- T Crain (10/5): - Whale watchingvevery morning and late afternoon..was fabulous
- Raed (1/5): Worst unit i have stayed in - The unit is in a good location but it is need of new furniture and blinds. Main bedroom is held up by a rolling pin. Bring your own blanket as u it only had a bed sheet for you to cover yourself with. Building location
- Leone (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sam (6/5): Will never book this property again. - The location was good and the sea view was good. Check in procedure. They SMS'd me the evening before I traveled. Asked to open a kind of account to receive a document, in which I was asked to prove my identity with a driver's license and credit card details. Then to sign off electronically. None of that was easy to do. In the meantime, even when I was traveling, they kept sending new SMS to chase me to complete the document. The document was about paying a $300 security bond, which could have been raised several days earlier. This put me under the pump. When I met them in the reception in person, they still need me to sign electronically. I complied. But my bank sensed this was a scam and blocked my credit card,... subsequently requested the bank to unblock. I paid with a different card. In short, it was a night mare.
The apartment has 1 tea towel, 1 bath towel and hand towel for the 6 evening stay. No instruction for using any of the appliances or TV.
- Amanbir (1/5): Bad - Very Disappointed — Property Not As Advertised
I am usually a very easy-going guest and have never given less than a 5-star review to any place I have stayed before. However, I was very disappointed with my experience at this property.
First, the internet — Before booking, I specifically confirmed with the host that internet was available. Upon arrival, there was no working internet because the owner had apparently not paid the bill. Instead, we had to buy data which is unacceptable and false advertisement(I have attached a screenshot as proof). I contacted Coastal Rental Management more than 10 times, but each time a different person responded and no one actually resolved the issue. I had to purchase my own mobile data, costing me around $200, especially because I stayed for a week and my kids needed internet for their activities.
Second, there was major construction happening next to the building, leading to very loud noise throughout the day — something we were not informed about before booking.
Third, the cleanliness was poor. I had to rewash all the utensils because many glasses and cups had stains and looked unwashed. Clearly, there was no proper cleaning or checking done before our arrival.
Fourth, the bathroom door did not close properly. During showers, water would leak outside, making the floor very slippery and posing a serious safety risk. I nearly slipped myself.
Additional issues:
Only one roll of toilet paper was provided for a week-long stay.
The TV did not work.
One day, the apartment lights went out due to a circuit overload.
Overall Disappointed stay for the premium price paid.
Considering the premium price we paid, the experience was extremely disappointing and not worth the money. I would not recommend this property unless major improvements are made.
Would you also like a slightly shorter version too, in case you want to post it somewhere like Airbnb or Booking.com?
- Peter (9/5): A really nice and pleasant stay - great views form high floor apartment, nicely presented accommodation.
opposite to beach and close to all amenities at surfer paradise Wi Fi wasn't great
- Shernece (5/5): it was okay. - the view was amazing the beds were uncomfortable, the dryer worked for about 5 mins then wouldn't turn back on (they said they would fix it but never did) the shower heads were broken and we had to request them twice to be fixed and then one got fixed but not the other one night before returning home, the vacuum had no suction and was blocked with debris, the lounges were stained, the door key was bent making it hard to get in each time.
- Rejane (10/5): Top 1 in all places we’ve ever stayed in. Love the views, complete amenities. We will go back! - Overlooking views of the ocean ;) You need to pick up the key in different location which will be difficult when you don’t have a car.
- Bruce (1/5): Work site basically in unit. Photos don't match. And unit far from premium. Left immediately. - Nothing Nothing
- Maria (10/5): Great stay with fantastic views - Amazing view in a modern apartment building Unfortunately there is currently a construction in front of this building and was at times a little noisy.
- Petronela (9/5): Superb - Beautiful views from 37th floor, nice and clean apartment, well equipped and furnished. Wakeup to sound of the ocean.
- Helen (10/5): Absolutely beautiful. - The view, the room, location what you see in pictures is what you get.
Staff where we picked keys up were absolutely lovely. Nothing.
- Hennie (9/5): Stunning view. - The view. The beds need to be upgraded.
- Gretta (10/5): Absolutely awesome spot to destress. Definitely staying there again! - The location and the endless ocean views- clean and comfy! TV in the bedroom wasn’t working - maybe I am technologically challenged.
- Genelle (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angela (10/5): Despite our minor issues, we absolutely loved our time at this Airbnb and would happily stay again - My wife and I had an unforgettable stay at this Airbnb in Gold Coast, Australia, and it easily ranks in our top 3 accommodations ever. The view was absolutely breathtaking, with floor-to-ceiling windows offering a panoramic outlook over the ocean and city. The corner unit's balcony provided an expansive 200-degree angle, allowing us to enjoy the coastline, cityscape, and ocean waves in one serene package. We spent countless hours on the balcony, soaking in the vibe and relaxing to the sound of the waves.
The master bedroom was another highlight, featuring a huge window facing the ocean. Waking up to the sunrise from bed was a magical experience. The unit also includes a separate washer and dryer—much better than those combo units—and they worked perfectly for our needs.
Our host went the extra mile by leaving milk in the fridge. The kitchen was a delight to cook in, especially with the four-burner gas range. I have to give a special shoutout to the skillet provided; it was one of the best I’ve ever used, making cooking a breeze and cleanup even easier. I’m planning to buy one just like it for home!
The apartment itself was incredibly spacious, easily accommodating 2 or 3 people with its two bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The en-suite master bedroom and the separate bathroom off the living room both featured showers, and there was ample cutlery, cookware, and even basic cooking supplies like olive oil and salt/pepper. The dishwasher, along with the provided dish soap and dishwasher tablets, added to the convenience.
Temperature control was a non-issue with three A/C units that also had heating functions. Even with all the sunlight pouring in, we stayed comfortably cool. The king-sized bed in the master bedroom was huge and very comfortable, ensuring restful nights.
A delightful breakfast/brunch spot right downstairs became our go-to, and we found ourselves there 3 or 4 times during our week-long stay. However, there were a few drawbacks:
- The wifi was very slow and seemed to be satellite-based, making it weather-dependent. Streaming movies and TV shows was fine during good weather, but on other days, Netflix barely worked, and online gaming was nearly impossible.
- Another inconvenience was having to pick up and drop off the key at a separate location which was a 15 minute car ride away. This was a big hassle after a long journey especially because we didn't know that was necessary until we arrived at our building and there was no key to be found.
- Lastly, the shower heads in both bathrooms emitted a loud, high-pitched whine when in use, which disrupted the otherwise tranquil experience of showering.
