Escape room challenge to collect keys and access parking and apartment. - Views, pool, room awesome If you love Escape room challenges when have 3 tired hungry kids then this is perfect. But if not, it is a ridiculous marathon to collect keys from another destination 15 minutes away where there was no parking, crazy traffic and very unclear business location and business closed anyway, so keys were put in lock box. Why not put keys in lockbox at the hotel???? Very complicated instructions on how to collect keys, how to find the correct carpark, how to find open garage door, how to find parking spot, how to find correct lift. But when finally found the room it is wonderful. After a few days you do get used to the complicated system. YOU will need a car to collect the keys! Do not stay here is using public transport.

• Avakian (8/5): It was overall good but 1 roll of toilet paper no games or anything and a lot to navigate to get to the pools. - Good location handy to everything The lifts smelt terrible and check-in staff extremely unhelpful as privately managed unit.

• Robby (9/5): It was a wonderful stay in a clean, fully-equipped apartment in a prime location with all amenities and the beach right - Convenience at your doorstep: Having a supermarket and various restaurants directly underneath the accommodation was ideal. You never have to go far for a good meal or your daily groceries.l Complete and clean: The apartment was very clean and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The pool area: One of the highlights was the beautiful swimming pool. It’s the perfect spot to relax after a day at the beach. The only downside was the arrival process. The complex consists of three towers, and the signage to find the right entrance and apartment could definitely be improved. It took some searching before we found our way.

Already wanting to re book the same room. I have been to Gold Coast many times so I had an idea of where to collect the key from. I could see how it would be difficult for someone who has never been to Gold Coast. Maybe you could arrange actual pick up from the apartment.

Toilet at times wouldn't stop flushing in ensuite. The main bedroom had a dirty comforter on it, and I am questioning if this is washed between guests.

Leaving the keys on the kitchen bench was a bit tricky. I was lucky I had someone with me so one could hold the lift )you need the key) while the other ran back to leave the keys!

• Jesse (7/5): - No issues at all, I new where the shop was that I had to collect the keys from. The apartment itself had fantastic views of the water and city. It was easy to access, had free parking included in the stay. We had a great time. My main issue was the shower head in the ensuit. This needs to be replaced, the water pressure was terrible.
• Pru (4/5): Very rushed, lack of information, not very clean room - Free WiFi and great location. Very little information about the room was given. Other than an envelope with a number on it. The host at the office were in a rush and basically throw the key at you. We didn’t even have the address or tower number we were staying at. When arrived all the glass furniture covered in finger prints and marks, other peoples clothes left in the draws. Aircon on a 4 hour timer and set to 20c, note says building policy but other rooms did not have this rule. Expect to find your own way around hotel as you hire a private room the hotel will not assist you in any way. You do get WiFi which was the only bonus to the room.

Beautiful apartment. Couldn’t lock the glass sliding doors. Wasn’t overly worried being so high up and not having young children with me. Directions to parking could be clearer. (2 lots of parking named Chevron) Lady selling apartments showed me a map to the parking.

• Chloe (1/5): DO NOT STAY HERE - FILTHY - Location, right in centre of town. Came with parking space. Picked the keys up, lady was lovely but gave us no instructions, just an envelope stating the car park space was on level 2. Nobody told us what level the apartment was on or even which tower (there are 3). We tried calling multiple times, no answer, I tried messaging on here, no answer. We ended up calling building security to find our room. We entered and it wasn’t the 3 bedroom we booked, it was 2 bedroom and a completely different apartment. The photos are of a modern place, this was old and absolutely filthy. It smelt like curry, it was run down & expensive for what it was. I felt like I didn’t want to sit down anywhere or walk around barefoot, it was bad. There was somebodies left over hats and belt just left on the side, blood on the bedside table and the mirror had handprints all over it. The hairdryer was from the 80s, stuck to the wall. We tried calling 5 times and eventually got through, they said the manager will call back in 5 mins, they never did. We continued calling every day of our stay will no answer. We had to stay there as had no other choice. A terrible experience. I’m not being dramatic, please check out the pictures! I’ve got 50 photos to upload but it’ll only let me choose 4!

• Christie (10/5): Amazing place to stay! - They were so responsive to my messages and friendly. The car park can be quite confusing and the explanation of the whereabouts to the room.

• Martin (7/5): Mostly great. - Great location, great room, great premises. Turned up to find someone in our carpark. The person who answered the provided contact number was not very helpful. Rather than helping resolve the issue, they suggested i go and pay for parking elsewhere. When I expressed my issues with the situation, I was blown off, and the call ended without resolution. We ended up sorting it out with security ourselves.

We were informed that a cleaner would come the following morning, but no one arrived to address the issue during our four-night stay. Additionally, the check-in process was disorganized, as we had to wait for 40 minutes to pick up the keys.

Separate laundry room with washing machine and dryer. Beds were comfortable. Good amount of storage space. Lovely looking outdoor pool area. Inconvenience of having to collect and drop off the keys from a separate location, several miles down the road. Splash stains on some furniture indicating the apartment had not been cleaned thoroughly. Sliding bathroom doors with no locks. Outdoor pools were unheated and too cold to use. As this was one of the main reasons for booking this particular accommodation, this was a bit disappointing.(I'm aware that we visited during Australia's winter but the weather for the most part, was warmer than the UK often is in summer, where we frequently swim in outdoor pools. These are generally heated to a more comfortable temperature. I feel that when these facilities are advertised as a particular perk, they should be usable).

• Ben (9/5): Superb - Loved the location, the room itself was perfect for our family with plenty of space. Being above the supermarket was ideal and close to everything. Collecting the keys from a different location was annoying but all went smoothly none the less. Was fantastic
• Ryo (6/5): There are better options - Location is excellent. Lots of restaurants in the area and a supermarket on the ground floor if you prefer eating in. Equipped with most things you need. View from the windows also excellent. Not very clean. Many furnishings require attention (blinds, window seals, toilet seat, kitchen utensils, dishwasher, A/C). Noise was a particular issue - single glazed windows.. ok, but the windows don't seal well when closed so draft and noise get in, which isn't great by the beach and late night district. Key pick up and drop off is in Broadbeach (8min drive away). 30 day cancellation fee (100%, non refundable), which is poor compared to many others nearby.

Unfortunately we can’t prove it was the cleaners who came in straight after we checked out. we were asked to pay for a replacement.

• Pamela (10/5): Exceptional - best location, our apartment was very well presented, very clean, tidy, had everything we needed, parking the car in the car park provide was also easy, was great that there was a shopping centre right there as well the only dislike was the main foyer on the lower ground had a very strong perfume smell that was very unpleasant
• Liza (6/5): Pleasant - Location The property was not clean to standards, there were items not in the room that you would expect to be there, and we tried to contact the staff and left a message but no one called us back. Beds were uncomfortable and the pillows are way past their used by date.
• Karleigh (4/5): Disappointing! - The lagoon pool was a great addition for our family to utilise and the property was in a great location with being close to everything. Unfortunately the door frame to head onto the balcony in the Master Bedroom was broken and leaving a gap, and upon contacting to have this resolved it was only done so with masking tape, which isn’t acceptable in my eyes when we were 33 levels high up with 2 children under 2. There was also a cockroach infestation throughout the kitchen (including the wifi modem on the kitchen bench) and main living area, which resulted in us having to be moved to a completely different hotel after a lot of back and forth. The lack of communication was a down side factor also, but once we were in contact with “Mia” she went above and beyond for us and for that we’re thankful.

• Storme (8/5): Very good - The property is managed by a company in Broadbeach, so I had to collect the keys and drop them off from there instead of Chevron reception. I did ask if I could collect the keys earlier and they allowed me to. The property was clean, however the vaccuum had clearly not been emptied in months, so I had to do that. There were dead cockroaches on the balcony and at front door, which was strange seeing as the property had been cleaned that morning. And the milk supplied in the fridge had expired over a month. I’d say this comes down to the cleaner, not the property manager or owner. Just a few little things, and a dust pan would have also been great. Other than that, really good experience.

• Jecinta (7/5): Great location and price - I have stayed at the chevron before but first time in this tower. It is closer to the main road but still has beach views. I love the convenience of having Coles underneath and light rail close by. Close walking distance to beach and Cavill etc. We got a call the day before our stay that the air con was not working and was offered $50 off a night. All reasonable but still waiting for the refund. The smoke alarm went off at 5:45am in the morning while everyone was sleeping (no cooking or anything) and lasted almost an hour. We called GHS management but being a Sunday the couldn’t really do anything about it so we just had to put up with it. Having stayed at the chevron before, I found dealing with other private managements much easier than this one which let the property down.

The pillows were very old and uncomfortable and the cutlery in the kitchen was rusty. Also when we arrived the bins were not cleaned properly. And the shower heads need upgrading the kids couldn’t handle the water pressure. They said the water in the shower felt like needles.
• Nahed (1/5): Bad - Everything was really bad. The staff where put in a place where they didn't need to be. Like Saturday 8th Feb the tower 1 lifts where all out and only had 1 goin. We had to wait 45min to 1hr to get to our room. My husband went down the stairs and all could say its not pur problem and sorry we can't do nothing about it. We get into the room it was disgusting. Toaster kettle were yukk. Couldn't cook had to eat out morning lunch and dinner. The couchers were stained bed were stained. Everything was yuk. We tell the staff and they didn't want to know about it. We had to cheak out early. Mind u this was my kuds first time and they wanted to go home. Everything was wrong. The lifts should of been fixed. This is a big hotel with a reputation. But im sorry I will not be coming back. The people that were in tower 1 got moved and we didn't. Trust me I complained. And nothing was done. But anyway my family experience was ruined because the staff and managers didn't want to help.

The details provided in an email weren't clear and couldn't be enlarged to see where we needed to go with ease. After a long travel to get there we didn't need this added stress. Either I missed the detail or it wasn't provided until we were in the property and read the credenza but prior warning that we needed toilet rolls, milk and decent tea and coffee would have been handy to know.

• Fiona (6/5): Nice enough but wouldn’t come in school holidays again - Great location and unit is spacious and clean Indoor Pool area was taken over by children from 7am - 7pm every day - running, screaming and kicking balls around. Parents did nothing to stop them and they ignored the staff loudspeaker request to refrain from those activities. The sauna was also out of order for our stay.

• Damien (5/5): Location is sadly the only good thing with this property - Location: The apartment is situated in the heart of Surfers Paradise, just minutes away from everything. The allocated parking is also very convenient. The room was poorly cleaned. The floor felt dusty and sticky, and it was best not to look under the sink, as it was stained and dirty. Fingerprint smudges were visible on most of the kitchen cabinet handles, suggesting they hadn't been wiped down. To top it off, the first glass I took from the cabinet had lipstick smudges on it, which was very off-putting. We received the email with property access instructions on the morning of our arrival. One detail mentioned that the ducted air conditioning system operated on a 4-hour timer as part of the building’s setup. This meant the air conditioning would automatically turn off after 4 hours, requiring you to manually switch it back on using the main control located near the entrance. I had never encountered anything like this before. While it was manageable during the day, at night it became a nightmare. We would wake up sweating, unsure of when the air conditioning had turned off, and had to get out of bed to reactivate it. Since there was no remote control, we had to walk out of the room to the main switch. My kids, who slept in a separate room, also woke up and struggled to fall back asleep after this disruption. As a result, we had two very restless nights during our stay. We would not have chosen this property had we known about the air conditioning situation. The curtains in both bedrooms couldn’t be fully closed, leaving large gaps at both ends and in the middle. Since the bedroom windows faced east, the bright morning sun streamed through these gaps, making it difficult to sleep in.

• Kylie (4/5): Not recommended - The location was great, pool area was stunning. Bed bugs in 1 of single beds, Small room, uncomfortable furniture & now sufficient for 4 people. Air con didn't work very well, my friends slept on lounge as the 2 single bed room was hot. Tea and coffee was cheap and nasty and complemtry milk for 4 people was not sufficient. Out of all the places we've stayed this would be the worst and way over priced for what it was. I wouldn't stay again.

Plenty of space with 4 adults and 2 kids in the 3 bed rooms and 3 bathrooms (1 ensuite, 1 main bathroom with shower & another separate toilet). Perfect location, only used the car to drive to theme parks, everything you need is walking distance and Coles supermarket on the ground level was so handy especially with young children. Nice and clean and comfortable with all the amenities we needed. The pool options were great & we loved the indoor pool and sauna on one of the colder days. Staff were great in answering any queries very quickly when messaged. Wifi actually worked, which is always nice and smart tvs in the living area and 2 out of 3 bedrooms with all the entertainment apps. We would for sure be returning here in the future if possible. Would have been a 10 except for a few very minor things. The only 2 cooking pans to use had scratches in the teflon coating, plastic spatulas were burnt on the ends with plastic coming off & pillows seem like they could do with being replaced. Wasn't a big deal.

• Neeks (7/5): Loved the location, beds super comfy & had everything you needed. - Location was amazing, right in the CBD. You had everything you needed in the room & it suited our small family perfectly. Noisy (which is a part of staying in the middle of Surfers). WiFi didn’t work.

• Adriana (7/5): Overall great location but there are a few Maintenace repairs that need to be made - blinds, couch - location was great The beds were very uncomfortable
