Guest Reviews
- Wilson (10/5): Clean , comfortable and good communication from host. - Cute place, enjoyed the fire
- Deborah (5/5): Nice spot but the property needs some upgrades. - The location was good, shower and kitchen had everything you need. The beds are in need of updating, the lounge set is difficult to watch TV, the split system heat cycle doesn’t work and the electrical blankets don’t work.
- Natalie (10/5): Beautiful cottage nestled in the winery region. - The location was beautiful, and the cottage was gorgeous, with a lovely garden. It was in a great location nestled within the winery region. The rooms and bathroom were lovely, and there were lots of little extras that made the stay even better.
- Quang (8/5): - Very clean place with all the facilities we needed in a central location. We stayed during a very hot week and the airconditioning was adequate to maintain a comfortable temperature inside even in 2-4 consecutive days at 37-42 degrees heat. Great communication leading up to our stay.
- Jane (8/5): Cosy - Cosy Nothing
- Noeline (8/5): It met our expectations - no breakfast provided as I am old the lounge was difficult to get up from
- Dianne (9/5): - Walking distance to town Tv reception.
- Hugh (7/5): Just an overnight stay for convenience - Convenient and comfortable.
- Ornella (9/5): Brilliant Cozy Clare Cottage - We loved the central location, cosiness of the cottage, the fireplace, the well equipped kitchen and the beautiful back garden. We also loved the thoughtful gestures like having a heater in the bathroom. Everything was simply wonderful. The only comment we had was that the bedrooms would be more comfortable with curtains that blocked more light. We wanted to sleep-in a little longer most mornings but the rooms were so bright when the sun was up, so made it difficult to extend the rest.
- pierre (10/5): We will go back again -
- andrea (8/5): -
- Trish (8/5): 2 nights in Clare - The cottage was pretty, clean, quiet and close to town. The garden is lovely. Our host was very helpful and friendly. The cottage would be delightful in the warmer months. The weather was chilly when we stayed, the bathroom was too cold for us.
- Nick (9/5): Superb - Wonderful, cozy and well appointed cottage in a great location very central to the main town in Clare. Felt like home, we will be back.
- Steve (10/5): Exceptional - A lovely cottage styled with a great care and authenticity in a great location We liked every thing
- Glenn (4/5): Very disappointing, the place needs maintenance - Location was brilliant, great access to downtown Clare. Also super quiet. It is in serious need of repair and updating. TV service is appalling, reception is awful, no streaming services. No dishwasher powder or tablets supplied. Bed was not comfortable, especially in the middle. Bathroom has a peculiar odour.
- Steven (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mary (7/5): Good -
- Deborah (9/5): Very responsive owner. Thank you. - Close to town The air conditioning was ok in the lounge area but it was particularly hot in Clare when we were there and it might be good to get some fans for the bedrooms. The owner did offer us some but we didn’t (but should have) taken advantage of her offer.
- Cynthia (10/5): Beautiful property in the Clare Valley ideal for a getaway - The location, comfort & size of the apartment Nothing
- Jamie (7/5): Good -
- Kay (9/5): Superb -
- Walding (9/5): Cosy and lovely setting cottage - Beautiful back yard. Very cosy Mattresses could be better
- Anna (8/5): Very good -
- John (5/5): It was ok, probably not stay again - Nice garden and clean Bed was uncomfortable and no hanging space
- Paul (7/5): Good - Location was great No top sheet on bed
- Petra (9/5): Superb -
- Liz (7/5): It is a well-located and lovely cottage - Great location, lovely cottage and the facilities were great. It was well presented inside and the wifi worked and the chrome cast was appreciated For two avid readers, the lighting in the lounge precluded reading, the garden needs looking after and I’m not sure of the relevance regarding the fact that non-straight persons own the property.
- Diana (8/5): The secret fig tree garden - Location was excellent, accomodation good. Not enough wine glasses & quilt were quite thin, though there were electric blankets that I don't use & blankets.
- Vicki (9/5): Wonderful place to stay in Clare. Walking distance to main st but very quiet - Very cute place. Nice and warm with the fire and electric blankets. Loved all the little touches. Great shower.
- Anita (2/5): Unfortunately not a pleasant stay - Location I’m sorry to say that the smell in the bathroom was overwhelming, we were freezing during our stay given the fireplace didn’t generate heat, the ac in the lounge didn’t generate much heat and the thin layers of bedding were more suited for warmer months. Location was great and host was very accommodating.
- Elisabetta (9/5): Enjoyed our stay. Cottage very cosy and comfortable. Good location easy walk into town and close to Riesling trial. - Homely and comfortable cottage walking distance to town. Minor feedback. Could have supplied more kindling for fireplace and provided more pods for coffee machine.
- Lydia (10/5): Exceptional - The homely touches and details, as well as the extra special touches that really made the stay different. The grounds were wonderful as well as the historic home and artwork throughout.
- Clare (8/5): A really comfortable stay in a quiet but central location - location was very central but quiet.
well equipped kitchen, loved the wood fire and hot and strong shower lots of extension leads everywhere!
- Brett (6/5): Pleasant -
- Nick (8/5): Lovely, very comfortable and cosy house. - Clean, cosy and very comfortable Front bedroom. Window screen needs to be replaced as insects crawl under it. Window cannot be opened for fresh air.
- Paul (10/5): A great two night stay close to the heart of Clare in a property that is clearly loved by the owner - Beautiful gardens and a lovely cottage with all the creature comforts of home, with some lovely tips to make your stay better.
- Scott (8/5): Perfect private getaway in a beautiful town - Lovely space inside this cute cottage and the garden is beautiful, carport parking, nice big shower, back patio area looking over the Clare greenery! Quick responses/ good comms from owner No screen doors, bugs are living between window and screen in the front room so couldn't open window, local TV reception was very patchy, couldn't get smart TV going, some kitchen things like extra tea towels, paper towels, glad wrap, dish cloths etc
- Lucy (9/5): Superb -

- Robyn (9/5): Superb - It was a beautiful cottage the beds were extremely comfortable and linen was great We only had three towels for us two, but the third was damp and we had no bath mat
- Tina (10/5): Beautiful cottage - Excellent location, the Riesling Trail is more or less on the doorstep. The town centre is just down the hill. Cottage was cosy and clean.
- Robyn (8/5): Really loved our time in Clare and would recommend this place 👏 - A few more coffee pods and wood 😉
- Pamela (10/5): Home away from home - This is a beautiful cottage, a home away from home and a great location. All the extra lovely touches throughout the cottage together with the wonderful surprise of some welcome treats as well as the heating on makes an exceptional host, thank you Giedre!!
My friend from Cairns and I enjoyed our stay in your cottage. I will definitely be back. There is nothing we didn't like about the cottage.

The host did not leave any stones unturned, and the attention to detail taken didn't go unnoticed. Very responsive to any queries we had and made us feel so very welcome.
