Guest Reviews
- Serene (10/5): - It was comfortable & cosy. Great views. Beautiful experience & thank you.
- Michael (8/5): -
- Claire (10/5): Country feel only 5mins from McLaren Vale facilities. Easy to find through f - Stunning location, quality coffee provisions & kitchenette, safe space for dogs to run plus bowls available to put their dinner in. Easy instructions to find place & gain entry. Hubby says putting the door code in every time was annoying, particularly when unpacking/repacking car. Can't fault the security of the place though!
- Marisa (9/5): Perfect getaway for two! - Hosts are responsive and polite. Accommodation is exactly as described and perfect for a mini getaway. Highly recommend.
- Adrian (9/5): -
- Debra (10/5): -
- Katie (10/5): - Gorgeous studio in a fabulous spot The shower’s drain/grate doesn’t seem to catch all the water creating a really wet bath mat.
- Shirley (9/5): Chilled, relaxing, lovely comfortable accommodation with easy access to McLaren Vale wineries - We loved everything about our stay here. The location, the facilities, the view, the comfortable bed. It was the perfect escape from the city. If I could be really picky I'd suggest that an oven would be a great addition to the kitchen.
- Sebastian (9/5): Amazing property for short wine getaway! - Accommodation itself, fantastic location within seconds to different wineries, amazing view from the property. It is a shame there is no fire place inside or outside to sit at with a nice glass of red.
- Marisa (9/5): Wonderful location and accommodation. Great hosts - responsive without being intrusive. -
- Janet (8/5): Very good -
- Holly (10/5): Cosy and comfortable stay amongst the vines. Studio is just what you need for a short stay. - Good sized studio with decent kitchenette and laundry facilities. Whilst you can't cook a full meal in kitchen, it's good for light snacks and tea and coffee. Location amongst the vines and super quiet, as you'd expect. Dog friendly and lovely host. Can't ask for more. Not much. It delivered what we expected.
- Kezza (8/5): Perfect hideaway amazing view. - View was amazing lovely and quiet away from everything perfect. Studio had everything you need. Bottle of red left. Nice touch. Thanks. Close to many Wineries and town. Sam I am for breakfast in town. Small thing towels were like drying yourself with bathmats. Would change to softer ones.
- Andrew (10/5): Exceptional -
- Anita (9/5): Loved our stay at WayWood, gorgeous studio and a lovely vista - The vista was fantastic, lovely touch leaving a beautiful wine. Studio was fitted out with a lovely interior. Great having a milk frother with the coffee machine. McLaren Vale is a beautiful part of S.A, WayWood is the perfect location for visiting the D’arenberg Cube and restaurants Pillow were a bit hard for our liking but would not detract us from staying again.
- David (10/5): Sun-filled, wine tasting adventure! - Amazing location and had everything in the property that you could possibly need. Immaculate!
- Bettina (10/5): Exceptional -
- Susan (9/5): A home away from home - The location was perfect for visiting all the wineries and breweries. Still close enough to visit the seaside area. The nespresso machine and ample coffee pods provided was much appreciated, as was the lovely bottle of wine. The bed was a king size and nice and firm. The bedding was lovely and comfortable. The kitchenette is well equipped. The seating area outside had no shade covering , the outside seating was a wine barrel with a lovely wooden plank, although it looked lovely, was not practical. I would have preferred the table and chair that is shown in the photo. This is only a small detail and does not distract from the fact that this is a beautiful place.
- Ryan (8/5): Pleasant and enjoyable - Location was very close to the wedding and short drive to McLaren Vale township and near most wineries Everything was great, just one issue was little bugs always getting into the house, other than that great!
- Jessica (9/5): Peaceful, serene and just what we needed 😊 - No breakfast included, but the coffee pod machine came in very handy and was appreciated.
- Janeta (9/5): Stunning views, beautifully kept property. - Location is stunning. Transport definitely required. Spacious, modern, everything you need for a self catering stay. Character features with barn doors and high windows. A great place for couples to enjoy scenery and peace in a tranquil location. Beautifully kept, superbly clean. Limited workspace in kitchen area, hob only two rings and difficult to use tucked in to the corner, but adequate for holiday cooking. It is light very early in the morning and the high windows have no coverings.
- Nora (10/5): Perfect base for touring McLaren Vale Wineries - Stunning location with great views of the vineyards from the patio.
- Shay (8/5): Our stay was quiet and relaxing, the location was peaceful and we enjoyed the room very much! - The location is fabulous and it’s nice to have a space alone. The facilities were comfortable and the owners were accommodating. They offer lots of types of tea, coffee and a complimentary bottle of wine, all which was a lovely surprise, the view is fantastic and the location is quiet. There were amenities that weren’t very well taken care of, the kettle was rusty, the air con had a slight smell, the kitchen sink released a bad smell when the shower was running, the blankets had dog hair on them (we later found out the property is pet friendly). Although none of this had deterred us from staying at the property again, it’s also good to note there is 3 windows with no blinds or curtains so you wake up when the sun shines on your face.
- Forrester (10/5): Views across the Vale. - Such a beautiful site. Views across the Vale. A welcome bottle of wine and efficient check in. Was kept well informed. A couple of windows up high had no covering so light woke us early. Not a major issue.
- Brett (9/5): Superb -
- Bruce (9/5): Superb -
- Andrea (10/5): A home away from home. Warm and comfortable. It had everything we needed. We hope to come back with friends in warmer we - A home away from home. Warm and comfortable. It had everything we needed.
- D (10/5): Exceptional - Location and a comfortable unit and bedding and a great bottle of Shiraz. All was good.
- Nathan (10/5): Great little place for a couple wanting something cosy to come home to as a base. - Cosy Nothing
- Mitchell (10/5): Exceptional - Modern, well maintained and plenty of room with everything you needed.
Even a bottle of red as a gift from their own on site vineyard.
Great stay
- Thomas (10/5): Highly recommend! - A stunning location and beautiful accommodation! We loved the view, the complimentary wine and coffee, the well equipped kitchen, the comfortable bed.
- Kathy (9/5): Superb -
- Debbie (7/5): Overall it was a good stay -
- Ksenia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Edmund (9/5): The location of the property is superb, - Sitting inside or outside of the propertyand looking from the top of the hill down into the valley, overlooking all the vineries has been very relaxing. The location is perfect for day trips and acctivities in the near by villages.
- Bee (9/5): Superb -
- Peter (10/5): N/A - N/A N/A
- Anonymous (10/5): Exceptional -
- Raquel (10/5): picturesque surroundings, the room is immaculately clean. Communication is excellent - The surrounding is picturesque and the place is immaculately clean. We love the complementary wine too
- Mary (10/5): The location was beautiful and our studio room was well equipped ,modern and comfortable. -
- Matt (9/5): Superb - Very comfortable. Clean. Quiet - we were fortunate no one was staying in the adjoining house. Great views over McLaren Vale. Very nice bottle of wine waiting for us on arrival.
- H (8/5): Love to return in summer with my family and stay longer - The studio on top of thee hill has a fantastic view of the beautiful vineyard.
Studio was very clean and has available any thing one might need on a trip. It was lovely to have a smart Tele to end the evening with the nice red wine provided by the host.
The host was very caring and responded very quickly to my requests and questions. White ceiling lights .
rugs or carpet on the floor would be nice in winter.
- Lia (7/5): Quiet, clean and neat - For exploring McLaren Vale, the location is excellent. The accomodation is easy to find, and very neat and clean. It doesn't come with any breakfast provisions -- the kitchen is pretty much bare except for salt and pepper, so if you're planning to cook, you'll need to double-check your shopping list -- but this is a minor item, especially if you're staying overnight and eating at one of the area's many excellent restaurants. The bed is comfortable and the heating works well, which is especially important in the colder months! Those travelling will appreciate the fact that there's a washing machine, too, and the bathroom is spacious. The hosts also left a bottle of wine, which was a lovely thought. I didn't realise that the place is attached to the hosts' house; we thought it was completely separate, so it's not as secluded as anticipated. It's also a little expensive for what's offered, but I'd still recommend it.

- Christopher (9/5): We had a memorable and enjoyable stay in attractive, comfortable accommodation, in beautiful country - Location and views were excellent. As we were the only ones staying on the premises, it was very quiet. General facilities were good and met our requirements. The medium size fridge/freezer was a bonus compared with the usual bar fridges, even though we mainly ate out. It would be a big improvement if there was a full length mirror provided somewhere on the premises.
- Paula (9/5): Great central and quiet location to spend time in the wineries. - Great location. Warm and comfortable. Owner very responsive.
- Jeanette (8/5): Very good - Good directions

- Sarah (10/5): Blissful, perfect location , heavenly views - Amazing location! Beautiful views, quiet, relaxing. Close to wineries just perfect.
- Carl (10/5): excellent place for a long stay and highly recommend. - location , spacious, great hosts, well appointed, comfortable, many thoughtful touches, clean, great views, etc. a floor rug and bigger coffee mugs would be great.
- Harold (10/5): Great base for McLaren Vale touring - Very well equipped kitchen
