Guest Reviews
- Pritchard (6/5): Got what I paid for, maybe? - Host was super responsive and helped me get in over text when I couldnt get in the room was super noisy, several doors opening and closing allnight, hairdryers going off at 1am and people walking past the window in the middle of the night playing load music. street light heavily bleeding through the curtains and one of the lights were out, no TV in the private room or wifi
- Emmaline (8/5): -
- Brodie (9/5): -
- Joe (10/5): -
- rahat (9/5): - Neat n quite
- Fox (9/5): Wonderful place with everything you need for family stay - Great location, prompt communication from host and great set up with private rooms and shared facilities
- Jordan (9/5): All good. - Guitar.
- Szczepan (8/5): Super lokalizacja, czyste przytulne mieszkanie. -
- bernadette (5/5): Avoid .... - Good location The aunts infestation, the smell of raw sewage , the damp staining to the ceilings, the lack of privacy in the large ground floor bedroom and the toilet that barely works...
- Ingrid (8/5): Good location,.ok for short stays but don't rely on the internet - Great location, few minutes from bus stops and subway. The room and shared facilities were clean and staff was very responsive. The Internet almost never worked and when it worked it was very weak. I stayed there 4 nights and it never really improved.
The base of the two double beds in the big room were sort of hand made and not fixed/stable, so they could move or separate among each other causing the mattress to float on top. The mattress was fine but it was uncomfortable to try to sort out the bed bases when they would move.
You have to pay extra to store suitcases in a big locker for a bit after check-out. There's a fee too for late check out (only 2 extra hours from regular check out).
- Ayodele (1/5): - I could not stay there. There was nobody in the house. Is this a scam that you guys are marketing? Everything.
- Jorge (9/5): - Cleanliness, shared area, room configuration, bathroom, kitchen, laundry!
Location was good and close to Burroughs market, but not very close to subway or bus stops.
- Lay Ching (9/5): Love Copperfield stay. Home away from home :) thank you. - Cosy housing stay. Kitchen accessibility on simple cooking and full kitchen facilities. We were able to cook simple meals for my daughter who is staying in London, giving her comfort on having home cook meals. Very user friendly facilities. Very personal space. Very convenient location. It was considerate of owner to place a portable heater in the room to provide extra heating especially when there was a sudden temp drop during the stay. It could be better to have some cabinet in the bath room to put toiletries ; and hooks to hang clothes for change over after shower.
- Stephen John (9/5): clean comfortable and well located. - we hadn't realized it was a shared bathroom, but I don't think anyone was in room 3 so we didn't really have to share. The bathroom itself an he bedroom were very clean and conformable. share areas looked very nice as well, although we didn't use them If there had been some ground coffee and a cafetiere we would have made coffee! .
- MItchell (10/5): Good central location - What a fantastic location, extremely easy to get access with codes, had large bedroom eith own bathroom. Very nicely done out, would recommend this Beds were very nice but a little hard for my personal taste, because if wood under mattress, but I do understand why this has been done, and one small thing, missed a tv, this would be fantastic if a group/family rented all 3 rooms
- Bálint (10/5): -
- Deborah (8/5): - It was in the perfect location for me and had a really good vibe Nothing
- Jörg (7/5): -
- Derek (10/5): -
- Steffie (9/5): - Lots of space in bedroom, 2 comfy double beds, decent bathroom. Excellent facilities in shared kitchen/diner Had a bit of trouble using keypad to get in - actually v easy once we knew
- Adnan (7/5): Convenient location - Good experience Relax
- RYOICHI (10/5): -
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Nina (8/5): A good location and plenty of space - Warm and toasty on arrival No tv and shared bathroom was always busy - not the hosts fault obviously
- Oleksandr (8/5): -
- Oliver (10/5): -
- Adams (10/5): Lovely stay - Room size lovely and really clean
- Stevie (8/5): Great location and wonderful spot - Location was amazing and perfectly located for both London bridge and Waterloo. Walking distance to many sites. It was very clean and can't complain about facilities. My only complaint would be i wish i stayed 1 more night Nothing to really complain about
- rob (7/5): -
- Dale (4/5): I’ll be more careful next time. - I believe it was my fault that I didn’t appreciate this was a communal type accommodation as opposed to a small ensuited B&B. Didn’t like travelling across the communal lounge to go to the loo. Hostel style accommodation.
- Alastair (7/5): Convenient and spacious. - Very good value for this part of London. Excellent clear information on how to get in, including a mobile if problems (which there weren't). Bedroom spacious clean and warm. Large communal living area. Be aware that the bathroom is shared between two rooms and is not ensuite. However, this is reflected in the affordable price.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Excellent clean room with lots of space - Room was spacious, had lots of storage, clean and nicely decorated. How the door was unlocked to start off with, just incase someone came in and messed up the room but that did not happen
- Rafael (10/5): - Very spacious common area, large bathroom, and the bedroom was very comfortable! The room is right on the small street. Only every now and then would you hear people walk past or a car drive by, but if you bring a sound machine or ear plugs for sleeping, you won’t notice a thing. But this is a very minor issue, and it didn’t affect my overall experience.
- Svet Lana (8/5): -
- Ruben (6/5): -
- Thibault (5/5): Room is comfortable and location is prime, but I couldn’t sleep because of constant noises - The location. Room sound proofing wasn’t good. The room was next to the flat entrance and the “hotel” part is a converted ground floor with a lot of traffic too.
- William (10/5): -
- Kerry (10/5): Very good - Clean and comfortable
- Niall (8/5): - Central and great value for money Upstairs were a little noisy
- marion (7/5): -
- Kristian (10/5): - Centralt
- Johan (3/5): - I stayed in flat #5 on the top floor. The room was very spacious for me as a solo traveller with the two double beds.
The flat is located on a quiet and safe street. The shared living room space seemed nice, but I didn't use it. The windows and balcony door are very poorly soundproofed. Outdoor sounds are pretty much the same no matter if they are open or closed. Next to the windows is an array of air pumps which generate a constant white noise. And incoming airplanes toward Heathrow which are part of living in London, but would be less of a nuisance with better windows.
Some things that need fixing
- The two electrical sockets by the desk/table don't work, maybe their fuse is blown?
- Several of the ceiling spotlights are flickering
- The drain in the shower is a little clogged, so having a shower for more than 5 minutes would make it spill over on the floor
- The stopper in the water bottle had mold on the inside
- David (7/5): -
- sue (8/5): Great location for south bank, comfortable room in shared flat - Great location Nothing really
Shared accommodation not sure which kitchen facilities to use
- Rowan (7/5): -
- Kenneth (10/5): Perfect location - Safe and secure
- Darina (8/5): - Very good location and super comfy bed
- antonio (3/5): -
- Jayson (6/5): -
- FIRAT (9/5): -
- Meg-or (9/5): - Good location, easy to get in and out, has full kitchen, washing facilities which seemed great Wifi didnt connect in the room. The rooms window also doesn't seem to open as its directly on the street but there was a fan which was a good alternative. Could get stuffy in hotter months.
- cem (2/5): bir daha asla - sevilebilecek hiçbirşey yoktu. Görseldeki banyo resmi odaya ait değil,banyo ortak kullanımda.Banyo aşırı soğuk,duştan sonra direk hasta olursunuz.
- Richard (8/5): - Spacious room, good blackout blinds, comfy bed.
- Fabiola (10/5): - Ottima, confortevole e pulita.
Posizione, bagno e spogliatoio e cucina super attrezzata
- Carol (6/5): Ok per una notte di passaggio -
- Williams (9/5): -
- Emily (8/5): Overall great spot for a few nights in a central location. With everything you need at your disposal. Would happily stay - Location was great. Everything was accessible and it was just away enough from the hustle bustle that it remained quiet. Always kept clean. The family bathroom was cleaned thoroughly but is definitely in need of some general maintenance with a few broken (lifted) tiles and a sink plug that wouldn’t come out. But even with this, everything was functional enough to be used for its purpose.
- Hruška (9/5): - Prilis tenke steny a hlasite bouchani dveri. Jinak dokonale.
- Raj (8/5): Very good - Spacious room with kitchen facilities. Bathroom were very clean and tidy. Bathroom away from room.
- Jenny (9/5): Lovely room, superb location and great value for money - Very comfortable and great location No wifi
- Joseph (6/5): Pleasant - Loud due to other guests (or permanent residents) and entrance doors
Bathroom becomes incredibly slippy when wet
- Karen (10/5): Great stay in London, excellent location to visit tower bridge, sky gardens, and market, all good. - Lot's of space, location fantastic, shared kitchen, ability to leave luggage. Response to questions very fast. N/a
- Jolien (7/5): Good - Only a thick duvet was provided. It was warm during our stay. The room was warm also. It was much too warm under the duvet. Would have been better if there was an alternative thinner blanket provided.
Message sent by host missed a digged. We had to ring up to get the right one to be able to enter the property.
- Jacquie (7/5): Good -
- Mariyam (8/5): Very good -
- Vijeta (7/5): Good -
- Mhairi (7/5): Good value for money . Would stay again. - Location was good No ensuite but we knew this when booking so no complaint there. No air con but borrowed a fan for night maybe room could do with one as window is on street.
- Alison (8/5): Very good - Great location, perfect for what I needed, room was clean and comfortable
- E (2/5): Disappointed - Single room Moths - I found at least 15. Room was damp, bedding was damp, towels were damp. It looks like there is a moth infestation.
- Elizabeth (10/5): Safe location for a group of 3 girls! Beds were comfy and a lot to do walking distance! -
- Madeline (10/5): Exceptional - The beds were amazing both my friend and I woke up saying how it was so comfortable. We got one of the best night sleep on how comfortable it was the duvet. It was so thick and cozy honestly just for the bed. I’d highly recommend.
Rooms with spacious and clean in the common area we hardly saw anybody until dinner time and it was a couple just having their takeaway dinner.
- David (8/5): Great acoomodation in a great location. - This is a hidden gem in a fantastic location only a few minutes walk from Tate Modern and Soutwark Underground. Incredibly quiet compared to other areas of London with a wealth of pleasant bars and eateries in easy reach. Would have preferred our own bathroom or for the shared bathroom to be a little closer, however we did not see anyone els during our stay so it mad elittle difference to our convenience.
- Jay (10/5): Pleasant - Very niche Nothing was all really good. Only small thing no milk for coffee in the morning
- Martina (8/5): Very good -
- Willie (7/5): Good - Everything you need like your house
- Andrew (4/5): Noisy and dangerous - Spacious
Plenty of room for us Very noisy neighbours into early hours ( was during the week)
Ants in room
Bathroom floor a hazard
Shower too hot no information to turn heat down.
- Anna (9/5): Superb - The whole shared apartment was incredibly cute! I thought it would be a bit weird sharing with other families but it was actually very homey because there was a huge living room and kitchen. There was also laundry which we found very helpful. The wifi was a bit weak in our room. Also the walls are a bit thinner than ideal, but not a big issue for us.
- Oconnor (4/5): Would not stay here again-broken tiles, ants, uncomfortable mattress - We chose it due to having three beds and didn’t find many other options that did. For the price, I was close enough to what we wanted to see by Uber. There were ants, cracked tiles in the bathroom that pop up every time you step near them, water stains on the wall where it appears ants are coming from, and warped and uncomfortable bed. I’ve stayed in hostels and felt those were cleaner.
- Kevin (8/5): Good location. Great kitchen. Mediocre beds. - No breakfast was provided but the coffee and tea were quite good One of the beds was very warped from use, so that on the left side, it almost felt like you were sliding out of bed.
Other than that everything was very good.
- Ricardo (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maria (9/5): Superb - The size of the room, the size of the bed. The location and accessibility. Shower had nice high pressure hot water.
Bedroom and bathroom very clean.
Hairdryer. Room felt cold when arrived at night while corridor and bathroom were at a confortable temperature. The large towel was not that large, it could do with a slightly larger size.
- Alex (6/5): Good Value - Good location. Easy check in Shared bathroom, but to be expected for the price
- Natalia (10/5): Great & affordable place to stay - Great! Clean and affordable room, comfy beds, clean towels and bed sheets. Great location and communication. No issues at all, recommend!
- Lynda (9/5): Superb -
- Phoebe (7/5): Really lovely and affordable. Amazing location - Very clean and cosy The shared bathroom
- Ingham (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and neat with a beautiful large communal area. Real effort put into the decor to give it a great feel.
- Ben (10/5): Exceptional - Room was a good size and bed was comfortable.
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Cox (7/5): Lone female travellers avoid. Great for family’s/ groups/ or couples. We are not equal yet! 😞 - Spacious room and the heating was on and a heater thank you for that! The room was really clean and there was a really well equipped kitchen which was amazing if you wanted to stay in but on a short stay not so useful as your in and out. The water filters xxx were a lovely feature and the kettle with no limescale so reallly clean and well maintained in the way they could. As a lone female traveller I did not feel safe with the secluded road it was in. I struggled with the numbered key pad entrance. On my own in the dark I felt very vulnerable. Also my room had two doors with one onto a terrace which opened outwards which I couldn’t wedge. If it had opened inwards I could have wedged it and felt safer. My other door to my room was up some stairs but off the main communal room so when people were cooking/ eating/ taking phone calls/ watching stuff on their phone I felt very disturbed. Could smell all the cooking. Somebody also left the light on in The stairway outside my room. Appreciate it’s a shared space but when you really need a good rest it’s not very tranquil and you’re at the whim of the other guests.
- Martial (8/5): Very good -
- David (2/5): Convenient but poorly equipped and cold - Convenient location for what I wanted to do in London but hard to find, partly because Bookings.com had given me the wrong address. I appeared not to have received message from owner with more detailed instructions and correct address - owner very helpful in sorting this out quickly and redending details - much appreciated. The property is in a back street of Southwark so I felt a little wary returning at 11pm. I was there during very cold spell in London - heating had been on in the evening so some warmth but not on at 8am so very cold. Took a quick hot shower and fled to a warm place for breakfast and didn't return. Cheap bedding/towel. Minimal furnishings and supplies etc. (but this is consistent with Bookings.com listing). Steep and dangerous staircase to and from my room with no landing at top (I wedged the a chair against the door during the night in case I inadvertently opened it in the dark). No bedside light - only room light switch is by the door. No means of making late or early hot drink - unclear whether can use flat living room/kitchen as not mentioned in Bookings.com listing and lots of food etc. there belonging to somebody else. Might have used it to make tea/cofffee if I had brought my own supplies. Compared to equivalently priced hotel rooms I have stayed at in central London recently, this room is over-priced for one person and under supplied. Might be good value for a group sharing a room if same rate applies and if they are allowed to use kitchen/sitting room facilities.
- Darren (9/5): perfectly perfect - the room, it's ease of access and check in, it's clean was ideal 👌 didn't like the off suite private bathroom which was large and clean but would prefer ensuite but hey !
