Guest Reviews
- Mark (8/5): - Everything you need ,walkable distance to Mudgee centre, off main road .Enjoyed our stay
- Olivia (10/5): -
- Annette (9/5): We had a very pleasant and comfortable stay in this beautifully appointed accommodation. - Absolutely spotless throughout. Very well appointed and tastefully decorated. Air conditioning worked well and there was also a ceiling fan. Lovely deck out the front to sit and relax surrounded by beautiful gardens. It was very small with not much storage. There was a microwave which wasn’t advertised and would have made a difference to the food I had brought if I’d known.
The key box was difficult to find and access due the the hedge almost covering it.
- Rachel (10/5): -
- Josefin (10/5): -
- Joanna (9/5): Comfy cottage stay in a beautiful wine region - The cottage was very cute and had everything we needed for a comfy and enjoyable stay.
- Brielle (8/5): -
- Ann (7/5): -
- Cath (8/5): Thought it was a lovely little cabin - Quite a lovely cabin nice front deck to sit on The air conditioner wasn’t working properly and was lacking a couple more plates and utensils
- Samantha (8/5): It was a lovely cottage. - The cottage was very cute! Inspirational tbh. Great fixtures and fittings. Close to the town centre.
- Christine (10/5): -
- David (9/5): Cute cottage for a week long stay - Beautiful little cottage on the edge of Mugee township. $15 taxi ride to town. Very clean with everything a couple needs for a short to medium stay. Small cooking facilities for some simple meals. Washing machine was extremely helpful and a bonus. Great unit if you plan on spending most of your days out and about. Beautiful views in the morning with a coffee on the porch.
- Don (8/5): Nice litlle cottage, a bit out of town but Ok if you have a car - Nice litlle cottage, a bit out of town but Ok if you have a car, strangley quite cold overnight in winter even with the AC on.
Zero interaction with staff , door key was in the lock box which suited me just fine .
- Taya (10/5): Loved it! - Loved that it was quaint without being too small. I loved how all of the interior design matched to a theme and how picturesque it was from the outside. The view was also lovely as we got to see kangaroos every day in the field just in front! The staff was also helpful and quick to attend to an wifi question we emailed about.
Very much appreciated the aircon and fan, as well as having the toaster, microwave, ironing board, chopping board and the option for stovetop cooking on the portable induction stove and pan. For the hosts, a tea towel in the kitchen would be appreciated, and can imagine that the lack of fly-screens on the window could be an issue in Summer. The TV is in a bit of an unfortunate spot but we still managed by laying on our sides.
- Debbie (10/5): Loved out stay in this gorgeous cottage. We will return. Just lovely. Very well equipped. - Didn’t need breakfast as supplied our own. Location was perfect , loved our stay and will go back again. Can highly recommend this lovely cottage.
- Geraldine (5/5): Not value for money - Bathroom too small, uncomfortable chairs
- Simon (9/5): -
- Kisela (9/5): Tiny home meets boutique accommodation - Very modern and although small, was perfect and had everything I needed for the night. I don’t think there was anything I didn’t like!
- David (10/5): - Quaint cottage in the outer residential area but with country views.
- Angella (10/5): - The cabin was beautiful and the owner very easy to communicate with. We had a wonderful time/experience
- Paz (10/5): -
- Alison (10/5): -
- Natalia (7/5): Quaint cottage , suitable only for a one night stay. - It was clean and pretty Advertised as 1 bedroom but it is just a tiny studio. No storage, too small for a 3 night stay, there were ants in the kitchen.
No where to hang towels
Bathroom smelled
Pillows were flat and uncomfortable
- Fiona (7/5): -
- Phillip (9/5): -
- Leesa (10/5): -
- helen (7/5): Really quite happy - It was clean and had new and suitable facilities We didn’t know what to do with all the cushions so we put them on the back seat of our car while we were there
- crane (10/5): - Cute little cottage, on a quiet street, just out of the heart of mudgee.
- Gregory (10/5): A beautiful Cottage in a quiet location close to Town. - This is an absolutely beautiful little Cottage, It is perfectly clean and a lot thought has gone into the decoration of the room.
The gold fittings in the Bathroom and kitchen along with soft close hinges on all the cupboard doors and draws are a very nice touch. Access to the cottage was easy and it is located in a very quiet area not far from the town.
The cottage has everything you need , I believe they have thought of everything. There was nothing i disliked about the Cottage (#2)
- Levi (10/5): Lovely spot and cottage - Great location, not too far from the town centre. The overall appearance and functionality of the property pleased us both. Probably a secluded spa bath would have been great but not essential.
- Heather (10/5): A truly relaxing and memorable stay—next time, we’ll be sure to stay longer and soak it all in. - The cottage was absolutely beautiful—spotlessly clean and thoughtfully decorated. I loved the cohesive theme of the interiors, which added charm and comfort. The verandah overlooking the hills was a highlight, offering a peaceful and scenic retreat.
- Chris (7/5): Great unit for an overnight stay - Very clean Very small and not really enough room for a multi day stay
- Lori (10/5): -
- Dianne (8/5): Cute, modern compact accommodation for a couple, but pack lightly. - Good quality linen and toiletries
Modern clean bathroom
Lovely landscaping No space for suitcases
Limited hanging space
Too many cushions on the bed
Cramped seating
No freezer to make ice
- Madeline (9/5): -
- Amanda (10/5): Loved the location and everything that was included. We had a fantastic stay! - We loved the location and was central to everything. Room was great and bed was comfy. They thought of everything so was very happy. Thanks again for a great stay !
- coppola (10/5): - Cute cottages. Super clean and so fresh.
- Wen-shyan (3/5): -
- paulette (9/5): -
- Cheryl (8/5): - Lovely little cottage, beautifully fitted out. Layout a bit too compact.
- Belinda (8/5): We love our first visit to Mudgee - The cottage was so lovely! Beautifully decorated and felt like a little home
- Shannon (10/5): - Excellent and clean we will stay there again.
- Ruth (9/5): Lovely cottage with everything you need in a small oackave. - Cottage was great, well appointed with everything you need. It was also very clean and comfortable. Loved it
- Jennifer (10/5): -
- Garry (9/5): Quaint and peaceful. - It is quaint fitout with quality inclusions, well located and we had a really enjoyable experience. There is a bit of a knack to opening and locking the cabin front door, but just a little tedious.
- Linda K (10/5): We enjoyed our stay at Dangerfield Cottage very much and would definitely stay there again. - The cottage was well located a few minutes' drive from town. It's a very modern, brand new cottage, very compact, very tidy and clean. We had our own parking spot and, even though the temperature was low during the night, inside was warm enough. Air conditioning was great to heat up the space before we went to bed. The outlook from the front was open, with a mountain view. There were too many cushions on the bed and not much space to put them anywhere
- Amanpreet (10/5): - Had a best and pleasant stay.
Everything was so perfect and nice.
- nitin (7/5): - Facilities,location and cleanliness Too small
- Edward (10/5): Quiet little place great for a couples getaway - Nice little place great for a short stay Nil
- Frank (6/5): Looks cute but too small - Too small, a couple of extra metres larger on each side would’ve made a huge difference, just too cramped.
- Fran (9/5): Beautiful accommodation, very helpful staff and quiet location.Would book again . - It was very clean and beautiful decorated. Cody bed and pillows.
The staff especially Bianca was extremely helpful and accommodating with our questions. Could use a little more storage maybe under bed storage box.
Also as we were a group of 6 a little communal space such as a fire pit area or a gazebo so a group could share a glass of wine together and chat about the day. But overall a fantastic stay.
- Cristy (10/5): -
- Trish (9/5): So different from a hotel or B&B. Totally recommend it - - The cottage is small but beautifully fitted out. The furnishings are exquisite - we especially liked theme of black and gold in the kitchen area and bathroom. Bed was comfortable and the air conditioning was great. Almost 2k back to the centre of Mudgee but there are taxis if required.
- Rachel (9/5): Beautiful Cottage - Spotlessly clean and very private. Great location and off street parking. Cute as a button. The cottage was smaller than I imagined. Not a lot of room to put your bags.
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Thu (8/5): A little cottage packed with everything you need for a relaxing stay. - The cottage provided a sense of privacy and tranquility. I wish the bathroom could have been a tad bigger.
- Jamie (10/5): Better than we had hoped for during our visit! - Perfect for a little getaway as a couple. Exactly as it appeared and so well done. Everything you needed was there and very comfortable
- Yolande (9/5): Superb -
- Bansal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lachlan (9/5): Superb - The accommodation was beautiful. Pristine, intimate, and tastefully appointed. Conveniently located, and a much more romantic option than a traditional hotel. The sliding door to the bathroom was very heavy and hard to move. I could manage it, but my girlfriend struggled. If anyone elderly or with a disability stayed here, they might really struggle to have some privacy when using the bathroom.
- Violet (8/5): A very enjoyable stay in a super convenient location - Excellent location convenient and close to centre and very nicely presented Could have been a little bigger for example bathroom and have privacy. Also cupboards with somewhere to hang clothes or even have suitcase flat to open easily
- Leane (9/5): Superb -
- Leonie (5/5): Perfect for overnight stay, but not suitable for anything longer. - These cabins are beautifully fitted out by someone with exceptional taste and style. The furnishings (bed & dining chairs) were comfortable. The downside is they are small. There was no lounge therefore had to watch TV from the bed looking sideways, no wardrobe/cupboard for cloths only hooks on the wall and no iron and 9 pillows (6large/3small) on the bed and nowhere to put them but on the floor.
- Christine (10/5): The host Bianca was very helpful and it was just such a lovely place to stay in. - It was very quaint. Beautifully presented inside and out. Loved all the finishing touches. Beautiful detail in the china n glassware etc. A bit further out of town than what I thought but still not a big problem.
- Carol (9/5): Superb -
- Anahí (10/5): Exceptional - My stay was very comfortable. The accommodation had many lovely details that made it feel special, like the delicious cookies provided. I really appreciated the care that went into making the place feel welcoming
- Barakat (9/5): Cosy comfy cottage amongst the hills. - Very clean, very cute, new and cosy. It was very difficult to watch TV as the layout was very peculiar. Maybe a tad too small. I wished that another blanket was available as it's not healthy to leave the AC on the whole night in winter.
- Judi (10/5): Gorgeous, comfy,convenient - Very clean
Very comfortable
Very well decorated with everything I needed No light switch on one side of the bed (minor inconvenience)
- Branden (8/5): Very good -
- Denise (9/5): A restful couple of days in a very comfortable studio. - A clean and comfortable studio with a nicely appointed bathroom. Great water pressure.
Bench at end of bed very useful for luggage placement. Loved the dark make up removal towel/ fantastic idea! Lovely gardens around studio. Heavy to shift bathroom slider door. Be careful if over 6 foot entering front door - mind not hit your head- be sure to duck. We hit our heads a couple of times!
- Selina (10/5): Perfect - Clean and well designed
- Jeremy (9/5): Very comfortable, clean and well equipped little cottage in a great location. - Very comfortable, clean and well equipped little cottage in a great location.
- Stefano (4/5): Disappointing - Neat and tidy, modern good location We were very disappointed,
Not what we thought we were getting or as described. Booked for 2 nights, but we left after 1 night and went home.
1 bedroom cabin was really a bedsit, very, very small. There was no room to move, no real kitchen or kitchenette, just enough to make tea or coffee, no bench space to prep once you put food and stuff up there. Nowhere to put anything such as bags and other stuff other than on the bed or on the floor.. We were both under each other's feet all the time.
It was my mistake!
I should have paid more attention to the photos. The place was very neat, tidy and clean, and very well appointed and decorated, and in a good location with a nice view.
It looked good in the photos, but it was just not big enough by any stretch of the imagination to relax, nowhere to sit comfortably just 2 kitchen chairs around a small table directly under the TV. So you're either outside on the deck or you lay on the bed to watch TV with your head cranked to the left.
We were just very disappointed. Spoke to the owner, who was very nice, but didn't really have anything to say except they never had a complant like this before, no offer of a refund, not that we were looking for one, but i think that it should be advertised as a bedsit. 4 day weekend ending short, lucky we had 2 days in (Hill End) before that were great.
Will be more dillegent next time at choosing.
- Callista (9/5): Superb -
- Janette (9/5): A delightful stay in a very attractive, cosy cottage with lovely outlook - A very attractive cosy cottage with lovely decor, comfortable bed, peaceful location and countryside view. There is a walk nearby and the cottage is still close to the main town. It was extremely clean and communication and entry instructions were excellent. The main lighting is very bright, a dimmer switch would be great.
- Vikki (9/5): Superb - Lovely and super comfortable Nothing
- Rozanne (6/5): Nice cottage ,looked beautiful but a bit small - The finishes were beautiful
- Peter (9/5): Superb -
- Glenys (8/5): Very good - Lovely setting and immaculate grounds, nicely cared for The kitchen bench, very disappointing state which surely would only take a days work to reappoint, likewise the smaller table
- Kylee (9/5): Cute, comfy cottage perfect for our quick visit. Really lovely. Thx u - Great accom, perfect for what we needed.
Cosy, modern & comfy. Nothing
- Eleanor (10/5): A beautiful place to stay, would definitely stay there again. - The layout of the room was great. It was cosy and spotlessly clean. Everything you need is provided in the kitchen area. The little verandah was lovely to sit out on and watch the sunset. Houses nearby but very quiet at night. Less cushions on the bed - nowhere to put them. The mattress was a little too firm but bedding was warm.
- Amrita (9/5): Superb -
- Giunta (10/5): Exceptional -
- May-linn (10/5): Cute, comfortable, clean new and warm - It was super cute! Very new, lovely decor, most comfortable bed and warm Duna and pillows. Highly recommended
- Scott (7/5): Good -
- Sharon (8/5): Short but enjoyable - The cottage was lovely, clean and modern. Communication with the owner was great. We would definitely recommend this place to others and would return again ourselves.
- Marcela (10/5): Exceptional - Cute cottage, super clean.
- Phillip (8/5): Pleasant stay at the cottages -
- Melissa (9/5): Superb - Great location - in town but very quiet. Beautiful set up. Such a lovely cottage feel. Just needed somewhere for my bag. Apart from that it was great.
- Michael (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laurie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laurie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional -
- Phillippa (10/5): Exceptional - Absolutely beautiful little cottage. Mum and I stayed for 2 nights here and loved it. It’s super clean and stylish. Great views from your window - you almost expect to be looking at other houses but the positioning of the cottages has you looking over the county side! Will definitely stay again when I bring my partner to Mudgee!! Mattress was too firm for me but mum loved it!
- Margaret (9/5): Superb - I loved the decor - very stylish. The bathroom toiletries were wonderful. Way beyond my expectations.
- Janette (10/5): Very cute and cozy -
- Katherine (9/5): Superb -
- Andy (8/5): Nice, comfy, cozy place to stay and enjoy Mudgee. - Small but cosy and very comfortable. Shower had great pressure which was a nice plus. The bed was firm and comfy. Location wise, it's very quiet and just a very short drive to the centre of town. Overall a nice play to stay for a few days enjoying what Mudgee has to offer.
- Rosemary (6/5): Do not think we would return here due to cottage being so small. - We did not have a breakfast supplied The size of the cottage is extremely small. Very difficult to watch TV from the bed due to the location of the TV. Unable to watch TV other than on the bed. Ensuite quite small. We felt we were living in a confined space.
- Robert (10/5): Comfortable, clean and quaint - Lovely little cottage in a quiet semi rural area. The cottage was clean and comfortable with a comfortable bed. Short drive into the centre of town. Maybe some extra hanging space would be handy. Minor concern though.
