Conill Moína (1/5): A very different experience than expected - The location was convenient for moving around Hong Kong. The room was very different from the photos. We expected two beds, but we found only one small single bed. There were insects in the bathroom, and the room had a very bad smell. They didn’t clean or tidy the room during our entire stay from Friday to Sunday. The building (Chungking Mansions) is extremely chaotic, crowded, and dirty, with food and insects everywhere, and it’s quite stressful to reach the hostel.

Islam (10/5): Very accomodating staff and spacious room for family of 5 and 4! - I was worried at first because I could not see any reviews on the web. But the rooms were surprisingly bigger than what we usually see on youtube about chungking mansion properties. We booked room for 5 and 4, one of the rooms even has a fridge! Regardless, the whole property has common area so you get to cook if you want, they also hs fridge if your from doesn’t have one. Free hot water and you can even use their microwave! We often ask for fresh bath towel almost everyday, and they always provide them happily. We were assisted by Sunny who was very accommodating. He even let us use one of our booked room prior our checkin time since it’s already available! What a relief because we came from a long travel! Huhuhu. We felt safe and cared for during our stay. He even shared tips on where to buy cheap water bottles and what to explore around tsim sha tsui. Definitely highly recommended! Our stay was super comfy!

Cheng (2/5): My incredible experience! - There were multiple hooks here n there in the room - not bad but who needs that many? 1) I had to cough out another additional 15% more as cleaning fee. When I told the staff that the booked price was HKD178.20 with Booking. com he said that I could always cancel this booking! So, I was at my wit's end, right? Cos' if I cancel, does it mean that New Hoover Hostel would deduct the amount from my card? So, I paid HKD204. He then checked me in to CEBU(Just next door to New Hoover). 2) There was no bath towel When I called the phone no. shown in the email the line went dead. I went next door(New Hoover Hostel), rang the bell, but no response! 3) Next morning I had my "big business". Imagine for 45mins I couldn't flush - no water in the cistern. Had to use the shower water! 4)The bathing gel was left at rock bottom. I squeezed the last little bit out, with air! 5) No waste paper basket provided - none!

Albert (3/5): Poor - There's no combination lock key to get into this guest house, and there's only a key to open the door of the room, therefore I was concern about the safety of this guest house. There's marks on the towel.
