- Khubaib (9/5): Superb - The apartment is very well-furnished and has all the amenities necessary for a stay with family. It even had cleaning liquids, hand soap, large collection of board games and books, etc. which is beyond what can be found in ordinary holiday rentals. The apartment is spacious and very comfortable for 4/5 people which was our case. It is located at an altitude of about 1.200m surronded by lush green panorama with a wonderful view of the mountains all day long. The nearest village, Mühlbach am Hochkönig, is about 10 min drive downhill where there is a supermarket and a bakery along with a few restaurants. For anything more a 20min drive is required to reach Bischofshofen which is a bigger town offering a wider variety of supermarket, shops and restaurants. Salzburg is about 1h drive away and all the other famous locations like St Gilgen, Hallstatt, Bad Reichenhall, Königssee, etc. are within easy reach for a day out. Needless to say that the drives are very pleasant with beautifull sights all along the way. Numerous trekking opportunities are also available near the apartment. All in all, I would rate it as an excellent place to stay if one is looking for a family holiday surrounded by nature and greenery. We were provided with 4 proper pillows only, while we were a group of 5 people. For the 5th person a sofa cushion in a pillow cover was provided which was rather uncomfortable. At the same time we were unable to use the dishwasher. The customer service seemed a bit distant and unable to react quickly to resolve the issues above.
