Julie (9/5): Unexpectedly beautiful stay in the center of the city - airport adjacent with easy transport - This was a beautiful location, pictures don’t even do it justice. We stayed here our last night before flying out and wish we had more time to relax on the beautiful property and by the pool. The breakfast was a full service meal in the very nice restaurant with a quaint patio. Would highly recommend this hotel especially at the amazing price As other reviews mention it’s off a main road which you can hear occasionally but did not keep us up at night.

Annalise (6/5): Nice hotel but out of the way - The rooms were comfy and modern. We had a long day of travelling so we were grateful there was an onsite restaurant. We had dinner and breakfast there. Breakfast was very nice and the staff were very kind. My family enjjoyed the onsite hiking trails. My family got sick from the dinner we ate at the restaurant. There were no other reasonable options nearby for a meal.

Hotel jest położony przy ulicy odgrodzony wysokim murem jednakże w naszym pokoju nr 3 było słychać przejeżdżające samochody. Śniadania w formie menu - dania do wyboru bardzo fajna forma. Ceny w restauracja atrakcyjne (jak na Kostarykę). Basen w porządku. Pokoje bardzo czyste. Wszystko w należytym porządku. Obsługa perfekcyjna. Hałas od ulicy. Pokoje które mają okna od ulicy będą głośne

Marije (9/5): Sfeervol en Prachtige locatie! - Boetiek stijl hotel met een prachtige tuin! Bij mijn boeking had ik niet gezien dat ik door een baby als derde kind een extra kamer kreeg. Hierdoor lagen we als gezin verspreid, wat niet nodig geweest was.

Thank you - The first impression was what a beautiful setting the Villa has surrounded by wonderful trees and casual gardens. Our room was a delight and always cleaned and tidied immaculately. Then the staff who were always smiling, always helpful, always cheerful. It was a delight to know them. The restaurant settings (inside and outside) and menus (and food) were equally wonderful. If you are a birdwatcher (I am) the gardens provide plenty of activity and I highly recommend it to birders. After our week away exploring the pacific coast we decided to come back to the Villa to be greeted like old friends. We scored the Villa and the staff among the very best we experienced travelling for 2 months in South and Central America and thoroughly recommend to everyone!!! Thank You. Honestly? No doubt individuals will have different priorities but we gave it it 10 out of 10.

Jens (7/5): - Flughafennähe, dadurch für die erste oder letzte Nacht geeignet. Das parkähnliche Unterkunftsgelände lädt zu Erkundungsgängen ein. Der nächtliche Straßenlärm war teilweise unerträglich. Es liegt an der Motorbremse der Sattelzüge, die auf der angrenzenden Gefällstrecke zum Einsatz kommen und ohrenbetäubenden Lärm verursachen. Wir hatten ein Zimmer in Richtung Straße; ob die abgewandten Zimmer leiser sind, kann ich nicht sagen.

Convenient to airport. Very kind, attentive staff. Nice rooms. Very nice pool and relaxation decks and shared spaces. Food is great. Neighborhood around is a bit rough, would not walk off property. Loud traffic due to busy road adjacent. Turning on AC 1-2 hours before occupation of booked rooms would make a huge difference (vs. walking into a hot room when guests might already be hot).

And what we especially liked is how well equipped the hotel is to accommodate travelers coming from or going to the airport. At our last day in Costa Rica, we could check out at 12 and we could stay the rest of the day in and around the hotel to wait for our flight. There's a living room with books, games et cetera where we could hang around. The room itself (family room) lacked a bit of charm (and was a bit away from the main hacienda), but the beds were great.

Julia (10/5): - Ich hatte einen wunderbaren Aufenthalt in der Villa San Ignacio und somit einen tollen Start in meine Costa Rica Reise. Das Anwesen liegt ruhig und ist sehr gepflegt. Aber vor allem die Mitarbeiter sind sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit. Ich möchte mich an dieser Stelle noch einmal bei Sergio bedanken, der mir unglaublich geholfen hat, meine lokale SIM Karte zum Laufen zu bringen. Ich würde jederzeit wieder dort übernachten.

Hans (10/5): San Ignacio is een geweldige villa/hotel om te verblijven voor een zeer redelijke prijs. - De ligging aan de rand van San José was uitstekend als uitvalsbasis voor onze doorreis. Het personeel was geweldig vriendelijk en attent. Op het terrein is zelfs een korte trail door een stukje oerwoud mogelijk. Het zwembad en heerlijke eten in het restaurant maken het plaatje compleet. Bovendien is het terrein zeer goed bewaakt. Niets, we zouden hier direct weer voor kiezen.
