• Karun (4/5): Wrote the details above - The location is in a small town. Which is probably the only good thing about the stay (unfortunately) This room is right next to the road, and it gets pretty loud. There aren’t any actual firm windows for the unit. So noise from outside travels into the room. Walls are thin inside the place. So you hear the people in the other rooms. There’s a rule to not use the shower and microwave after 9pm, cause of the thin walls & that the rooms behind those walls will hear you. There was a foul smell in the bathroom unfortunately. Which came from the drain mostly. Overall it wasn’t the best and really uncomfortable. So had to make do.

• Lynn (1/5): Never again will I get scamed like this - 🙁 Nothing..no communication..no access to the property. We didn't even stay. We went during incredibly bad weather, and they did not clear the entrance to the property, to which my friend traveled with me had difficulty getting around and couldn't even access the property. No parking. We were told on arrival..street parking..which there was none due to the snow. We had to leave and find another hotel in a blizzard. Also, to take it a step worse.. was told if we didn't find it acceptable on arrival.. we would get a full refund..absolute lie!! Were told, too bad.. couldn't do anything about weather..but couldn't even get in. A tenant came out advising what the owner said..owner never called. Only sent tenant out and then called said they were not the owner and would give me a number to reach them..hung up on me. Nightmare..absolute nightmare. Didn't care about anything to communicate.. just a scam.. if a deal is too good to be true, it is. We drove hours to get there..no room and no answers and left to find another hotel in a blizzard. I have booked with Booking.com..a few times actually..not after this
• Zenovia (5/5): OK on a budget only if you need a place to lay your head. - It was very affordable. It had a washer and dryer, nice new fridge. Upgraded large bathroom. They did obviously try to fix the place up. If you are just sleeping, it's fine. If you need a place to chill in while on vacation, this is not it. It was clean-ish, but not top notch. Great location. Extremely basic accommodation. Beds are mattress and boxspring on the floor. If you are older, you may have a hard time getting up from the bed. Very old house, thin walls. Got a text stating not to make noise (shower) before 7 and after 9. Could hear others music and conversations. Porch felt unstable as it is very old. Sheet on the mattress had holes and pillows are very thin.. Towels are tissue thin, no face cloths. Ran out of toilet paper and looked everywhere but there was no extra. We did find someone's pajamas in a cupboard and half a box of macaroni left in the kitchen. Thankfully we had a kleenex box. Would I stay again? Probably not but it was adequate in terms of shelter.

I would not take a friend there as most people may not find it s enough. the room is tiny, just a bed that touches three walls and an overhead ceiling fan. Parking on the street is okay for the summer, not sure about winter. A bit noisy, close to the street. That said the place is very clean and the price is a giveaway. I would stay there again, but I would not bring someone there. Think of it as a hostel with more privacy.

• Karen (7/5): Good - Basic small space that was clean and organized for easy entry. I had a tiny private toilet closet attached to the room. Most guests use a shared washroom. This feature made it more comfortable as a single woman. The price is very affordable. All of the guests were quiet and respectful. It was a very small space with shared amenities, but that is why it is so cheap.
• Ben (1/5): Cramped, dank, and bare room that doesn't meet basic standards for rental. - This accommodation is inadequate for an airbnb or booking.com listing. The room was dank, cramped, and shabby. The bed barely fit in it and there were no end tables or other furniture except a small, metal round patio table and two folding metal chairs just outside the door. It was so bad and hot that we couldn't stay. The description and pictures are very misleading. The owner seemed to understand but offered no reimbursement. The room rate was good but now I know why. (Note that 5 of the 10-star ratings here are from the same person, Marcello.)
• Butler (8/5): A great cheap way to enjoy Montreal on a tight budget for travelers with a car! - Price was the main thing I was seeking. At this price point I was happy with the accommodations. The kitchen was clean and well stocked. The airbnb (really more of a rooming house) was quiet and reasonably clean. The room was very small but the bed was great, and I appreciated the effort at decorating it with interesting artwork. The artwork theme was underwater marine life. I would have expected something like that in Florida not Canada! But it was nice. At this low a price I worried about pests (mice or roaches) but thankfully I did not see any of that! Yay! The room was relatively clean, however the maid did not sweep under the bed. There were candy wrappers, a lot of dust and even a sock from a previous guest. To the owner: please remind your maid to take a few minutes to sweep under the beds! Guests care about stuff like that. And it is easy to do!
