Guest Reviews
- jennifer (8/5): Lovely clean accomodation, great for family travelling - Breakfast was great continental breakfast
Facilities were good, beds comfortable
Staff were nice, great games room It’s not a dislike but our group of 5 were the only ones at the accomodation, I don’t think we would have booked if we knew we were the only ones in the building,no staff overnight, it was just unusual

- Sabrina (4/5): We would not stay therefore again. It’s a shame a beautiful building that’s all it is. - The cleanliness that is all No microwave in the room, no lighting in the carpark the nights are pitch dark as darkest can be, unfriendly staff, a barbecue that could not be used; we were told our cooking smell would travel through the hotel, $5 for extra clean towels, we advised the staff we had infants with us and needed food to be heated in a microwave they said sorry we can’t help. Tea coffee sugar and milk were provided but no dishwashing liquid to wash the cups. The TVs are ancient not a single channel worked with out noisy distortion. Breakfast provided should not be mentioned, there was bread butter jams, cereal. The juices tasted odd
- Mayet Alejandra (7/5): It was OK but we wouldn’t go back. - Very close to Marysville town. The exterior looks very nice and grand. The property and services are running on a low budget. TVs don’t have the Netflix feature which is very common on hotels these days. The parking lot is very badly lit. We saw only 1 worker around both organising the breakfast and closing the reception at 7ish. Beyond that time there doesn’t seem to be anyone on site. And some big family took over common spaces in the main floor and were eating and drinking around the reception area, very weird.
- Cara (9/5): - Staff were lovely and helpful, facilities clean and comfortable.
- Marina Stamatopoulou (7/5): - Rooms were clean and very comfortable
Staff were friendly
Very close to the main town
Hotel was quiet Not variety for breakfast
Beds were not really comfy

- Emmylou (7/5): Pleasant stay for families - We liked the location. Not far from the centre of town. Beds were comfortable but room was basic. Great to have games and library for the families to enjoy. Continental Breakfast was average starts at 8am but nice to have so you don’t have to look for them somewhere. But would be better served as early as 6.30pm. No microwave in the room. The rooms are not serviced daily. Hosts could have a friendlier response to questions when asked in the app. Customer service goes a long way.
- Manoja (10/5): We enjoyed our stay there! - The place was clean and spacious. Location was ideal as we just came after a snow time at Mount Alpine resort/ May have a bit of variety for breakfast!

- Devarpita (7/5): Everything is great except the pillows. - Beautiful Location and good facilities. Bed was ok ,however pillows was really bad and old.
- Srikandaraj (10/5): A good memorable stay. - Nice quiet spot. The staff was very helpful. We went with our baby and we enjoyed the stay. Closer to the Marysville Town. Ample lounge rooms. Had a huge dining room with a nice view.

- DUNKS1470 (7/5): I'd stay here again in the area and preferably for longer if the price was right. - Great location and plenty of things to look at around the area, including the information centre but beware if you're alone or a couple and you want to tour the place on your own, you'll basically get the fully narrated tour by the very knowledgeable lady there. Even when she says she'll leave you to it. Price was very reasonable compared to other accommodation in the local area. I do admit that when I read breakfast was included I thought it would include a hot breakfast, but it is a basic continental breakfast only. It's only rated as a 3 star hotel so this may be why. Balcony could've been swept prior to our arrival and no-one was at the front desk, rang the bell 3x, or able to be contacted by phone on arrival. It is a very large building and staff may be light on also and the lady that did eventually sign us in was upstairs and heard the 4th chime.
- Kiranjeet Kaur (9/5): -
- Roz (10/5): Comfortable - Everything was beautiful clean and comfortable Just to be able to relax after being on the bike rides non-stop for seven days with torrential rain
- Catherine (6/5): -
- Cranhill (10/5): A great stay made perfect by wonderful staff - Well equipped, well located, with excellent air conditioning on a very hot day. A huge thank you to the very kind manager who went out of her way to assist. I would give the property even more stars if I could. ✨
- Jane (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff. Nice facilities and beautiful views.
- Lance (9/5): -
- Troy (8/5): Good choice for a single night - Excellent choice for a single night accommodation in Marysville No secure bike facilities
- Marcus (8/5): -
- Madhusudanan (7/5): I wouldnt go back there because the place is deserted. - It was very clean. It had all facilities for disabled. Thats it. It was very basic. Not even eggs. They had a large dining room but very minimal food. Kids went hungry. The location is actually in the midst of a forest with absolutely no humans in sight after dark. We went to a near by place to have food and it had only 2 restaurants. Not an ideal place for me. Also the backdoor in room 101 couldn't be locked and there was no one to even complain. We went to the place by 4 pm and there wasnt even a single person to atleast provide the keys.
- Olga (9/5): -
- Julie (9/5): -
- David (7/5): -
- Megan (10/5): - The hotel was very clean and rooms were big. Nice view from the balcony and great view from the breakfast terrace. The woman working here was beyond helpful and went out of her way to help us with our flat tyre.
Beautiful surroundings and very peaceful hotel.
- Lea (3/5): Overpriced - Basic, clean rooms with beautiful views. The game rooms with table tennis, billiard etc were nice. But, none of this justifies the price. The price does not reflect the quality/service of this hotel. 235$/night (for 2 people) suggest a high-mid-range experience, but this is far from what is offered.
There is no staff around except for a short while around check-in time (only a phone number to call). There is no room service, insufficient soap was provided.
The biggest disappointment is the "included light continental breakfast" which consists of instant coffee, pre-packed Kellogs cereals and cheap toasts, pre-packed jams and butter (pictures attached).
The current hotel score of 8.4 is misleading.
- Indi (8/5): Very good -
- Ionie (8/5): Just what we needed for a day trip to Lake mountain - Access to communal areas was fantastic. We stayed with relatives and it was great to have a large lounge area with a tv/pool table to hang out. Lady at reception was super helpful and provided wine glasses when requested. Nothing to do with the property but very limited eating options in town. Fish & chip shop was closed in peak winter season. Local restaurant agreed to provide take away pizza but it was pricey. Suggest bring food from elsewhere to f you don’t plan to eat out.
- Ronald (8/5): Excellent - Location was good, clean and tidy. Breakfast is pretty basic.
- Ashley (8/5): Overnight Stay - Location.
Cleanliness.
Size of room and facilities A microwave would have been nice.
- WEI QUN (9/5): - Good value for money for such a hotel with good facility. Love the activities in the game room such as the pool table, Ping Pang table etc. The lift from floor level to 1st level has no lighting, please fix it. Suggest installing an elevator for easier transporting from car park to Receiption.
- Katherine (8/5): -
- Lloyd (8/5): -
- Christine (10/5): -
- Samir (8/5): It was a great stay but would like to have a person at the reception at least once a day (morn. or - We did like the big room and the game rooms. We did not like that our bed's were not made and the room not tieded up every day.
- Cheree (10/5): Exceptional Affordable Accommodation - This property far exceeded our expectations. Great location, great facilities, great staff. The beds are very comfortable, and the whole place is spotlessly clean. Even heavily booked, common areas were spacious and you didn't feel crowded. Thoughtful touches like fireplaces, fire pit, games rooms, large lounge areas, TV rooms and dining room, made it feel homely. Plenty of free parking on site, even for the trailer we towed with us. Beautiful views, minutes from the local town and less than half an hour from snowfields, which was the reason for our visit. One of the best reasonably priced places we have stayed.
- Manish (5/5): Charged me twice and struggling to get my refund. - It was winter and we wanted to enjoy some wood fire but were not allowed even though they had a fire pit. There was a network issue while making the payment . My card was swiped twice thinking that it didn't go through the first time. But it went through twice . Now I am following up for my refund with no response from their side.
- CRIS (7/5): -
- Jason (10/5): -
- Sham (8/5): Comfortable stay - It was a comfortable stay and good for kids as they have a game room Not anything to dislike however the room had a big stain on the carpet which was not very welcoming when we opened the door. Something to look at.
- Damir (10/5): -
- Stephanie (8/5): Everything was good aside from the breakfast. - The rooms were very warm and heating was fantastic. Lots of hot water and the beds were comfortable. The whole place was clean. The manager of the property was absolutely beautiful. The light in the lift was out so very uncomfortable to use the lift as there was what seemed like dimmer than a night light. Luckily we were with family. If I had to go in the lift with a stranger I wouldn’t have taken it at all. We also paid for breakfast included which was told to us that it was continental. There were about 20 other people having breakfast with us with one toaster to toast bread, some cereals and spreads. The urn for hot water wasn’t boiled so we had to use the small kitchen kettle to make coffee. The coffee was instant coffee sachets. We saw the staff bringing out bottles of juice to refill the jugs and a bag of bread to fill up the bread basket. Though this is a reality, we would liked to see more professionalism by taking things into the kitchen to be refilled so it even looked like everything was fresh. This was the most disappointing part of the stay as we paid extra for breakfast when we could have gone to a nice cafe, paid the same and got a more fulfilling breakfast.
- Elysha (10/5): Had a great stay. Room was very clean and comfortable. - Beautiful and clean Nothing.
- Himanshu (9/5): -
- Jyothi (7/5): - Scenery
Lounge
Games room Additional charge for towels and soap
Breakfast options not enough
- Marian (8/5): satisfactory - spacious and quiet breakfast a bit basic - no fresh coffee
- Anthony (7/5): -
- Harsha (9/5): - It's worth the money I spend. Rooms are clean and well maintained. Bathrooms clean.
- Kawakawa (8/5): -
- samantha (9/5): Elkanah Lodge was a lovely place to stay. The rooms are large, clean and well appointed. - Breakfast was served in the dining room overlooking the forest so a beautiful relaxing view. Plenty of cereal to choose from, toast, fruit, yoghurt tea and coffee.
- Michelle (8/5): - The room was comfortable and facilities were clean. The games rooms were entertaining for the kids.
- Matthew (10/5): -
- Mithila (8/5): -
- Nandini’s (10/5): - Amazing property. Great location, clean and excellent facilities. The lights in room were motion sensored and worked when keys were in. At night there was either the option of complete light off or light on to sleep. Would have preferred an option ofva night lamp or bed lamp for sleep time
- Akshay (10/5): -
- Brett (7/5): -
- Claire (7/5): -
- May (1/5): Unprofessional - Terrible The property decided to charged me $448 for a one night stay☹️ do not replied to my emails. Don’t want to do the right thing.
- Sue (8/5): We enjoyed our night away. The location was lovely. We would book again. - The location was an easy short distance from the main centre of town by car. The surroundings were gorgeous. Breakfast was simple but certainly adequate and enjoyed. The beds could have been a lot more comfy. Neither my friend, nor myself slept very well at all. Although our room was clean we noticed and lot of cobwebs that should have been removed from windows. Reception not very friendly.
- Stephen (9/5): Wonderful, peaceful and great service! A luxurious change for us! - Beautiful building in great location and picturesque surrounding! Helpful, happy staff and wonderful continental breakfast! King single beds, joined together often create the “great divide” between my partner and myself, mind seemed a little lower causing me to roll away from her!
- jacinta (8/5): Clean, modern and quiet. - great size rooms, and modern clean rooms also. Beautiful big accommodation centre, close enough to the centre of town. Great with the little verandah also. Wasn't able to make use of the free breakfast as it started at 8am, and we had to leave at 7.15am. I really think the breakfast needs to start at 6am.
