The communication with Francesco was very good. It was very convenient that it had a washing machine and iron. The kitchen was well equipped except that it had an electric kettle but not a coffee maker, only a moka . At night it was very noisy .

The shower was hot and everything was in working order. It was easy to find and get into the apartment. Didn’t hear any noise from the other units. Of course there is street noise, lots of scream-talking drunk Americans. That said, people complaining about noise shouldn’t stay in city centres, they need to stay out in the suburbs. The layout of the living room was odd, despite being large it only had a 2-person loveseat - no coffee table or chairs - crucial for l’apéro.

• Niel (6/5): Disappointing. - It was spacious and centrally located. The host informed us on arrival that the washing machine was broken. This was very frustrating as it was one of the reasons we booked this apartment. Also - no dishwasher pods were provided - they said they would bring but never did. The host was inattentive and never made contact once we had arrived. The building and Neighbourhood were noisy at night and we were woken frequently.
• Clare (9/5): The perfect base for a holiday packed with culture and food! - This property is so central! It was only a few minutes walk to everything we wanted to see: the Uffizi Gallery, the Duomo of Florence, Ponte Vecchio, Palazzo Pitti & Boboli Gardens etc. Francesco, the host, also gave us an excellent restaurant recommendation - Nerocarbone Bistrò Toscano, Via del Parione, 43/45r. It's hard to fault! Our stay was excellent value for money, with everything we needed (hair dryer, full kitchen). As the property is central, there is some street noise at night, but I was prepared and brought ear plugs.
• silvia (5/5): - La posizione è perfetta e vicino a tutto La struttura non era pulita; io e una mia amica abbiamo avuto una forte allergia per tutti i giorni in cui abbiamo alloggiato. Sicuramente è stata anche colpa nostra non aver fatto presente questa situazione allo staff, ma una di noi è stata molto male, quindi non volevamo disturbarla. Il riscaldamento non funzionava; solo nel bagno grande il termosifone emanava molto calore, ma nella stanza più piccola faceva abbastanza freddo. Sarebbe anche consigliato pulire i termosifoni perché pieni di polvere; probabilmente per questo abbiamo avuto seri problemi di allergia. Un altro lato negativo è che c'era a disposizione solo un sacchetto per la spazzatura in cucina e uno per ogni bagno; dovendo fare la raccolta differenziata, abbiamo avuto difficoltà, infatti quando compravamo d'asporto tenevamo i sacchetti per buttare i rifiuti. Ci sono anche altri dettagli da migliorare,ma questi sono i principali problemi che non abbiamo tollerato. In generale è una struttura che si trova in una zona perfetta ma, secondo me, bisogna migliorare ancora qualcosa.

• Ciro Guida (3/5): Bella ma... - La posizione della struttura è senza dubbio ottima e molto comoda per visitare la zona. Anche l’appartamento è piuttosto spazioso e, sulla carta, avrebbe un buon potenziale. Purtroppo però questi aspetti positivi non bastano a compensare un problema molto serio: la pulizia. All’arrivo l’appartamento era in condizioni davvero poco accettabili per una struttura che ospita turisti. Diversi ambienti risultavano sporchi o comunque trascurati e dava chiaramente l’impressione che non fosse stata fatta una pulizia accurata prima del nostro ingresso. È un aspetto fondamentale quando si soggiorna fuori casa e trovarsi in queste condizioni rovina inevitabilmente l’esperienza. La mattina successiva al nostro arrivo abbiamo segnalato la situazione al gestore, che ci ha assicurato che avrebbe provveduto a sistemare la pulizia. Purtroppo però non è stato fatto nulla e la situazione è rimasta invariata per tutto il soggiorno. È un vero peccato, perché con una posizione così buona e spazi generosi questa struttura potrebbe essere molto valida. Tuttavia, finché non verrà data molta più attenzione alla pulizia e alla gestione delle segnalazioni degli ospiti, è difficile consigliarla.

• Lyssa (9/5): Great apartment in central Florence - Very comfortable apartment with all you need. Cozy, warm. Great location, can get to everything in central Florence by foot. Having the restaurant Rooster across the street gave us an easy way to have a good heart breakfast before setting for for the day. The only downside of the location is noise. There is a club around the corner and party goes were loud until 3am (we were there in January, it has to be much worse in the high season). But, this is also to be expected for a central Florence location.

• Jannet (8/5): It was a very happy stay, and the apartment was the perfect base from which to enjoy Florence. - The location was very convenient, and the apartment was spacious and comfortable. The beds were very comfortable with cotton bed linen. The kitchen was clean and reasonably spacious compared with similar properties. The street is noisy in the early hours (shop deliveries, workmen immediately beneath the bedroom windows). This is obviously beyond the host's control, but light-sleepers should be aware of it. In the kitchen the microwave turntable had broken, which made it pretty much unusuable. (I hope the owner reads this and replaces it.) On three consecutive days (including the first evening) all the electricity cut out when we were using the kettle. The solution was not to be found in the fuse box clearly on view on the appartment wall, but in a fuse box hidden in a cupboard on the outside landing, which I only discovered after phoning the emergency number. So - the host needs to post clear instructions on the wall by the door so that one is forewarned. None of these things were 'deal breakers', but the second two could be sorted out, which is why I am raising them.

The living room is spacious, the kitchen well-appointed--particularly welcome was the washer-dryer. Via Porta Rossa can be noisy at night, especially on the week-ends, and the windows block the noise only partially.

• Grossenbacher (6/5): Tolle Lage im Herzen von Florenz mit allem in Gehweite – lebendig, sauber und charmant. - Unser Aufenthalt im Porta Rossa Dream war insgesamt sehr schön! Die Lage ist wirklich unschlagbar – mitten im Herzen von Florenz. Alle wichtigen Sehenswürdigkeiten sind nur wenige Schritte entfernt: die Ponte Vecchio, die Uffizien, der Palazzo Vecchio, der imposante Dom mit der Kuppel von Brunelleschi, die Piazza della Signoria, die Basilica di Santa Croce, die Piazza della Repubblica und sogar der Palazzo Pitti mit den Boboli-Gärten – alles bequem zu Fuss erreichbar. Man spürt das lebendige Flair der Stadt direkt vor der Tür – perfekt, wenn man mitten im Geschehen sein möchte. Allerdings war es dadurch auch etwas lauter, und die Betten waren ziemlich hart – daran könnte man noch arbeiten. Trotzdem: eine saubere, charmante Unterkunft in Top-Lage – ideal, um Florenz intensiv zu erleben! 🇮🇹 leider gab es keine Kaffeemaschine im Zimmer

Las camas muy cómodas y el apartamento nuevo y muy amplio. Por poner algo, y que al estar en el centro de una ciudad con tanta vida como Florencia ya te lo puedes esperar, que por las noches a veces se escucha a la gente que pasa gritando y haciendo el animal. No hay ningún sitio molesto fuera, pero sí que cuando pasa alguien sin educación pues lo puedes oír.

Liked having the two bathrooms so one for each bedroom. Shower in one of the bathrooms wasn’t very warm and wouldn’t turn up higher. Tiles behind basin in this bathroom had not been cleaned.

Comodísimo y super bien ubicado - El apartamento es más grande de lo que esperábamos, espacioso y muy cómodo, una amplia cocina comedor living, los dos baños cómodos, la lavadora para nosotros era un plus e incluso dejaron jabón para la ropa. No conocimos a la anfitriona pero el acceso fue claro y simple, es cómodo no tener llaves. Las camas grandes y cómodas, linda ropa de cama y juego de toallas. Se sentía un poco de ruido en las noches de los equipos de aire acondicionado y no pudimos regular la temperatura, pero salvo una noche un poco calurosa el resto del tiempo estuvo bien. La ubicación es espectacular, inmejorable. A un paso de Ponte Veccio y de la Piazza del Duomo. Fácil llegada a la estación también. Está en una zona y una callecita muy linda.

Poor wifi, the property is over several restaurant/bar we had difficulty getting sleep as the people outside were loud to about 2;30 every night Also the street sweeper passed by early every morning. No wash cloths. The garbage disposal was, the far. The electrical outlets in the big bedroom didn't work. Most of the time no hot water.

Apartment 4 on the first floor was airy and spacious, the air conditioning was welcomed for breaks during the day. Useful to have a bathroom and separate toilet. Restaurants close by. Washing machine, fridge and freezer all good and there was an assortment of condiments, sugar and tea bags. I raised a number of issues with the owner and received no reply: the dishwasher doesn't work, I found a rusty screw in the filter and there's no washing up bowl or dish drainer as an alternative.. There's no toilet roll holders in either bathroom, and the toilet in the smaller room is not properly fixed to the floor. The accommodation is for 4 but there's only 3 mugs (1 is chipped), no breakfast bowls and a two seater sofa. The shower was not clean, slippery when wet and no mat provided. Memory foam pillows were hot and hard.I'd overlooked the sizeable city tax cash payment which I was asked to leave on the table at the end of the stay. The accommodation also requires you to remove all of your rubbish, the municipal waste is just around the corner (closer than the instructions in the flat) and requires waste sorted into residual, organic (food) and packaging (covers glass, plastic bottles, tins etc) yet there is only one kitchen bin.
• Noemi (10/5): Great location! - Excellent location. Short walk to train station and main tourist areas. Plenty of food and shopping. Very spacious and comfortable unit. Was excellent, plenty of facilities. It was very good overall. Would stay again. Noise. Whilst noise of restaurants and bars are fine to a degree, on our stay the other guests were noisy. They did not adhere to the quiet time from 10pm to 9am. At one point it was so noisy I thought someone would fall through the floor to my bed! This is my only negative. I would stay again, but maybe ask some firther questions prior to booking.

• Muhammad (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing family stay at Porta Rossa Dream – highly recommended! We had a truly wonderful stay at Porta Rossa Dream. The hosts were incredibly kind, responsive, and helpful – from the moment we booked until we checked out. Communication was smooth and warm throughout. The apartment was spotlessly clean and very comfortable, with everything we needed. The location is absolutely magical – right in the heart of Florence, within walking distance of all the main attractions, museums, markets, and restaurants. It made our trip with kids easy and enjoyable. Even though I have some mobility issues and the apartment is on the top floor (with four short stair landings), it was totally worth it. The charm of the apartment and the area more than made up for the climb. The price was very fair for such a central and well-kept place. A small tip: we paid €45 per day for nearby parking, which is a normal rate for Florence – but it might be smarter to park outside the city and take public transportation in, especially if you're traveling with children. All in all, a perfect stay. We would definitely come back again. Highly recommended for families, couples, or anyone looking to enjoy Florence from a beautiful, authentic home base!
