Guest Reviews
Eher so Jugendherbergsstil.

- Miro (8/5): If you are well prepared this could be great stay - Excellent location Cold in the night
- Adam (7/5): -
- Otto (9/5): - Great location. Sea view.
Absolute silence after 10 p.m. Very small kitchen.
Shared bathroom where it is not possible to change clothes after showering.
- Eva (8/5): - Beautiful view from dining room!
Good value for money Not easy to park the car nearby
- Rabea (9/5): - Super clean hostel in an exceptionally beautiful location with a superb terrace. Excellent for hikers. Communication with the hosts was very good and check-in instructions clear. Kitchen is rather small, so I'd recommend to bring microwave meals.
- Darling (8/5): - Great place to stay in El Tablado. Lots of beds and a very small kitchen, so be aware if preparing food. There is an amazing little restaurant in the village, but you will almost certainly need to book in advance. I was on my own and got lucky!
- Peter (8/5): -
- Michał (3/5): Don't go there unless you're forced - Price. No warm water in the tap, no heating, no internet connection, no staff present, broken windows etc.

- Lisa (9/5): - Amazing location, clean and comfortable. Beautiful views and friendly staff Very small kitchen but no problem as we ate at the amazing restaurant down the road.
- Ingmar (7/5): -
- Adjoa (7/5): - in a midle of no where, no shop, no bus, no restaurant.. no heat

- Alex (9/5): Peaceful place with amazing views - Read the description! If you come prepared, with food (no shops), entertainment (one bar, opened at weekends or special occasions) and the idea of being isolated (one bus in, one bus out), this is the place!
Amazing views, lovely short/ long walks or hikes.
Francesco, Fran, is a lovely, kind host with a lovely family who is happy to help.
Had a lovely stay! 😃 Although the facilities are good, an outdoor sitting area would be lovely for the views and the kitchen much bigger, with work tops. Only one can cook at a time
- ann (9/5): Fabulous stop on GR 130 - Very clean, friendly,, location fabulous , views from dining room amazing.
Recomended those walking GR 130 midway between Barlovento & Santo Domingo. Kitchen very small & basic. Suggest best to bring precooked microwave food if possible.
There are 2 hotplates.

- Alexander (8/5): - Was a nice friendly place. Was a pretty tough walk from the bus down and up a very steep and deep baranco that I wasn't expecting.
- Lukas (8/5): -
- Elien (9/5): - The view, the trust, good beds, good communication, collaboration with the small resto.
- Peter (10/5): Albergue with an incredible terrace view. Popular spot for hikers. - The terrace view!! Also prime location for walks and hikes. Very comfy beds. Our experience was different from most I guess because we were almost alone at the time - this looks like a busy hiker's albergue otherwise. Quick checkin and kitchen is small, but it has everything you would need. Great showers, everything clean.

- Oriol (10/5): Exceptional -
- Loreta (10/5): Exceptional - So funny, we came there at night, never sawed the owner, took things, slept, left money, and we went further, so easy, clean and great location in country side!
- Ugnė (7/5): Great location makes it worth a compromise - The location is spot on for anyone who is doing GR130 or comes to La Palma for hiking. The hostel itself is very basic, but all necessities are here - bed, shower, toilet, small kitchen. There was not a single staff appearance, guests self administer 100%. You will find one room full of beds. Expect a bed and a mattress. If you need a pillow, a towel or a blanket - it will be 1 Eur extra per each. Bring your earplugs, you’ll need them if you don’t want to hear every snore or bathroom visit during the night.
- Roberto (7/5): Good -
- Nikolai (10/5): Exceptional - Terrace with amazing view over the ocean and ideal for stargazing at night :) really calm and cute town, you only hear birds singing in the morning (I had the hostel to myself, there were no other guests), perfect for a night if you are hiking GR 130, kitchen was clean and has all basic cooking equipment but better bring your own food and snacks (you won't find many bars/restaurants on the way)
- Nicola (9/5): Best place to stay on the North coast - Superb.
- Williams (8/5): Very good -
- Adrian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ausandrus (10/5): Exceptional - Nice place and good host
- Evy (8/5): Very good - I arrived quite late and had to call the owner because I could not find the property. He was already asleep (I guess), but nonetheless, he was readily available and asked for a video call to see the surroundings and direct me to the hostel. The hostel was perfectly clean and the bed very comfortable. Everything I could have wished for after a strenuous day of hiking part of the north coast.
- Anonymous (10/5): One of my favorites - This is the only hostel on the northern coast in a very small village. The only service is a small bar that is open Friday to Monday's. This was my 2nd time staying there and i was happy to open that door and be back again.
The hostal has large picture windows to enjoy the views. The rooms are a bit cramped but the beds are comfortable, the hostal is clean, there is a small kitchen with a fridge, microwave and heating plate. The showers are warm and the place is quiet, exactly what you want when you come to an isolated place like this. I was cosy and all alone during my stay while the wind howled throughout the night. It's the perfect place to recharge after a tough days hike, there are steep canyons on either side of the village, whether your coming or going be prepared. The owner is courteous the price is a steal compared to anyplace else nearby. You'll find escape, solitude and comfort in Tablado. There is one bus a day in the morning to and from Puntagorda. Remember to bring food. The only thing I didn't like was leaving
- Juan (8/5): Very good -
- Lore (10/5): Exceptional - What a beautiful place to disconnect a little bit from the world and be surrounded by beautifull nature and friendly people! for me.. so far, the most amazing spot in la Palma! Be prepared though.. there is no shop in the little town, so unless you have a car and can go around, bring everything to eat! On the weekends, from Friday to Monday there is 1 little restaurant nearby that is open, but to eat you have to make reservations. But even during the week..I would really recommend to go and visit el tablado!
- Fateev (10/5): Exceptional - You can eat and look on the ocean
- Nigel (7/5): Good -
- Timo (9/5): Superb - Comfy beds, room temp felt just good. Host was friendly. Remote location with nice view to sea. Shower was tiny and would drip unless closed in a specific way. I didn't use kitchen but it seemed very small too.
- Paolo (7/5): REMOTE - for good and bad. Come WELL STOCKED and enjoy SPECTACULAR views! - The common area is a glassed balcony with some INCREDIBLE views of the village and the ocean, which is worth the stay in itself. This is a remote place, which has disadvantages but also its perks (very peaceful, immersed in nature and local rural life). Spending one or a few nights here is highly recommended, just be informed and come prepared for maximum enjoyment. What should be improved in my view is the clarity of communication on how remote the place is (most guests were surprised by that) as well as on applicable policies of the hostel. It is beautiful to be off the beaten path, but guests DO need to be aware in advance that it is 7 steep Km away from the main road, and that there aren't shops or restaurants in the nearby area which can be relied upon for food and other essentials. PROSPECTIVE GUESTS: STOCK UP AND BRING YOUR OWN SUPPLIES for a comfortable and enjoyable stay at this beautiful place. - Same goes for the pricing: it should be made clear beforehand to prospective guests that pillows, sheets, blankets and towels are NOT included in the price quoted and payable extra if and as needed - The bigger room has two of the bunk beds crammed way too close together, I'd suggest getting rid of one to allow at least minimal space for (and between) guests. Room doors and lockable toilets would be great improvements as well. This place has great potential and an unbelievable location: come well prepared to enjoy it fully!
- Amy (10/5): Exceptional - A cracking location with fantastic views across the ocean and overlooking a charming village
- Joyce (8/5): Excellent value for money and excellent location. - The location was excellent with stunning views. The shower was small but hot and there was a kitchen to make drinks and basic food. It would have been good to know in advance that the village restaurant has closed so that we could have taken food to cook.
- Andrius (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional - A great place stay after a day of hiking to this remote location. It was very clean, the beds were comfortable and the facilities good. The kitchen is adequately stocked with utensils and a small hot plate. There are plenty of tables in a common area with large windows overlooking the beautiful coast. There was a nice cool breeze flowing throughout the place. For the price it's a wonderful value. You must bring your own food as there is only one bar which is often closed so don't forget. The owner was helpful and friendly. It's right on the GR130 hiking trail. There is one bus to and from Puntagorda every day in the morning. I'm going back. A great hike is from LA Zarza on the lp9.2 trail to the GR130 then a long descent into a canyon and a climb up to the village. Bring plenty of water. There was a fountain which was flowing when I passed by. It is 5 euros extra for a pillow, sheets and towel. I don't mind but when you arrive it's already on the bed. Better to leave them off and let client decide whether to use or not.
