Guest Reviews
- Sharon (10/5): The cutest little studio. - The decor and colours, the rustic old fashioned window louvres the bathroom is gorgeous, and the river just across the road within arm's reach of the flat rock trails.
Can even see some of the river from the studio. I do wish I had brought some art to do. Nikita was very welcoming Nothing about it. Summer may be a bit warm without air con but this time of year was perfect and it would probably take away from the rustic experience.

- Jean (10/5): Fantastic location, excellent recommendation from owner for food. - Location and style Nothing

- Mckay (10/5): beautiful, peaceful, and made even more special by Nikita’s kindness and hospitality. - I really enjoyed visiting Blackwood River Art Studio because the whole property was just as beautiful as the artwork itself. The house had such a warm, charming feel, and being surrounded by nature along the river made it incredibly peaceful. It felt like a true escape, where the setting, the home, and the art all blended together to create a really special and relaxing experience. Honestly, there wasn’t anything I didn’t like everything about the experience was perfect. The property, the house, and the atmosphere were all beautiful and so peaceful, and the hospitality really stood out. Nikita was incredibly kind and welcoming, and she even went out of her way to help me jumpstart my car, which made the whole visit feel even more welcoming.

- Don (7/5): It was a pleasant stay - Location was okay
No breakfast supplied There wasn't ant sugar aachets. No small bin in the bathroom. The studio was a bit cold. Wood stove wasn't working and the oil heater only warmed the bathroom. Couch was a bit sinky.. hard to get up from. No seating area outside. Is this the new norm to have to take out the ribbish?
- Jessica (9/5): - The place is beautiful, comfortable bed, big kitchen and an enormous bath.
- Nicola (10/5): Augusta break - It was very comfortable and clean, everything was there we needed. We loved the bath, pats from dog, being so close to boat ramp for our kayaks and close to town and the view. It was very peaceful and relaxing loved the birdlife. We didn't like leaving!!

- Monica (10/5): Exceptional - I really liked the use of the Stand up paddle board and kayaks. Close and easy to get to the river. The two dolphins and the two babies swimming alongside ,while paddle boarding made a very memorable experience.
- Susan (9/5): A cosy, comfortable space which has a fantastic bathroom. - A lovely comfortable space. The bathroom was fabulous and lots of small touches included to make you feel welcome, Our host offered us space to store our bikes as it was very wet when we were there. Firewood supplied and it was really cosy as it was cold. The beds were comfy too. Nothing negative to say!
- Deepak (10/5): Weekend Getaway with Simplicity - Peaceful, quiet and very clean and comfortable. Lovely ambiance, close to the river and an easy walk in to town.
We would’ve liked to stay longer. The owners were very gracious with privacy and provide a smooth arrival with plenty of information about our stay and the local town. Nothing, we really enjoyed our stay and will definitely book again.
- Arthur (8/5): Nice area of Augusta.Colour Patch was a nice restaurant - Bedroom and Bathroom spacious Open Louvre windows when we arrived on wet windy day
- Claire (9/5): Superb -
- Ingrid (9/5): A pretty hideaway beside the estuary, walking distance to town. Extremely clean and comfortable. - A gorgeous hideaway spot with estuary glimpses, easy to walk to town, waterside walks from the front door. Spotlessly clean, extremely comfortable bed, beautiful bathroom with a big bath, and a great kitchen. Perfect for a couple of days relaxing in the hammock or exploring the Augusta coastline.
- Allen (8/5): Augusta Stay - Pleasant studio in the host's garden. Not far from the town. View over the River. Augusta is quiet but has all the facilities you need. Had a good fish and chips from the local shop.
The studio was well equipped with an enormous bathroom, but see below about negative. Only a couple of things: the bathroom which is lovely, has a clear window that looks onto the bedroom, this means anyone in the bedroom can see the person using the toilet, a curtain or opaque glass would correct this.
Second, there are no curtains or blinds in the living area , so when it is dark and the lights are on, there is no privacy.
- Michelle (10/5): Very enjoyable, would stay again - It had everything we needed. Location was great. Rustic and cozy. Nothing
- Lisa (8/5): Very good -

- Weston (9/5): Superb - Very clean and tidy. No TV ,but that was good for a change. Very well presented 🎁 Nothing
- Beverley (8/5): Good location. Good for a short stay - Location No air conditioner and lounge was too soft to sit on
- Kate (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (8/5): Location ideal and near to all of the things to do in the area - Location near to all the Augusta sights
- Claudia (10/5): Exceptional - The studio was so peaceful! I loved sitting on the hammock with all of the birds in the garden. The location beside the river was fantastic, and Nikita let us use her kayaks which was great. The studio has everything you need. I would highly recommend staying here.
