Guest Reviews

- Brian (10/5): Nice room, friendly staff - The staff were very friendly and the room was really nice. The low reviews I read prior to arriving did worry me. But when I checked in and entered the room it was very nice and clean with a spacious bathroom. The room was a good 40 second walk to the pub for a nice cold drink. Had no safety issues with my stay here at the Broken Hill Hotel. It is a fair bit away from the town but it wasn't really an issue for me.
- Greg (3/5): Sorry we stayed there. - The bathroom was good. The tv pixillated constantly.
The bed was pushed into a corner and uncomfortable. There wasn’t any space in the room. There wasn’t any tea/coffee making facilities. The fridge door scraped on the carpet when you opened it. Can’t fill the kettle in the hand basin, had to fill it using the shower.
The surroundings were noisy. Unsecured care park. Wandering locals in hotel property.
- Rob (7/5): -
- Therese (7/5): - It was available It was very over priced for a very shabby room
- Dominique (2/5): On ne ne reverra jamais plus dans cet établissement - Rien Tout

- Blair (8/5): Clean and comfortable for age of establishment - Clean and comfortable bed Parking and security of vehicles
- Rosemary (9/5): -
- James (1/5): - My brother, who lives in Kalgoorlie paid for us to stay in the Plaza hotel, rather than the Broken Hill hotel in Bolder
- McDonald (5/5): - Price was average for accommodation in the area We were behind a kitty bar, the shower flooded, and part of the door frame had been replaced
- Del (8/5): -
- annette (3/5): Don’t feel this property is suitable to be on booking.com - Was given extra towels to use as pillows Poor lock on door, no facilities to make drinks (no cups/plates/cutlery), no extra pillows or hand towel or soap. Toilet seat broken, reported but not repaired during stay. Was unaware that it was a ‘skimpy’ bar, as not from oz would’ve had to google the phrase anyway!

- Gissele (5/5): - I like the parking is in front of the room The room is dirty when we arrived inside the room there is dirty mug on the table and the bedsheets has a hair that’s why I thinj they did not change it. 😣

- Anthony (8/5): It’s like Best & Less. It ain’t fancy it it’scheap - The price
- Darryl (7/5): Aussies use Soap - It was reasonably quiet. Having to locate a supermarket that was open to purchase standard items that were missing, eg soap, coffee cup, cutlery...I asked my neighbour if he was provided with soap; he replied: "What's that"? And chuckled.

- Marissa (5/5): - Coming from Brisbane Qld to The Broken Hill was definitely a culture shock. However the manager at the bar was helpful and the locals were friendly. I was concerned for my safety at one point but turned out ok thankfully. Amenities within the cabin need upgrading.
No soap was offered in the bathroom. No tea or coffee was supplied either. And drain in the shower seemed blocked.
- Kevin (8/5): - Clean safe parking comfortable bed. No channels working on tv
- Leonard (8/5): A repeat stay - Straightforward accommodation with a comfortable bed.
Counter meals are excellent when available.
Easy parking for larger vehicles.
Staff are welcoming and friendly. Car park a little dusty.
No tea or coffee available even though a jug is provided.

- Belinda (9/5): Apart from it being the only room in the area that was available, it was one of the best , older motels - Apart from it being the only room in the area that was available, it was one of the best , older motels. Very clean, bed was comfy. Shower was hot & had great pressure. Even had a microwave. Had dinner at the pub and the food was great Nothing to note

- Buckee (2/5): Hell hole - Leaving It was really grim. It is in the car park of the bottle shop drive-in. Our room was next to a skip bin. The dirty windows were heavily screened. The door looked like it had been kicked in. The light bulbs had no shades. There was a kettle but no cups. The bathroom sink tap was sagging. Hot water ran out after one shower. There was a space for a table but no table. The curtains fell off when we opened them. The toilet was stained, and the floor was dirty in the corners. Two old thin pillows and while sheets were clean, the quilt had stains. As for staff, the skimpy bar maids were all we saw on check-in.
It was the only thing available in Kalgoorlie, and there is a reason why!

- Mina (10/5): An Awesome place and a great Value for money. - Awesome place and lovely team especially the Irish reception lady who helped he have the room 12:00 instead of 15:00 :) nothing
- Danial (8/5): Value for money with a few exceptions. - For the money spent, the value return was good. Staff were friendly. Facility was what I expected. Locals deliberately dropping rose thorns on the entrance way matt into the motel room. A hazard because those thorns stick to your boots as you enter the room adding to the hazard inside the premises. There needs to be security to usher them along as I witnessed a fight outside my room at night. I don't care what you people think these locals know full well that is wrong.
- Srinivasan (7/5): Good -
- Pitt (10/5): Good - Staff where amazing cheers to Stefan the cook and Ella the manager
- Anke (9/5): Good meal, comfy bed, what else can a person ask for! - Beautiful hotel. Clean tidy rooms. Nothing
- Diarmuid (9/5): Good place for accommodation for a work trip - Clean spacious rooms with ensuite and good aircon
- Joeri (1/5): Nightmare, broken in, robbed, no support, ‘failing’ cctv! - / Someone violently broke into our room in the night and stole our personal belongings. It started with a very unprofessional staff that was sharing our room details and itinerary plans with everyone in the hotel bar (with a rather unpleasant atmosphere). Then the room of the door had a weird locking system and there is no extra chain for safety. It turned out the thief knew exactly which room to choose, how to break in and what stuff to grab (he might have seen us in the bar). Afterwards, we heard from the police that the cctv system was NOT working as well with cameras on our door… And after calling the owner, the same night, who was “far away” and couldn’t help, neither any of the staff was available, we haven’t heard from them about any ways to solve the issues. Please be very careful if you decide to stay at this place!

o the Superpit Lookout - Location is great right next to the Superpit Lookout, food was surprisingly good for the price. I stayed on a Saturday night and it sounded like a football stadium with all the chanting. I needed to get up early otherwise I would have liked to join the crowd.
