• Maxime (10/5): Expérience parfaite d’auberge, on ne peut rêver mieux dans une Guesthouse - Tout tout tout! Si on avait pu mettre 11 on l’aurait fait. Accueil incroyable, cadre de rêve au milieu des montagnes et une chaleureuse famille Albanaise aux petits soins, qui sert des dîners et petits déjeuners à tomber par terre. De tous nos voyages c’est la meilleure auberge en tout point. Un peu écarté du centre faites le détour, impossible d’être déçu. Bravo à Rafael et toute la famille pour cette expérience parfaite, on ne voulait plus partir Rien, les conditions étaient parfaites dans une ferme de montagne très bien entretenue

• Chabeha (10/5): An Absolute Fairytale Stay in the Mountains! - Everything about Molla Guest House was exceptional. Nestled slightly outside the main village center, it offers a peaceful, authentic retreat with absolutely breathtaking mountain views. The property beautifully blends a traditional stone "kulla" character with newly renovated, modern, and spotless rooms—the beds were incredibly comfortable! It is about a 20 to 30-minute walk from the very center of Theth, which ensures peace and quiet but requires a bit of planning if you don't have a car (though the family is incredibly helpful with everything). Generous, hearty breakfast is very good. It’s also the perfect starting point for local hikes.

• Marja (10/5): Fantastisch guesthouse - Wat een geweldig guesthouse. Heerlijk ontbijt met eigengemaakte producten. We hebben hier ook twee keer in de avond gegeten en ook dit was heel erg goed. De jongens in de bediening zijn gastvrij en spreken goed Engels. De kamer zelf en badkamer waren brandschoon. Wij verbleven in de 3-persoonskamer met eigen zitje/ balkon. Ook de interactie met de andere gasten vond ik erg leuk. Iedereen helpt elkaar als er vragen zijn over de diverse hikes en uiteraard ook het personeel van Molla beantwoordt alle vragen. Zeer prettige ongedwongen sfeer. Eigenlijk helemaal niks, houden zo!

Iedere morgen vers ontbijt, bij mooi weer buiten geserveerd om te genieten van de geweldige omgeving. Wij hebben zelf iedere avond in Teth gegeten maar ze bieden ook diner aan. De gastvrijheid van de familie is erg leuk en hartelijk, we hebben o.a. een erg leuke tijd gehad met Mikel en Rafael. Was voor ons echt een meerwaarde. Vanuit de achtertuin is de Valbona Pass hike goed te starten. We waren wat sceptisch over de hoge beoordeling, of dit wel kon kloppen. Maar dit is nu geheel weggenomen en meer dan terecht gebleken. Gratis water bij avond eten maar ook als we spelletjes speelden. Uitgebreid ontbijt. Lekker avond eten. Lichte gordijnen daardoor vroeg wakker. Last van mieren op kamer en in huiskamer. Vieze handdoeken werden niet opgeruimd en bed niet gemaakt wellicht omdat we maar 2 overnachtingen hadden? Verder geen last van want als we gevraagd hadden werd het meteen opgelost. Wel genoeg handdoeken voor 2 dagen.

Only small thing is the curtains don't close very good and don't block out the sun. We don't mind to wake up early but if you want to sleep in a little bit or go to sleep early then that's a bit hard.

We truly loved the conversations we had with both Mikel and Rafael, where we could ask questions about their lives and discuss hot topics and life in Albania. Those memories are the highlights of our experience in Theth, and possibly our entire trip. The food in the restaurant is excellent and the experience at Molla Guesthouse will give you an authentic experience that you can’t find at most accommodations. I highly recommend the Molla Guesthouse for your travels in the area. You won’t regret it and you’ll be surrounded by a caring, local family. 10/10 stars

• Marie-Line (9/5): Super séjour au milieu des montagnes - Le logement de Molla est sur un plateau avant d’arriver au centre de theth. La vue est sublime. Le petit déjeuner à l’extérieur est un super moment de bonheur au soleil. C’est un bon point de départ pour randonner dans la vallée. Les oreillers sont un peu durs.

Molla guest house est magnifique et se situe sur les hauteurs de theth, comprenez que vous etes a 30/40 min du centre. Mais la bonne nouvelle, c est que vous etes loin du centre, dans un espace calme, avec une vue a couper le soufle et tenue par une famille trés accueillante et professionnel. Je n ai jamais aussi bien dormi que dans leur établissement. Les chambres etant bien isolé, spacieuse et magnifiques, donnant sur les montagnes enneigés. Mais ce n est pas tout, la cuisine est de loin tout aussi incroyable que la qualité du logement. Rien qu'a l odeur qui se dégage le soir des cuisines, je vous défie de ne pas rester pour déguster leurs plats préparer avec amour. On s y sent comme a la maison et pour cela, je tiens à remercier a toute l équipe de Molla Guest House, nous reviendrons avec grand plaisir. Ne pas pouvoir rester plus longtemps..

The location is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by stunning nature, and it was a perfect place for a family trip. The family who runs the guesthouse is incredibly warm and welcoming, making us all feel at home right away. The food was great — the lamb, chicken soup, and antipasti are all highly recommended and truly delicious. The breakfast is also very generous and varied, offering a great start to the day for both adults and kids. I would definitely recommend this guesthouse to families visiting Theth. Nothing

• Nuckols (10/5): Stunning guest house with amazing views and hospitality, worth more than what we paid. - The Molla Guest house was by far one of my favorite places I’ve stayed at during my time abroad. The views were gorgeous, the experience is authentic and worth more than the money we paid. Albania is such an underrated country, the hospitality is amazing, the nature is beautiful, the people are kind and the culture is fascinating. The food at Molla was excellent, the rooms were clean, the staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome, even offering us free breakfast after we checked out even when breakfast time had ended. We went mid April and it was perfect weather for hiking. We seemed to be the only Americans staying at the time and are suprised more haven’t discovered this gem of a place. We hope to come back one day to our new favorite country Albania. Nothing everything was perfect

• Alexandra (10/5): - Molla’s Guesthouse is such a warm and welcoming, family-run place. From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with genuine smiles that instantly made us feel at home. After completing a long hike, we arrived feeling exhausted, but they made us feel comfortable straight away—even taking care of our washing immediately, which was such a thoughtful touch. The views are absolutely breathtaking, and it’s a truly peaceful and beautiful spot to enjoy breakfast. The next day, we wanted to visit the Blue Eye, and Rafael kindly offered us a lift—something we were incredibly grateful for after our Valbona–Theth hike the day before, as it would have been too much for us otherwise. He also gave us clear directions to walk to the waterfall from the Blue Eye and later picked us up from the town. His kindness didn’t stop there—he even called the transfer company to arrange collection directly from the guesthouse rather than the town, saving us a 30-minute walk. We truly loved our stay here. Thank you for showing us such genuine kindness and hospitality throughout.
• Barbara (10/5): - Staff were super friendly helpful and kind. Food was excellent. Great breakfast especially if you are going on a hike it's needed. A new puppy arrived while we were there we were asked to name her. Molly she made the stay more enjoyable. A little far out of the village. But if you are going to hike that shouldn't be a problem.

• Amelia (10/5): A Charming stay - What a beautiful place, It had the perfect balance between a Charming Family run guest house and a luxury stay. The bedrooms were well designed and had amazing views. The family were lovely, including their little cousin who was helping out for the holidays, what a hard working little lad! Breakfast was great! And the Dinners were very tasty! The walk to town is 20-30 min walk, having a car is handy. Would definitely recommend and stay again! Thank you Molla Family
• Adam Brian (10/5): - If you're travelling to Theth over the awful SH21, you must stay here. It is a small family run home, absolutely immaculate, with the best breakfast we had while staying in Albania. Can't recommend enough!

• Aleksander (9/5): Overall, though, it was a very pleasant stay and we enjoyed it a lot. 😊 - Very friendly and helpful staff — they were genuinely responsive and made the stay feel welcoming. The location is excellent, with beautiful mountain views and a very peaceful atmosphere. The house itself feels authentic and full of character, which made the experience even more special. Breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning. A couple of minor downsides: the Wi-Fi was quite weak, and there was no shampoo provided in the shower.

• Kathleen (10/5): Super 2 days in the mountains - definitely will be back! - Perfect location nestled within the Theth mountains, ideal for exploring the attractions around the area. Host is an amazing guy running the whole show on his own with his side-kick, his younger cousin and the rest of the family doing the rest. Slightly small room for a family of 4 with 2 kids, but not a deal breaker

Food was traditional with hearty portions for the majority. Views are exceptional. Aldi, the young boy who helps the family business was a treasure. Nothing.

Das Zimmer hatte einen wunderschönen Ausblick. Das Abendessen, wie auch das Frühstück waren unfassbar lecker! Für uns das beste Essen in Albanien.

• Kasëmi (10/5): - Our stay at this guesthouse in Theth was wonderful. The location is fantastic, definitely one of the best in Theth. The family’s hospitality was very warm and welcoming and Rafael made our stay even more special. The rooms were cozy, clean, and newly renovated inside a traditional old kulla, with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The living room with the fireplace quickly became our favorite place to gather in the evenings. The food was excellent, mostly homemade with local products and very tasty. We especially appreciated that part of our group was fasting during Ramadan, and the hosts kindly prepared breakfast for us at suhoor time, which meant a lot to us.
• Gabriella (10/5): A perfect stay - Such a treat to have stayed at Molla Guest House. The superb location, above the city center, allows a privilege view and a precious quietness. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfy mattress and planty hot water for showers. We loved the decorations. Food is exquisite with lots of homemades and local products and very generous portions. We went in October so when it was too cold outside we hanged in the dining room by the fireplace, it was delightful and cozy. Best of all was the staff who provided an excellent service and made us feel very welcomed. They are kind people and made our stay so pleasant we can't wait to go back! Free parking and WiFi available. Absolutely recommend, thank you! 😁
