. Far from other amenities. Smelly. Not a good hotel. A local told me this hotel has been shut down 3 times in the past for violations. And that it is known to be a “hookup” hotel.
• Christianna (6/5): - Paid for a city view but got put into a windowless box on the first night because they had overbooked and it was “first come first serve” for the room I paid for, I guess. The box must have been some afterthought when building the hotel because it was tiny, dingy, and dark. Light bulbs were missing. The safety box was just a cash box you’d bring to a little league snack table. It didn’t even have a key, not that it would have stopped a thief anyway. The next day, after showing them my reservation, they kindly moved us to a much better room. It acted looked like a hotel room. It was a corner room and rather enjoyable. Though, I never got refunded any difference in price for the first night. The gym was fully stocked and the pool was nice and clean with a great view.
• Hope (2/5): - This place is absolutely nothing like described or shown in the pictures. Upon arrival I found it very strange they never asked for a form of ID before letting me into the room. Once in the room there were stains on the bedding, dirty wash cloths in the bathroom, and just looked dirty in general. The advertise for airport shuttles, pool, restaurant/continental breakfast. The pools broke. Been broke according to other reviews. The shuttle isn’t free. It doesn’t run every hour. You have to book with the front desk and it’s $70. When confronted about the hourly free shuttle service to the airport. They acknowledged that they were aware it was still on the site, and that they haven’t done those shuttles in awhile. Yet refuse to update the website and patients until they’re asked. The “breakfast” is a joke. It’s a pot of coffee, some bananas and sketchy looking donuts. Not to mention, you’re not allowed to leave their dark, dim lit, funeral home looking dining area. The staff are rude, not helpful, and you can tell they don’t care overall about being there. The location isn’t good either. Nothing is near the area and the crime rate in that area isn’t the best. Oh also, the doors don’t even have deadbolts on them 🙃 I wouldn’t stay here again if someone paid me. This place and its workers are a joke and this place needs to honestly be condemned. It’s so unsafe and dirty. I’m surprised they’re even allowed to stay open.
• Jasmine Patricia (8/5): - Budget friendly hotel. The hotel doesn't have a hair dryer, ironing board or a good restaurant. They do have a snack bar and cold and headache meds which was convenient. The staff was very pleasant and accomodating but the facility is a bit run down. Particles were dropping from the curtain. They cleaned the room everyday and that was good.
• Obi (10/5): - The staff were very friendly. The restaurant had good food. We loved the pool. We felt safe and comfortable as a gay couple, which can be hard to find. Thank you!
• Bianca (4/5): Tiny outdated rooms - The room was extremely small with little to no room to walk around the beds. Very outdated. Upon arrival after seeing how small the room was I asked to get an additional room because there were three of us. After buzzing the extra room I declined because it was on a “local floor” which was ran down worse than than the other room and much smaller.

• Verified traveler (6/5): Don’t if you don’t have too… - The place is a dive but then it’s in Belize City and one night didn’t kill me. At best this is a 25 dollar per night hotel. Pictures very deceiving sketchy area as well
• Pedro (8/5): Not perfect but very good. - Good place to stay, easy to get in and out of. Personnel was friendly. Would use again.
• Sabrina (2/5): - This place was absolutely horrible and nothing at all like it was advertised. Within 15 minutes of entering we scrambled to find somewhere else to stay. There were exposed wires all around the building, open hazards all around. The room was a disaster with crusted stains on every piece of bedding. The whole building is falling apart and should not be allowed to remain open, especially for the significant prices being asked.

They need to do better with the breakfast. who eat salad for breakfast. have some cereal, milk for this who does eat your food. will not stay in this place again.

• Michael (10/5): - Great hotel and great location. Easy to walk to stores, restaurants and roadside food stands. Amazing panoramic view on the rooftop, with nice 4ft pool and lots of seating. Complimentary breakfast was delicious every morning. Good lunch and dinner menus. Snacks, drinks and first aid items available for purchase in lobby. You can easily get a taxi or local bus to anywhere in the city.
• Verified traveler (6/5): One night stay before heading to the U.S. - No microwave, no cups and no remote control in the room. Pool area was nice but it was a bunch of beer bottles over the place. Pool view excellent and customer service at the desk was excellent out standing

• Natalia (6/5): - Ended up staying here on short notice after flight was cancelled. Booking through Travelocity was very quick and they had the reservation in their system w/in 30 minutes of me booking. The staff was very nice and highly accommodating. The property in general could use some touch ups (e.g peeling wallpaper, rusting appliances, etc). Our room had two queen beds which was great, but there was barely any room left over to move around/ for luggage. Breakfast was included, which was nice, but noting special and often cold depending on if they've put out fresh stuff when you got there. Overall, it was a life saver due to the cancelled flight, but if you want something a little more comfy/ upscale this might not fit the bill. Area around didn't have much, but that's how belize seems to be. Is a short 10 min ride to the airport and water taxi ports. Again, staff was great.

The light above the sink did not work. The water barely got room temperature. This is not a property I would stay at again.
• John (4/5): - We were stuck in Belize City with a flight delay and there were no other hotels available in the city. The check in was fine and the staff were accommodating however the facility was very rundown. The room were small and not well equipped. The heavy rain leaked into the room and the halls flooding the floors. The small restaurant had a very limited menu and the food was adequate at best. This hotel is a only stay in if there is nowhere else type.

The front desk was arguing in front of a lobby full of guests about who gave our room away. They seemed busier than normal because of the storm coming. The rooms smelled like smoke. My window was literally screwed open and rain was coming in. It was dirty and sheets did not seem cleaned so asked for more to switch out. Walked to the grocery to buy air freshener and Clorox wipes to clean up. Breakfast was surprisingly good.

• Verified traveler (2/5): They need an update - Had to grab a room at the Golden Tree Hotel due to Hurricane Beryl so it was kinda last minute. The staff was very welcoming and friendly and helped me with any and every question I had for them. Overall this hotel just isn’t in good shape though and I would recommend trying to find someplace to stay more east in Belize City by the water. This hotel isn’t really near any restaurants so unless you plan on paying for taxis to and from lunch or dinner you’re pretty much stuck with their “restaurant” (which had very fair priced food and the food was so so). Breakfast was also so so but it was free and served daily so you can only complain so much; also the coffee was definitely not good. The rooms were clean but our window shades kept falling off and the sliding glass door in our shower was completely broken and kept falling out of the grooves. We also had essentially no water coming out of the sink bathroom. You have to keep you card “plugged in” while you’re in your room for the electricity to come on. I get the eco friendly aspect of it all but it also meant the air conditioning wouldn’t be running while you were out so we always came back to a hot room. I would also steer clear of the pool, there wasn’t water circulating when I went in which most likely means they just blast it with chlorine. I actually believe I got a rash from chemical burn from going in the pool so proceed with caution. It was nice having a roof during a potential hurricane but I wouldn’t stay here again
• Dianna (6/5): - My stay was average, on my last day I woke up to the smell of sewage which was so horrible I couldn’t wait to check out, otherwise the staff are friendly and the service wasn’t bad
