Guest Reviews
- Jonas (9/5): Very good location and overall very nice stay -
- Tommy (9/5): AWESOME Stay in Rome’s Greta’s Charming Suite! - We had a 3-day stay at Greta’s Charming Suite. We wanted to spend time in Rome prior to taking a cruise. We chose Greta’s because of its location. It is located right in the middle of Trastevere where there are a lot of bars and restaurants. So, we couldn’t had made a better choice. Cleanliness of the place was tops, had a fully equipped kitchen including a Nespresso coffee machine with pods!! The apartment decor was modern and very stylish. Our host, Jessica, was excellent. Her communication was superb starting from emails prior to the travel time, texting & phone calls once we got to the Rome airport and into the apartment. She received us at the location and explained all the apartment’s features. Very thorough and thoughtful!! We really commend her helpfulness!! Overall, our experience was excellent. If you want to be close to all the Rome sightseeing locations and want to spend time going for dinner and a few drinks at night, close to your lodging location, we highly recommend this place!! Everything was excellent!!
- S (8/5): Great location - The apartment is in a fantastic location - just step outside and you have restaurants and bars galore to choose from. The apartment has everything that you could need and was a great oasis to come back to after a day of exploring. The bed wasn’t very comfortable, and anytime one person moves, it would jolt the other side. The bathroom is very dark and it’s difficult to keep water contained. Overall it is a sweet little apartment and I would definitely stay again
- Emma (9/5): Amazing stay at an amazing location! - The space itself and the location The shower could be better
- Pamela (10/5): Exceptional - location was perfect! communication was outstanding!! will book again as well as recommend to others.
- Diana (9/5): Superb -
- Silke (10/5): Exceptional - We booked this Suite but got an upgrade to Amelie Guesthouse a km further down in Trastevere. The appartment was perfectly located near de train station en close to restaurants. It’s newly renovated and is just perfect! Special Thanks to our host Jessica who was super friendly en helpfull during our stay ❤️
- Thenotcool (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was really clean and cozy, also Greta was so nice and always helpfull, the thing I liked the most was the perfect location near the living city but not too near the main road so the noise is not so bad, also the projector was super romantic combined with rome at night made a perfect combination, the place is located near the shops and best restaurants, bars and live music, I really recommend if you are looking for a lovely romantic stay
- Patrizia (9/5): Lovely location and cute apartment. - Great location and room was really cute. 3 flights of stairs and bed was hard. Also would have like a couple of extra pillows and some coffee pods.
- Christina (10/5): A quaint boutique apartment in the heart of Rome's soul. - I absolutely loved the design, and the circle bed was so cute! This is an excellent spot for individuals or couples looking to work remotely - near all of the best dining spots and locals to soak in the atmosphere of Trastevere. The facilities are well-equipped, and the responsiveness of the hosts helped guide our stay each step of the way.
We look forward to staying with you soon again!
- Lillian (8/5): Amazing location, cool funky apartment - - Location is incredible, next to all the bars and restaurants in the funkiest district in Rome. Definitely try the natural wine bar directly opposite the apartment!
- The apartment is a great size, big bathroom and large bed/living area
- Nicely furnished, round bed was unusual but very comfortable
- The projector screen was a nice bonus
- Host was great and very helpful, particularly with recommendations on restaurants in the area - The electronic key system used is convenient and I understand why they use it, but we had a lot of issues connecting and sometimes it would take us up to 10 minutes to enter the apartment which was very frustrating, especially when it was raining outside and we got soaking wet trying to get the door to open
- The 'designer' shower absolutely flooded every time we showered, and the 'designer' taps kept turning themselves off
- Whilst the location is excellent, do expect a lot of street noise. We slept with ear plugs every evening
- The light switches are incredibly confusing, most of the time we had no idea how to turn any of the lights/fan in the bathroom on or off. It might be helpful to label these
- More than one toilet roll would have been good as we had to buy this ourselves
- Rami (2/5): You won’t be able to sleep. Not with the money. - Location is nice I am tired of hosts ignoring reviews. This was one of my worst experiences. I couldn’t SLEEP AT ALL. There is no sound isolation whatsoever, it’s impossible to sleep. I also didn’t appreciate the fact that host asked me to carry garbage 7 mins walk. Some sockets where not working, iron not working, no tissue. Definitely not worth the money
- Dimitris (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment is in the heart of trastevere with a ton of options on food and drinks.
- Bronagh (7/5): Good - Location Apartment is good value in a great location. The contact Jessica was communicative and accessible prior to and during our stay. It was a real bonus to have access to a washing machine too. The Nuki key app, however, which must be downloaded to access the apartment was incredibly frustrating. It drained the battery on both phones which meant we were always conscious of having enough battery so that we could get back in after a day's sightseeing using Google maps and taking photos.
- Ajay (9/5): Superb -
- Tohme (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sawyer (10/5): In the heart of Rome! Everything is walkable 20 minutes! restaurants right outside your door! - Modern, clean, central location in the heart of Trastevere! Lot’s to do! Would stay again longer next time! Na
- Olga (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and new The door. Very hard to close
- Anoop (6/5): Good, but could have better with minor design changes - The apartment itself was cute and good for short stays. Restaurants are all within walking distance, some very popular ones too. Host was very responsive and was very accommodating during our checkout when we got delayed trying to check out. The projector TV was fun for sure. While the apartment itself was cute, there were a lot of design flaws.
1) The bathroom does not ventilate well
2) The floor is sloped away from the drain so any water that does not fall within the shower area flows out away from the bathroom towards the room
3) The water cannot physically stay within the shower area because there is no curtain or closing door. There is a small glass partition but because of the force of the water, pretty much 50% of the water falls outside the shower area. And this is even after adjusting the force of water.
4) If you adjust the flow of water to be less harsh (it's quite painful if you're not mentally prepared), the tap just shuts off.
5) If the tap shuts off halfway through a hot shower, be prepared to get a blast of cold water when you turn it on. This is not ideal at all in winter when we travelled.
6) The main door is old fashioned and looks great but it takes significant effort to close the door from outside while locking it. It has one small handle higher up and the keyhole is close to the bottom. It's physically challenging to close the door on cold days and it usually is easier with one person pulling the door and the second person trying to lock the door while pulling it close with the big key.
7) It's not very obvious on booking.com but this apartment is on the 3rd floor (ground + 3) and if you've got bags, good luck with your workout after your long journey getting to Rome. Usually on Airbnb, things that are NOT there are marked as well and this is the fault of Booking.com and not the host.
8) And lastly, the floor is very thin. We received a note from our neighbour below us to walk softly and we soon realised that we had to tip-toe to make no noise. We could hear the neighbour above too and it could have been solved if the floor had some carpets as that would help absorb footsteps. But this apartment has none.
All of this can be fixed up and it's a great place if fixed up.
- Vitor (9/5): Superb -
- Michelle (8/5): Perfect location, good host - The location of it was perfect for exploring local area. Priscilla was attentive. We did not use the kitchen facilities but having the washing machine was great. The bed is comfortable enough, although it does catapult one person upwards when the other one gets off the bed which was quite amusing. The apartment is on a noisy street but that did not prevent us from sleeping ever. I would return to the for sure. Air conditioning was great. The bird poo on the patio floor by the washing machine could do with being removed.
- Alex (9/5): A beautiful place to stay in a beautiful part of Rome. Would we stay again? DEFINITELY! - We found Apartment Greta spacious and fully equipped. The living room/ bedroom had a huge TV projector screen that was great for quiet nights in, Windows overlooking the street outside, the kitchen was well equipped with a washing machine on the small veranda and a drying area that never failed to dry our washing. A very large walk in shower was great and refreshing.
The apartment situated in vibrant Trastevere, with it's many bars and restaurants on the doorstep, was overall quiet and we were never kept awake by the hustle and bustle of the close by nightlife. The apartment was within 5 minutes walk from the pedestrian bridge Ponte Sisto that leads to a nearby gluten free supermarket, excellent food if you need those dietary needs. It should be noted that the apartment is up 3 flights of stairs, only a problem if you have mobility issues, but being on the 3rd floor does keep you away from the general noise. Also needed was more detailed instructions on how to use the TV projector and controller.
- Anton (9/5): Superb -
- Vicky (7/5): fantastic location , be aware Trastevere goes late into the night . - looks great location was fun just a few teething problems . needed a bit more instruction eg manual around tech . (big screen and washing machine)
shower drains into bathroom so def need more towels to mop up , was a prob over 3 nights. would also be handy to have a soap holder in shower.
didn’t expect to have to go buy toilet paper at this price point and one of the coffee cups was broken . no coffee and very limited tea provided , again at this price point not what we expected.
lighting was confusing in such a dark space . all easy fixes .
