- Anita (8/5): -
- Pip Close (10/5): The perfect weekend escape! - Great continental breakfast, generous amount of food provided. Nothing to suggest
- Scott (9/5): - The accommodation is great. The inclusions really make it superb.
- Julia (10/5): If I had been able to complete the above questions, I would give Blue Wren, the highest level. - Room was well furnished. Bed was very comfortable with more than adequate doona for Orange's cooler overnight temperatures. Loads of breakfast cereals to choose from, bread, orange juice and plenty of jams etc were provided.
Very pretty courtyard with table and 2 chairs outside the room, where you could sit and have breakfast and view their garden. Nothing. Unfortunately though, I am unable to enter my ratings for the 6 questions above
- Joe (10/5): - Second time to visit Blue Wren Retreat and didn't disappoint! Loved the spacious room, comfy bed and bathroom. It was 0° overnignt during our visit but the room was more than warm enough with the provided oil heater and electric blankets. Will stay again next time in Orange!

- Maeve (10/5): - Les and Carmel were very accommodating. Very comfy bed, lots of space and some breakfast and snacks were provided. Around a 40 min walk into centre or a 5 min drive. Would recommend, thank you!
- Beth (10/5): Such an nice stay and close to town - Comfortable and clean room None at all
- Toni (9/5): Comfortable, quiet, clean - Plenty of breakfast provisions + bottle of wine.
Pretty outlook onto a colourful garden
Quiet and a super comfy bed Without a car its location a good 40 minute walk into the town which I didn’t mind but for some people could be difficult. So a great spot to stay but with your own car
- Sue Walsh (8/5): Great value for money. Comfortable and safe which was important given I was a solo female traveller. - Great breakfast options available. Clean. Comfortable bed. Nice and closed to city area.

- Janet (10/5): Beautiful Orange - Comfortable private room easy walk to the beautiful Botanical gardens. Continental breakfast supplied a lovely bottle of wine on arrival.
- Neil (8/5): - Comfy bed with electric blanket. Aircon / heating broken.
Location rather difficult esp.if you don't have sat nav.
- Vitaly (10/5): I do recommend this property - Nice and compact. Private. Breakfast was provided. Beautiful garden. Clean Toilet bowl needs attention. Occasionally after flushing, water leaks inside. One has to press both flush buttons few times to stop leakage
- Jeana (9/5): Relaxing stay - Comfy bed ,large ,good shower . Table and chairs outside Really nothing , all good . Only thing that could have been helpful would have been a parasol for the table and chairs .
- Alex (10/5): -
- Nilanka (9/5): Value for money - Location and quiet are Wish if there was a microwave oven
- Ciro (10/5): Great short stay accomodation for a great price. - Very convenient, quiet & comfortable.
Has everything you need for a couple of night stay. Nothing to not like.
- Geoffrey (10/5): Great value stay - Location, cleanliness and great value Could connect to Wifi but couldn’t connect to internet. TV was very slow to respond to remote.
- Belinda (9/5): Relaxing - Quite clean and the pretty garden. Breakfast and a nice wine on arrival lovely. Maybe the fridge should be in the wardrobe.
- Rosemary L (10/5): This accommodation is a unique way to stay in Orange if you want an authentic country stay. - The room was overall clean and the bed very comfortable. Nice quiet area and lovely garden surroundings. The light breakfast that was provided in the room was just enough for us. I would definitely recommend this little gem and would stay there again. Thank you for your hospitality. Nothing negative about this accommodation, just a tip, maybe a small shelf in the shower to put your toiletry on.
- Rhonda (9/5): -
- Marie (10/5): Wonderful stay and comfy room - Specious room with all room facilities. Lovely supplies for breakfast. The host was wonderful. I recommend this lovely accommodation. None
- Cindy (10/5): Blue Wren. A peaceful oasis. - The bed was so comfy. Great shower. They thought of everything. Breakfast things in fridge and cupboard. I loved all the bird decorations around the room. Easily accessible. Peaceful. Bird song outside was beautiful Nothing.
- Rennick (8/5): Satisfied. Still waiting for solo occupancy refund. - Most things!! A microwave would have been handy.
An extra table, rather that the fridge top?

- Crisalette (10/5): - The cosy and cute queen size bedroom is everything what we need. We book 2 nights for the Bathrust 100 car racing event. Since I can find accommodation in Bathrust , I decided to search nearby Orange. Exceeded our expectations, thanks for the wine although I wasn’t able to drink it, milk , bread and brekky cereals:-) Satisfactory stay
- Kharla (10/5): -
- Madeleine (10/5): Lovely room, warm and welcoming. Very comfortable. Highly recommend 🙏🏻💙 - The warmth of the room, the comfortability, the attention to detail Nothing
- Susan (9/5): -
- Renee (9/5): Blue Wren Retreat - Your Own Cozy Home Away From Home - - very comfy bed!
- great, spacious shower.
- felt like our own space.
- good space to park our car.
- provided me with gluten free bread even though I was happy to bring my own (extremely thoughtful! Thank you!)
- lovely garden to look at outside.
Overall, it was a very welcoming place, well-positioned near shops, hosted by wonderful people. Only slight downside was the lack of space to prepare any food - but it wasn't much of a downside.
- Dodger52 (9/5): Relaxing - A lttle out of the cbd but only a few minutes by car. Central heating kept the room warm despite close to zero outside. Breakfast provisions were much appreciated. All good
- Jacy (10/5): -
- Eric (10/5): -
- Hayden (10/5): -
- Graeme (9/5): Superb -
- Graham (8/5): Quiet, pleasant, good value - Breakfast provided was basic 'continental' - cereal, toast and condiments, but perfectly adequate. A bottle of wine also provided, which was very welcome. Nothing needed improvement. It is in Orange suburbs so a car is necessary.
- Geoff (10/5): Lovely hosts, so friendly . Continental brekky provided - Close to town, north facing, large room and could see the sunset
Own key to front door.
Little outdoor setting by cottage garden
Lots of love put into the blue wren cottage in decor. All good
- Laura (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (7/5): The price was very affordable, but was very cold inside the room. - Location was good, the room was clean and fresh.
Could have had a light outside so you could see going into the room, lucky I had a torch. Very cold in the room, seemed like there was no heating. No coffee only tea available. Vegemite, jam and margarine and wine were opened in the fridge. ( not very hygienic ) maybe single serve would be better.
The noise from the main house was quite loud at times and the front door slamming through the night was annoying.
- Janine (10/5): Exceptional -
- John (8/5): Very good -
- Sandra (8/5): I enjoyed staying there very much. Would book again. - Easy access, comfortable, quiet and close to everywhere I was going. The chairs provided were very hard and not very comfortable to sit on
- Olga (9/5): The best possible stay for this money - It was a great value for money. We liked how functional the place was. There was even food to eat for breakfast. And the shower was very nice too, with strong water pressure. We also appreciated the privacy. And the TV (we just linked out streaming services and enjoyed it liked if we were at home) At times toilet was liking - when you flush the water kept going. But nit for long and it didn’t bother ua too much
- Ignatius (9/5): Superb -
- Kirsten (7/5): Friendly and convenient home away from home just a short drive from the centre of Orange. -
- Hua (8/5): Very good -
- Jacqueline (10/5): Exceptional - Cute cosy
Warm cuddly
Comfy

Felt like home
- Scott (9/5): Enjoyed our stay and included continental breakfast. -
- Burkhard (9/5): Superb - The rich breakfast and the walking distance to the botanical garden with its diverse birds was great
- Rita (10/5): Comfortable stay with beautiful surroundings - Location, beautiful garden and flowers in a quiet area, comfortable bed and pillows, so many inclusions and good strong shower head and thoughtful owners gifted wine, milk, juice, cereal, tea and coffee. NA
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional - Great hosts! Lovely little room.
Cute garden.
Clean!
Would stay again!
- Scott (10/5): Welcoming owners, private space, excellent comfort. -
- Janelle (8/5): Comfortable and clean stay for a couple of nights. - Comfortable room with privacy from the main house. Simple breakfast provided with cereal, toast and spreads. Very clean and a quiet location. Loved the complementary bottle of wine. Nothing
- Helen (10/5): Wonderful, thank you - Les very helpful and friendly. Very easy to find and welcoming by hosts. There was a spider ( quite big ) in bedroom. Also cold tap needs a new washer .
- Marian (10/5): Very nice 👌 - The people great stay lovely great place Everything
- Susan (7/5): Good -
- Barbara (8/5): Great location for a short break in Orange, NSW - Location was great. Continental breakfast supplied, with Twinings tea. Extra touches appreciated, including bottle of wine.
Hosts suggested places to visit, explore and eat. Tourist pamphlets in the room.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ann (9/5): Superb - The place was delightful and within good reach of everything by car. It was noisy from the house next door. I could hear conversations and banging of the front door. It wasn't relaxing as I was very conscious of the owners and their movements. The partition behind the wall hanging wasn't sound proof enough. Also I would have liked a shelf above the fridge or on the wall to have more room to prepare my breakfast. There wasn't enough room on top of the fridge with the toaster and kettle on there. Otherwise, it would have been excellent.
- Keely (10/5): Fantastic stay! - Lovely seperate and private and easy to access
- Poppit (6/5): Accommodation was fine Very disappointed about the wasp sting - Breakfast was adequate. Room was comfortable I suffered a serious sting from a wasp nesting outside the entrance to my accommodation. On arrival I alerted the owners of the urgency of removing the wasps before anyone was stung as the paper wasp is very aggressive. My advice was ignored and 3 days later I suffered the consequences.
- Byron (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (8/5): We enjoyed being able to come n go freely, nice n private. - Great breakfast selection, bottle of wine supplied, off street parking, Cushions on chairs as a bit hard.
- Harwood (9/5): Nice to see flowers right outside the room. - Compact and comfortable. Suitable for short stay.
- Susanne (10/5): Great value. - Cosy, self contained. Bonus bottle of wine. Plenty of breakfast options.
- Eric (9/5): Loved our stay in Orange, clean comfortable room with a fabulously comfy bed in a quiet suburb - Very clean and new style. Good size room and bathroom. Off street parking, separate entrance overlooking a lovely garden that provided privacy. A little out of town in a quiet suburb and short walk to the botanic gardens. Tea coffee and breakfast provided. Plus the most comfy bed I have ever slept on away from home! No table except for a small coffee table although if the weather was a little warmer we would have sat outside at the table in the flower garden area. A little noise does come through the closed off door but the family have dampened this with foam behind a nice tapestry.
- Australblue (9/5): The Orange Blue Wren of happiness. - Everything. Very handy for Orange City Central free car park and favourite food and clothes shops. Parking in their driveway. Nice garden. Quiet area and rest of house. Nice clean place. Very good WiFi speed and security. Big bathroom. Good use of available space. Very minor things like the cold tap vibrated very noisily at all settings, probably just a washer, but makes it hard to get a glass of cold water in the night. It's been like that for the previous two visits to this great place. Working space for a laptop is scarce, but they kindly brought in a larger garden table on request this time. These are minor things, and we have made it our second home when we visit our family in Orange.
- Marie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Michael (9/5): Really enjoyable - Adequate breakfast cereal with milk and juice. Tea & Coffee also provided. The bottle of wine was a nice touch!! Lovely quiet neighbourhood. A small microwave oven would have been useful to warm up some food
- *frank* (8/5): Very good - Very homey and cosy As the room is attached to the main property, there were noise from people in the other house. Kids were playing the piano which was audible in our room.
- Karen (9/5): Will be back if needing to stay in Orange - Clean & breakfast lovely , good location
- Karen (8/5): Nice cosy room - Well located and easy to find. Loved the inclusion of breakfast items. Bed was very comfortable and the room was warm. I appreciated the smart TV Will private message
- Byron (10/5): Exceptional - Great value, warm and welcoming.
- Graeme (8/5): Our stay in Orange. - Location, cleanliness & friendliness of the people in the house. Unfortunately the owners of the property were not away on holidays. Which I believe was would solved most of the problems. There was no microwave, no dishwashing liquid &no control over the heating.
- Shane (10/5): A great choice - Lovely place very comfortable and has everything one could ask for I have nothing bad to say ..can't fault this place at all .. wonderful experience
- Joanna (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was great.
Room was beautiful. Blue wren ornaments were sweet, lovely bed dressing.
Location was coincidentally very close to the friends we were catching up with and easy access to the Northern Distributor Road. Owners were away so we were a tad cold without main house heating on the second evening.
Solved the problem by turning the electric blankets on and sitting on the bed.
Floor tiles were very slippery in the bathroom.
A microwave would've been great as we self cater, but not expected in a BnB.
- Lee (8/5): Very good -
- Robyn (8/5): Very good -
- Anderson (10/5): Exceptional - Attention to detail, we had milk, juice, cereal, bread, butter and jams, coffee, tea, etc. PLUS a beautiful bottle of wine. Plus bottled water.
I have never stayed anywhere that thoughtful. We will definitely be back and next time I will drink the wine, My only complain was that we didn't stay the 2 nights we had booked as we finished our business early so decided to get home to the fur babies.
We will be back.. Thank you
- Leonie (10/5): Cosy stay at a great price - Great place to stay loved the electric blankets & heater & heat switch in spacious bathroom in the cold weather. Breakfast was great
- Miguel (8/5): Comfortable and quiet location - It was a very quiet location and the bed was comfortable The bathroom needs a little work. Noisy tap, leak from the back of the toilet and the grout in the shower needs cleaning/refresh.
- Julie (8/5): Very good -
- Australblue (8/5): Limited space, very cleverly utilised. Almost total quietness, as owners at other end of the house. - Good variety of cereal, bread, milk. Severe water rattle from the cold tap, still there since our previous visit a year ago. No space to use a laptop, but we brought in the outside small table, just as last visit, which luckily was clean for the carpets.
- Peter (9/5): We were very pleased overall with our stay at the blue wren and would consider another stay - Breakfast was good we also liked the outdoor dining area and the tranquil neighbourhood close to botanic gardens also plenty of touring and dining information Space was limited for microwaving and dishwashing purposes
- Liz (8/5): Very good - It was convenient and very comfortable and clean, well equipped and organised for a light breakfast. The wine and glasses were a great touch.
- Byron (10/5): Always a very welcoming, tidy and relaxing stay. -
- Scott (10/5): Exceptional - Loved everything. Special touches including breakfast and wine.
- Susan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ian (8/5): A very comfortable and spacious room in a very convenient location - The room and ensuite were very clean comfortable and welcoming. The shower was excellent.
The provisions for breakfast were generous and a lovely bottle of wine A little awkward washing the dishes in the vanity basin
- Frank (10/5): Very happy. Would stay again! - Basic but has everything you need in a great location. Only 5 mins to town.
Great value for money too!
Netflix, Stan etc was a bonus.
So we're the included bread , milk and cereal was good too.
One less thing you have to buy.
Shower was massive! Bed was too soft for my liking but that's just me.
Still very comfortable
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (8/5): Very good -
