Guest Reviews
- Ian (9/5): - Location Nothing
- David (10/5): - Great accommodation with a great view out over the lake and the city. A range of eating places available near at hand. Location very good for going to Museum. Hostess (Sylvia) was very helpful Positioning of bed slightly awkward, but otherwise very good.
- Vania (9/5): We enjoyed staying there and would consider staying there again. - It was clean & comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen area, and pleasantly decorated.
The view was great, and location convenient.
The host was welcoming and gave very clear instructions. The traffic below was noisy when the balcony door was open.
No windows or aircon.
- Lyndon (9/5): Wonderful design in a wonderful location - Wonderful location with superb view of the lake. The unit’s design is clever and beautiful with everything you need in a compact space. Sylvia also took care of all the little details being there like cooking oil and paper towels in a cleverly designed dispenser. She also gave excellent and useful instructions and assistance. This is the first time I’ve experienced an integrated pull down bed. Design is lovely but my husband’s bad back was incompatible with the mattress!
- JOHN WIELGOSZ (9/5): - Location and view Vague instructions for entry
- Richard (9/5): Great location with easy access. - Location, location, location this property is perfectly located in the heart of Canberra. With easy access to the lake side walking trails and plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby what more could you want?

Cinema downstairs good to get popcorn and late-night movie. Netflix provide, clean room, apartment does not get hot even 32 degrees. very nice apartment with Balcony see firework for NYE. No air condition but host provide 2 stand fan that would be help. the blind can see through we saw next door fly drone and stop near our balcony i believe they can see us.

- Faye (9/5): Great stay great time - Location was amazing beautiful views. Little bit noisy but it didnt hear it in apartment. The communication with our host was excellent even sent us a video to show where to go in the parking area. As I said before just a bit noisy to sit on balcony
- Gabrielle (8/5): Handy central apartment with car space - Nicely presented apartment, neat and clean, central location handy to cafes & restaurants. WiFi wasn't amazing and I had trouble with my phone signal.
- Mervyn (10/5): Very comfortable and great views - Beautifully decorated. So many little extra things supplied. Beautiful views over Lake Burley Griffin to Parliament house. Fantastic communication. Nothing
- Zhanna (9/5): Central location with a scenic view, great for a weekend away - The property is centrally located with a scenic lake view. Free parking on the premises and is close to the elevator. Staple kitchen utensils makes it easy to make meals at home. Free complimentary Netflix is a bonus for winding down at night. Host is very responsive. Lack of storage space in the bedroom but okay for a short stay. Bathroom tiles are see through especially with light from the outside.
- Bruce (9/5): Very enjoyable stay - Fantastic view and designated car space huge plus. Very comfortable and Netflix a bonus Nothing
- Narelle (9/5): -
- Collin (10/5): Lovely and well equipped apartment, with a lovely view ofthe lake. - The apartment was very comfortable and we appreciated the little extras, such as plenty of coffee pods and chocolate. The kitchen was well stocked with pantry items and plenty of crockery for a couple. It was great that there was a designated carpark.

The welcome flowers were a beautiful touch. Host was very thoughtful and made sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. Free parking was a big bonus. Loved our stay. 15 minute walk into the CBD Nothing it was perfect
- John (10/5): Enjoyable opportunity to see Canberra & have a relaxing couple of evenings making the most of Netflix. - Great facilities.
The flat was exceptionally clean & the laundry facilities were very useful.
Lovely view over the lake. N/A
- Meredith (10/5): A memorable and really enjoyable stay. - We received easy to follow instructions for entry to the car park and the apartment. There was also a video of arriving in the car park and finding the correct spot. This was very helpful. The apartment was extremely well appointed and a great view. The towels were lovely and fluffy, the kitchen knives were really sharp and all of the cooking facilities and appliances were great. We loved our stay!!!!! There wasn’t anything we didn’t like.
- Leeanne (10/5): -
- Desley (10/5): BEST STAY EVER - We loved everything about this apartment! It was beautifully decorated and appointed and the lakeside location was the best! We would absolutely come back. Nothing. Everything was great.
- Lisa (10/5): A great place to stay- easy to get everywhere you would want to go. - Everything you need- beautifully presented. Nothing.
- Alan (9/5): Superb -
- Ingrid (9/5): Highly enjoyable. - The bed was very comfortable.
The space was warm - excellent for winter and cold mornings.
The view was beautiful.
Stylishly furnished and cental to all we needed. The space was warm - perhaps a little too warm at night for this time of year?
It was very noisy if you opened the balcony doors.
- Stephanie (10/5): Excellent accommodation, will book again when in Can erra! - Location was excellent. Very clean stylish apartment. Perfect for our needs. N/a
- Susan (8/5): Very good -
- Irene (8/5): Good location for city & restaurants - Very convenient location & comfortable
- Db (8/5): Modern comfort. - One of (if not the) best equipped apartments I have ever stayed in. Sylvia, the host has added a personal touch to make guests feel at home. Worked for me. Fabulous view of lake Burley Griffen, Parliament House and National Museum. Close to ANU, The Shine Dome, National Film and Sound Archive. Comfortable bed, excellent shower and more than adequate space to 1 or 2 people. Some good restaurants nearby. Excellent value for money. The Nishi Building is spectacular architecture but can be confusing so make sure you pay close attention to entry and key collection instructions. If lost there seems to be plenty of people around who are happy to point you in the right direction. The balcony is a bit noisy at certain times of day due to road works and traffic but this shouldn't be a major problem in the evenings.
- Geoff (9/5): Nice, compact apartment with lake view. - Well equipped, nicely furnished. Host was fantastic.
- Melissa (9/5): Excellent property in great location - Ideal location to visit our daughter at ANU. Clean, comfortable with everything you could want. Very clear and easy to follow instructions to access parking and property. Will definitely stay again. Parking is most suited to a small car. Road outside is too noisy to be able to enjoy the balcony.
- Fenny (10/5): The unit is exceptionally neat and clean, and the property manager is kind and accommodating. - The lake view is beautiful None
- Julienne (9/5): Superb - A beautiful apartment. The host thought of everything.
The communication with the host was excellent and most welcoming. There wasn't anything that we didn't like.
The apartment was a bit small for travellers with big bags.
- Taylor (10/5): Was great!! - Clean, good location and good for 2 people It is small, but we spent most of our time out and about so I didn’t bother us
- Colleen (10/5): Exceptional - This is a great property all comforts were meet and we look forward to stayinh again N/A
- Cherie (7/5): Beautiful apartment, fantastic communication with Sylvia, great location- just too hot in Summer - Fantastic location with free parking!! Beautifully appointed- the only thing missing was a Bluetooth speaker but that’s being picky(!)
Gorgeous 10/10 views but the traffic noise is SO loud once you open the sliding door that we didn’t really want to use the balcony - even late at night. Too stuffy on hot summer nights. Overhead fans but no air conditioning. Without being able to leave the sliding door open, the only fresh air is via a very unique window that ultimately doesn’t let much air in.
Wouldn’t be an issue in the other seasons but we didn’t sleep well at all.
- Jan (10/5): Comfortable and great amenities close by. - The view over Lake Burley Griffin was amazing. The apartment was decorated beautifully.
Parking was easy, undercover and close by the lifts.
We walked to the Pompei Exhibition. It was a ten minute walk.
There was a cafe, bar and restaurant downstairs on the hotel floor.
Whisper quiet once the soundproof sliding doors were shut to the entry and balcony.
We would stay again. There was no door between the sleeping area and the lounge room although I was able to open the wardrobe door to stop the morning light from the lounge room glass sliding door when in bed.
Traffic noise from the road if the balcony door was left open, especially during the short peak hour time.
- Brandon (10/5): Exceptional - Modern apartment with everything you need in a good location
- Marty (9/5): Superb -
- Francesca (7/5): Suited us perfectly for our purposes - Beautiful views
Consistent traffic noise Soft bed and noisy
- Karen (8/5): Gorgeous apartment with magnificent views in a great location. - Loved the location in the amazing Nishi building. Apartment is modern, clean and tidy. The views over the lake towards Parliament House and the mountains beyond are breathtaking. Traffic noise from the main road below makes it very unpleasant sitting on the balcony. In fact we felt we couldn’t sit there.
The dishwasher was not secured and fell forward; and its door hinges were not working properly, causing the heavy door to fall open unexpectedly, hitting my thigh and bruising my thumb. The owner thought she had fixed these problems and apologised profusely for this. I’m sure it will be fixed soon.
- Sara (9/5): Very nice apartment with everything I needed in a great location with a beautiful view. - The view was so beautiful! Perfect location for my activities that week. I found the road noise quite loud, even with the door shut. I am not sure if that can be improved - the door might just not have sealed properly. I have stayed in that building in other apartments before (and the hotel rooms) and never noticed it before, so perhaps it's just that door.
- Eleanor (10/5): Exquisite: View, Design and Host attention. - We loved, the stylish interior and exterior ( a sustainable architectural design), the really comfy bed and linen, the clean and sweet fragrently perfumed room, the latte machine and the exquisite view of Burley Griffen Lake. What can I say,. the view, the view, the view. So exquisite.
The apartment was in walking distance from Murray's Coach departure tourist centre, the Canberra theatre, the shopping centre, many restaurants, Lake Burley Griffin and even the National Museum of Australia that was seen in the distance over the lake from the verandah. My mum who is 75 years old could easily walk to all these star attractions from the apartment. No taxi required. We only took advantage of the free shuttle bus to Floriade, but we could have walked there too.
Sylvia, our host answered every question I asked. And despite how annoying I was, she answered promptly.and politetly. Thanks Sylvia.
The whole experience was truly an adventure. N/A
- Jolyn (8/5): Very good -
- Herman (9/5): Superb -
- Richards (10/5): Exceptional - The apartment was lovely and the view over the lake is fantastic. A short walk to shops and restaurants. Communication with the host was friendly and reliable.
- Malcolm (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lesley (10/5): Exceptional -
- Penny (10/5): Best place to stay in Canberra! Amazing! - Unique apartment. Extremely stylish yet comfortable. Amazing view of the lake. Warm and quiet. Kitchen well stocked for cooking if you’re not going out. The host, Sylvia, provided more than enough information to check in and out. Well positioned to walk most places if sight seeing. There’s nothing to not like.
- Julie (10/5): Small but perfectly formed - A beautifully designed and decorated apartment - small but perfect and the view is spectacular! Sylvia is an attentive and responsive host. The only drawback is the busy road below so can't enjoy the balcony, but the double glazed doors eliminate any noise when closed.
- Karen (9/5): Wonderful up-market apartment in a great area. Exceeded our expectations. - We loved this apartment. It was up-market, clean and tidy, with everything we needed for our 3 night stay. It has fabulous views over the lake to Parliament House and the mountains. The apartment complex surrounds a very trendy hotel and bar/restaurant and has a cinema on the ground floor. There are lots of great cafes and restaurants nearby. The apartment has a large balcony with great views, but the noise from the major arterial road below makes it unpleasant to sit out on the balcony, which is a real shame. Otherwise, everything was perfect.
- Pauline (7/5): Poor - No breakfast It was extremely hard for us to understand where to pick up the keys …and to find the front door downstairs …a hotel lady told us to go down to the basement car park and find the parking spot . Then find the secret key box …it was all unusual . Room was stuffy with no fresh air , and could not open the patio door for the traffic noise
- Beth (9/5): Overall a very pleasant stay. Thank you. - Modern facilities. Great view
Easy Access to major roads
Easy access to great restaurants….Monsters, Rebel rebel Peppers
Really comfortable bed
Ease of parking Possibly do without so many nick knacks. Difficulty of getting into cupboards.
- Anne (9/5): Great stay and would recommend accommodation - Clean, well equipped, tastefully furnished
- Sergio (10/5): Exceptional - The owner was very responsive and attentive. Great location, beautiful apartment with amazing views. The parking spot was a great plus.
- Andrea (10/5): Exceptional -
- Robert (7/5): A well equipped & comfortable apartment - The view over the lake was wonderful but because of the traffic noise, you wouldn’t want to leave the balcony door open. The apartment is tastefully decorated & well equipped The noise from the traffic;
The apartment was quite dark.
- Alan (10/5): Exceptional - It's very well equipped.
Everything you need is there.
And the view is excellent.
- Miriam (9/5): Superb - Beautiful views over the lake. Well equipped, stylish apartment. Responsive host.
- Andrew (10/5): Comfortable, quiet and clean. - Very practical, super clean, nice view. Excellent checkin instructions.
- Christine (10/5): Exceptional - The room was very clean, neat, and stylish... would definitely stay again in a fantastic location .. will be back... and great communication with Sylvia she made it so easy for my first visit to Canberra Nothing
- Ann (10/5): Everything I wanted plus a great view - Fantastic view, great layout, excellent communication from owner, all the elements I like for business travel (desk beside power point, power points by bed, coffee machine, good lighting in bathroom, comfy bed and quiet). Handy to Lake Burley Griffin for a morning walk or run. Nothing. It was exactly what I was looking for and is actually even better than the photos.
- Jary (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phuoc (9/5): Superb -
- Suzanne (10/5): Great value and great space. - Excellent layout of a small space. Great facilities within. Nice quality and comfortable furnishings. Felt like a mini home away from home rather than a boring box. Great views. Wonderful restaurants nearby
- Attanon (9/5): Superb -
