• Alexandre (1/5): Organisation inexistante et perte de temps totale — je déconseille fortement. - Malheureusement, rien. Nous n’avons pas pu profiter du logement. Expérience très décevante. À notre arrivée, personne ne répondait au téléphone. Sur la route menant au logement, un agent de sécurité qui ne parlait que espagnol nous a demandé de repartir alors que nous avions une réservation confirmée. Après vérification, c’était bien la bonne adresse. Nous sommes donc revenus et un autre agent nous a finalement laissé entrer. En arrivant à la villa, le portail était ouvert, mais le ménage n’avait pas été fait et personne n’était présent pour nous accueillir. Nous avons attendu presque 2 heures sans aucune réponse ni assistance. Rien n’était prêt pour notre arrivée malgré une réservation effectuée à l’avance. Nous avons donc annulé. Trois heures plus tard, le propriétaire m’a appelé pour s’excuser en expliquant qu’il était dans un avion et qu’il n’avait pas le temps de parler car il devait reprendre un vol 25 minutes plus tard. Situation inacceptable pour un logement réservé à l’avance.
• MERYL (4/5): - La vue est très belle, l'hôtel a un bon potentiel Mais c'est très mal entretenu et cela ne correspond plus vraiment bien aux photos et descriptions indiquées. La piscine était très sale : eau trouble, présence de feuilles et d’algues, lumière arrachée et apparente. Le jacuzzi était totalement inutilisable : vide, rempli de terre et de feuilles. Il nous a même été indiqué que nous devions le nettoyer et le remplir nous-mêmes. La robinetterie est défectueuse : certains robinets sont cassés et l’eau ne s’écoule pas sur un des deux. La douche était bouchée. Bref plein de points très décevants au vue du prix et de la prestation attendue.
• Dominique (8/5): A beautiful discovery. - The staff (Awilda and the gards) was very nice and polite, attentive to our needs, friendly without being too much. The breakfasts were delicious, with fresh fruits, juice, bread ,jam, eggs and more. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a beautiful view . The location was great : close enough to everything we needed, yet far enough from the town center to avoid the noise.

Schöner Pool mit sehr guten Sitzsäcken Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter Das große Zimmer mit dem eigenen Außenbett war sehr angenehm Sehr hellhörig was sehr gestört hätte wenn wir nicht die meiste Zeit die Unterkunft für uns gehabt hätte. • Javier (10/5): CALIDEZ Y TRANQUILIDAD - Una experiencia absolutamente maravillosa. Desde el primer momento se siente como estar en casa: el ambiente es súper acogedor, familiar y cuidado al detalle. Quiero destacar especialmente a las empleadas, cuya amabilidad y cercanía hacen que la estancia sea aún más especial; siempre atenta, sonriente y dispuesta a ayudar en todo. El hotel transmite una sensación de seguridad total, con vigilancia 24 horas, aunque al mismo tiempo tiene ese encanto tan hogareño que hace que te sientas tan cómodo que podías dejar la habitación abierta sin preocuparte por nada. Las vistas son simplemente espectaculares, perfectas para desconectar y disfrutar. El desayuno es delicioso, muy completo y preparado con mucho cariño, y la limpieza es impecable en todo momento. En resumen, todo ha sido perfecto. Sin duda, un lugar al que volvería una y otra vez. 💯 todo estuvo perfecto, no tengo nada que no me gustara
• Patricia (9/5): - La ubicación es excelente para ir a playa las ballenas, playa bonita y playa escondida. Si quieres ir al pueblo necesitas un vehículo porque son 50 minutos andando aproximadamente, pero en quad o moto se hace rápido. Tuvimos un problema con el agua caliente pero lo solucionaron, fueron muy amables. Awilda se encarga de todo lo de la casa, es muy atenta y servicial, nos solucionó todos los problemas que tuvimos y nos cuidó las maletas hasta que las recogimos, muy buena profesional. Nuestra habitación tenía el baño fuera y era un poco engorroso, es algo que venía claro en nuestra reserva pero no nos fijamos. Hay que pagar en metálico o hacerlo yendo al banco en persona, el trámite no es complicado pero si lleva algo de tiempo.

• Hernan (10/5): Un hotel auténtico para vivir Las Terrenas - Samaná - Un hotel para vivir la armonía de Las Terrenas. Nada de lujos, es un hotel familiar en medio de una vegetación espectacular. Las habitaciones sencillas, bien limpias y con buenas vistas y excelente energía. Volveremos a probar mas habitaciones del hotel! Si vas caminando y quieres salir a restaurantes está un poco lejos, sin embargo nosotros alquilamos un Quad y nos fué genial, incluso los días de lluvia tropical. Las playas de la zona del hotel son hermosas!

Beliggenheden og atsmosfæren. Udsigt over et grønt stykke natur og havet. Stilheden. Skøn morgenmad mod ekstra betaling. Stedet bør anskaffe en nødgenerator, da det kan ske at strømnen går i byen.

• Claudia (10/5): Escapada de cuento - El lugar es precioso, alejado y privado, el personal es muy amable y Valerio el anfitrión un encanto, las habitaciones tienen vista al mar, en la que yo me quedé incluso terraza privada, lo ideal es tener moto o carro, toda la casa tiene muy buena decoración que te hace querer disfrutar cada rincón, me encantó.

From the warm welcome to the well-equipped villa and id - The host was incredibly welcoming and friendly, always happy to share local knowledge and assist us with anything we needed. The location was perfect, and our beautiful room featured a balcony overlooking the pool with stunning ocean views. We had an amazing time here — even though the room was cool and comfortable with excellent air conditioning, we found ourselves spending most of our time on the balcony daybed. It was pure bliss to relax, listening to the wildlife, with the gentle sounds of insects and birds as we drifted off in the mosquito-enclosed outdoor bed. It was a shame we had to return our rental car, or I would have loved to stay longer and keep enjoying the beautiful location and warm hospitality.

• Claudia (10/5): Oasis paradisíaco - El sitio es mucho más encantador en persona que en las fotos, parece que estás en una isla de Grecia o Italia, está decorado con muy buen gusto. Valerio, el anfitrión es un encanto junto con el personal siempre dispuesto ayudar. Las vistas desde los cuartos son preciosas, desde el que yo me quedé al despertar ves el mar y por la tarde el atardecer, con una terraza privada. De verdad precioso.
• Sahba (9/5): Atemberaubende Aussicht und Ruhe mit kleinen Abstrichen - Der Aussicht ist atemberaubend! Man ist umgeben von nichts außer Natur, hört die grillen und Vögel mit voller Energie und in der Ferne sieht man den Ozean in seiner vollen Pracht. Etwas sehr wertvolles wenn man dann mal nach Las Terrenas geht und sich dem Lärm und Chaos dort aussetzt, dann weiß man es umso mehr zu schätzen. - das personal ist absolut Weltklasse. Der Verwalter Valerio ist unglaublich nett und stets bereit, mit einem tip auszuhelfen und einem bei vielem entgegenzukommen. Das geht so weit, dass er uns seinen Roller für einen extrem guten Preis geliehen hat, den man so in las terrenas nicht bekommt. Und auch die haushelfer sind wunderbar, stets bereit zum helfen. - Pool wird täglich gesäubert, jedoch durch extrem viel Natur drum herum leider dennoch jedes Mal sehr schnell voll mit Blättern usw. Dennoch ein großes Plus in dieser Hitze - die Ausstattung ist sehr veraltet, sehr begrenzt zum selber kochen (was aber laut Besitzer eh nur eine Ausnahme ist, denn in der Hochsaison ist die Küche für Touristen tabu. - generell könnte vieles kleine Nachbesserungen gebrauchen, z.b die Dusche in unserem Zimmer war mehr als fragwürdig und kaum Wasserdruck, im anderen Zimmer roch das Wasser aus der Dusche extrem nach Eisen. - ohne Fahrzeug ist man etwas aufgeschmissen wobei es noch akzeptabel ist, man muss ca 10 Minuten einen Stellen Hang hochlaufen, aber mit motoconchos etc. ist das auch keine große Sache (falls man eins findet)

• Erickvasquez23 (5/5): Love the nature around, but the conditions of the property let me down - The view was great. The room had a gorgeous sea view; the property is surrounded by nature. Hearing the sounds of nature at all times was outstanding. Ultimately, the surroundings were the best part. The size of the room and property is great. There's a view to the pool, which is nice. There's a balcony with seating. The common areas of the property are big. There's also a garage, which comes in handy if you have a car (we did). The price is not high. The conditions of the property let me down. I think the property has a great potential, especially when you see the photos of the surroundings. However, the place itself currently looks a bit tired/ran down. It can improve significantly with some painting and deep cleaning of some elements (ex. water taps, toilet, etc). Hot water ended up not being reliable during our stay. While the owner acted diligent to our messages, it seems like the fixes done by the plumber were not totally effective, leaving us with 4 out 5 showers done with cold water over our stay. The payment had to be done on cash. I had even left the property after the stay and the owner had to call me to ask for the payment; I had thought it was just going to be charged automatically from my credit card, but it was not the case; it was an unexpected situation . While it's true that it was clearly stated in the booking specifications (the owner reminded me, as I hadn't really spotted it), I just didn't expect it, especially in 2024. I can't remember the last time I had to pay in cash for accommodation; in booking.com I've never had to do so. I've been using booking.com for over 8 years now. The owner did give us a small reimbursement (just under 10% of the cost of the stay) for the complications and disappointments we experienced. I appreciated seeing the right commercial gesture given the situation, but I'm unsure if it was enough in relation to how we felt the experience was. The owner was receptive at all times. The owner acknowledged the situation and expressed intent to improve those in the property, which is good. I hope this is effectively the case for future renters, because the surroundings are really great. However, in my personal case, I wouldn't repeat.

• מאיה (8/5): Beautiful stay at someone’s villa, great VFM - Awesome value for money, truly a luxurious experience in comparison to other places in Las Terrenas. We had the place all to ourselves, enjoying the pool and the beautiful view. Beware it’s more like sleeping in a room in someone’s villa, rather than a hotel. That was fine with us but wasn’t clear upon booking. We didn’t meet the owner throughout our visit, in fact we were completely alone for the entire first day and check in process was odd. A few staff members showed up later. Lastly, it’s hard to find this place on google maps

• Arturo (7/5): A nice hotel boutique on the hills of Las Terrenas - This is a beautiful hotel boutique on the hills of Las Terrenas. The villa counts with spacious rooms with a great view on the forest and sea (depending which room you choose). Playa escondida is close by, however, be aware that it is accessible only through an adventurous walk of around 10 minutes via an unofficial path in the jungle. The location is great, in a calm residentiary area. Renting a car or a scooter is however recommended, since without it, it can be tricky to reach the other beach and restaurants. Note that a parking area is available. The host is helpful and responsive in case of questions. While this property has recently been added on Booking, l believe that several small things can be improved; for instance, the cleaning. During some days, the room has not been cleaned (amenities such as toilet paper, hand soap were missing), even though it has been specifically instructed to the staff. Also, during the first three days the water of the two pools turned completely green, and have been cleaned afterwards with its original blue colour. Breakfast-wise, the choice is limited.

The room was lovely: it had a jacuzzi we enjoyed in the evenings, a private balcony/terrace area, and the pool was just a skip away.

Great location/host - Everything was impeccable: great view, super comfy bedroom and perfect location. Might be the best accommodation I've ever been to in my travels. Valerio the host, was extremely friendly and welcoming, and helped out with all the requests/questions. Definitely recommended. I loved everything.
