Guest Reviews
- Cornelis (7/5): - I liked the quaint caravan and utilities of the campground. The tiny, almost invisible, mosquitos.
- Chris (1/5): - Nothing. I did not stay there. I was unable to find the accommodation. Furthermore I advised I would be busy after designated check in and asked if I could get a key early.....all of which would have avoided me not be able to find the caravan......its a dark place at night with extremely poor visibility. I did try and call twice....my call was only returned after I left and by that time I was not willing to speak with them.
It's just poor form I couldn't pick up a key at 2pm. Im also going to be using other apps besides booking.com when looking next time. This has left a bitter taste in my mouth. As above i paid for accommodation i couldn't use and had to drive 150 kms up the road to stay with relatives.
- Stacey (8/5): - Was peaceful and quiet. The midgees and mozzies
- Brianna (10/5): True blue Aussie experience would have loved to stay longer - Gorgeous surrounds, unique stay, well considered amenities

- Vicki (7/5): Cutie Patootie Bertha was comfy and warm - Quiet setting and per friendly
- Kay (7/5): Good -
- Catherine (10/5): Perfect little getaway. I would highly recommend a stay here - Beautiful place to stay, very comfortable beds, very clean amenities.
- Rachel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thennis (9/5): Good place to stay just next to Fraser Island - Very nice owner of property. Good facilities and very creative way the facilities are created
- Patricia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Kylie (10/5): The venue, people and accommodation was just what I needed for some time out from people to work! - I had a wonderful stay in Bertha, it was peaceful, cosy and the perfect place to just relax and get some work done. The mossies but you cannot do much about that!
- Rose (9/5): Superb - Absolutely loved Bertha...comfortable bed and great location and once inside the staff were nice. Inflexible in arrival time...I drove from far away and so arrived 20 mins ahead of time... was stuck outside the gate in boiling heat with sandflies or mosquitoes biting me! the sandflies surrounded me everytime I went out of the caravan to the "BOG" so I came home to my daughters after one night with terrible itchy bites.
- Steve (2/5): It made my birthday a disappointment - Nice looking The bed was uncomfortable
Couldn’t use outside equipment due to excessive mozzies !!
Couldn’t get near the bath it was terrible
- Keen (10/5): Exceptional - Didn't get to stay long but would ove to spend some more time there that's for sure
- Carol (1/5): Very disappointing - Nothing, very isolated. I had booked into Mango Lodge and then received an email to advise it had changed names to Bertha Caravan. Mango Lodge does actually exist at double the price (not as advertised). I was allocated a caravan, Bertha, with bed and small table. As the bed had ants in it, I was relocated to a neighbouring van, Gertrude/Gypsy which only had a bed in it. This acommodation totally misrepresented itself. Also shops are 3kms away and there is no access to the river. Also midges are everywhere. Very disappointing and not hospitable. I would not recommend to anyone.
- Anonymous (10/5): It was a pleasure - I always wanted to live in a rustic cabin. The outdoor bath was a cracker Maybe could have had a small cooktop to boil a saucepan on.
- Beth (10/5): A beautiful place to stay with lovely hosts - It was amazing. - such a beautiful site with amenities and such helpful hosts. I had the best time. My Caravan/Gypsy wagon was just right for a solo traveler. Showers were warm and close by. A great environment helped by the place. Sunrises and night skys were a highlight.
- Kerstin (10/5): Relaxing, comfortable and beautiful scenery - Beautiful, relaxing, comfortable cottage I liked all of it
- Tania (8/5): Awesome next time I’d like to stay at the lodge -
- Lucian (9/5): We enjoyed the atmosphere of the place, like a countryside, also with a lot of forest around. - It was a quiet place for us, and enjoyable. We stayed in the gypsy wagon, which is elegant inside, well preserved, basically it's a big and comfortable bed inside and some cabinets. Nice to look at the golden insulation velvety material. The toilet, bathroom was private, outside, very clean.
