• Corrina (3/5): Disappointing, would not stay there again. - Location, and walking distances to the grocery store and restaurants. Firstly, lack of communication from hotel. They did not respond to any messages via booking.com. We had to reach out to the hotel directly. Secondly, hotel arrangement with taxi was not straight forward. The hotel advised the driver would be at the airport at arrivals with a sign with our name. We waited 40 minutes at arrival and no driver. Then a man came up to us, quickly flashed a sign with my name and said he was supposed to take us to the hotel. He then proceeded to arrogantly lecture us on how we were in the wrong spot and were supposed to go the very end of the taxi line to meet him. Note, this was our first time to the island and the hotel said the driver would be at arrivals with sign. Other hotels with signs were waiting for their guests at arrivals but not ours. Thirdly, we arrived late in the evening but had notified the hotel prior to ensure someone would be there to check us in. They confirmed there would someone. The security guard was the only one there and gave us the room key but we still needed to officially check in the following day when hotel staff was present. When we entered the room, the air conditioner was not on and it was extremely hot and stuffy. In addition, there were mosquitoes everywhere. I've visited several Caribbean islands and fully aware of mosquitoes but I have never come into a mosquito infested hotel room. I do have to point out the room was clean, but to say the least we didn't sleep well for the duration of our stay.

• Rick (6/5): We will return to the Barbados and look at all options. I feel this property is a possible choice. - Location was great, staff were friendly, food was good. I was surprised that the kitchen did not have fresh milk a Bathroom light/fan was extremely loud. Sounded like a jet plane over head. We arrived in the early afternoon and waited until around 430 to go into our room. We were over dressed and had hoped to get a swim suit on. We did so after unpacking in the lobby and changing in the lobby bathroom. Some folks may have not been so flexible.

• Isobel (9/5): Superb - The hotel is a traditional family run guesthouse; literally over the road from Worthing sandy beach, with a palm fringed pool and separate garden with loungers: gorgeous! St. Lawrence Gap is a 5 minute walk away and the hotel has it's own poolside restaurant serving meals all day. Staff are very friendly and welcoming; nothing is too much trouble. There is some noise from a neighbouring bar on the weekend which is a shame.
• Margaret (5/5): It would have been find if the WIFI worked. - Hotel room was nice and big. Room was quiet. Since hotel is one block from busy street, I didn't hear the traffic. The hotel was having a big problem with their internet connection. The WIFI was off and on during the four days I spent there (in Jan, 2025). It would work for an hour or so, and then not.

• Christopher (8/5): Good value for the area - The hotel is a little bit dated but I have found this is what expect in Barbados I've been a number of hotels and they all seem to be but this hotel was certainly the best value for money for the location and the friendly staff the food is amazing the lamb chops is out of this world and the macaroni pie you have to try Rooms could be updated but as I said earlier this is what you expect in Barbados I have been five star hotels which are as not as good as fantastic value for the money for the area all hotels that I've been in seemed to be the same but when in Barbados who wants to stay in the hotel

I needed to make the booking with another property so to ensure I have accomodation when I reached my destination in Barbados. Kindly advise to avoid making a booking at Palm Gardens Hotel.

• Broom (5/5): Clean, comfortable and convenient stopping point en route to cruise - Staff amazing. Clean. Excellent breakfast, made to order. Air conditioning works well. Really sweet pool area and patio. Parts of the property could do with a little TLC. No shower pressure when someone else is using shower next door. Please note: this hotel does NOT offer airport transfers, even though booking.com states that it does.

• Elaine (7/5): Beautiful Barbados your weather keeps me coming back! - One of the most comfortable beds I have slept on in my 5 trips to Barbados. Housekeeping and the front people were wonderful! The pool was great, the restaurant had the best hamburger that I have had in Barbados, also very good fish cakes. Quick service unlike reviews I read. Close to two grocery stores and a 24 hr. gas station store (don't bother with the food service there though, absolutely awful) and small food outlet. I'd love to stay here again if the same large group wasn't here taking over the place. There was a large group from the UK who showed up loud and never ceased. They acted like they owned the place and I even had to call the front desk one evening as they were drunkenly arguing so loudly! They are at it again tonight, I have one more day, trying to make the best of it. Not the hotels fault and they acted quickly when I had to call them for the noise. They also took over the pool, so entitled!

The hotel has no elevator and also had no staff to assist to carry our bags. They lack effective communication and do not share information in an adequate manner. The hotel room looks like a prison cell with outdated amenities.

Ground floor rooms had a nice patio area facing the gardens. Rooms are clean but tired and dated and the aircon was noisy so at night we turned it off and relied on the ceiling fan.

Also, the pineapple juice was amazing. loved it so much I purchased another one to go... My son loved his as well. The employees were very warm and friendly. The receptionist was an amazing woman, she made sure I was very comfortable with my layover stay there. I was only there for one night. The atmosphere was peaceful, and the premises was very clean. No elevators. however, they had someone to take our suitcases up the stairs. I know it's only 2 flights of stairs.

• Laura (8/5): A nice hotel, near the beach. - Palm Garden Hotel is in a very good location for those of us who did not rent a car, although there is guest parking. Our room was clean, and it had a fully stocked kitchenette, with a sink, stove, fridge, microwave... The beach is literally a block away. Bring your snorkel and you can see sea turtles, a short distance from the shore (please don't touch them). There is a plaza right near the hotel that has food kiosks (almost like food trucks) that offer a variety of cultural cuisines. They have music playing there during the weekends. There are many restaurants nearby and Oistin's has a very popular Fish Fry every Friday. We traveled by minivan taxis, that you just hail down along the road, at $3.50 Bajan money, per person. Everything was fine.

Doors don’t seal when closed creating crevasses for mosquitoes. We spent a night and had to spray the room 3 times. Cabinet hinges falling apart. TV reception/clarity not the best. Breakfast was very basic, even coffee was restricted to a max of two small cups

• Boss-lady (10/5): March Staycation - The staff was exceptionally pleasant. I was treated no different from the tourists there. As a local, I can tell you that has happened before at other places. I will definitely be back. Staff went above and beyond to make sure my partner and I were comfortable. Kudos! No complaints at all. My stay was too short, lol, that's what I didn't like.

• David (7/5): Great, really enjoyed it. - The staff were very friendly and helpful, the apartment was spacious, well furnished and it was cleaned regularly, the pool was clean and well maintained. It would have been good to have had more air conditioning units in the apartment. Only one bedroom had A.C in it and the living room didn't have one either which meant the apartment was very hot in the evenings.

• Williams (8/5): I would recommend this hotel based on the friendliness of the staff , the price and the location. - The location was the best. We were in the middle of everything. There were monkeys in the garden area which was beautiful! We were within walking distance to the beach and St. Lawrence Gap, where all of the activity was. The breakfast menu was sparse, but the food was great! We loved the staff, they were so gracious and pleasant! There was nothing about the hotel, we didn't like except for the room, they could have sprayed for the little ants that were crawling on the table where we had to eat. They were all over the place. We didn't complain, but it should be routine to spray daily when the room is cleaned. We were bothered by fresh washcloths not being placed in the room after it was cleaned. There were two people on the reservation, but they would only leave 1 washcloth when the room was cleaned. We also wished they offered beach towels.

The only issue is the food could be included in a package if someone wants breakfast only. it was difficult to have to arrange for food breakfast and work out change and currency and even tho most will charge to the room sometimes its not convenient for the few. But overall the service was very good. A message maybe night before coming via email to the guest puts your mind at rest.
