• Ed (10/5): Een geweldig verblijf op een superplek bij de allerliefste hosts. - De locatie is super: vlakbij de citadel en je loopt zo naar beneden naar de (oude) stad. Het huis is fantastisch gebouwd, met goede materialen. Het appartement is ruim, schoon en van alle gemakken voorzien. Het ontbijt is top. Maar vooral: Emiljos en Chica zijn geweldige hosts en lieve mensen. Andere reviews hebben dit al uitvoerig beschreven. Wij hadden door uitgevallen internet wat moeite (per auto) de locatie te vinden. Weet dat je vanaf boven (de rotonde bij het kasteel) de klinkerweg naar beneden moet nemen, en vervolgens al snel het tweede pad links naar een klein complex woningen moet inslaan. Het is even slikken, omdat je het pad vanuit de auto niet meteen overziet, maar dat gaat snel over. Niets. Het was perfect.

• Dan-Sorin (9/5): Sus pe deal e o casa - Cel mai mult ne-au plăcut gazdele, foarte primitoare si gata să ne satisfacă toate dorințele.Casa este așezata pe deal, vederea spre oraș este superbă iar micul dejun cu produse autohtone este servit pe veranda.Până la zona de localuri se coboară cam 10 min pe jos.Există parcare privata la proprietate dar trebuie un pic de îndemânare deoarece locul este destul de îngust Dușul curge direct pe podeaua băii

• Mendi (9/5): Como en casa - Lo mejor fue conocer a los anfitriones, muy atentos y amables, nos hicieron sentir en casa!!!❤️. Pudimos poner una lavadora, aparcar en la puerta y disfrutar de las espectaculares vistas y desayunos en la terraza. Se encuentra situado al final de la empinada cuesta al castillo, aunque puedes ir andando al centro. La entrada al alojamiento puede parecer complicada ya que es una cuesta algo pronunciada, aunque está pavimentada.
• Kévin (10/5): Génial - Nos hôtes étaient très gentils et nous ont conseillé un restaurant excellent. Le logement est proche du château. Le petit déjeuner avec vue était très bon. Si il faut redire quelque chose c'est que le lit simple était légèrement moins confortable que le grand lit. Mais il reste confortable.
• Safia (10/5): J’y retournerai les yeux fermés. - Absolument tout. C’était très propres et les hôtes étaient juste exceptionnels. Ils étaient adorables. L’accueil et la bienveillance des hôtes étaient remarquables. Gentillesse, bienveillance, humour, un cadre familial. Tout était au rdv. Même si le ventilateur faisait du bruit, tout était parfait.

• Cat (9/5): Superb - The hosts were super friendly and welcoming. They really make your stay special. They offered us fruit from their garden and breakfast was delicious. View from the terrace is amazing, and so nice in particular having breakfast there. Strong WiFi. Spacious room. The beds are a bit soft, and there is no AC in the room (there is a fan). The walk up the hill is very steep, but you would need to walk up it to get to the castle anyway, which makes you in a great position for the castle and the nearby restaurants.

• Chris (10/5): Amazing views, great location and the most amazing people! - Flamur and his wife (I do not know how to write her name ;-)) are the loveliest people!! They are super welcoming and make you feel like family. They gave us a super tasty welcome drink and let us try some fruit from their garden. They also provided (at extra cost) a SUPER tasty breakfast. They were very helpful. The room was clean and comfortable. The view from the patio is AMAZING!! The view and the people is what make this a perfect holiday place! The guesthouse is located on a short walking distance from the castle and a short walking distance to Berat. For people that have difficulties walking, this place is not so suitable, because you have to walk up a steep hill every time you want to go out. We loved it, because it was a great work out, but keep this in mind if you have mobility issues. The guesthouse has a free parking spot, which is great. However, you need to feel comfortable driving as you have to drive your car up and down the steep hill. For my husband this was not an issue, but I would not have felt comfortable doing this myself. We would 100% recommend this place in Berat and are truly hoping that we can go back one day to see Flamur and his lovely wife again! Nothing ;-)

• João (8/5): Very good - Guesthouse is very close to the castle, with a great view over Berat and the surrounding mountains. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. Breakfast is varied and tasty. The climb from the town to the Guesthouse is very steep. It's a bit of a struggle to get up with your bags... but nothing that's impossible.
• Michał (9/5): Peaceful and quiet - Stunning location on a hill overlooking Berat. Few steps from the castle, 10 minutes walk to the promenade, yet in a peaceful and quiet spot. The owner is an absolute gem. Super nice, cheerful and helpful, everything was "no problem" The room was nice, yet a bit tired with all the door handles creaking. Beds were too soft for my liking, but I do have a thing for a hard mattress. Nice breakfast on a terrace with a lovely view on the town was definitely a great way to start a day. We found it a bit difficult to get there late in the evening with no internet access, as sign posts to accommodation are not allowed in Berat. Perhaps the map I have uploaded would be helpful. After leaving the paved road the last section to the guesthouse may seem a bit steep, but is really ... no problem :)

A little bit English, Albanian and Italian and more smiles and kindness;) Host at the top of the mountain and it's hard... But near the castle ☺️ Breakfast is delicious and large with local food. Thank you from Estonia! Very steep descent to the house, not every car will be able to climb up
• Miriam (8/5): Very good - The guesthouse is next to the castle and has a really nice overview of the city. The breakfast is a lot and all local food and the room was flawless. The hosts try everything to give you a good time and are very hospitable The hosts are very much around, so if you prefer to have more private space, keep that in mind. But they always mean the best :)

The breakfast is delicious with fruits from the garden. It is a bit tricky to find and approach the house with car, but manageable. Emiljo’s Guesthouse is a great choice when you stay in Berat.
