Guest Reviews
- Gregory (8/5): - Great location. Beautiful views and accommodation. Difficult to get luggage to the rental. I’d recommend driving to the brewery located on the opposite side of town, off loading luggage with a traveling companion who waits for your return from parking the car, to then assist in going up the hill to the apartment. Otherwise you must navigate a series of steep steps and hills, provided parking can be located nearby.

- Cathy (7/5): A super location, host and balcony but rather tired and damp interior - The apartment has a great location in the centre of the old town and the balcony is wonderful with views down to the coast. The kitchen was well equipped, with some extras provided and good communal space for a group of 4. Parking isn't nearby but this didn't bother us as we could drop off luggage and park on the lower road. The smell of damp/drains was a bit off putting at times, particularly in the smaller bedroom. The plaster on the walls in the bathroom was coming away due to the damp. The electricity tripped more than 10 times during our stay which was inconvenient when cooking. It's worth noting that it was quite cold on several days during our stay so we needed the heaters on and this may have contributed to the power tripping out.

- Pieter (6/5): It has some charm and a nice terrace, but it lacks cleanliness for us - Quite spacious stay, although quite dark inside. Nice terrace with a view over the mountains and the sea at the distance. Located inside the lovely city center of Frigiliana, so everything can be done by foot. The host is responsive to questions and checkin is via a key locker It has charm, but the place is also subject to mold, and is not very well maintained. The bathrooms all need a serious renovation and the place is to our standards not clean. The brooms in the toilets are disgusting. The kitchen is also quite limited if you're planning to cook for a group of 6. Some basics like bowls for breakfast are missing in the kitchen. Also, keep in mind that the city center is car free (or almost), so you have to prepare yourself to carry your luggage up a part of the hill

- Wendy (8/5): Great stay! - Very spacious with a fantastic balcony with big table and stunning views. Some of the walls are damp and starting to crumble.
- Webb (8/5): Very enjoyable break - Lovely balcony but could of done with some sun loungers Bathrooms /showers need to be updated
- Jill (10/5): Frigiliana relaxing stay - Great location, very spacious property, quite quirky but in a nice way. Wine, fruit and chippies left by the host, most appreciated. Nothing we didn’t like.
- Joel (10/5): One of the best places we have ever stayed..... no joke, it is that good. - The view was spectacular, walking from the kitchen thought the arched doors to the balcony was like walking through a dream. Dropping off luggage can be a challenge as this beautiful apartment is in the old quarter and even though you can drive your car in to drop off luggage, you have to navigate very tight, tourist lined streets.
- Penny (8/5): We look forward to returning to Casa Martina in hopefully more normal Andalucian weather! - We stayed in Casa Martina last year and booked again for three weeks this time as it is such a beautiful house in a wonderful location, with a gorgeous terrace and great sea views. Caroline, the host, is really responsive and responded to our messages promptly. Unfortunately, the time we spent in Casa Martina coincided with three weeks of storms, where most days it was raining, often heavily. Due to such unprecedented weather, and a previous flooding, there were some issues with damp, but Caroline, the host, did her best to put everything right.
- Paul (9/5): Superb -
- Claire (10/5): Beautiful stay. - Casa La Martina is a beautiful property with stunning views and a great location. The owner has made the accommodation so welcoming with so many lovely touches and attention to detail. Don't hesitate to book. It's the loveliest place we have stayed in Frigiliana in the 15 years we have been coming to the village. Having to leave..
- Cathy (9/5): A wonderful stay with great views from the deck. - The terrace area was lovely. Well equipped kitchen and nice social areas.
Brilliant location in the heart of the old town but not noisy at all. Bathrooms a little tired and evidence of damp in some rooms.
- Andrew (10/5): A wonderful view in the centre of the old town. Very comfortable and relaxing stay. - The house has a wonderful sunny terrace with views across the countryside down to the sea. It is very spacious for two people and is in a really good location in the centre of the old town. The decor is really interesting with some great original artworks hanging around the house. If you're a fan of television you will love the huge TV in the living room. The bed we slept in was very comfortable. There are several restaurants close by and it's a short stroll to a supermarket. A very relaxing stay!
- Lorraine (10/5): Sensational - Everything! Nothing
- Angela (8/5): Very good -
- Deah (10/5): Family home for rent - Location and size Nothing
- Cleminson (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandra (9/5): Superb - The set up of the apartment and the view is amazing! Same with the location. Kitchen was fully equipped and same with towels and toiletries which we really appreciated. We love these type of apartments with great design and amazing wall art. The lamp over the table at the terrace was not working and it would be nice to use it at evenings.
It would be good to mention that cars cannot be parked outside of the apartment so it's a bit of a struggle with heavy luggage but it's also expected in hilly villages.
- Penny (9/5): We absolutely loved our stay at Casa Martina and would love to come back - Perfect location, wonderful terrace with fantastic views, very peaceful, lovely welcome pack, great communication with host The key lock box was a little tricky to open
