Guest Reviews
- Maciej (10/5): Exceptional - Everything super! Fantastic person signiora Sandra! Great place and a pleasure to stay there, felt like home! Take me back there anytime! 😃 Nothing
- Joanne (6/5): Pleasant -
- Martina (7/5): Good - Our room was situated right in front the waterfall street, perfect view from the balcony. Really nice lady at the reception "desk". As it was raining the room was really wet (the roof is ok, just the humidity is in the air and on all the surfaces). There is almost nothing in the kitchen - not even a cooker, just an old electric kettle and a few cups and 2 plates for all the rooms.
- Marchal (9/5): Perfect - Everything perfect
Andrea is very nice
- Somaia (8/5): Very good -
- Markian (8/5): Good value and centrally located. - Good value. Great location right in the old town. Fully equiped common kitchen. Coffee, tea available. Nice balcony next to kitchen. Friendly host. Cafes and restaurants nearby. Very active bus station, if you are traveling by bus. No parking nearby. But there is a free parking lot about a 6-7 minute walk away. The room was cold (early March). Wifi not available in my room on the 2nd floor, but it was avaialble on the 3rd floor (where there is a lounge).
- Janis (8/5): Very good - Very friendly host, she made our day. Location in the heart of the old town. Comfortable bed. Kitchen with basic stuff and a very nice terasse available on third floor. Would like to have more than one chair in the room. Poor wifi coverage in the room. No heater in the room.
- Gideon (9/5): Worth the stay - 1. It was very clean.
2. The host was nice even though she could barely speak English.
3. The kitchen was functional.
4. Located in a historic old town. 1. The Wi-Fi was not working in my room.
2. Flushing the toilet was not working in one of the bathrooms. It has to be done manually with a bucket of water.
3. There's no heating so be ready to embrace the cold especially in the evenings.
- Helin (8/5): Very good -
- Ahmet (10/5): Exceptional - The location has an amazing view.
Our host was very friendly and helpful.
- Sergejs (8/5): Very good - The host was amazing and helpful. Location was great. Bed comfy. It was a but cold during the night.
- Tomas (8/5): Very good - Position, kitchen, No toaster,no windows outside,no parking next to door
- Robert (9/5): Superb -
- Kārlis (8/5): Very good -
- Martin (9/5): Perfect location for staying in Teror for 1-2 nights. - The room could not have been closer to the city center. Perfect location - 10 points without a doubt.
The room was very clean, as well as the shared bathroom. There were also extra blankets to keep you warm during the night. The host was friendly and there were even some fruits in the shared area in the morning :)
Something to keep in mind is that the room is quite spartan for the room size which is quite big. Yet, it still has everything you need to spend 1-2 nights (beds, bedside tables, lamps, clothes rack, a chair, trash bin, extra blankets)
- Robert (10/5): You can not imagine as nice staying in Casa Andrea Teror can be! -
- Julia (7/5): Excellent price-performance ratio for rooms located in the middle of Teror - Casa Andrea is located in the heart of Teror with a fully equipped kitchen, a terrace overlooking the church and a shared bathroom. The contact with the owner was very obliging and easy. The wifi did not work at all during our stay, neither in the room nor the common areas. As depicted in the pictures, the rooms are equipped quite plainly with merely a bed and wardrobe.
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Niall (8/5): Very good - Lovely lady a bit eccentric, nice terrace Annoying time span for check in.
- Mohamad (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lena (9/5): Central stay in Teror - Great location, got coffee and a muffin for breakfast, very friendly host
- Martyn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Piotr (7/5): Perfect location in the center of the old town, next to the main attraction. - The whole house smells of cleanliness, fruits that Sandra offers to guests and flowers, the number of which Sandra increases every day :)) Whatever was needed additionally - Sandra immediately fulfilled the request (hair dryer, broken shower, iron...). And when it rained, Sandra smiled and you didn't have to worry about it raining anymore :)))
Perfect location in the center of the old town, next to the main attraction - close to the shop and bars. It is not possible to park in front of the house, but we have never had a problem with parking in the nearest permitted space. All doors are glass and do not protect against sound. A bit too few tables on the terrace (only 3). It was also very cold, but we were given extra blankets immediately.
But all inconveniences were compensated by Sandra's work and presence.
- Luca (10/5): Exceptional - Didn't know about Teror and I fell in love immediately. Super quiet and beautiful town, the best in Gran Canaria. The house is very beautiful and in the hearth of Teror. A lot of nice cafes and restaurant around.
- Philippa (7/5): Good -
- Gack (8/5): very nice small village with wiew to the mountains - good location
- Laura (9/5): Superb - The hostess was very sweet and the price was very good. It was a full apartment with balcony, kitchen, bathroom and bedroom It was 2 separate beds and they were quite hard
- Juliet (10/5): Exceptional - Extremely friendly host - gave us water and bread. Very central location. She was very helpful, friendly and fun. Not many restaurants but two open in the evening for tapas.
- Sidney (8/5): Very good - Clean, friendly, spacious Unfortunately the hot water in the shower ran out within a very short time.
- Jim (8/5): An excellent choice if you want to visit teror and the surrounding areas - A historic old building set in the heart of the historical town of Teror ,a large room with a shared bathroom and kitchen and terrace area It was a bit cold but warm blankets were supplied and my stay was the middle of January
- Ľubomír (7/5): Good -
- Maks (8/5): Very good - Nice and helpful host. She really tried to make your stay more convenient
- Krzysztof (3/5): A very cold and humid place that smells like your grandmother's wardrobe - The accommodation suffers from significant temperature and humidity issues, with a musty, dated atmosphere throughout.
The parking situation in the area is extremely challenging and frustrating.
The room design lacks privacy, with glass-paneled doors allowing full visibility into other guests' spaces.
The building's poor soundproofing means even minor noises are clearly audible throughout. Perhaps most inconvenient is the plumbing system - guests must wait approximately 10 minutes for hot water to reach the shower.
I cannot recommend this property due to these fundamental comfort and design issues.
- Rupert (7/5): Good - Clean apartment very close to square of charming little town Cold and thin blankets meant we did not sleep well.
- Tiiu (10/5): Nice and clean flat in the centre of old town. Everything was as promised! - Location was perfect!
- Tomas (7/5): Very nice location and host. Poorly equipped but very clean facilities. - The room were very spacious and clean. The room and apartment were very poorly equipped and not so cosy.
- Holer (8/5): Very good -
- Aritri (10/5): Hidden gem of Teror - lovely place in Teror, exceptionally kind and caring host who gave me everything I needed :)
- Guido (10/5): excelente - wonderful stay nada
- Magdaléna (8/5): Very good - It is perfectly situated. Cold water in the shower.
- Andre (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (7/5): Good -
- Mara (10/5): Exceptional - The host was very helpful and kind! The location perfect, the room spacious and the bed comfortable!! Would recommend spending at least 2 nights if not more. A mop in the bathroom would be perfect.
- Lisa (4/5): Disappointing - The location was good and the room was adequate. There wasn´t a terrace, as advertised, and the place felt strange with an unwelcoming atmosphere.
- Dominik (6/5): Pleasant - Nice location within Teror. Comfortable mattresses. Somehow we were only able to access the common kitchen when other guests opened it for us; we were not sure why we can't access it regularly.
The host was polite but only speaks Spanish and Italian, not English like stated on Booking.
Check-in was by photography of the personal ID card - I didn't feel that's right due to data protection.
- Tim (6/5): Nice place owner was helpful and friendly but thenissue with the hot water was not sorted. And no one about when checke - The location. 2 days running no hot water in shower.
- Gareth (9/5): Superb - We are a couple and had booked a room with a private bathroom at the hostel Casa Andrea.
We were lucky enough to have room 1 at the top, it had 2 bedrooms a little kitchen and shower room.
All the rooms and linen were spotless and the views over the rooftops of Teror to the surrounding hills just perfect. Nothing we didn't like about Casa Andrea or Teror.
Just some advice, the hostel is right in the heart of the old quarter of Teror, if you have a car (like us) parking can be tricky and you must expect to carry your bags to the hostel.
Try parking on Calle del Castano (one way road) just along from the Cisterciense Monastery, opposite the top of Calle Alcalde Isaac Dominguez and walk your bags down (some steps).
- Marita (9/5): The best week for a long time. - The best location, Mr Andrea was very helpful. Will go back one day. Thete are not anything I dodn’t like.
- Eden (8/5): Very good - Andrea was really nice. The room was big and the bed was comfortable. The location is right in the middle of the city center. There wasn't
wifi
- Tadas (5/5): Central but not for people who like quiet evenings - Well it is central - you are in the middle of the village but with that comes a price (see below). An authentic home, somewhat original experience for me for renting a room only. Fine for someone who is into ascetic experiences. :-) You can hear all other tenants but luckily for me everyone was rather mindful and there was minimal door slamming or late excursions. You have to park further and walk here for about - 5-10 minutes. I rented a double room and my windows were facing a small street - cars, restaurants - was way too loud for me with open window, this was not a place to rest for me. Beds were uncomfortable - hard, room was super basic. Shower ok but no kitchen or anything else. I like quiet and should have stayed away from the town and only come to visit and sight-see it. Check in only within two hour window.
- Paula (1/5): No hot water - The location We could not shower because when you tried to plug the water heater there was a power failure in the whole apartment, so there was no hot water. Very sketchy. The owner didn't answer when we tried to reach out to find a solution.
- Mr. (9/5): Superb - In Teror centre, close to the largest church and places to eat. The apartment was spacious - we were just 2 people but it has an extra bedroom. 4 single beds. Some shower wash and books left over from previous occupants. Good fridge freezer. Kitchen with 2 electric hobs lots of cupboards but no kettle, no water glasses, no knives and forks, no way to heat food or hot drinks. We bought a small pan to heat up water for tea and coffee.
- Jasper (7/5): Good - Excellent location Basic room, late check in
- Scott (6/5): Pleasant -
- Felix (1/5): Very very bad value for money - It was clean and right in the city center 1) the kitchen is a joke. There is literly just a fridge inside. No plates no cups no nothing.
2) the windows are antik and not insolated so if the trafik starts in the morning you are awake ( see the gaps on the foto)
3) the warm water did not work / had to shower cold
4) the electricity had a shortcut multiple times
5) there were no proper blankets so it was ***** cold in the night
6) for this price it schould at least have working wifi ( but its in the discription that it does not. So its more me to blame for not proper reading)
- Spincic (7/5): Good -
- Veronica (8/5): Very good -
- Curtis (9/5): Amazing views on terrace, clean rooms, nice owners. Great for the price. - The kitchen has all utensils, plates cups pans pots etc. fridge to put things in. Balcony was a very big terrace with amazing views of the mountains and street. Owner was very helpful with any questions. Nice and quiet on a night. For the price this is amazing! Shower pressure is very bad and takes ages to get warm. We were only given 1 roll of toilet paper for the 2 of us for 4 nights we were there, it was not enough. Also rooms are not cleaned the entire stay, no fresh towels or sheets etc, not sure if you have to request a room clean?
- Marie (7/5): Good -
- Ahmhths (7/5): Good - An amazing location, comfortable beds. Great size of the room. There was a kitchen too, but with no kitchen accessories. There was no air-conditioning. No hot water to shower, only for a minute or two.
- Jonathan (3/5): Noisy with disturbed sleep - Expensive and noisy
- Lars (3/5): Poor - The establishment was very clean, balcony with a beautiful view but most importantly I met two lovely people from Ukraine, Yustine and her mother. Unless Casa Andrea make some changes I would consider this as a rip-off.
It's the most expensive hostel, hotel, B&B, I've ever stayed at compared to what I got for the price.
I paid Euro 55/night and what did I get for that amount?
Lousy check-in. I could only check-in between 15-18h unless I paid an extra Euro 8.
A cold, cold room. Cold furnitures, cold mattress, cold pillow, cold sheets. Probably the cheapest 100 percent polyester blankets on this planet. Only cold water in the tap in the bathroom. And, only 2-3 minutes of warm water in the shower.
- Qirong (6/5): Could be better - There's a roof, bed is comfortable No wifi available in 1st floor, only 2nd floor, and my room is on the 1st...
Super thin wall, can hear everything and it's right next to the street, so lots of noise, from either outside the building or inside
Very cold in the room, blankets are too thin
- Lewis (3/5): Poor - Location Very cold, only a thin blanket to cover. Shower water warmth lasted 20 seconds
- Ana (8/5): Comfortable room! - The location really central, but it's also a really small village, so everything is central. Room was big and clean There was no trashcan in the bathroom and the shower didn't had much pressure
- Chris&cass (8/5): Great room in middle of town. - Great place in the middle of town. The caretaker lady was very friendly. The room was basic but comfortable. There was even a small kitchen for a fridge and hot water. The shared veranda was great for having a drink. As per many similar places, the accommodation was loud and echoey and light gets into the room from the corridor.
- Christina (8/5): Very good - No breakfast available. You can get at Cafeteria Majocaya at the calle Real or Bar Nuevo Iris, but they open later.
The restaurant La Gaveta de cristo, one street away are open dinner, most other places just for lunch. Please add extra blankets to the room. It was chilly. Add a sign on the mailbox that you are at Casa Andrea Teror.
It could be possible to stop briefly at the corner to load and unload. Please add to the descripton that it is located in the same house as restaurante la Alacena at the corner Calle de la Diputacion and Caje nueva and opposite to the water steps. Then it is easier to find. Add info about parking at a parking house on GC21 nesr Plaza de Sintes or parking close to Cafeteria Majocaya on the right off GC21.
- Amber (9/5): Lovely clean apartment near the centre. - Really welcoming staff. A bit difficult to find the right door, and figure out which bell to push, but once we were there the welcome couldn’t have been more friendly.
Very clean place. Perfect for one night, if staying for longer some kitchen utensils might be good (there are none).
- Theo (10/5): Great experience. I would stay there again. - The location of this place was perfect. Rooms were spotless clean. My bed and pillow were very comfortable. My balcony had a beautiful view. The owner was welcoming, accomodating and friendly. I could have done with a kettle.
Perhaps the bathroom door could be improved as it was noisy.
- Molly (8/5): Very good -
- Petja (9/5): Nice rooms in the old town - Great location in the center of the old town. I enjoyed local folklore music party on the main square with kind locals.
- Kaaruson (8/5): Very good -
- José (7/5): Agradable y tranquila -
- Baptiste (9/5): Superb - We had a wonderful and warm welcome, it was really nice to stay at this place! Justine received us directly when we arrived, she has shown us the facilities? She was there every morning, greeting good morning and asked if we wanted her to clean the room!
- Anna (10/5): personal touche by Justine and her mom - the hostesses, Justine and her mother were absolutely fantastic hosts to us! they welcomed us in a personal way, made sure we had everything we needed and made sure everyone was clean. we felt very welcome.
- Andrej (10/5): Exceptional - The location of the accomodation in the centre of Teror is absolutely great. We also liked very nicely renovated rooms and comfortable beds. And thanks to Justina and her mother we felt less like tourists and little more like home.
