Guest Reviews
- Raahib (10/5): -
- Amy (10/5): Excellent stay. - The property was beautiful, clean and has so many nice finishing touches. I couldn’t fault the house.
Just across the road is a gorgeous walkway along the water, beautiful views and lovely long walk.
The property owners were so kind & helpful.
I’d recommend this as a lovely getaway any time of the year. We will be back.
- Peter (1/5): Disgusting bed and dirty - The bed are disgusting, stained, soiled
- John (4/5): Needs work
Issues - Very nice inside There was no hot water all weekend and we had to have cold showers due to a failure by property management to check and change the gas bottle. Response to our query was slow. We asked for a refund but got no response. At nearly $500 a night for a holiday weekend is not ok.. Re the photos the hammocks are in mouldy and should be replaced. 1 outdoor setting needs replacement. The photos show all grass - a large area has been replaced by pebbles.
- Desiree (7/5): Second time staying at this property. Everything you need is here. Location is brilliant - Great location, all amenities you require. Easy transaction with hosts As there is not a solid path to the cottage, suitcases need to be carried as they cannot be rolled (rocks and spread out pavers). Can be difficult to juggle with heavy luggage.
- Susana (9/5): Well equipped cottage for a small family. - Cosy little cottage with everything a small family would need for a good stay. The queen mattress was on the soft side.
- Phoebe (10/5): Exceptional -
- Charlotte (8/5): Very good - Very clean
- Sharlene (7/5): The rules and regulations detracted from our stay. - On the whole, the property was comfortable. It was fully fenced which was good for our small dog, we only had to watch she didn’t escape under the gate. Pretty well everything required was provided. Too many rules. No off street parking. We were visiting friends on the coast but having visitors was prohibited. We had to sign a contract. We had to provide details for all guests and our pet. The property owner’s or manager’s contacted us for updates frequently, but we had to ask for the entry code and couldn’t get in until 20 minutes after supposed check in time
- Simone (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Perfect hidden gem with everything you could need! - This property is such a little hidden gem. Spotlessly clean, comfortable with everything you could need. Great facilities and lovely added touches. We made use of the beautiful relaxing garden, so quiet and peaceful. The train line isn’t far away but it honestly didn’t bother us at all. Coles and some great eating places only 5 minutes away. 3 minutes walk and we were at the water, so lovely. We’ll absolutely stay again.
Louise was fantastic to deal with, so prompt with communication. Everything was perfect!
- Ashleigh (8/5): Cosy peaceful retreat in an excellent location - Really great location, close to all the things we wanted to do and see as well as a lovely walk along the water right across the road. The Apple TV is an odd choice, not all streaming platforms have airplay as an option and it was temperamental with the ones that did work.
- Cait (10/5): Lovely stay - This place was a convenient location with plenty of room for the 3 of us. Located in a peaceful spot with plenty of street parking, it was easy to find and very comfortable. Will definitely stay again! N/a
- Pamela (6/5): We're quite comfortable and happy with the accommodation and all basics were provid - Nice accommodation but no breakfast supplied. Nice quiet, leafy location, even being across from the railway line, being well set back behind another house. Did enjoy the proximity and access to the waterfront. Biggest issue was path from the road where we had to leave our car was pavers sitting in loose pebbles making it hard to carry bags and suitcases with a slope leading up to the house. Photo above shows pavers set in grass. Our little dog had difficulty negotiating it as she is elderly.
- Maree (8/5): Very good -
- Annabel (10/5): Happy days - Louise was very helpful and attentive, easy to talk to and communicate with
Close to all the shops and major departments
Comfortable beds
- Desiree (8/5): Very good -
- Brooke (8/5): Very good -
- Brian (7/5): Good -
- Kim (9/5): Lovely, clean & comfortable! Thank you! - We loved the shower!! Appreciated the milk & coffee pods, thank you. We couldn’t figure out how to stream Netflix. Perhaps user error, but couldn’t get the Apple TV to cooperate.
- Jamie (9/5): Great stay and nice location. - Very quiet unit at the back and very well presented. Had a great stay and would definitely stay again. Lovely few treats provided on arrival made the stay even more delightful. Reverse cycle air conditioning may need a service didn't warm the lounge room up properly
- Paul (10/5): Perfect, would definitely be keen to come back! - Cosy beds, excellent shower, super clean, just perfect! It was a little cold, I think maybe the air con filter needs cleaning. Not a big deal.
- Amanda (10/5): Nice and neat little property. Was perfect for our family of 4. Welcome gift was a nice touch. -
- Boedeka (10/5): Exceptional - We loved everything, it was a perfect little house for the 2 of us and our little fur baby.
Nice and quiet and very clean and comfortable, plus the showers are amazing
- Tatar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Gary (5/5): Passable - It smelt like someone had been smoking or older smoking odour.
- Kathryn (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janet (10/5): Very quiet neighbourhood which was nice very relaxing. You could’ve been anywhere in the world. - It’s a beautiful house had of coffee had a nice thing of milk oh welcome wine and some Tim Tams which was a very extra touch. Had nice little Raps to put around your knees so you could still sit outside if it was a bit chilly even if it wasn’t near the beach or you couldn’t see the beach sitting on the little veranda under the trees was a very nice looking environment and it felt very nice, definitely can recommend going
- Jing (9/5): Nice stay with family, excellent experience in all aspects. Smoothly checked in and out, easy communication. - The property located in a very quiet street, it is well maintained, fully equipped and clean. Wish they would provide a dryer for raining days.
- Nanette (10/5): We booked Salty Kisses because it was near to my family who live nearby. I would definitely book it agai when I come nex - It had everything we could possibly need
- Chris (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anthony (8/5): Peaceful and relaxing - Easy to find
- Braydon (6/5): Pleasant -
- Erene (8/5): Got upgraded elsewhere because of some comms issue and that other place was awesome! - We got upgraded because the cleaners didn't get through this place when we arrived and the other place was awesome! The comms through Booking.com wasn't great.
- Rachael (9/5): Excellent place for a quiet getaway, 10mins to central Gosford, 15mins to Erina and neighbours are lovely - It was in a quiet location, walking distance to a great waterfront walking track and the train station to Newcastle/Sydney (you can’t hear or see them from the accommodation).
Full sized kitchen, all the cooking utensils you could need, full sized fridge and comfortable beds During busy traffic times, it can be difficult to exit the estate area.
Only thing I would change would be ceiling fans in each room but that’s a very small thing - I’m just used to sleeping with a fan on
- I (9/5): Superb -
- Nana (7/5): Good -
- Sarah (10/5): Exceptional - Very clean and comfortable.
- Michael (10/5): It was a comfortable and well equipped cottage that helped us feel at home. Sitting outside in the deck and listening to - It was cosy and well equipped. Not much.
- Everett (9/5): Point Clare is a lovely area to stay , excellent transport hub and close to river and beaches. - Close to public transport and river. Good walking trails. Need new pillows. Far too soft
- Stacey (10/5): Nice and cosy great location - Nice and cosy
- Colin (10/5): Lovely property and really happy we found it. Perfect for where we needed to be each day and felt very at ease staying t - Ideally situated for convenience to the train station and bus stops.
Perfect for the 3 of us that stayed and had everything that we needed. We had no negative issues with the property
- Daniel (8/5): Overall it was a great location to stay for the week - The team supplied a welcome gift that was really nice the TV was very old and the wifi router kept needing to be reset. the kitchen stove top didn't work and the coffee machine had mould inside
- Carol (5/5): Pretty good although some things felt unlike a holiday ( taking garbage bins out etc). - It was close to beaches Single beds where very uncomfortable hurt my back as an adult and my 8 yr old was not able to sleep well either after many great sleeps elsewhere.
Unfortunately I was not aware it was behind another place till I payed for the booking and saw the address. (Other guest was my elderly father was scary in case he falls/ I will definitely add disabled access to my next booking)
Had to carry my luggage / shopping from the street although it had wheels. (Usually stay in places quite close to parking)
Could not watch movies with my daughter ( maybe as I am not tech savvy but was disappointed by this). My daughter enjoys a good movie before bed.
- Katrina (8/5): Lovely and private stay - Very cute and private
Hosts were lovely Unfortunately the coffee machine was mouldy but otherwise nice place to stay.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Janice (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rebecca (10/5): Perfect, for what we needed. Would definitely recommend. - Cute little cottage. New and clean. Would definitely book again and recommend to others. Nothing to dislike.
- Karen (9/5): Superb -
- Ryan (5/5): Very disappointing. Salty Kisses .. where? No vierw, no outside ambience, just somewhere to sleep. - The inside of the property was nice and clean, the bathroom was very good The outside of the property and the access was a long way from the street parking. Pebbles were much too hard for a person with any kind of difficulty with walking, Very unstable. Also there is no grass in front of the house now it is all ugly pebbles and the side of the house is just dirt and scrappy fallen leaves etc.
- Susana (8/5): Very good - The holiday house was clean, modern and has a fully equiped kitchen, its own fully fenced yard where our dog was able to explore safely. It was relaxing and felt like hobe away from home. Close to lovely walking track. Needed to drive to the shops and restaurants.
- Kerianne (9/5): A great location, the property is clean and welcoming. - I enjoyed the fact there was a welcoming bottle of wine (not my taste, I thought the gesture was lovely) and a packet of Tim Tams. The property was easy to access and provided security for my fluffy puppies. I loved the location as this was perfect for my needs. The property was clean and puppy friendly without a stiffling amount of rules. The double shower is a nice bonus! There was nothing really major, just some basic maintenance issues, such as a loose toilet seat, only 1 flush works and the batteries on the Apple remote needed changing. I would also encourage Louise to purchase some wine glasses.
Seriously these are 1st world problems.
- Evelyn (8/5): Very good -
- Marcelo (10/5): excellent - the location but specially how clean the place was !! definitely coming back N/A
- Brian (10/5): Peace and quiet near the water - Quiet and good facilities.
- Melanie (4/5): Unacceptable housekeeping/OVERPRICED - Bed was comfortable The filthy state of the place for the high price $230 a night charged
On top of a $500 deposit for damages before a code is given for checkin
The housekeeping clearly non existent for quite awhile by the amount of filth built up on the kitchen blinds. The dust balls with hair etc accumulated on the cold concrete floor. And I had to clean the heater filters myself as the heater wasn't pumping full capacity and it was freezing weather. (Pic attached)Oven still coated with DRIED OVEN CLEANER(pic attached)
Microwave stunk of Indian food, food stuck on the plate. Dog hair allover beanbag in the loungeroom.
I let them know via email and audio msg of the problems first thing
I got nothing back, no reply whatsoever.
This review would have been avoided if professionalism had been involved. DISAPPOINTED
- Cy (8/5): Great place to stay! - Property was clean and well equipped. Very pet friendly. The welcome snack and drink was a very lovely surprise from the host. Check in and out was easy to do. Very good communication from the host.
- David (8/5): Good location, facilities felt like a home, we would definitely look to stay here again - Easy to find, good central location, facilities as shown in the marketing materials, everything provided that was required for a comfortable and relaxed stay Couch a little uncomfortable. As we were 3 pax, a single seater in addition to the couch would have been very useful and a 3rd easy chair on the patio, but not essential.
- George (8/5): Very good -
- Morrison (7/5): We had fun and really enjoyed our stay - cozy unit. quiet and central area no dish cloths
couldn’t get cooktop to work
bbq was dirty
- Nicola (8/5): Very good -
- Royda (9/5): a quiet well deserved treat for your family or friends! felt just like home! I’ll be keen to stay again ((: - the location was very nice and all the amenities ect worked well and had a nice modern but comfy touch to it!
the outside area and comfy shag carpeted loungeroom were my two favourite things about the property! shower heads were a lovely experience too ((: no bug spray was provided ( and coincidentally there were alot of mosquitoes/other bugs while I stayed )
there is also no extra council bins so we had troubles managing the rubbish when we left -
hammocks desperately need to be replaced!
and the branch near the bbq/picnic table needs to be trimmed
side note : not alot of communication between the house owner and I but nothing too serious to complain about
- Zdenka (10/5): Exceptional - It was very cosy and with modern amenities. The beds were very comfy, loved the bathroom ! It felt so relaxing sitting on the deck listening to the birds in the surrounding trees.
Very close to the local shops and just a short stroll to Brisbane waters. Nothing to complain about.
- Anthony (7/5): Good -
- Shawn (10/5): Exceptional - Clean, tidy, well appointed, great shower. Place was excellent!
- Psy (10/5): Had a great stay at salty kisses - very private with no disturbances, complimentary snacks was unexpected but good. N/A
