- isaac (1/5): Poor - That I arrived at the location and I knocked on the door and there was no answer and I believe I have been scammed

- Guest (1/5): It’s a scam I didn’t stay there and the people at the house were smoking weed and the bed - Do not book it is a scam Did not like the wet mattres that was left in the floor covered in seaman stains
- David (2/5): Gritty charm of a crack den squat - The only benefits was the price and off street parking. If you're after a genuine London experience – the kind that captures the gritty charm of a crack den squat – this is the place for you. Otherwise, run. Fast.
I had an extremely disappointing and frankly surreal experience at The Village Rooms. The property was in an appalling state — dirty, chaotic, and totally unfit to be listed as accommodation. I only stayed because I couldn’t arrange anything else and had to get to work. Otherwise, I’d have been out the door in seconds.
Cleanliness? Non-existent. The carpets looked like they hadn’t seen a hoover since before the pandemic. The bathroom was grim – no soap, had to ask for toilet roll, and hot water was hit and miss. I ended up using a bed covering as makeshift curtains, since the windows were bare.
My room? No bed. Just a grubby mattress dumped on the floor. You could call it “minimalist” if you’re being generous. The heat inside the property was unbearable, made worse by the multiple fridges and freezers buzzing away constantly in the kitchen. A poor dog was shut inside all day in these sweltering conditions – distressing for anyone with a conscience.
Security was laughable. The front door didn’t lock. A secondary door looked like it had been kicked in at some point and never properly repaired. Strangers were wandering in and out freely. Not exactly reassuring.
The shower? Only operable with a pair of pliers. Not an exaggeration. Honestly felt like a challenge off a reality survival show.
To sum up: this place isn’t just below standard – it’s a health hazard, a security risk, and quite possibly a scam. Avoid like the plague. Unless, of course, you want the full “authentic London squat” experience – in which ca
- Wilkie (1/5): I've never been in a crack den. But I imagine this is what it must be like. - The house itself was disgustingly filthy. My room was just a double matress on the floor. No curtains. No toilet roll. No towel. A single sofa cushion as a pillow.
The toilet seat was smaller than the toilet bowl and so sitting on it was a challenge. The carpet was filthy and had obviously not be vacuumed for months, I had no confidence that my bed sheets would be clean. Thankfully it was a hot day so I used my duvet as curtains and slept in my clothes and never went back.
- Carlo (1/5): ATTENZIONE la proprietaria é una ladra/ Attention the owner is a thief - Nothing/ Niente It was a nightmare. Please DON'T book any room. They are stealing from you. When I arrived during the day there was nothing. I waited a lot, but there was anyone. I talked with people that lived in that neighborhood and every person confirmed that the owner is a thief. They said that this situation is happened also with other guests, in the past. Please, don't lose your money and STAY AWAY from this palace and from the owner. I will everything I can to denounce this situation.
- Shameem (1/5): I didn’t stay there because not secure and not clean. - Very bad. There are not secure room, no room key. Very dirty and not clean. Therefore I didn’t stay there and I request money back. I didn’t like anything there.

- Paul (1/5): This accommodation should not be listed in any hosting site. - The host re-funded my tariff The hostess was totally un-prepared for my visit.
- Azemaye (7/5): Good -
- Price- (3/5): Poor - The area The punctuality of checking us in, 5 hours to late when your paying for that day.
- Fereshteh (1/5): Awful - Nothing It was so dirty without any facilities even a handwash liquid!
- Wawrzacz (10/5): Exceptional - The Village Rooms is located in a quiet and peaceful area. Perfect for relaxation. The host is guest-oriented and does everything to make our stay satisfactory. There is nothing missing in the facility, a huge and beautiful kitchen equipped with all the necessary things. A bathroom with a bathtub for those who like longer baths after a long day. There is also a shower option to freshen up quickly. The beds are equipped with comfortable mattresses. The value for money is simply great. I recommend.
- Cristina (1/5): Horrible and a rip off - Nothing The room was not ready and they were not expecting me though I had access to thw property as it was not locked.Waited 2 hours for sb to turn up with some bed linen and a towel, no blanket, and they did not bother to give me an update while waiting.the room had a pest control device and the hot water did not work so could not even shower.AVOID
