Guest Reviews
- Emily (8/5): - We really liked being surrounded by nature. Unfortunately, there was no Wi-Fi and no air conditioning.
- Heather (5/5): Was an experience. - Loved that it had gas cooking! Great shower. Kids loved the animals (chooks, geese, pigs, dogs and cattle) getting up close. Not great for kids, balcony was an issue. Drop toilet in the bathroom. Dogs roaming at night and barking on balcony. Dogs taking shoes from door step and chewing.
- Danielle (10/5): - Review of High Valley Dawn Permaculture Farm
It was so refreshing to spend 1 week being part of a true community of people who genuinely care about each other & who love nature's way of living off the land & without harmful chemicals.
The tiny home cabins are set up really well & are very comfortable.
It's so peaceful & there's plenty of space to walk & just enjoy the peace of nature
It was so interesting to see & temporarily feel a part of a working farm & community of people living totally off-grid
The property itself is so interesting to explore with vegetable gardens & tropical fruit trees & native food trees too.
I also loved the fact that it was a working farm!
The owner has done an amazingly SELFLESS & TIRELESS job of settling this farm up to restore the values of an old-fashioned farming community found in Australia in times past
Yet it has a fresh atmosphere & unique vitality with young people from all around the world coming to volunteer on the farm & learn much
Plus families & others who have chosen to leave their lives in the busy world & make their home on the farm... They work very hard to help keep the farm running... but for their hard work they gain the rich reward of enjoying this wonderful natural lifestyle & becoming part of this unique working community of like-minded & like-hearted people
My sister & I felt very blessed to have happened upon this place to stay! We met so many lovely people while we were there !
- Jörg (10/5): - Sehr schöner Einblick in die Permakultur.
Toll eingerichtetetes Tiny Haus in ländlicher Idylle. -
- Sienna (10/5): Excellent place to wind down and relax. Couldn’t recommend more! -
- Jenni (8/5): Very good - I liked listening to the sounds of nature, it was very relaxing
- Ashley (10/5): fantastic! - we really loved the farm tour. Ryko was very knowledgeable
- Letícia (8/5): Beautiful sunrise! - Connection with nature and the water system. Common spaces could be a bit cleaner.
- Luke (10/5): Amazing farm stay experience! Beautiful produce gardens, paddocks with all sorts of animals, solar energy, composting fa - Beautiful property with so much to discover. The produce gardens were amazing, a variety of animals to meet in various paddocks, and you must wander up the hill behind the cabins for the best view in Roslyn Bay!
We were a family of 4 staying in one tent using the communal cooking kitchen and eating area which worked very well. Toilet and shower facilities were well maintained. Close to everything you’d want to see between Yepoon and Emu Bay. WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE!
- Greg (2/5): Good if you are a young Greenie, very alternate hipster joint. Mozzies galore - Price, location Location
- Amber (9/5): Gorgeous view - Location was beautiful, kids loved walking around and seeing the farm animals. The tiny home was very nice and new. The only negative for us with young children (under 2) was there were no sides/rails on the balcony which made it less relaxing with him running around.
- Katie (8/5): Very good - Scenery, bedding, showers and amenities, kitchen
- Nathalie (8/5): Very good - Right in the middle of nowhere on the farm surrounded by animals. You can also walk right the fruit and veg patch Cotton sheets would be preferable rather than polyester. In hot conditions much better for the skin
- Bellamac (10/5): Hidden Gem in Yeppoon - The tranquillity of the property, with its lush and beautiful acreage, truly fosters an appreciation for the area and a deep respect for the owner's vision. The spectacular and modern mini home provided everything we needed, and the quality of the interior finishes was simply stunning. We also had access to our own outdoor BBQ. The tasteful and modern styling, along with the high-quality linen, added to the overall comfort and luxury of our stay. The convenient location, just a 5-minute drive from the beach and cafes, allowed us to easily explore the surroundings and then return to the property for relaxation.
Ryko, the owner, was exceptionally friendly and kind, exceeding our expectations in every way. His passion for the environment was evident, and we look forward to our next stay at this wonderful property. There is absolutely nothing to dislike. It was an incredible stay that provided everything we could have possibly needed and more.
- Darcy (8/5): Very good -
- Adi (10/5): Exceptional - Wow! Beautiful farm, lovely tiny house, and the hosts are amazing.. Highly recommend!
- Sophia (10/5): The perfect rural stay. You’ll hardly believe it’s only 10 minutes from town. - Everything was perfect, from the peaceful countryside setting to the luxury tiny house that had all the essentials. So many nice touches - from the bedroom decor to the bbq on the deck. Sitting on the deck in the afternoons, enjoying the quiet with a beer, was just what I needed. The walk up the mountain for sunset was definitely a highlight—such amazing views. The forest garden tour by my host was a perfect start to the trip. And sampling the fresh produce makes you realise how important this place is. I don’t ever want to buy supermarket veggies ever again!
- Nicola (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shan.c (10/5): Literally a breath of fresh air. - directions to the farm were easy to follow, the accommodation was perfect, beds super comfortable, we were taken for a walk around the farm and got to taste some of the home grown produce. Fresh fruit was provided in the tiny homes. Everyone was so friendly and available for anything we needed . such a peaceful and beautiful place to stay.
