Guest Reviews
- Dabar (6/5): Overall, it’s okay if you just need a place to sleep in a great location, but be prepared for a VERY tight space. - The best thing about this place is definitely the location — just a short walk from both Paddington Station and Bayswater, which made getting around London super convenient. The room was clean upon arrival, and despite arriving very late (almost 2 am), the self-check-in worked smoothly without any problems. However, there were a few downsides. The room is much smaller than advertised — definitely closer to 8m² rather than the 14m² mentioned in the listing. The bathroom was not inside the apartment but located on another floor, and unfortunately, it had a strong and unpleasant humidity smell throughout our stay. There is a small kitchen inside the room, but everything is so compact that it’s hardly usable, especially for a couple. It might work better for a solo traveler who doesn’t plan to cook and is traveling lightly.
- Nausherwan (3/5): Poor - Our experience at this property was deeply disappointing and frustrating. We were traveling with a toddler and my wife, who was unwell, and we specifically mentioned how difficult it was for us to stay in a second-floor apartment without lift access. Despite clearly explaining the situation and requesting a ground-floor room or even an early check-out (we were booked for six nights), the host refused to accommodate or offer any flexibility.
The apartment itself was extremely uncomfortable—hot, poorly ventilated, with a sofa that was too small to sleep on. I ended up sleeping on the floor. There were also basic maintenance issues like missing bulbs and no consideration for family comfort.
The most upsetting part was the complete lack of empathy. Instead of trying to help or offer a fair solution, the host hid behind booking policies—despite the fact that Booking.com clearly states cancellation penalties are up to the host's discretion.
We’ve been using Booking.com for years and never left a bad review, but this experience felt like we were held hostage in a place that was simply not suitable for our needs. Would absolutely not recommend this property, especially if you're traveling with family or need any level of support from your host.
- Miles (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sarah (6/5): Average but good value for money - Nice and clean A lot smaller than the advert shows and ‘private bathroom’ was separate and on the above flooring which be want made clear
- Lucie (7/5): It was everything we needed whilst we explore din London. - It had everything you needed for a single person or a couple! A great location and good on price! The host was also really accommodating with checking in early too! The shower was a little too small and there was no TV.
- Pointon (8/5): Very good - Fantastic location and a comfortable and quiet place to explore London from
- Carina (1/5): Stay Away!!! - Stay away from this place.
The owner hid the information that the bathroom is located outside the apartment in an external area, I only received this information on the day of check in, it was a really terrible surprise, I had to look for another accommodation at the last minute, the owner didn't want to cancel the reservation and refund me, she kept the money and I had to pay for another accommodation, worst experience I've ever had, she should have had the decency to put in the advertisement that the bathroom is in an external area.
Lack of respect and professionalism, I've been using booking.com for ten years and I've never had such a terrible experience before.
- Karolyn (10/5): Exceptional -
