- Michael (2/5): The townhouse's poor design and substandard upkeep provided zero value for money. - The townhouse had good natural light and heating was very efficient. Check-in: Access instructions were vague: "The garage enters from another street: Kambrook Rd." We spent an hour trying to access the house due to insufficient details.
Keys: We received one key for a booking of three adults, explained by "one house, one key."
Carport Access: One remote was inadequate for managing two cars, complicating daily access.
Cleanliness: The apartment's walls were heavily marked with grime and dust, indicating long-term neglect. The exterior carport area was also littered with weeds and rubbish. Used fake eyelash beside my bed wasn't pleasant either.
Cooking Facilities: The available pans were old, damaged, and filthy, with peeling Teflon. This was the poorest and dirtiest condition we’ve encountered in any accommodation.
Kitchen Layout: Extremely cramped with only one power outlet and no space for dishes or food storage, severely limiting functionality.
Workspace: No designated work area; we used the dining table but had to stretch a 10-meter power cord across the room due to no nearby outlets.
Bathrooms: All showers were poorly designed with no storage for toiletries; we had to place soap on the floor, which was very unsanitary. We fixed broken shower head with masking tape.
Towels: No hand towels or face washers were provided in the bathrooms.
Power Outage: During use of the toaster, a power outage occurred; the switchboard, hidden behind a bedroom door, was found only after extensive searching and confusion. Owner had no idea where switchboard was.
Beds: The mattresses were uncomfortably hard. By the third night, we discovered a hand towel mysteriously placed under the sheet.
After reporting the initial issues, the owner supplied new pans and extension cords and attempted a partial wall cleaning.
