Guest Reviews
- Mathew (10/5): - Location great staff great stroll to the water and big room and TV would stay again
- Elliott (6/5): Served a purpose - The hotel was in a good location Missing the simple things, no bed side lights, just one very bright room light with the only switch by the door. Vertical blinds and no curtains, as dawn broke the light came in. An exceptionally small bathroom, missing toilet brush
- Stephen (8/5): This place was ok and would stay again - It suited for my appointment I had in the area
- Adam (8/5): -
- Wayne (6/5): The stay was ok but the cost was not backed up by the accommodation. We thought too expensive for what you got. An examp - The location suited We thought it was greatly overvalued
- Mary (9/5): -

- Nelia (7/5): We stayed one night and easy for amenities. - We did not come down for breakfast but it's OK the facilities we're all neat and tidy. Staff we're all friendly and clearly communicate. Bathroom window should have screen and open in the evening. Get fresh air.
- jasmina (4/5): Worst sleep I have had but great staff and bar - The bar itself, both levels were great with great food. Beautifully renovated.
The hotel beds and pillows were fairly comfortable. The rooms are very standard, could not sleep
Until 3am due to the sound from downstairs music.
They were as clean as possible but so dated and had a bad smell probably from the dated room.

- Catherine (8/5): -
- Janette (6/5): - The was a band playing till 12 downstairs, as a result it was impossible to get to sleep. We would never have booked if we had know this in advance.
- Gail (9/5): - Staff where more than accommodating informed us of details regarding function
- Michael (6/5): - That the hotel formed part of the location The room is average and dated and the noise from the entertainment was very loud
- Jen (5/5): - Restaurant Pillows
- Karen (9/5): Great - Great location and facilities

- David (9/5): -

- James (3/5): Underwhelmed with the accommodation - Friendly staff Rooms are seriously outdated and barely functional.
Also very noisey with a stagnet smell
- Lisa (8/5): - Friendly staff, great handy location to Warners Bay
- Nicole (7/5): Enjoyable - Convenient. Difficult check in procedure.
- Kathrine (8/5): Stayed here as we attended a surprise party for a friend top venue - Convenient to function All good
- Michael (1/5): - Nothing Everything
- Amie (10/5): Best sleep and treated soo well by check in - Dinner downstairs was great and the room was amazing!
- Zenna (7/5): Overall good! - Rooms were clean, food is really good & it was quiet at night. Bed wasn’t that comfy & security guard bailed us up and was quite rude when we were trying to go to our room.
- James (10/5): -
- Karen (5/5): -
- Brooke (10/5): -
- Corey (7/5): good place to stay for a night or 2 - venue location was good and food was very nice. instead of 2 single beds, one queen or king would have been much better and more comfy.
- Byron (2/5): -
- Neil (5/5): -
- Mohsin (10/5): -
- MARGARET (5/5): My stay was pleasant and the staff in the hotel/restaurant were exceptional and friendly - The location was convenient and the hotel/restaurant were excellent I felt that the price is quite expensive for the room size and amenities
- BRIAN (1/5): -
- Robert (8/5): I will certainly consider staying here whenever the need arrises again. - All staff were courteous and very helpful, however I was particularly impressed with the young Asian lady (sorry I didn't get her name) who we first met at the bar when first entered, we didn't have a reservation although her attention and friendly manner were so impressive I wouldn't have even considered looking for anywhere else, this is not for any other reason but for her manner in which she offered sincere attention and assistance, very impressive! Only one small item however the only thing that seemed out of place with the high standard of everything else. the sliding door from the ensuite had no inside handle to grip to open the door from inside. My 86 year old lady friend found the door awkward to open.
- Russell (3/5): Dodgy old school and overpriced accom - Proximity to hotel Didn't know I had to check-in at the bar, there were no secure parking, no bowls or plates cutlery or toaster for breakfast
- Shelley (4/5): -
- Darren (6/5): Overall pleasant - The venue itself is really good The rooms are not on par with cost of a night stay. Really need to upgrade the rooms
- Chris (8/5): -
- Natasha (2/5): -
- Tim (5/5): - Location, food and staff were great. The accomodation is above a pub that closes at 3am with live music until 1am which you can hear from the room. I like live music, but not where I’m sleeping. The staff told me upon arrival, but it obviously wasn’t ideal for someone who wanted to sleep, not party.
- Shane (8/5): -
- Cameron (8/5): -
- Dani (2/5): Never again - Clean Absolute maze of a place, gotta go all over to get out after a certain time. If you’re a smoker don’t bother it’s just too hard to find your way out and if you do get out can’t get back in until management are there. Sorry but for $225 for one night small cramped room not good value at all
- Glen (9/5): -
- Sbabs (7/5): Enjoyable stay overall. - Hotel and its restaurant was excellent and very modern. Rooms although a little basic were clean and reasonably large.
Bed was comfortable. Rooms were a little basic but clean and reasonably large. There was no bedside lights and few points to charge devices. Bathroom had few places to put toiletries etc.
- Cheryl (3/5): Could do much better with comfort and cleanliness. - Location was great. Room very basic, bad smell and little ventilation.
Dirty bathroom mat from previous guest and no replacement daily. No toaster in room.
- G (10/5): -
- Sarah (7/5): Nice clean quiet place to stay - Location is great - nice new hotel Accomodation is upstairs via lift and through fire doors - bit of a pain with lots of luggage
- Monique (3/5): - Clean,comfortable. Way too noisy!!
- JULYANNE (9/5): - Perfectly located. Lovely meals onsite
- Breannon (10/5): Well worth the money - Despite being above the music on a Saturday night, when you go to the room, it couldn’t be heard. It had 4 beds, mini kitchen minus stove top and oven. Shower was big and the service from the manager was phenomenal as she showed me where to go and exactly what and where everything was. So happy with our last minute decision for a hotel for my family with a 10, 4 and pregnant woman
- Michelle (9/5): -
- Cameron (8/5): -
- Tom (4/5): - The staff The room
- Melinda (6/5): -
- Deborah (4/5): Whilst staff were good, room for price was overstated, issues with wifi limited my ability to work w - Location Beds - Wufi issues - Price
- Jason (4/5): You need to up grade the rooms to match the rest of the hotel - The pub part was fantastic and modern clean with great staff The rooms were not up to the rest of the building the bathroom was pathetic and so small we had to dress in the bedroom, we are not large or overweight people
- Luscombe (1/5): -
- Michael (8/5): -
- Leigh (6/5): - The hotel is great but the accommodation is certainly not value for money
- Johnson (9/5): -
- Matthew (10/5): -
- JULYANNE (9/5): Great food, pleasant staff, plenty of room - Proximity
- James (4/5): -
- Glen (1/5): - Nothing Poor finish in the rooms, room smelled cold shower water bed incomfortable over priced
- Lyndon (5/5): Would visit WBH again but would not stay the night for those prices. - Warners Bay Hotel is a great venue recently renovated. Top food and a great mezzanine area with bars upstairs and down. Staff were great. Right across the road from Lake Macquarie great location. The accommodation and price for a very small room was way over-priced. Our window looked straight out to another brick wall.
- Caroline (10/5): -
- Jess Hite (3/5): Underwhelming for the price tag - Location is amazing. Super close to main street, restaurants and the lake. Easy to use public transport. Pub has been renovated and nice. Room was underwhelming. Not clean and needs some updating. There was no hooks for towels, PowerPoint or full length mirror in the bathroom. Only one small bedside table with no lamps, no curtains- only blinds that let in alot of light. The hallway light stays on all night and let's alot of light through the door. There was a strange white splatter stain on the carpet, up the side of the bed and all over the bedside table. Check in is noy easy- we asked 3 different staff members before being pointed in the right direction.
- Nicole (10/5): - Staff were very helpful, went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable.
Beds were comfy, it was quiet, clean. Shower could be updated
- Sharyn (9/5): -
- Candece (9/5): - It was a central location to restaurants, supermarkets and parks. Nil
- Peter (2/5): Very disappointing for the price. - Very clean and the pub is fine and good food. For the price we expected a larger room, a daily room spruce up, AN IRON! Really overpriced in our experience. We will seek alternative next time in this part of the world.
- Elizabeth (5/5): Ok music did not stop me from sleeping but it would annoy some people - Clean good location Live music til 1 am
- Bates (5/5): - TV didn't work
- Tony (3/5): -
- Michael (7/5): -
- Diane (5/5): Great staff and service, accomodation poor - Location We weren’t told before booking that live music would be playing until midnight so we would be unable to sleep before then. Room was very basic and quite pricey at $220 for the night.
- Elizabeth (9/5): -
- Mark (3/5): -
- Almendra (1/5): -
- Laura (9/5): Great stay for a family of 6. Would stay again! - 2 Queen beds and 2 single beds. Great for a family with 4 kids. Dining table and kitchenette. Beds were comfortable and location is amazing.
- Peta (7/5): - Convenient location and enjoyed being able to have a drink when we arrived. The room we stayed in had a bad smell, similar to a sewage smell.
- Julie (7/5): -
- Kershaw (7/5): -
- Willard (5/5): Disappointing would not stay at this venue again. - Location was good
No Breakfast The heavy rock band played till 3am extremely loud could not sleep vacated room 7 30am. Would not recommend stay at this venue. Staff were very obliging in dining area however the meals were very ordinary and over priced.
- Ricky (10/5): -
- Carolyn (4/5): Disappointing considering the price you pay. - We didn't have hot water so that was extremely uncomfortable. We thought the TV was in an odd position for the location of the bed. There was no toilet brush in the bathroom which would have been handy.
- Allan (6/5): - Location was good for the purpose of my visit. No bed side lights, you needed to get out of bed to switch light on/off
- Jenny (3/5): Not a good stay, won’t be booking again. - Location Toilet leaked, fridge so iced up you couldn’t put anything in the freezer, swapped room. New room TV didn't work as it didn't have an antenna. NO hot water at all so had to have a cold shower and no one was around to ask why.
Cost of the room didn’t match the room quality, way too expensive for what it was.
I have emailed the property and haven’t received a response, we left too early to speak to anyone, no one was there.
To be clear, the staff we dealt with in the afternoon were great, it is the room and its lack of upkeep that gets the low score.
- Hannah (1/5): Terrible experience - The staff were extremely rude, accusing my tired partner of being to drunk and telling us we were to be confined to our room for the night or they will call the police was absolutely disgusting, I tried to explain and they would not listen, neither me or my partner will ever stay here again.
