Guest Reviews
- JOYCE (10/5): We enjoyed our stay. Great apartment, the view and the wildlife. - It was clean and had great facilities. Loved the view and the wildlife.
- John (10/5): It was excellent holiday accomodation. - Everything Nil
- Greg Hope (9/5): - Nice location, unit was well appointed All good except for creaking floorboards upstairs 😄
- Marshall-Wadsworth (9/5): Amazing stay! -
- Brian Schwarz (8/5): -
- Anita (8/5): - Spacious rooms with lots of bedding. Very comfortable and close to all that we wanted to do.
Would stay again.
- mike (10/5): - Lovely roomy 2 storey townhouse. Close to centre and ideal little gettaway.
- Kristin (10/5): - The view was just beautiful and if you love wild life. This is the place to stay!
- Kong Leong (9/5): Fantastic place for families - Location was fantastic, with nature surrounding the property Some things could be cleaner, for e.g the BBQ and some utensils.
- cathy (9/5): - Comfortable beds, great location, local wildlife
- Catherine (10/5): A wonderful relaxing stay in Halls Gap - A fantastic large two bedroom house with everything you needed for the stay. The two bedrooms were large and the beds were comfortable. There were two separate bathrooms two loungeroom areas a dining room and kitchen. The two outdoor areas were great one with a bbq and the other where you could just sit and relax and enjoy the view of the Grampians...and Birdlife which came to visit us. The kitchen had an oven and everything else you needed to cook meals. There was also a washing machine and dryer in the house if needed. It's location was great and we were able to walk along the walking path into Halls Gap. The only thing we didn't like was the fact that we had to leave.
- Natalie (10/5): -
- Justin Emrich (9/5): - Clean, well provisioned, superb location
- Nabil (10/5): -
- James (8/5): - Peaceful Noise from upstairs
- Brooke (10/5): Great location to enjoy Grampians/Gariwerd National Park. - We have stayed at this property several times. We love the location, the serenity and views of mountains and local wildlife. It’s clean and comfortable with everything you need for your stay.
- Jagoda (10/5): - Townhouse is very good size but I think houses need more cleaning Upstairs is very noisy

- Lorraine (10/5): -
- McKay (9/5): -
- Navdeep (8/5): -
- Dima (6/5): Could be better, if the place where cleaner and either better kitchen supplies - Location, clean bed linen and towels Squeaky floors all around the house, squeaky bunk beds, filthy outdoor bbq area, filthy bbq grill, cracked fridge shelf, dirty unusable kitchenware, water pressure for one point of use only, cigarette buds outside. No noise separation. Everything is heard from everywhere inside the house.
- Rick (8/5): Nice view. - Nice view of the mountains and Kangaroos. Cold water in shower doesn’t work, so i had to have a hot shower on a very hot day. No shampoo and conditioner, no keys to downstairs sliding door so no access to BBQ area.
- Wagenmann (7/5): -
- Irina (10/5): -
- æ–° (9/5): -
- Yuanyuan (9/5): I loved my stay. The good side is so much more than the bad side. I love wild animals. - Perfect location if you want to see the wild kangaroos and emus. Close enough to town. Kangaroos and emus in your backyard. Upstairs floor creaks. Especially noisy during night.
- Bianca (8/5): Relaxing. Didn’t want to leave - I liked the location , it was relaxing, quiet but close enough to the local town. Pub was close and was nice. The townhouse was comfortable and suitable for a family. Oven didn’t work properly but was usable. Floor boards upstairs creaked. No spare bin bags.
- Mohammad S (10/5): -
- Melanie (9/5): We enjoyed our stay, it was a nice quiet area. Functional kitchen with everything you need. It was presented nicely & - Location was lovely. Great layout & plenty of room for families, nice quiet street Jets in spa were a little dirty, bathroom otherwise clean.
- Laura (9/5): Wonderful place to stay to visit the Grampians National Park - Location was great, just a short drive to the main area in Halls Gap. The townhouse was very comfortable with three bedrooms, two bathrooms, two living rooms, and a well-appointed kitchen. Parking on-site was very convenient. And it was wonderful to see the kangaroos, emus, and the sulphur-crested cockatoos in the back. The WiFi was slow, and the water pressure dropped if there were two people taking showers at the same time. But those were really minor inconveniences
- Melissa (10/5): Can highly recommend this delightful townhouse - We loved our stay here and the townhouse had everything we needed. Perfect location and hosts were amazing. Beds so comfortable and we loved the local wildlife just outside the property.
- Sze Wei (10/5): - Great view of the Grampians from the townhouse!
Wallabies, cuckatoos and bunnies at the backyard brought nature closer to us.
Full functional and well-equipped kitchen. Washing machine and dryer was a great bonus!
Very clean house! Nothing
- Carolien (10/5): - Very spacious, beautiful view, clean and all amenities we needed were there.
And very grateful for the extra effort in sending a forgotten item back to us.
- wayne (10/5): - A great property with a beautiful outlook to the mountains
- Kelly (9/5): Amazing location, great facilities, great communication! - Fabulous location, with lots of wildlife in the paddock outside the back door. Easy access. Close enough to Halls Gap but not right in the heart of the town. A great place from which to explore Gariwerd. Couldn't get the USB port in the TV to work. The king bed was a great size but mattress a little soft for us! :)
- Soo See (9/5): Jenny is a great host and the apartment is very clean. - The apartment is well equipped and the bed is comfortable.
We love watching the kangaroos, emu and birds just at the backyard.
- B. (7/5): Prima verblijf - De dieren die rondom het huis lopen maken het bijzonder Weinig water uit de doche
- Helen (9/5): -
- Gayle (6/5): The condition of the property wasn’t as good as the pictures and was a little expensive - The outlook, location, clean bedding & bathrooms Kitchen was quite dirty, stains down cupboards & dirty cutlery drawers (which we cleaned). The inside bin was disgustingly dirty, full of mould but I didn’t clean it. WiFi was really poor, we couldn’t stream bedtime stories for our little one. It seems to be getting shabby, particularly the downstairs flooring. Upstairs the floor creaks badly waking those below. Walls between townhouses aren’t well soundproofed.
- Ardi (9/5): Comfortable, spacious accommodation with wildlife in your backyard! - Very spacious! Beautiful views. Well equipped. Floorboards upstairs- very noisy
- Inci (3/5): - The only positives were the location and the view, which were beautiful and convenient. Overall, we were quite let down by the experience. Unfortunately, it did not meet our expectations. The place was not clean, which was very disappointing, and the internet was extremely slow, making it difficult to use.
- Frances (10/5): A luxurious place to stay - recommended! - Quiet location, short walk to a dam full of pobblebonk frogs and a pub that does good meals. Great views from large windows over paddocks with grazing Kangaroos and rugged mountains as backdrop. Nicely furnished and decorated rooms, with two good outdoor seating areas. Heaters had been put on for us so our accommodation was warm when we arrived. Everything you could want in the kitchen including good quality plates, cutlery, etc. Interesting books to browse, a large TV screen, good laundry facilities and even a guitar - not that we used these things. Comfortable beds. Name "Halls Gap Escape Townhouses" was not the name on sign at the place, but address was on the sign so we figured it was the right place.
- Eboni (10/5): -
- Lynda (9/5): Family gatering - The place was well equipped for our needs. Lovely outview Tap leak in the top bathroom. other than that it was excellent
- Zoran (10/5): - Excellent facilities, great location.
- Pujan (10/5): -
- Rob (10/5): Great place - Location Maybe a small long life milk for the coffee and tea
- David (9/5): - Felt relaxed. Great views. Great space for a big family. Pots and pans weren't clean. Cooking trays were dirty. There was no aluminium foil. Glad wrap or baking paper
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anastasia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Diana (10/5): Among the gum trees - Lovely country style townhouse near the mountains. All facilities clean with some nice touches eg some cooking ingredients, knee rugs, coffee machine, dishwasher, wash machine, spa bath, internet, 4 TVs, 2 living areas and beds for 8. As 3 singles it's hard to find 3 be accom. All good.
- Andrei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Greg (8/5): Nice, tidy and quiet place - Property had plenty of room for the family In the kitchen there was no paper towels, the frypan looked like it should have been thrown out. The floor on the 2nd storey was so noisy when you walked on it
- Angela (10/5): A perfect place to unwind. - We loved sitting on the balcony and watching the wildlife. It was away from the rat race and a place where we could enjoy the serenity.
The property had everything that we needed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Megan (8/5): Very good -
- Pratik (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brenda (9/5): We loved the location and the townhouse was great but the upstairs floor was just too noisy. - We were in a great location. The townhouse was great, spacious, clean and comfortable. The only thing we didn’t like was the squeaky floor, it was pretty loud no matter how quietly you walked / tip toed upstairs.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trillian42 (7/5): Overall we loved Halls Gap. - The unit was nice and roomy. It was very clean and was well presented and had all the necessary trimmings. A longer walk to the heart of Halls Gap, but considering this is a walking destination it should not put people off. There are two bedrooms, one upstairs and one downstairs. This meant that anyone staying upstairs has to go to the loo downstairs - which is a real hassle through the night. I think the locations of the bedrooms should be highlighted so people know there is no upstairs loo for use by the upstairs bedroom. There are two bathrooms, but one is off limits. The bedroom upstairs has a bunk bed, with the bottom bunk being a double. The mattress was hard and uncomfortable - like sleeping on the floor, and there was no top sheet. We were meant to have milk in the fridge but this was not supplied. We needed to get the maintenance guy to come over and get the TV operational for us as the instructions left us a bit baffled. For the right price I could probably overlook some of this but this was very pricey for a one night stay, so expected better.
- Agung (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lauren (10/5): Relaxing and restful - Great location, super comfortable and practical layout. We also LOVED that we were able to have our fury best mate travel with us, he was made to feel very welcome and was very comfortable, he loved watching all the wildlife from the balcony! So relaxing and very friendly owners and communication. We come to Halls Gap every year for a family catch up and will definitely stay here again 😊
- Joan (6/5): Pleasant - Location was awesome. Abundant wildlife The cleanliness. Bbq was dirty. Dirty baking tray and chopping boards. No milk was supplied. Housekeeping just needed to be tweaked.
- Xuan (9/5): Beautiful place to stay for family holiday - Great location and fantastic view. We especially enjoyed all the animals' company everyday. The owners were very friendly and helpful especially when the bushfire got worse in the area. Will go back to stay if we go to Halls Gap again. Highly recommended! N/A
- Mohammad (1/5): Bad - Location Rent included cleaning charges
The property had not been cleaned prior to our check in
- Eesam (9/5): Superb -
- Alicia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Hwee (8/5): Very good -
- Dhanunjay (10/5): The property for the vacation with a single or multiple families. Location is great with beautiful views of Grampians, b - Location of the property and views from the property. Nothing to complain.
- Cameron (10/5): Perfect spot - Loverly spot , enjoyed it immensely
- Dhanunjay (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nick (10/5): Exceptional - It was a great place to stay. Very clean and comfortable. The location was peaceful and quiet with wonderful views and the national park was close by.
- Anthony (9/5): A great place for families in the Grampians - The townhouse was spacious & generally comfortable with plenty of room for the whole family. While there was an issue with an appliance, the owners were very responsive and repaired the issue as quickly as they were able. The views onto Halls Gap & the Grampians were spectacular. The bed was OK but have had more comfortable.
- Sohail (10/5): Exceptional - A very nice view behind the property. Amazing experience.
- Samuel (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wright (10/5): Thanks for a very relaxing and comfortable stay in beautiful surroundings - location and views were amazing. Loved the upstairs sitting area. very comfortable. Ideal for a family weekend away. Hope to be back soon!
- Emma (9/5): Superb -
- Julie (8/5): Beautiful location - Liked the location and the ease of getting around The floor boards were very creeky and noisy , no milk for tea in fridge .
- Blaine (8/5): Roomy, convenient quiet location good for exploring the Grampians region - Great location. Nice and roomy. Good kangaroo viewing Didn’t have much in the way of cooking supplies. Outside furniture and grill weren’t really clean. Low water pressure.
- James (8/5): Enjoyable, would come back in cooler months. - Walking distance to a decent local restaurant. Not bad walk into Halls Gap itself. Neighbours were quiet. Cooling in the rooms was reliant on the air conditioning at the other end of each level. One of the pictures for the property depicted what looked like a welcome bottle of wine (which we didn't get), coffee pods weren't replenished from the previous renters.
- Shirleyliu80 (9/5): Fantastic place for family - The townhouse is extremely comfortable and fantastic for family with kids. I love the fully equipped kitchen and 3 TVs in the house :) The floor upstairs can make quite a noise.
- Christina (8/5): great family getwawy - We liked this property for the location, away from town but still close by. Great walking tracks. The house was clean and spacious - what we needed for family of 8. some of the cooking utensils - need upgrade - specially the frypans
- Jutaratana (9/5): Superb - Magnificent view! Lots of wildlife in the backyard. We can sit back and watch them without disturbing them. Noise from the floorboards. But that's not a big deal for us.
- Brian (8/5): Nice roomy house in a quiet location. - Nice roomy house. Open view of the bush from the dining room and lounge - great for watching emu, kangaroo and a variety of birds. Two good sized bathrooms. Full facility kitchen and laundry room. Not really an issue but it is outside of Halls Gap so need car to pop into Halls Gap for eating or the small supermarket.
- Andrew (10/5): Beautiful stay, and very comfortable - Easy transfer
- Rachael (9/5): Superb -
- Zainab (10/5): Exceptional - Perf
- Anonymous (10/5): Beautiful place, great location and good facilities. - Location
- Venkatesh (9/5): Superb -
- Keith (10/5): Exceptional -
- Priscilla (8/5): Good and comfortable -
- Belinda (9/5): Great location great place to stay - Coffee machine but needed more pods
- Christine (10/5): Great!! Thanks for having us!! - The view is stunning!!! The late check in but it couldn’t be helped as previous guests hadn’t checked out appropriately
- Anonymous (8/5): Very good -
- David (9/5): Superb - Outlook, location, clean, lovely Only input would be dirty oven and no washing up dish cloth
- Stuart (8/5): Excellent experience - Beautiful place, great spot. Just close enough to town, but feels remote out on balcony.
And the kangaroos, emus, deer and so many birds visiting us out the back was magnificent.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would be more than happy to book again or suggest it to our friends .
Thankyou. Just please make sure you clean the rangehood more often, it was dripping old fat on our food, it took me 30 minutes to clean it.
And you probably need to sort the black mould in grout of downstairs bathroom.
- Christine (9/5): would stay again - well equipped, lovely view, clean & comfortable
- Bar (10/5): We had a wonderful stay. The place was cosy, neat, warm and clean. Has all the facilties we needed. - The place was large enough. It has all the facilities, clean and cosy. No lighting outside the house. It was pitch dark and cold when we arrived. It took us a while to find the place and the lockbox. It was not easy to open the lockbox and we had to call the owner for help.
