Guest Reviews
- Preetishna (1/5): -
- Daniel (1/5): - This was really horrible! Dont trust the photos on Booking.com! 100€ for one night in this ….
- Zhang (5/5): 还可以 - 服务态度还不错。 没有wifi,洗浴室布局不太好,设施陈旧
- JOY (1/5): Worst Experience for me and my family - Nothing. I wasn’t checked in at Grandwest Villas since I booked there. There was an error in their system so my booking wasn’t reflected. They had to refer me and my family to their sister hotel Hexagon Hotel. And it was my worst experience ever! I paid $968FJD plus bond as well which was $100FJD and there was no aircon in the living room, no wifi, aircons on both rooms weren’t working and no kitchen utensils. I had to go down to reception and ask for it.
- Joshua (1/5): If you value sanitation or basic cleanliness, run the other way! - The water slide and pool Bed bugs, sewage leak with worms growing behind toilet.
They didn’t seem to care about the bed bug situation- they made me sleep in my room still after showing a dead bed bug to front desk. Fast forward a day when they moved me finally, they threw a new guest into the infested room. (Mind you they didn’t care about the infestation whatsoever until I mentioned reporting it to Consumer Council in an email I sent to them. Manager personally tagged me down and asked “have you reported it?”) then within 24 hours rooms were being emptied for treatment, I was refunded, she wrote me the letter, etc.
photos of my proof attached
1st pic- my email making a complaint after sleeping in the infested room.
2nd and 3rd pics- them finally emptying rooms for treatment after I made a situation
4th pic- apology letter written to me from manager (wasn’t given until after I threatened to report them)
5th pic- small and subtle bed bug bites on my feet
6th pic- worms growing behind my toilet in the second room I was moved to
- Constantine (7/5): Place was good except for detailed maintenance. - The silicone in the bathroom and toilet needs to be removed and replaced. Also downstairs toilet seat should be replaced! Upstairs single mattress are a bit old should be replaced!
- Shiraaz (1/5): Very run down resort would not recommend! - Stayed here for one night. Unfortunately, the villa had bed bugs. There was only one AC remote for two rooms, no air conditioning downstairs, and the shower had no shampoo holders. Overall, a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this resort.

- Gerard (1/5): Standards have drastically dropped - Spacious and convenient Bed was not made and the pillows had stains. The room was not prepared when it was time to check in. There were no towels provided and we had to wait until the next day to get them and the service was very poor. The pool was not cleaned properly. When we had requested a late check out the receptionist had advised this was ok. After returning to our room, the receptionist came back and told us the boss is in and everyone needs to check out on time which was very frustrating. Will not be returning to this place. We used to love checking into Grand West Villas and they were really good. Now, their standards have really dropped.
- Simione & Mereani (3/5): Bed Bugs and Uncomfortable Bed Ruined Our Stay - Cool We experienced issues with bed bugs, which caused significant itching and disrupted our sleep at night. Additionally, the bed in Room 104 was uncomfortable due to a noticeable hollow in the middle, making it uneven and resulting in body pain.
- Simione & Mereani (4/5): Uncomfortable Stay Due to Bed Bugs and Poor Bed Condition - Cool We experienced issues with bed bugs, which caused significant itching and disrupted our sleep at night. Additionally, the bed in Room 104 was uncomfortable due to a noticeable hollow in the middle, making it uneven and resulting in body pain.
- Pinepine (8/5): - The staff very friendly and helpful
Arrived before check in but was still able to leave bags until check in
- Arny101 (1/5): -
- Varasika (7/5): Overall the place was wonderful and clean - The room was beautiful The staff was not professional. Communication between the staff on quest requests fell on deaf ears. Was disappointed with the service.
- Josateki (10/5): Exceptional - Homely feel
- Umesh (1/5): Worst EXPERIENCE - Nothing Firstly, my check-in was at 3 pm but got my room at 7 pm. The bed was dirty, and inside the room, there were so many flies and even butterflies and cockroaches. This was the worst stay i ever had.
- Jasmial (4/5): Disappointing - Friendly reception desk and location Old and unkept property
Everything needs to be repaired, painted, or replaced. Has the feel of a cheap city motel and will not stay again.
- Shiloh (5/5): SHORT STAY FOR NON-FUSSY TRAVELERS. - Service desk ladies were awesome and informative. They checked us in early with little notice, which was awesome.
However, there was a guy at the desk whom I think knows little English. Rooms are standard, we stayed in the family villa. Downstairs has no aircon, only the rooms do. In our room, the aircon was not good and the remote kept glitching. I was travelling with a 5 month old and her heat rashes starting up again after managing to keep her cool at other locations. Random holes in the wall, heavy on the mosquito nests as the area gets quite muddy when it rains. Food was awful. Breakfast was passable.
- Tabua (7/5): I enjoy it with my family - The swimming pool Town not provided despite request
- Bryan (10/5): Loved the stay and enjoyed the time spent with family - Loved the place and the swimming pool and the location was near as well When making the booking it was mentioned the room comes with sofa beds and the photos that was shown was different from the room itself.
- Catbear (8/5): Very good -
- Tokasa (5/5): Passable - The stay was okay. Since I was travelling with extended family, rooms were close and rooming configuration was very suitable for all of us. I think they were short staffed, it would take a whole day to receive fresh towels. The air con in the hall that we used wasn't cooling properly that whole week.
- Anusha (1/5): Uncomfortable - Nothing Dirty. Bugs . Smelling
- Rajitha (1/5): Very poor. We cancel our rest of the 9 days. Only stay one night. Would not come back. - Staff were very friendly Room was very dirty. Dirty cups. No tower toilet paper Provo. Staff had to go outsource them. Very poor service. Broken bed. One of the food didn’t have a lock.
- Joshua (8/5): Very good -
- Stephen (3/5): First room had major sewerage problem, changed rooms, only 1 Key for 3 people, - Location OK overall service very poor, missing ac remote, wrong TV remote in room, constant requests for towels and toilet paper wifi only available at office
- Kamla (1/5): Bad - Nothing The condition of the room is very bad. We found roaches nd the sheets were stained. I told the staff but it seemed she didn’t care
- Jacqueline (5/5): Passable -
- Hemoata (10/5): My stay was great loved it will definitely be booking there again in the future - Property was very tidy & clean pool was great
- Sharon (1/5): Never ever book this hotel!! - The pool with the slide was the only saving grace for this place No WiFi, pool and restaurant were closed, no laundry, although all were advertised. Asked for pool towels and was told that the laundry service hasn’t been so 6 people had to fight over 4 bath towels and 3 pool towels for 2 days. No daily cleaning. Rude staff. They would leave you standing at the desk with no acknowledgement and then shrug their shoulders when you complained. Dogs barking constantly and as a small bonus, plans taking off and landing just behind the property.
- Abdul (3/5): Poor - AC leaking water told them two times didn't fix it was hard to lock the door
- Bobbi (1/5): Horrible - Nothing Room, pool, looby, furniture, kitchenette, restaurant closed, dirty carpet in room, fridge not on when arrived, air conditioning not on in room when arrived
- Vince (10/5): Great stay - Good location N/a
- Naisau (9/5): Nice place - The location is good, but the decorations inside need updating, especially curtains. It needs more updating decor wise
- Stephen (5/5): Passable -
- Jycica (1/5): Would never stay again and do not recommend. - Absolutely nothing Everything. Bathroom was mouldy. Draws were weathered, broken, didn’t close. Towels and pillows stained. Staff rolled eyes whenever spoken to, except the security lady way kind. Completely different to the pictures used in advertisement. Ruined my holiday. Very overpriced for what we stayed in.
- Maria (4/5): Disappointing. - The showers worked very poorly. Barely any water pressure, and water came up from the drain. No shampoo or anything in the bathrooms. Lots of cockroaches inside. The pool was incredibly dirty. You couldn’t even see the near the bottom of the pool, so we didn’t use it. The staff doesn’t enforce the pool rules, for example the one about appropriate clothing, as all bathed in their regular clothes, which makes the pool incredibly unsanitary.
When we talked to the staff about the problems with the bathrooms, the receptionist simply replied: “oh!” We’ve stayed at multiple hotels around Fiji and around Wailoaloa beach, and this hotel is by far the worst we have visited.
- Matilda (8/5): Very good - The A/C and pool the bathroom , outdated
- Zeljko (9/5): All in all it’s a very nice place, despite the villa needs some tlc it was ok. - Good access, close to amenities Few things needed maintenance in the villa
- Kay (6/5): Pleasant - The staffs were very friendly. Also all the amenities were close by. Easy to get somewhere The AC in the room wasn't working very well and plus the pool needs a bit of more cleanup coz it was very slippery around the fountain island.
- Rocky (7/5): Good -
- Lusiana (9/5): Enjoyed my stay with exceptional customer service - The rooms and the cooking facilities, the staffs are friendly It’s all good
- Kurt (2/5): Very poor - Pool Rooms stunk like someone had just shhat on the bed
- Devs (4/5): Rooms were tired. beds were very uncomfortable -
- Welch (4/5): Stay at GrandWest Villa . - The villa was ok bit out dated.Walking distance to the shops and beaches. Paid a lot of money to stay there for 6 days and for a pool that was green and looking very dirty around the walls ,spoke to management a number of times about the pool, which was never fixed properly, nothing like what the picture looks like on booking .com, the tennis court was non usable and around outside my villa a bit of rubbish, including a condom that was left near my path which would have been seen by the workers who brought my towels over to my room as requested and was just left there on the pathway for days without being removed. The facilities are well and truly outdated for such an overpriced place.Very poor management running the place.Would not be staying there again if i go back to Nadi.Much cheaper and nicer places around that area to stay .
- Mel (7/5): It was pretty expensive for three of us and I doubt I would stay here again but the location was great. - The location was the best thing about the property; it’s within walking distance of the main Wailoaloa strip where all the cafes, restaurants and night life can be (on the beach). The facilities aren’t working; the restaurant is closed permanently, the water in the pool is murky and dirty and the toilets weren’t the best.
- Vijay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jayant (8/5): may be its time to refurbish kitchen and bathroom cupboards - N/A ALL GOOD
- Amelia (6/5): Pleasant -
- Johnston (5/5): Passable -
- Natalia (6/5): Good place - People there are nice and it is a beautiful place The rooms could more new, the light more brighter as well
- Melissa (1/5): Terrible, worst place I have ever stayed. - Location This place is nothing like the photos, it’s disgusting and dirty. The pool was green and stunk like sewage. There is no functioning restaurant/cafe. The rooms are filthy and nothing works. No plates or cups or cutlery in kitchenette and toaster was sparking when we turned on. Dogs barking all night. Walls so thin you can hear everything in adjoining rooms. No wifi. Asked 4 times for towels and never received them and no toilet paper. No wonder this place has a strictly no refund policy.
- Amy (5/5): Passable -
- Lachy (4/5): Plenty of room for a family stay, but is not a three star property - Large apartment suitable for families. The whole resort is in run down condition, and while some bathrooms in the Villa had been updated others were not. The restaurant and bar not open while there. Should not be a three star.
- Brij (8/5): Very good -
- James (3/5): Not the best accommodation choice. Would not recommend. - I liked that the parking was located outside the rooms which was convenient. The room is weirdly designed and not very homely. Lighting in the room was terrible. Weird smell in the room when we entered. Beds were okay, but the pillows were cheap and terrible to sleep on. Bathrooms were average.
- Pranesh (10/5): Exceptional -
- Jacqueline (8/5): Very good - Everything No pool towels
- Pravin (3/5): Poor - Swimming pool No restaurant
No wifi
Long walk to room
- Flor (10/5): Exceptional -
- Madonna (8/5): Good, will stay here again. - A good sized place, well set out, neat and clean, good for our little family Hot water shower in one of the rooms - said to turn right for hot, but actually had to turn handle left instead
- Thomas (1/5): Bad -
- Nancy (6/5): Pleasant - Remote area. Friendly staff. Room is Old and run down. Needs upgrade.
- Toby (1/5): Dreadful place! - There is nothing good to say about this place. We checked out as soon as we could. The photos on Bookings.com are nothing like the reality. The place was run down and dirty. Also, there is no restaurant or wifi as mentioned in the description. It was a long walk to the nearest restaurant.
- Mathew (1/5): Avoid - Nothing No wifi, old rooms and facilities, bad location away from restaurants and overly expensive for what it offers! Avoid
- Vinesh (1/5): Bad - the only thing we liked was the location. We picked this place for our family The place was run down with lights not working. things broken and doesnt reflect on whats on the website.
- Sangita (8/5): Very good - Friendly staffs Pool was bit dirty
- Tom (9/5): Superb -
- Michael (6/5): Pleasant -
- Anonymous (4/5): I’ve stayed here twice before and can’t remember it being this run down. Far too expensive for the type of accommodation - Parking outside. Security. 24 hour reception. Gardens. Bed comfortable. The unit has seen much better days. It is worn out and needs renovating. Mould in bathroom, chipped and broken tiles and benches. Kettle didn’t work. Fridge and cupboard doors were all open which could have meant it hadn’t been occupied for some time. Fridge not turned on. Air conditioning unit only in main bedroom. Ceiling fans in downstairs area. No restaurant facility.
- Mohammed (3/5): Poor -
- Tiffany (5/5): it was ok if you have day trips planned and are not looking to be at the facility much - spacious dirty pool with trash floating and water not clean 15 min walk from beach on high traffic area
- Burese (8/5): Very good - I liked that it was self contained villa....I didn't expect both rooms to have its own bathroom and another on downstairs....very convenient. We really enjoyed our stay as it had kids park and swimming pool.
- Kate (1/5): Would never stay there again and never recommend to anyone - It was close to Nadi airport and had air-conditioning It was very bad, smelt like cat pee and damp. There was cockroaches in cupboard and bathroom. No milk in fridge for coffee.
- Aimee (2/5): Very poor -
- Nikita (7/5): Comfortable - Location No wifi
- Leanne (4/5): Disappointing -
- Rebecca (8/5): Very good -
- Albert (10/5): Exceptional -
- Katherine (8/5): Very good - The pool was amazing, especially the slide The restaurant was closed the whole time we were there, they had a tennis court but no tennis balls to use
- Nehal (5/5): Passable - The location Switches not working
Lights not good enough
Hot water in shower not working
- Phoebe (10/5): Great budget friendly family holiday. - Pool was amazing, units were large 2 bed 3 bath, cooking facilities made it easier and cheaper to feed a family of 5. We ate out at Sitar and the Olive tree on the corner but cooked a few dinners in and had breakfast and lunch mostly at home saving a lot of money. Lovely gardens, tennis court, very quiet. The kids played in the pool for hours most days by themselves. The slide was fast and parts of the pool deep for doing bombs. There were a few pool lounges around. Friendly staff helped the kids husk coconuts and always greeted us with Bula! If you are after a luxurious holiday this is not for you. If you are after a low cost family base for exploring Fiji Grant West Villas is great! Close to airport so you do get woken by planes. Seemed to stop around 10.30pm. Well overdue for a renovation but if you are not fussy it’s a great budget friendly holiday with kids. $1,700 for 7 nights for 5 people v $8,700 for the Radisson Blue. With our savings we did 2 island trips and 2 mainland tours and had $5,000 left over. All the trips were amazing. It was about an 8 min walk to the Ramada Suites which is the meeting place for transfers. This is fine if everybody enjoys a nice morning walk. All of the bus drivers were happy to drop us outside Grand West Villas on the way home as it was on route.
- Julie (2/5): Very poor -
- Psalm (3/5): Poor - We were able to check in early. The pool was very dirty as was the kitchen. We were told the cot would be available for us and it wasn't.
- Stuart (3/5): Poor - Overpriced. Charges locals a 3rd of what they charge travellers. Don't bother booking online. Just show up. They have tonnes of rooms available and they are only 1 star. It is best to use a recognised hotel chain, or you will be in for a rude surprise. Fortunately, I only booked 1 night.
- Ralph (3/5): Poor -
- Richard (2/5): Very poor - Staff was nice. The room was horrible. A blanket we were given looked like it had stains from sex on it. Dogs were barking all night and when they stopped the cats started fighting.
The workers were great but they couldn't do anything about the condition of the place
- Teresia (10/5): Excellent staff was accomodating - The efficiency in making our last minute booking and given the room we wanted ground level Just 2 pillows for the bedwe had the extra sofa bed with no pillows
- Joseph (7/5): Good -
- Kumar (1/5): Bad - Nothing except pool Booked for 1 night and got charged for double tired of calling staff for refund .... evey dirty rooms plus looting by double charging
- Ian (6/5): Very secure.. great friendly staff.. tennis courts need resurfacing and the pool needs more mantain - The grounds Pool could be cleaner water clearer
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- Adi (6/5): Pleasant - Staff so friendly Pool needs cleaning
- Bhavna (1/5): Not worth the money - The concept of room was nice, the pool is quiet reasonably sized. The surrounding was not clean enough, eg. the grass near the building was overgrown which attracted a lot of mosquitos, major issue was that the beds are infested with bed bugs thus we had a unpleasant stay. Will not recommend anyone to stay there.
- Sandhiya (8/5): Very good -
- Iftikar (9/5): Superb -
- Mereseini (5/5): Passable - Location Other guests in the room next to ours were playing loud music and making too much noise during the night. They were local boys who were probably drinking alcohol.
- Vala (8/5): Very good -
- Manuel (9/5): Very good place, nothing to complain - Very good place, nothing to complain Very good place, nothing to complain
